Shiso mojito tastes like a regular mojito, I liked it but if you can save money getting a regular mojito I would recommend that. Broccoli with pistachio was just the right amount of crunchiness and paired really well with pistachio, although I was surprised it was cold. Filling though and great for sharing and having veggies.Eel and cucumber roll tasted very fresh and perfectly balanced, good value for $10.Steamed sable fish was quite good.Service was good. Ambience was great.Great place for a dinner by yourself at the bar, although a little too expensive to be a frequent option.

Chirashi was priced $60 or $70, and I added uni for an extra $16. Pretty ordinary selection of fish, quality was decent. The uni was pretty good, but for $16, there were only 4 small pieces. The rice was pretty bland, I prefer more vinegar in my sushi rice, especially with richer fish. Staff was friendly and attentive, vibes were relaxed and great.

Amazing ambiance, great music, friendly service, delicious sushi. The decor is tasteful and the place has such an elevated comfortable vibe. Is definitely now one of my favorites.Try the tuna chutoro and yellowtail sushi.

Upon first walking in, I was immediately drawn by the atmosphere and a great vibes. We ordered a miso soup, a sashimi plate, and three rolls to share. I myself do not eat sashimi typically and prefer sushi, but I tasted a bit of the tuna sashimi which was incredibly fishy. The three rolls we ordered were bad- the rice was stale and the seaweed was chewy. The two of us ate one piece each of the three rolls and couldn't eat any more of it. Maybe it was an off night, but it was not for us. That being said, the wait staff was friendly, attentive, and efficient.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing sushi spot around the area.
We got about 6 sushi rolls and all of them was fresh and delicious, with amazing fish to rice ratio. Ordered a few appetizers too. Initially wanted the broccoli but it was sold out. We wanted a veggie dish but there weren't too many options on there so we picked the root salad, which wasn't bad, but I probably wouldn't order it again bc I'm not a fan of cold roots. The fish bone/skin dish was also super yummy but very tiny. Save room for the crème brûlée!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food and wine, impeccable service.
And it's a cute spot. Glad to have it in the neighborhood !
Be the first to ReplyThis used to be one of my favorite sushi spots.
Just praying for these cats now. Still love seeing my favorite waitress, I forget her name, been there forever though. May you get the collar again and some new employees, Amen
Be the first to ReplyThe food here was lovely.
Service was professional and attentive, and although we arrived for an early dinner, the place was fully booked on our way out. We were able to split a few plates and ended the night with our own desserts! Seaweed salad, tonkatsu, and more. I had the ice cream and my date had the crème brûlée.

Vibe: Stopped by here for a meal on a Friday night without reservations and was pretty easily accommodated. The place has both indoor and outdoor seating that looks best suited for smaller groups 2-6. The indoor looked very nice but we decided to sit on the patio with the pup . Staff was very nice but not super helpful in giving us recommendations and was confused about an old or new menu, which I had no idea what she was talking about. Either way the experience wasn't bad and the service was good. Food: was very excited by the menu initially but most of the flavors fell short, in regards to fish freshness and overall taste. Honestly I wish I could tell you what I ordered but nothing was that memorable. I do remember enjoying the salmon skin roll more than all the others (unagi, yellowtail, tuna, ???)My favorite part of the meal was the cheap house sale which was quite memorable lol. Long story short - whatever sushi at a local spot that is overpriced for their taste profile. By no means was the food bad but I'll skip out on this place.

Cute neighborhood spot with no wait on a Friday night! It was a pleasant surprise when I saw their patio was open on a late Friday night so stopped in for dinner and had an overall great experience, but unsure if it'll be a go-to sushi spot. The drinks:So affordable! Got their $12 "glass" of nigori and split it with my partner, it ended up being a total of about 5 tasting glasses of sake, perfect for usThe food:Some rolls were amazing and others were pretty mediocre. I'd come back to this place to continue finding the amazing rolls and just ordering those! My favs were their mushroom roll, salmon skin, and tuna toro. So so good! We also got their unagi and yellowtail and they fell pretty flat to me. Also got their pickles which were really good and I was surprised at how big this app was! Was expecting it to be just a few pickled veggies. The service:So delightful and thoughtful!!

