Fantastic brunch spot!We sat at the bar on a Sunday
Fantastic brunch spot!We sat at the bar on a Sunday afternoon for brunch. The service was amazing, the food was incredible and the drinks were awesome. The ambiance is also really nice - the inside is super pretty but they also have an outdoor area that's gorgeous. It's great for large groups or small get togethers. This is a great place to take friends visiting from out of town or to celebrate a special occasion.

I recently dined at AOC and was blown away by the quality of the food and service. The restaurant has a cozy, intimate atmosphere that makes it perfect for a date night or a special occasion. We ordered several dishes to share, including the fried chicken, braised pork cheeks, and clams with garlic toast. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with a perfect blend of seasoning that made it incredibly flavorful. The braised pork cheeks were melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the accompanying sauce had a depth of flavor that was simply amazing. The clams were also a standout dish, with plump, succulent shellfish cooked to perfection and served with garlic toast that was crispy and buttery. The service at AOC was exceptional. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations for wine pairings. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, and they made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in.Overall, I would highly recommend AOC to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. The food was good, and the ambiance was perfect. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu.
Be the first to ReplyFood is fine.
Service was decent, ambiance nice, ADDING ON AN ADDITIONAL 5% TO YOUR BILL to pay for the staff's health insurance without asking patrons in advance is LUDICROUS!!!!! They never even mention it, you have to catch it on the check. And on the bill it says you can ask for it to be removed if you like. Yeah, sure, make your customers feel like cheapos by having to ask for the 5% to be removed because you decided to dip into my wallet without my consent"! I know nothing about the people I am pitching in to pay for their health insurance. WTF!!!!! Never ever going back and spreading the word to as many people as I can on this BS!
Be the first to ReplyAOC is so beautiful.
It is a perfect date spot. The location is a great area to walk around in. The host and hostess are gracious and welcoming. The venue is intimate and the romantic lighting (read: dimmed) made it even more so.Mock Goddess Cocktail. So glad they offer mocktails. It's refreshing to find that restaurants are embracing the idea that not everyone consumes alcohol, but everyone appreciates a good drink. The Farmer's Plate was full of well seasoned and perfectly cooked seasonal vegetables, including a romanesco broccoli.Focacia Soppressata was warm yeasty heaven!Spanish Fried Chicken was seasoned well -- and not just with salt and pepper either!Spaetzle was tasty!Clams were buttery and delicious.Servers were fast, friendly and helpful.Suzanne Goin cookbooks available for sale!!
Be the first to ReplyHello AOC, you won over my heart with your beautiful charm.
This restaurant is extremely aesthetically pleasing, very much my style. We ordered the fried chicken, clams, polenta and Panna Cotta for dessert. The fried chicken was savory, crunchy and delicious. It comes with an incredible romesco aรฏoli & chili-cumin butter sauce. Definitely worth getting! The soft polenta has wild mushrooms, swiss chard, mascarpone & gremolata. We ordered the half portion. It was tasty. The clams were out of this world! It is paired with sherry, sliced garlic & toast. These clams had the most incredible flavor. It was so satisfying to dip my delicious garlic bread in the hot broth while savoring every bite! The panna cotta dessert was good. It is paired with grapefruit, kumquats and granola. I typically prefer blueberry or raspberry pairing but this was different and authentic. The service was excellent from the bartenders to the waitress and the staff. They have a great team. I will certainly be returning and definitely recommend you try it.

o.c. my first time at this restaurant and I loved it. The food was fresh and delicious, the portions were generous, and the Servers were on their A game. The Servers did not miss a beat. So nice and accommodating. a.o.c. is really a beautiful restaurant, light and bright, it all felt so fresh. I hope to return to this wonderful restaurant again.

Excellent food, great patio, and wonderful service! The staff were able to take extra precautions for celiacs/ gluten free. Our server, Michael, really went above and beyond to make the meal special. Best restaurant in the area!

