Be the first to ReplyItalian Restaurant
I ate with my childrens twice on this restaurant but I dont like much. outdoor is too dark and inside is too tight on the seating arrangement, the chairs are next to each other.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing place
I went there on a Thursday night brunch wth a big group of my friends, and l must say l was really shocked to see the whole terrace so full. The starters to share were good, mains amazing, desserts new to me but a good taste and the service, wow thanks to one waitress Shakira .She was running and made everyone feel so special even when the place was so busy. I recommend this place and will definitely come back.
Be the first to ReplyOne of The Worst Experiences Ever
Where can I start... such a huge disappointment!
We went to the Thursday Night brunch where we found ourselves sitting at the outdoor lounge with no proper lighting or music but instead just chatter noise from people all around, bad vibe starting from the underwhelming entrance till the table...
Now Getting to the Food.
Well I find myself lost in words.. the place practically has an identity crisis.. From Cheap Sushi to Watery Pasta to Spicy Overcooked Risotto!!!! Steak with Ketchup-like sauce, Chewy Chicken Teriyaki. Lastly Sugary Tasteless Cakes and Desserts..
So i guess the cuisine is supposed to be Italian/Japanese/Asian/International/Everything...
If you care for your money, just don't even bother going there cuz it is just an overpriced total waste of money and underwhelming experience
Thursday Evening Brunch
The location is noteworthy, with a large terrace offering a beautiful view of the city. We went there for Thursday evening brunch. They offer a set menu for appetizers and main courses. For dessert there is a somewhat varied buffet. The appetizers were pleasant, mixing Italian and Japanese cuisine. For the main courses, the pasta was not well cooked and the risotto was too salty. Various types of desserts, but the quality is not that great. Good and attentive service. Overall a pleasant place, but lacking a touch of originality to be remembered and to encourage people to return.
Be the first to ReplyDinner time, excellent service
Frank was our waiter, during all time he made great effort to assist us and arrange what needed. The dishes were very tasty, however small sizes.
Great place for chilling and couples.
Very cold outside during winter, bring a jacket.
Poor choice of food
A couple of weeks ago I went with my firebds to try the Thursday evening brunch, and we got very disappointed from the food choice. The main courses were very limited,no start dishes and if you want to order something extra from the main courses was not allowed. I wouldn’t come back there. Otherwise, the service was good.
Be the first to ReplyGood Restaurant, too much of a service
They just need to work on bringing customers. Food is good, service was excellent. Reception bit confused. Manager helpful.
Be the first to ReplyPerfect sunset spot and amazing service
All’ Onda has become one of my favorites sunset spots in Dubai. The view is absolutely outstanding when you’re in the open terrace, specially for sunset.
On top of that, the service is always flawless from the entrance where you’re met by super polite and educated people like Ariela, to the table service with girls like Shakira that always make sure that everything goes smoothly and that you enjoy the experience. The menu is not full of variety, but it does offer some good options at very reasonable prices.
Again, the view and the service make the drive worth it. Definitely recommended.
Dinner ruined by lack of adequate management and service
In writing this review i am going to try and be as honest as possible based on my own personal experience earlier this evening during my girlfriend's surprise birthday dinner. First off let me start by addressing what many reviewers have described their food experience at ALLONDA as being inadequate or terrible. That is not true and actually the food is truly exquisite if you know what to order. Some items are over priced where as plenty of other menu items are perfectly priced. Food was surprisingly good taking into account how shocked I was when making my first few steps out of the elevator onto ALLONDA's entrance way where we were not greeted by anyone from the restaurant and continued walking alone for around 20 meters into a dull dark and gloomy hall way with very cheap plastic green branches on the walls before we found our way into the main entrance of the restaurant. We were then able to talk to the manager of Allonda who ushered us to our table on the terrace. My first impression of the terrace was of dismay. Gloomy, badly lit outdoor area and what appeared to be very cheap furniture that certainly doesn't fit the brand of a luxury and beautiful hotel such as the Emerald Kempinski. I noticed water on the ground and very dirty concrete like it had not been cleaned for a few weeks. Now in regards to our table, when I called them i specifically requested a table next to the ledge where we can have the background of the palm behind us and the lady confirmed she would do so. I expected how important this day was for my girlfriend and made it clear that i cancelled a dinner at ceasars palace hotel to make our dinner of 10 people at their location. In the end we were given a table in the middle of the terrace with no view and nothing else around us except annoying children running around our table for the first 25 minutes or so of our time there. The table was gloomy black made of the cheapest wood available and you can see the cracks everywhere. I was extremely upset and went into speak to the manager and give him a piece of my mind about the lack of thought to our table and the filtht concrete ground with patches of water around our table. The waiters were not dressed up elegantly and you could see the lack in matching uniforms between the different employees. Another showing of how poorly managed the facility is even though the food is A class. With the exception of one lady waitress, the staff were not very well trained and showed a lack of interest in our table. I asked for fresh mint leaves, ice and lemon slicez and was only provided with Lemon and ice. I was told mint leaves were not available which blew my top. This is absolutely absurd that a restaurant that makes different foods, has different teas and drinks doesn't have mint leaves. Well it so happend that the male waiter was not putting his effort in as i spoke to the lady waitress to please provide us with mint leaves or i will walk out as I am reaching the point of frustration with the whole experience from the moment we walked in to meet out friends. Attention to detail is clearly not this management team's focus and shows their lack of expertise and high quality standards. It feels like they created a car with a Ferrari engine (the kitchen and food concept), but did not create a beautiful design and execute the production of a quality and luxury car. Instead placing a Ferrari engine into the body of a chinese car (the facility, ambience and furniture of the restaurant) and driving on one wheel (the poor training of the staff who were slow and management team with the exception of 1 or 2 attentive staff members). It is a true shame when such a delicate food concept is hindered by poor experience and execution by a hospitality and marketing team that clearly has no benchmark of standards to uphold. With proper training in dealing with and listening to customers, revamping of proper and synced uniforms for all staff members, adding better build furniture, nice colourful real plants, colored lights to the terrace, the restaurant can become a cool and in place. Perception is key to everything when you eat food and having to experience a drab and poor ambience with terrible physical elements in a restaurant carrying the names of a very good global chef brand is disappointing and will put you off from ordering. At the least have the staff wear proper well designed uniforms. The cutlery too, the plates are different colors, different designs. Nothing about this place speaks of a brand that has been thought through from beginning to end. A real shame especially when you have kids running around your table of 8 adults at past 9.15 PM. Really nothing to do with the photos and marketing they try to cheat you on by upselling us on what is supposed to be a glamorous setting. Had they just marketed who they are without the make up then we may not have been disappointed with the overall outcome. Again Perception, Perception and Perception are the key to a consumer's final opinion....
