Adrian Quetglas Restaurant Palma Reviews from The Last Year
Excellent food and service
Exceptional service, delicious food at affordable prices. Highly recommended for a special occasion or just a treat.
Disappointing
First courses were good, but it just went down hill. The wine pairings rarely went with the dishes (and perhaps a cultural thing but they were extremely small for the price tag, like a mouthful) The rabbit dish was sickly, with the rabbit not well trimmed, alot of sinew and bone, like more than usual. The veal dish just overpowered by the Berry oil and also became sickly. The pre dessert I didn't eat because it was not good. I usually think of a pre dessert as a palette cleanser, however it contained wasabi and left terrible after taste. I can't remember all the other flavour I think melon. But none of them worked together and the textures made it unpleasant to eat together. The final dessert was similar in that it was sickly and the flavours just did not work. Blood orange chocolate and peppermint. Like eating a bar of chocolate, brushing your teeth then drinking orange juice. Just no. The service just wasn't up to par either. We opted for the premium wine pairings, but weren't offered description from the staff on why they were chosen, just simply told the wine, and region. Not any sort of tasting notes (even just the obvious back of the bottle info would hint that there was some thought behind it) several times new wines were poured without empties being cleared. Plates were left behind. With new dishes arriving. Staff were pleasant but really lacked attention to detail. 3 dishes of mine were clearly not enjoyed, and no attempt to ask for feedback from the staff, shows me the staff either know the dishes don't work, or they don't care. Either way it's not a great sign. The dishes don't lack skill, in fact technical skill is absolutely at the fore front of the menu, but there is a real lack of thought in the dish as a whole, and how the textures and flavours will work together to complete the dish. Really disappointing. Maybe it was an off night, but if not and that's their usual standard, I'm surprised the have kept the star based on our experience. And absolutely did not hit the mark for the pricetag.
Sublime
It was our first time in a star restaurant, and the truth is that everything was magnificent, it was the birthday of two of the diners and they were tremendously attentive. We tried the 5-step tasting menu along with the wine pairing, an excellent option, it was also the "inauguration" of that menu, the flavor and textures of the dishes were impressive, all related, simple dishes with specific touches, all very good yarn. We highlighted the albufera rice with beetroot and the sweet beef with coconut on the menu, and also the complimentary starter of truffled butter, and of course as a great lover of matcha tea, the dessert was refreshing and perfect to end a good meal. I also want to highlight the enormous care and interest of all the waiters, a highly recommended experience and we will surely return.
DISAPPOINTMENT
A disappointment. Overrated. Very high price for the experience. Good presentation but disappointment and little surprise in the dishes. A cheap restaurant atmosphere. Excessive noise. Great hurry.
Hugely disappointing. Obnoxious staff.
Hugely disappointing 2 out of 5. Experience did not come close to expectation. Seven course tasting menu was new that evening. Waiters, all male staff, lacked female representation) dressed way too informally, all wearing Adidas trainers, informed us they had not yet tasted the new dishes. Why not? Staff at a Michelin restaurant must know what they are serving to allow them to describe each course in detail. Interaction with us was minimal, almost non existent. Table text to us had the exclusive attention of the sommelier all evening, lacked awareness of other guests. One course had to be sent back as one element of dish had been forgotten about and had to be added. Had to rely on reading menu for each course descriptor. Presentation was ostentatious and almost comical at times. Courses served in plastic rocks and ceramic crabs, stick to white plates and let the food speak for itself. No where near the standard of English Michelin Star restaurants. Save money and book elsewhere.
Great food, poor elsewhere.
This was our first ever michelin star experience and sadly, it didn't live up to expectations. We expected the service, wine pairings and food to all be immaculate. However, the service was below par for such standard, the wine pairings were not well thought out. The food quality was extremely good, just a shame the other bits let it down. I'm quite surprised this place has a Michelin Star.
Highly recommend - including when pregnant
I loved the 7-course lunch tasting menu with wine pairing. We very much appreciated that the chef offered a pregnancy-appropriate version of the menu for my wife - and the food was still absolutely delicious!
Perfect
We really enjoyed the lunch and the perfect wine accompaniment, the service was very attentive and we didn't miss anything
Just splendid restaurant
We had a 7-course lunch 6 of Jan 2024. Everything was just outstanding; excellent service, nice atmosphere and above all excellent food and wines. Highly recommended
Worthwhile the evening !
Can only recommend this restaurant for a great price/quality diner in a nice atmosphere with an attentive service. Well balance creative plate’s, subtle flavour and good wine list ! Well worth the detour

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
