Never Again
A young lady greeted us at the front of the restaurant when we checked in. Because of the loud noise inside we chose to sit outside. The cafe tables were nicely set, our menus were brought, and we were given water. Bread with a bottle of olive oil came shortly after. When my pasta order came, I could see that the rim and underside of the bowl were sticky and smeary. The waiter said that it happened when the cooks put the pasta in the bowl. I asked for a wet cloth to clean it. I was given a dry napkin. We waited for what seemed like a long time for the waiter to return. I finally got up when I looked in the window and saw him looking at his phone for some time. When he saw me he got up. I told him we were ready to go. We finally paid our bill and left. It was an awful experience.
Be the first to ReplyGo now-as the pushy crowds have returned to the city
Now is the time to go to this spot as I see that the throngs of impatient Manhattanites have journeyed back to the city. Now I can enjoy this great place without being surrounded by The In crowd-or the The @Young and the Restless! They have always done food the right way so zI would recommend them
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food in a great location to see and be seen
Had two wonderful meals at 75 Main (lunch and dinner). Food, staff and ambience was very superb both times. Will go back again.
Be the first to ReplyNot quite what I expected.
At 75 Main you have two options, to sit inside or outside. Outside you are sitting up against parked cars or on either side of steaming pedestrians. On the inside, where we chose to sit, it is very noisy. The cocktails were fine although skimpy. The service was fine. I had a skirt steak with a poor imitation of chimi churri sauce and my wife had an overcooked bronzino. All in all ir is a popular place for people who like to be seen.

My friend picked this for us and I didn’t look at reviews before so I went. Don’t do it. $30 entrees and no one, out of 6, ate half their meals. Staff was nice
Be the first to ReplyEnjoyable brunch with excellent service.
I have read many poor reviews however our experience was excellent. We were a party of 3 and dined for brunch mid-week during the early summer season. The restaurant was very quiet, I think there may have only been 1 other table of diners. Our waitress was extremely attentive and friendly. Our meals (eggs benedict, waffles, & pancakes) were all delicious and promptly served. It might be a bit on the pricey side, but to be expected in Southampton. Overall and excellent experience and meal.

I usually never write a review for a restaurant; however, the experience at 75 Main was egregious enough to warrant one. I wanted to like this restaurant, but if I could give it less than one star, it would be a -5 Star review. Everything went well with us(2) being promptly seated for our 7pm reservation. Sad to say, that is one of the very few things that went well during our dinner. After receiving our water, it took an additional 15 minutes before our order was taken. We ordered the Tuna Tataki as a starter to share. At that time, I noticed I did not have silverware. The Tuna Tataki which was actually pretty good, flavorful and seared well; however, it came out roughly 20-30 minutes after ordering. A few minutes later, our main dishes came out. The timing should have been spaced better. We ordered a pasta dish with sausage and broccoli rabe which had virtually no seasoning. The sauce was subpar at best. For all we know, the sauce could have been the water they boiled the noodles in. We also had the halibut special of the day, which was flavored well. Would have liked more crab meat on top as it was roughly 2 tablespoons of crabmeat. The drinks came out during our main course after we inquired about not receiving them; again, timing should have been better as we usually order another round at that time. It would be another hour before we were checked on by our waiter. We noticed that other tables were also waiting for an hour+; however, some tables appeared to have been receiving special attention. We also took note to how management treated the staff in front of the guests, which was not a good look. Honestly, the entire ordeal was a disappointment. Was it the MDW jitters? Who knows. But for an established restaurant, we expected better. First and last time at this restaurant.

Just don’t go. The only reason we tried it again after swearing NEVER AGAIN was because the couple who made the reservation swore that they got a new chef. We heard that there was a new chef but that was two months before and obviously new ringmaster or not it was the same putrid circus. To be concise I ordered the fresh bass special whole fish and requested that it be filleted and deboned. The waitress brought back a lump of chopped fish with a pin cushion amount of small needle size bones. One mouthful almost choked me- couldn’t swallow it. The pin bones were stuck between my teeth. Just terrible. Unprofessional and inedible. Just keep walking
Be the first to ReplyNOT A BAD CHOICE WHEN IN SOUTHAMPTON..
This is a great place for Lunch, Brunch or Dinner when in Southampton. In the summer grab an outdoor table.
Be the first to ReplyBad idea for weekday breakfast.
We were the only ones eating breakfast here...we wanted a nicer meal and waitress service or would have gone to the Golden Pear which is right up the block and was bustling. (And, to our surprise, we should have gone to Golden Pear).
For our party of two adults and two toddlers, we got (non-alcoholic) beverages, two omelets with some sides, a waffle, fruit, bacon and a side of toast. The bill was about $100. Nothing looked like it was made by a chef let alone a good short order cook. The omelets were unevely browned and the plating was sloppy. The toast was cold and the butter wouldn't melt. The wads of bacon (or should I call them clumps) were overcooked in places and undercooked in others...and the slices were inseparable. The waffle was enjoyed by the toddlers. The waitress was nice when she could be found but was obviously more interested in doing her side work to get ready for lunch than waiting on our table.
Bustling
The place was bustling with activity at lunch. Outside back area cramped and furniture mismatched. Not what I would expect. Lobster roll on a nice roll with enough tender lobster. Quesadilla with less lobster and disappointing. Service OK but nothing great. Alittle attitude noted.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing
I took my teenage daughter and her friends to 75 Main for lunch. I was not expecting much knowing that it’s a see and be seen type of place but the food was mediocre at best. We were charged $6 to put cheese on a burger that came with a very small portion of fries (that we were charged $ 10 extra to upgrade to truffle fries.)
My salad was tasteless.
Service not great either. Had to ask for water to be refilled.
Go elsewhere.
Simply Awful!!!!
Just overpriced and awful. Small portions of pasta that tasted like they were from a hot food bar at a Deli. Salad for $22 that was drowning in dressing and couldn’t feed a five year old . Don’t waste your time or money. Eat anywhere else!!! McDonald’s would be a big step up
Be the first to ReplyBrunch fun!
Yummy brunch menu, so many options and great service, They are open for indoor and outdoor seating. If you come for dinner on the weekend, I would suggest making a res on opentable or call in.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible, overrated, overpriced
What a terrible restaurant: totally overrated and overpriced.
Food is tasteless. Very basic menu.
Service is poor: staff is walking through the restaurant with garbage bags, ice bags, etc.
Got sick after the meal... which raises concern about hygiene standards...

The menu is hit or miss. Some items are solid while others are surprisingly subpar. Order at your own risk!