I'm not sure if anyone in management will see this, but I write a review in the hopes that someone answers my question.I went to AOC on Sunday for brunch. The food was okay, and the service was good. What took this restaurant from a decent place where I could see myself visiting again (especially if I am in the area for shopping) to one that I won't visit twice was the healthcare charge. Many other reviews mention the healthcare charge, so I will not belabor the point. I understand it is "optional." However, AOC's system is not a checkbox allowing you to opt IN to the program, at your discretion. Rather, it's a default option that you are forced to explicitly opt OUT of--and I believe the motive behind the design is clear. My question is why do you choose to put the cost of your employees' healthcare on the customer? The only explanation I can think of is profit for management, but, if there's a legitimate reason for the system, I'd love to be educated on it.

I definitely recommend this spot, it's a phenomenal restaurant and has a great ambiance for a date night! The food and drinks were amazing and well priced.Alisha was our server and she went above and beyond to make sure we had quality customer service. 10/10
Be the first to ReplyFriendly service and good food! Hard to beat.
The portions here do not disappoint! I was full and had leftovers for lunch the next day. Music and dรฉcor felt like I was transported to a restaurant out the country.
Be the first to ReplyAdorable covered, open air brunch spot with tables spaced
Adorable covered, open air brunch spot with tables spaced far enough apart to give one piece of mind. There is also an outdoor patio section under umbrellas on the right side of the restaurant. Our server Michael was a wonderful ball of energy who explained our meal in such a way that it felt more like a dining experience than merely something off the menu, which made us enjoy it even more. The brioche and Turkey focaccia were tasty, but the real show stopper was the chocolate torte dessert for all of you chocolate lovers. Parking: valet or metered street parking.

Years ago we ate at Leuques for dinner and it was outstanding. We are brunch and it was not great but just ok to good. Someday we need to try again for dinner

AOC is overpriced and mediocre. The atrium has been replaced by outdoor seating. The parking lot is accessed by a touch screen that can't be read in daylight. Remember validation--server did not ask.The sandwich was drenched in oil that dripped and the avocado was in chunks--the mess should be in a wrap or pita. We had a pleasant time with our friends, enjoyed the outdoors, and athe service was good.

Wow! What an incredible dining experience!Never had we had an experience like this before. Everything we tried was exceptional. Such great combinations of ingredients - it was so incredible. Our waiter Ernell was terrific, I would ask for him if I'm lucky enough to return. Definitely not the typical place we frequent or could afford, but this a special occasion.

I loved the garden that we were seated in, but inside and the patio on the opposite side were also of great ambiance. Our server was the most knowledgeable - Evan. There were four of us and not all were too familiar to the idea of small plates. Evan did a great job helping us select dishes that we absolutely loved!!! Everything was seasonal and super flavorful. Cocktails were delicious. I will definitely be back.

