Al - Afande - Ordered through GrubHub near closing time.
I don't know if the portion size was normal but my goodness there was plenty added to my to-go plates!!! I ordered the 5 piece falafel, mixed Shawarma plate and hummus. The falafels were not too bad, could use a little more to it. The chicken and beef..plenty of it (many thanks)... you could taste the flavors of the chicken and the beef had this nice smoked flavor to it! I would definitely get this again!!! So good! The hummus was very delicious! My meal came with two large pitas, which wasn't enough for my meats and hummus, but I'm grateful since I thought I would only get one.I'm impressed, Al-Afande! I met the owner the first in-person visit , and he was very nice and generous with giving us some complimentary baklava as a thanks for visiting. Overall,Great taste, great size, memorable flavors! I'll eat here again soon!

.... great service and food. Nice people working. Shawarmas are the best and their rice and hummus soooo good

All of our favorites, hummus, tabouli, falafel, Shwarmas, plus breakfast foods. Love it. We go their several times a week.

Service was great, we sat outside it was really peaceful and the food exceeded my expectations. Every single thing was cooked to perfection, seasoned well and very fresh. Also portion sizes were generous. The table near us got some delicious looking entrees I look forward to trying next. I highly recommend.

The authentic food was hot, fresh and delicious. The servers took good care of us. My friend and I ate outside on the patio. I plan to take the family back and enjoy the dining room as well. I enjoyed the entire meal from the first bite to the last, but the standouts for me were the mint lemonade and Baklava with Turkish coffee to complete our meal.

We ordered fatoush salad, falafel, chicken shawarma, gyro sandwich, beef kabob sandwich. Yes, service was a little slow. However, the food was excellent. We also had the mint lemonade, and it was delicious! My husband said it was the best falafel he's ever had. The salad was particularly amazing. Very fresh and dressing was great.

Literally threw out $110 worth of food. Horrific flavors. The beef I think was spoiled. Stomach upset all night. Hummus is awful. Chicken was even bad. Nothing really edible. So many great options even on the same road. Keep driving your stomach will thank me later. Sorry.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent authentic Middle Eastern food with broad menu.
Loved the fresh mango and mint lemonade drinks made with real fruit rather than bottled concentrates. The Haloumi flat bread is delicious and the hot Mezza (Middle Eastern empanadas) were so good I ordered two more portions to bring home to my husband and son. Everything we've tried so far has been generously portioned and yummy. But my favorite must haves are the Turkish coffee (large portion) and their baklava which is just as amazing as my dad's homemade recipe. While service might be a little slow at times, it's in line with the wait I've had at other restaurants as well. Cheers!!

An otherwise wonderful evening with 4 dear friends was almost ruined by the obnoxious, nauseating cigarette smoke at a nearby table at Allo Beirut in Katy.My spouse and I have visited Lebanon and eaten at many of the country's best restaurants. We also had a native Lebanese friend with us. All I will say about the food is that it was decent. Nothing wowed any of us other than our server, delightful, lovely Naralla.Nevertheless, it would still have been a delightful experience just based on being with our dear friends, but just as entrées were served, a table of men, along with the manager, started smoking cigarettes just a few feet away from us in the indoor room. The restaurant allows hookah, and that is something we've reluctantly accepted (though I've never understood how it's allowed indoors) at many of the restaurants with hookah in town. I understand that hookah bars in Houston, at least, may obtain a special license though I still don't see how they are allowed to do this in enclosed indoor spaces where food is served. But I'm shocked that in 2022, the City of Katydoes not have a no smoking ordinance, or that the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce does not call for one.The cigarette smoke mostly ruined the evening for us. If not for the fact that entrees had been served, we would have left immediately. I have no reason to recommend anyone visit this restaurant or any other that doesn't care for the comfort and welfare of its patrons and employees.

**HOOKAH/FRESH MADE DRINKS**It's ok here, we had nice service and there's so many tables, we didn't have to wait at all.We really enjoyed our food and even though it's really bright inside, it was comfortable and pretty modern inside. We enjoyed our dinner. Give it a try...Yala!

Food was decent but came out one entree at a time over the course of about 20 min. Prices were high for what you got and when my wife ordered a Diet Coke we got a literal 12oz can. And they refused to take it back, even though it hadn't been opened, and the waitress had just put it down 10 seconds before!! Definitely won't be coming back.

Large outdoor seating area but it was far to cold to sit outside. Plenty of seating inside. We order Humus, grape leafs, kibbeh and gyro sandwich, it came with fries and they wouldn't exchange for rice.., ok. The food took much longer than it should have and there was very little heat, it was 49 outside and not much warmer inside. The door is on the north side. And one of those slow close on their own doors that allowed far too much cold air in every time it was opened. The grape leafs were good, the humus was very thick but taste good. The gyros meat was dry and appeared to have been fried to warm. Food was pricey compared to other Mediterranean restaurants and didn't warrant the price. But what really got me was... I had to remind the waitress that I ordered a Coke Zero and she brought me a can... when there was a fountain, maybe it wasn't on the fountain and that's ok... But I was charged $3 for a $.50 can. That was too much. We won't be going back.
