Incredible food, even better service! Mark was beyond exceptional! We will absolutely be back and will be requesting Mark as a server. I am above and beyond guy.We went before Broadway, Mark was super on top of making sure we were in and out on time. The food from the apps to the drinks to the amazing banana split style desert... amazing!10/10 recommend. Best experience at a restaurant to date!
Be the first to ReplyI cannot say enough great things about this place.
First, the service is impeccable. You never want for anything. The food was amazing (Sea Bass was delicious, and the crusted Tilapia we surprisingly delicious). I also got the banana split for which was unlike any other and I'll dream of it forever. The immediately ask if you're going to a show so they can ensure your on time. I can't imagine visiting NYC ever again without having at least one meal here. Highly recommend!tripadvisor.com/ShowUser…

Meh. I've been here a couple of times and this last time, the brunch was just meh. We were sat fairly quickly, but we had to share a space with another group. We were basically at the same table. Food was not made fresh but placed on warming plates. The plate burnt my hand. As for seasoning, the meals were underwhelming and I was surprised. It was definitely better the last time. Don't think I'll be back.

Be the first to Reply44&X has a great thing going with the Mediterranean chop
44&X has a great thing going with the Mediterranean chop salad, all creamy feta and firm, mildly pickly hearts of palm. And a pretty okay thing going with their very sharp-cheddared and layered mac and cheese, though it was on the cusp of too al dente for me and even gave a few crunches. But then, under the crisp curl of its tasty sea bass, lay a broth that tasted like a swimming pool. All chlorine. The broth was supposed to be mussel and saffron, which is an incredibly brave broth to attempt given that both spoiled mussels and cheap saffron can taste like chlorine. So if you're going to offer that combination, better make sure you've got a tight handle on your ingredients. Because the broth ruined everything. I could only eat the food that was above the broth line - everything else was unsalvageable.I didn't want to admit to my dining partner that her favorite restaurant had done this, so I asked for a to go box. They gave one to me but didn't seal it. So when I got home, my whole purse was coated in chlorine mussel saffron broth. Will the broth's influence never end?
Be the first to Reply44 × 10, is in the heart of Hell's Kitchen.
Located on 44th Street and Tenth Avenue (hence the name). Serving classic American dishes, fine hand-selected steaks, and great amazing seafood. Good choice after or before a Broadway play. Perfect location! Fun Fact: At the bar you will find a list of Broadway-themed cocktails. How was it: I love that they have a seasonal menu. When the seasons change, so does their menu. However, one thing remains the same. And that is what I came for, their signature dish. But before the main event, I started with "The MJ Musical" cocktail. A cucumber spiked cocktail. And the autumn season special appetizer. A soup made with artichoke puree, truffle oil, and topped with crab meat. Then I had the main event. Grilled braised short ribs, Vermont white cheddar mashed potatoes, with black truffle port wine reduction. I wasn't a big fan of the wine reduction. But the short ribs were priceless. Perfectly cooked and tender aka "falling off the bone". Can't wait to eat the rest for lunch tomorrow

We arrived 10 min late for our reservation due to traffic from an ambulance and our table had been given away. The host was a tad rude as he told us it would be another 20-30 min for an open table. I highly recommend the Mediterranean restaurant across the street, great food, welcoming environment and warm staff!

Adding dinner review to this! Popped by on a Wednesday for dinner with my boyfriend. Place wasn't packed which was really nice. Waiter was super attentive and the waiter was super attentive. The dinner menu was sooo good - pricey but goood! To start we got this goat cheese, pistachio soufflé was incredible! so soft and airy. The smoked salmon was delicious, just wish the sauce was a bit thicker so it would stick to the salmon bite better. The chicken my boyfriend got was also really good. Loved this place, glad i came back for dinner as well.

Nice looking place. Nice people. Decent. Average. Okay. That is all.