The dinner I had with my friend, who was kind enough to share with me that this restaurant existed, was absolutely fantastic. This very may well have been the best sushi I have ever eaten in my life and I very much look forward to returning. The service was impeccable and atmosphere made me want to do a chill tango.
Be the first to ReplyDan was the best server I've ever had at any restaurant.

With great anticipation, I came here for dinner on a Tuesday with a friend. There is no way to make a reservation, and with very few tables in 1or8, we took a chance. There was a party of 3 who arrived literally minutes before we did, and so began the wait. We were allowed to sit indoors at a large wooden table near the entrance engaged in quiet conversation while we waited. It had to be about 20+ minutes of waiting? This is a restaurant where people come to linger, so after the party of 3 was seated, we waited some more. Finally, we were given one of the few tables for 2 outdoors. Then we waited for the waitstaff to come by and take our drink order. The menu is completely online which is the new post-pandemic norm, and it seems the dinner menu is updated daily. We ordered sparkling water which was really small cans of Pellegrino (be prepared to ask for more than 1 or 2). To share, we had the asazuke (nappa cabbage, cucumber, daikon radish, shio koji, yuzu described as "house made pickles" on the menu) to share, and I ordered the grilled mackerel and my friend had the tempura. We opted to split one bowl of rice instead one each. The theme here? We waited again for seemingly a really long time. This might be reassuring if you consider that each dish from the curated menu is prepared lovingly with market fresh ingredients and tradition instead of inefficiency and inexperience. Which is the case here? Hard to say.I found that my mackerel was crispy in the right places and savory where it counts. The seasoning was just right; however, maybe it didn't need to be drowned in all the miso sauce? The dish came with a small dab of "fried eggplant" according to the menu. It was soggy and otherwise characterless. My friend's tempura included kabocha (a type of squash), onion (rings), asparagus, and shrimp. She appreciated the quality of the tempura, but at the end of the meal summed up her experience as, "Good...but I've had better."To go the extra mile, I ordered the honey ice cream, honey crumb, milk shaving dessert. The presentation was beautiful, and this made the whole visit worthwhile. It had an understated flavor and satisfying creaminess without being too sweet. The crunchy bits of honey crumb were a pleasing touch.I had the sense that the restaurant means well, but I was underwhelmed. Please be advised that you will have to wait, wait, wait. I noticed some tables sat talking long after they had paid their bill, so this is a part of it.

This strange name is from Japanese phrase Ichi ka bachi, means challenging your luck.It took me a while to get the meaning since we don't use this phrase that often anymore.Their Japanese dishes are all superb! I was really impressed by their elaborate cooking and display.Shishito peppers were plump and fresh, best I ever hadeven in Japan or Spain where it's very popular, too.Kimpira was tender and mild, too mild for me. I like strong soy sauce and sugar plus chili taste better.Broiled Saba( mackerel) was juicy and fresh.Wish it came with daikon oroshi ( shredded? radish )Tonkatsu ( pork cutlet) was not sliced. Wondered why! Also not much cabbage ( must for Japanese)Salmon skin cucumber role was very tiny and not much salmon skin in it. For the price it is wimpy.Rose wine by the glass $9 was cool and easy to go with our food. The service was polite and professional. We ate outside, bit chilly, so hope to sit inside ( looked very elegant) very soon. Also a little bit more easy reading menu on the glass window and store name.Too quiet PR around this busy restaurant row area.

Staff is very friendly and warm! It took a few more minutes for my order to be ready for pick up but that was because there were many orders. There weresome cool tunes playing over the speakers and the restaurant smelled soo good. I couldn't wait to try eat what was smelling. I received my order, no more than 5 minutes after I had arrived, the woman again very nice and friendly. I rushed home fast to eat the food without having to reheat. I opened the opened the boxes and saw and smelled the most beautiful prepared dishes, even for takeout. I then saw smelled and tasted what those extra few minutes were for and it was for the quality. The fish in the chirashi was so fresh. Not a hint of fishy order or taste, beautifully arranged in layers on top the rice. So good. Unagi cucumber, very tasty. I liked the additional eel sauce. Tonkatsu also very delicious crispy light pablo flake, and once sauce with a bit spice and mustard good but made my eyes water a bit . The mackerel and eggplant have a nice smokey flavor of the grill This is now a place I will definitely be ordering from. I cannot wait to try more of the menu, and sit in the restaurant for the dining experience. Thank you
