Nice place- simple but excellent food and drinks
I visited this place with my wife and daughter on last Frdiay and was impressed with the quality of food and drinks. We didn't have a reservtion and hence had to wait foralmost 30 mtniutes before we got a table in the backyard- a cute little space laid out with wooden bench alongside the wall. Our cocktails were very good and the Tamrarind Mezcal special drink was temptingly addictive. Food was excellent- wonderful flavor, fresh and neatly balanced with all the condiments/stuff mexican food is renowned for. Although one fo our dish -short rib Taco castillo got unduly delayed, the manager/owner was courteous to slide in skirt teak taco on the house. BTW, the rib Taco castillo was the only let down to otherwise excellent food and drinks we enjoyed at this fantastic place. Highly recommend the place! worth visiting! BTW pl make reservations before you visit, especially on weekends/holidays. Cheers

The atmosphere is beautiful inside, the staff was so quick and kind. I will definitely be back. Location is good and prices are fair.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere at San Miguel’s. It a cozy bar with some pretty rad lighting. The servers were super cute and took pride in their drink creations. The food was fine but I think it is a better bar venue.
Be the first to ReplyQuality Mexican Food
My husband and I were in NYC for a quick vacation and we stayed in Manhattan. The restaurant was just a 30 minute subway ride- not too bad. We made it for happy hour. Probably one of the best margaritas I’ve had in a long time. The restaurant was small so you may need to wait if you don’t get there early. The restaurant staff were really nice and helpful. The plates of food are small but good quality food. My husband and I got a few things to share.
Be the first to ReplyGood service, tasty food, only Mexican soft drinks
We were visiting NYC last week, and since we watch Jim Kramer’s show, Mad Money, we thought we would eat here. The food and service were both good. We had made a reservation for Saturday afternoon- we were early- and no problem getting a table. The thing I didn’t like was that they didn’t have soft drinks like coke, Pepsi- only Mexican soft drinks- and no ice tea.

This little tucked away bar located at 307 Smith Streeet - Brooklyn NY is owned by Jim Cramer as seen on Mad Money. Because it's owned by Jim Cramer we made a visit to Brooklyn to check it out. We were not dissipointed. Great Tequila and great service. Wish they had a larger food menue. After all we traveled a great distance (from Reno to New York).
Be the first to ReplyGreat Mexican neighborhood spot in Brooklyn with excellent service
My husband has wanted to go to this restaurant for a long time. He's a Jim Cramer fan and has heard him talk about the restaurant on his show and podcasts. So, when we needed to find a spot to meet Brooklyn-based family, we picked this one! We have no regrets! It was perfect. We went on a Monday night and it was not busy. We had a baby with us & we wanted to linger and catch-up. They accommodated all our needs.
Getting to the restaurant (even from Manhattan) is easy because there is a close subway stop and the walk is very short.
The restaurant is cozy and small, so I do recommend reservations. The food was all very fresh and delicious. Portions were a little small, but we did not leave hungry.
The service was fantastic. We were not rushed. It felt like a family-owned place.
Overall, it exceeded our expectations.
Tequila & family
To begin, the restaurant is very quant so, try to make reservations. The cocktails are so delicious and the food portions were small. The food was so fresh and delicious that everyone wanted more!!! The staff were so friendly and fun.
Like I said before between all of us out only complaint is that we would have desired bigger portions !!!
Wonderful cocktails, and appetizers
Drinks are great, chips, salsa, and guacamole very good. Great place to take a break and enjoy good food and drinks. In a very nice area.
Be the first to ReplyGreat spot we walked into...
We were in town on the 19th of July for a show in Prospect Park. Our VRBO was on Smith Street so we wandered down the block. We spotted the bar and walked in. It was not super crowded, maybe 1 or 2 other people, and we sat down at the bar. I ordered a house Margarita or 3, my wife - white wine. We also ordered the chili relleno, the fish taco and empanadas. I had the chili and is was one of the best I have had anywhere. Very tasty and perfectly fried. My wife enjoyed the fish tacos as well. On a recommendation we ordered empanadas to go to enjoy after the show. They too were fantastic. Tony was our bartender. He was great. Right on top of the drinks and really friendly. Jake, the bar manager was there too. A very nice guy to chat with.
If you are in the neighborhood, do stop in. (Especially during happy hour).
Perfect Neighborhood Bar
Love everything about this place! Brunch, lunch, dinner and margies are all outstanding! The entire space is warm and inviting; the patio perfect on a sunny afternoon or warm evening. Topping it off the owners and staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. We look forward to going to Bar San Miguel whenever we're in Brooklyn!
