Quality food, excellent serviceComfortable space I understand the pasta is freshly made every day. And it shows in the quality of all the pasta dishes.

It's a shame for a restaurant that was so good for so many years.

3.5/5. Dishes are interesting - while they were tasty, I wish they were more customizable, as it's harder to eat healthy here. Nonetheless, the food was good. Service is satisfactory, I have no complaints but it was nothing spectacular. The interior is OK but the garden area is lovely -- if you are able to secure seating outside, I would highly recommend. Would like to see another milk option outside of oat and whole milk. For those who drink beer, there are two options. Again, would like to see more, perhaps 3-4. The cocktail selection, however, is pretty solid. Worth checking out if you are looking for brunch in greenpoint and need a new spot
Be the first to ReplyGreat food.
Horrible service. Our waiter was harsh and made such inappropriate comments.
Be the first to Replyfirst, the waiter barely spoke.
was incredibly rude. it was as though i was annoying him by asking a question. the cotto benedict was liken to a salt lick. gross
Be the first to ReplyThis is our go-to for brunch whenever we are in Greenpoint.
Definitely try the egg biscuit and the lillet cocktail. Dinner is also delicious!

Made a resy Saturday for 9pm and once we sat down, we got told the kitchen is closing and to order as soon as possible. Why have a 9pm dinner reservation slot and not note that it closes at 9pm on a Saturday? We ordered and the waiter came back to tell us 2 of our main dishes are no longer available, so we had to chose another dish. Then we noticed they have a nice bar so we ordered cocktails and on round two after our appetizer got served, they told us they aren't serving cocktails anymore and the bartender already wrapped for the evening without a heads up. Whatever, so we bought a okay bottle of wine since the bar got cut off. At the end of our meal, all 4 of us said hmm maybe they will comp a dessert for rushing us, not having 2 dishes, no bar tender and nope. The waitress brought us our check without asking us if we even wanted desert. We spent $300 amongst the 4 of us trying to enjoy dinner time with friends we hadn't seen in a while and felt rushed and that the waitress as well as the restaurant didn't need business. Food was subpar.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious.
French toast was amazing. It tasted like funnel cake! Topped with fresh made whipped cream and blueberries and bananas. The BLT on ciabatta was outstanding with ample bacon and a delicious sauce. Service was nice and we had the front window table with a great view of neighborhood. Quaint atmosphere.

I thought the food was fairly average - we had the cauliflower tempura, spaghetti chittara and steak frites. The waiter was polite but he was.the only waiter taking orders and giving out checks for the whole outside so it was incredibly slow - not that he helped himself much, very rarely looked up to do a scan of the customers to see if anyone was trying to get his attention or to notice for himself that he should approach a table. It was the host that I found set things off badly - we arrived, walked down to 'check in' - he literally didn't look up, no greeting, nothing. We said hello, gave our name and said we had a reservation, no response other than 'one sec' muttered later after a long silence. This was followed by 'there you are' which seemed more for himself as he'd found us on the computer and honestly I don't even think there was a 'follow me' or a 'this way' - he walked ahead, placed the menus down at the worst table right next to where the plates were all stacked despite there being plenty of other nicer tables and left, not a word said, nothing - look up, smile, greet people, create a mild rapport, do anything. It was lackluster and honestly pretty rude. Overall just not worth it and considering the competition out there they need to seriously up their game.I really ike the bread they served at the start - that was great, unfortunately that was where my enjoyment of the food ended.

Food is SO good here! Really sweet staff I never feel rushed even when it's busy. Get the watermelon salad
Be the first to ReplyI have loved this restaurant for years.
I work in the area and it's a great spot for a double date on a Friday night. Their pastas are amazing. The bread is phenomenal, and you can't go wrong with the burrata appetizer. Fine cocktails and selection of wines too.

The staff here were incredibly nice from the moment we walked in. We were able to sit in their patio out back which was lovely. The food was great as well. I ordered a Lambrusco which was nice and chilled. Will definitely come back to this charming restaurant again in the future.
Be the first to ReplyCute spot, delicious food, super friendly servers.
Can't wait to come back and try their dinner menu.

Anella has been our go-to brunch and dinner spot since we moved to the neighborhood ten years ago. ย It is always a wonderful experience, and remains so during these strange Covid times. The drinks are expertly crafted (the spicy margarita is a solid 10) and the wine list is well curated and affordable. They still do the freshly baked bread in the flower pots which I love. All of their ย salads are fresh and delicious and their entrees are perfectly executed and well priced. Last night we had the hake and the mussels, both of which were delicious. We usually dine out back in the garden which is lovely; since they were full outside we ate in the dining room. Temperatures were taken and the tables were appropriately spaced. Long live Anella!
Be the first to ReplyNever has let me down for the fifteen years I've lived here.
ย Everything is reliable, everything is worth the price, and the other patrons haven't yet turned into the douches the neighborhood now hosts. ย Thank you, Anella!

I can see the appeal and the reason that lots of love Anella. It's the little things that make Anella so great. Such a fantastic menu, it was seriously hard to choose, but I am really happy that I got Fried Chicken Sandwich. Service was outstanding and every one working here was incredibly nice and hospitable. Definitely check it out.
