Hidden Gem in Vegas! 💎
This place was recommended to us by a friend prior to our Vegas trip. We also saw them featured in a TikTok or something for their big giant dishes inside of a cone. We made a reservation several days in advance for dinner. I thought it was a fancy upscale downtown place or something so I was kinda shocked when we pulled into a random strip mall in North Vegas. Nevertheless, our waitress was excellent and very familiar with the menu, the food was.wildly unique and made to perfection. The chicken Alfredo garlic knots were just amazing. Prices were reasonable. We got the big famous cone "fat babies" but their pizza looked incredible too.

Made a reservation here and we called to say that we were running late. The employee said that we should still come because the table was not ready yet anyway. However once we arrived, that same person said that he gave our table away. We traveled 20 minutes to get there and they were very unapologetic and rude after encouraging us to come. The place also looked kind of dirty and didn’t match the pictures. There was a dirty dish rag smell when we walked in and there were flies located at the front entrance so I can’t imagine what the back/kitchen looked like. Better options are on the strip with more availability. Don’t waste your time.

Seriously, this is easily one of the more frightening things I have ever eaten.
Then again, this is also one of those things that I just *had* to order, because, I mean, did you see what it is?
You need to be a touch careful tho' - my self-control allowed me to do the obligatory "eat a bit of it" and then walk away. Otherwise, I suspect There Would Have Been Issues...
(Other than that, the rest of the food is ... ok. But you've *got* to try this!)
Great food and service
We ate here for lunch on a Tuesday. We made a reservation because we read that the dining area is small (and it is), however since we went right when they opened we probably could have gotten away without making a reservation. Our server was Nicole and she did a great job. She was very friendly and attentive. My husband and I each ordered a fat baby and loved them. We didn’t order it, but heard another table ask about adding protein to their fat baby and it sounds like you can add chicken or shrimp. I must say they are huge and impossible to eat on your own without adding any additional toppings. I don’t even think I finished 1/4 of mine, but they wrap it up in foil to go for you. We also tried the rosemary garlic knots and those were also delicious. I highly recommend stopping here!
Be the first to ReplyTry the Pizza Pie-zoni!
On your next trip to Vegas, suggest sneak off the strip to this pizzeria! We ordered the pizza pie-zoni, 1/2 pepperoni pizza and 1/2 calzone stuffed with alfredo pasta. Absolutely delicious! Eat-in area is small so reservation is suggested. Staff was friendly. Will definitely try this place again.

Such a fun little place! We all ordered Fat Babies! They were delicious and filling. Also, tried the pizza. Also good! Be sure to make reservations if you'd like to eat there!

We like the pizza but all of the other food was disappointing. The Caesar salad is an expensive joke. Cut up head lettuce with a small amount of dressing.

My daughter saw pictures on Instagram and since we were going to Vegas… we made reservations.
Even with reduced capacity due to Covid restrictions, staff was super friendly and accommodating.
Would have eaten there a second time during our stay but they were closed our last day.
Definitely must do again.
Really good pizza with imagination
We were really in need of some good comfort food. Amanos has "regular" pizza and calzones but also interesting combinations (see their website. I can't explain) The crust is exceptional and the ingredients are very fresh. We got the pasta pie-zoni, which was phenomenal. We also had the lemon mascarpone cheesecake. I would go back to Vegas just for that. Blake, our waiter, took really good care of us. Amanos is a comfortable, locally-owned restaurant with great service and wonderful food. Definitely recommend!
Be the first to ReplyFat Baby is great
I went here with plans to bring my food home because from what I have heard there is always a wait. When I got there I eyed a small empty table and was able to stay there to eat. Since I had never been there I asked the waitress to explain the Fat Baby. She said they take half an italian bread and put your choice of spaghetti and protein into the bread. I order mine with linguini and veal parmigiana. It was hard to eat at first but I soon found a way to devour this delicious combination. I brought half of it home and when I warmed it up a few days later it was still great and I was amazed that the bread was still crunchy.
Be the first to ReplyGood pizza even though toppings were spase
We were staying at the Fairfield Inn next door and walked over for a pizza and a beer.
Unfortunately they can't serve alcohol because of a small church next door. We were very hungry and ate there anyway. Pizza was on the high-side but good nonetheless. Only down-side was that the toppings were very sparse. Metro Pizza has them beat.

Family Favorite
We found Amano a few weeks before they went viral with their Fat Baby. It was love at first bite! We went three times in two weeks and couldn't stop raving about the calzone and piezoni. They have definitely picked up in business and their tiny restaurant gets very busy in the evenings but the food is worth it! The rosemary lemonade is addictively delicious and large enough to share between two people. Only thing I won't order again is the salad due to its flavor profile and price. Then again, you don't go to Amano for the salad--you go for the Fat Baby, pizza, calzone and rosemary lemonade!
