good noodles
We went at peak lunch time on a Tuesday and there was no line. I think it's something special and not a go-to for the local lunch crowd. It was more expensive at $10.50 SGD than other stalls that had long lunch lines. It was still delicious. Great thin noodles and lovely soup...but on the side. It is a unique dish in the hawker center.

Go early at lunch because they are likely to sell out fast. There is a large crowd of office workers that descend on the Food Centre at lunch. Looks just like the title picture.

Holy moly the Singapore noodle soup was amazing. How do they peel such a soft boiled egg?? The crunchy bits they serve on the side delicious. The spicyness down the bottom with flavourful broth and delicious dumplings. Yum
Be the first to ReplyBe sure to try the Yuzu soda
My friend had the Singapore Ramen. It was more expensive than other hawker food but was a very large meal. We both loved the Yuzu soda and kept going back for more on other days

Managed to pack for lunch and family truly enjoy this! Love their noodle which is stringy and excellent taste! Love all their accomplishments with it! Order their M and their portion was generous!! Will be back for sure
Be the first to ReplyVery good, but not great
Ordered delivery during Phase 2. Even after taking into consideration the decrease in quality for not consuming immediately after it’s prepared, the bowl was pretty good, with all the ingredients of above average quality: ramen, dumplings, prawn fritters, char siew. We also ordered dumplings soup. Would we go back? Probably not. It’s pretty good, but not sufficiently great to justify the long queue. We would just satisfy ourselves with nearby ‘I Want My Noodles’ - same same quality lah.

From like five years back, I had tried this noodle to see what's the hype. Hailed from two enterprising chefs whom resume boast of fine dining kitchens they had since been awarded Michelin guide and much media attention. Today I came back again, and its seem they had been constantly improving their offerings. As it was, although touted as a ramen bowl, I wouldn't call it ramen strictly speaking, its not soaking in soup broth and the thin, springy, chewy noodles are more like Hong Kong's wanton noodle texture. Much of the ingredients are a mixed fusion of Japanese inspired ramen and Hong Kong's dried wanton noodles. Deep Fried Potatoes strip wrapped shrimps or ebi fry is similar to Ramen toppings, though way easier than Tempura, providing the crunch. Wantons were quite unlike Hong Kong's where they wrapped a whole prawn, here their wanton has more pork fatty bits, though quite flavourful still. The stars in the bowl has to be the ultra tender and flavourful Japanese style Pork Char Shu and the Ajitsuke Tamago or braised Japanese soft centred boiled egg. Epitome of the Japanese street food culture, they capture these essence perfectly. Shred some of that tender, fatty Char Shu blended into a mouthful of runny egg yolk coated springy noodles and you have a powerful and chewy Fusion Mee Kia heaven. Add that prawn-umami flavoured chilli for some extra punch. Although since five years ago their prices have almost doubled, now menu prices are $9 / $12 / $16 and some have neen complaining. Well in my opinion if you can afford $5 up bubble tea and blended coffees, you can afford $9 Michelin noodles. I will support their creativity and effort to improve. Where else can you find this Fusion noodles? Although lunch opening times state until 2pm, I am here at 1pm and they turned off the lights after my bowl of noodles, sold out and I am the lucky last. So come early, come ready to queue, come with an open mind for Fusion noodles.

The only way we can accomplish eating at many hawker food stalls is that we have to make a decision to line up at different stalls before they open. Yes, there was a lineup before the stall open and it was quite a wait to order. Judging from the lineup, the owners obviously did not have to work super long hours like other stalls in the vicinity. They open a few hours for the lunch crowd and then again for the dinner crowd. The food itself is sublime, fusion chinese wonton noodles/ramen noodles with cha siew, egg and deep fried potatoe wrap shrimp plus all the additional noodle toppings. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it. The only draw back was that I had to share this bowl with my daughter. Going back some day soon...

This is really the best fusion noodle I've had. It comes with many ingredients, chicken wing, wanton, pork, egg. The noodle is thin and tasty, and even the bowl of soup that comes with the noodle is good! Be prepared to queue though

If you are a ramen fan, and would like to try an alternative version, one that has a local twist then you will like this place.
The dish is a blend of Singapore wanton noodle and Japanese ramen. It comes with slices of Japanese style char siew, onsen egg, and a fried shrimp wrapped in potato. While the price tag of S$9 appear to be high for a food center stall, the quality is very good.
You can also opt to upgrade to the special with a whole egg, additional shrimp, and a bowl of mushroom with fish maw for S$16. That's what I did and I enjoyed it thoroughly!