Hollandaise sauce was gelatinous. Crab cakes tasted like fancy feast. Waiter insisted they didn't have breakfast potatoes when my friend asked for them, said they only had French fries or sweet potatoes. Then proceeded to bring out 2 other peoples meals which came with a side of breakfast potatoes. Manager was drunk, and when we asked to speak to him he was belligerent and rude. Do NOT go here. Gross food, shitty staff. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Nice atmosphere, great service, and unique preparations of breakfast classics for weekend brunch. Had Huevos Ranchero. Bueno!
Be the first to ReplySuch a great place to eat! It's one of our favorites.
You must get the Sunday for dessert. We tell people to go when in NYC and everyone thanks us. Treat yourself!

We were surprised and delighted with this restaurant! Waitstaff was Knowledgeable and professional and guided us through the different offerings. The wine list was good and the espresso martini was fantastic. The signature chopped salad was unique and delicious and the short ribs were a "10". The pistachio crusted tilapia was also amazing. We ordered too much food (as usual) but managed to eat it all and not let any delicious morsels go to waste. I would definitely recommend this place!

Decor/Ambiance: The decor was all white which I liked and the ambiance was nice. I have no complaints there. Food/Drinks: I ordered some kind of tequila drink which I liked. For appetizer I got the goat cheese and entree I had the duck. Both were very good. Overall: It was a pleasant experience.
Be the first to ReplyTL;DR: Amazing restaurant and atmosphere for the price.
The crisp white decor and fairy lights have a non-pretentious date night vibe with equally charming food. My friends and I have always passed this place and wondered what it was like - especially since it's one of the more upscale restaurants in the Hell's kitchen area. We finally went Wednesday night! While it was still pretty busy, our waiter indulged us in the restaurant's history. It's been around for 22 years, well before Hudson Yard's development. I ordered the pistachio fish and my friend got the short ribs. Both were fantastic, but especially the short ribs... tender and drenched in a smoky sweet marinade balanced with mashed potatoes. It tastes like something my mom would have cooked if she was three times a better chef: comfort food but with more gourmand slant. The fish was also good - the cream was excellent. I can say that this restaurant does any sauce well. So good I cleared my plate before a photo! I would highly recommend this place if you're in Hells kitchen.

Outdoor enclosed area a welcome buffer from the freezing weather. A tall beer and glass of wine for $10, unheard of reasonable. Pleasant service.
Be the first to ReplyCame for brunch.
My wife and I both had the crab cakes and poached eggs. The food was fabulous. The basket of mini muffins they bring to the table were amazing. The service (Carlos) was friendly and efficient but not intrusive. The patio is well set up for outdoor dining; it is covered and has overhead heaters, and is fully open on one side for airflow. Could not have asked for anything better!
Be the first to ReplyReally enjoyed brunch here.
Very busy, so I recommend reservations. Extensive menu! Was not sure about the portion sizes since no quantities listed on menu, however they were very generous. Good experience. Quick quality service. Also thoroughly enjoyed all the Broadway-esque names on the cocktail menu. Very fun!

Very accommodating with a reservation change on a Saturday night. The food was amazing. Had the salmon and braised short rib. Both were to die for. Our waiter Carlos gave us suggestions and they were spot on! We were lucky to have him as our server. He recommended the banana split dessert and it was incredible!! We will definitely return.

Live down the street and have been meaning to try this place! The basket of muffins were delicious and bright, we loved them. We ordered Eggs Royal and Herb Scrambled Eggs. The grits with the herb scrambled eggs were amazing, the sweet sausage was fine, and the eggs were pretty good! The eggs royal was amazing all around. A little expensive, but the service was wonderful and super speedy. In and out in 45 minutes! Definitely recommend

The fried chicken and waffles are amazing - would definitely recommend!

Finally came here after passing by it so many times and seeing it be so crowded but it honestly did not live up to my expectations at all. The service was good but the seating was so close together which makes sense since they're so busy but also not very COVID-cautious. The food was also super underwhelming and lacked flavor. The portions are big but we didn't want to finish our food because it was so lacking. They do start you off with muffins before you order your entree but wouldn't come back again.