This place was amazing! Service was helpful, we didn't know what to order so he brought out surprises and everything was delicious
Be the first to ReplyMy eggs in a skillet looked amazing in the menu.
My wife ordered it too - but alas there was zero flavor. And the last thing you wanna do is dump salt on a $20 egg dish. Wouldn't have been so bad but our waiter never even asked how our food was or I would've mentioned the blandness. Then they would've had the opportunity to offer us something different or take are less than half eaten eggs off the receipt. AOC also adds a surcharge for waiters healthcare. Unfortunately I don't think will be going back.
Be the first to ReplyIf you're considering this place for a birthday
If you're considering this place for a birthday celebration, look no further! This was my third visit to A.O.C, so this review is long overdue. Hosting a group for special occasions really puts a venue's customer service to the test, and this place continues to set the bar of excellence higher each time I return. Making the reservation was a breeze. I was a little nervous about putting down a credit card to reserve a table when I barely knew some of the people coming to dinner. The host who booked the reservation explained that the card on file usually only gets charged when people are rude and pull a no-show without any decent human communication about their time slot. We chose an early 5pm seating time so that the natural lighting would be nice for photos. On the day of the reservation, I was able to change the reservation from 4 to 6 people with a simple call. This was partly thanks to a backyard holiday weekend occurring with everyone in LA being out of town, but the process of changing things over the phone with the restaurant was effortless. The hosts were so accommodating and friendly, even when we arrived 15 minutes late. They directed two of our guests to the bar to wait for us and then seated our group once a majority of the party had arrived. It was nice to have our table already seated on the patio with all of the flower bouquets set up when the birthday girl walked through the door. Because of our time slot, our table service transitioned between two servers. This transition was also effortless and both servers were amazing. Bussers were so attentive and accommodating as well. It felt like we had a mini private event in the middle of the dining floor! Now, on to the menu. The shared plates were perfect for our group, since everyone wanted to try a bit of everything. For the savory plates, we ordered the Bacon-wrapped Dates stuffed with Parmesan, Weiser Farm Fingerlings with chives and crรจme fraรฎche, Three Cheese Board, Charcuterie Board, Farro & Black Rice with currants & pine nuts, and the Liberty Duck with fennel-potato gratin & roasted apricot. There was something for everyone to try, despite the dietary restrictions in our group. For dessert, we enjoyed the Basque Cheesecake and a honeydew sorbet-type dessert topped with a butter cookie. The servers made sure to put a candle in one of the desserts for the birthday girl. Both desserts tasted amazing. We topped things off with espresso and black coffee - also amazing. Having so many wine options by the glass gave everyone their own custom experience. None of us were heavy drinkers and everyone had different tastes, so it was nice to not have to decide on a bottle for the group. My only note in this department was that the selection of sweeter wines is limited on the wine list here. The birthday girl found her Riesling to be a bit dry and there didn't seem to be any other alternate options. Overall, this place was exactly what we were looking for. Intimate vibes with a unique flair! Several of us had planned on requesting our own separate tabs, but when the bill came we ended up just splitting everything because it was surprisingly reasonable. There's an automatic percentage added on to the bill for the staff's health insurance coverage, and it was so nice to know that the amazing people serving us were working for a good company. Apparently they will take off the extra charge if you ask them to, but..... why?! Thank you so much for a magical celebration, A.O.C.! We will be back again soon. Xo
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Meal and service.
This restaurant had many small plates with great choices. We shared a starter with roasted vegetables, hummus. Then shared hanger steak with curried cauliflower and fingerling potatoes. Dessert was great. A butterscotch pudding
Be the first to ReplyI don't often leave bad reviews on Yelp but if I feel that
I don't often leave bad reviews on Yelp but if I feel that an injustice has been done I want to warn other customers. I started planning my 50th birthday dinner for twelve people about 6 weeks prior to the event. I reached out to AOC to inquire about availability and outdoor seating since a number of my guests are extremely sensitive to COVID risks (one has cancer and another an elderly and infirm parent). I was told that they could request outdoor seating and was provided a bunch of information. Once I decided to proceed with this restaurant (about 10 days later), I called to make arrangements to hold the space and was informed that they couldn't guarantee that our seating would be outdoors. I laid out the reasons for my need for outdoor seating but they didn't seem to care at all, claiming it was "restaurant policy." We hung up after I made it pretty clear that I couldn't move forward with them and I proceeded to look for other venues which is already proving to be a bit difficult. I just received an email (one day later!) advising that the space is no longer available, basically rubbing salt in the wound. Bottom line, they treated me like a commodity instead of a person and/or a valued guest. I won't be going back to AOC ever and everyone else should know that you are only as important as the next larger and more important person that walks in their door. Ick!!!P.S. the fact that they don't even bother to address bad reviews on here tells you EVERYTHING you need to know... โ

The food and service are absolutely perfection! We tasted pretty much everything on the menu and I can't praise it enough.
Be the first to ReplyHonestly it wasn't great.
The food didn't impress me and the service was lackluster. Saw this place on TikTok and I feel like I got catfished.
Be the first to ReplyThis place deserves 10+ stars, all thanks to the best
This place deserves 10+ stars, all thanks to the best bartender Tony! My husband and I had some time to kill on Sunday and decided to stop by for few drinks here. Obviously the place was fully booked, but we were able to immediately secure spots at the bar. Sitting at the bar and watching Tony work his magic was the highlight of our weekend! He was the sole bartender serving for everyone at the restaurant and looked crazy busy. However, he had huge smiles on his face the whole time which made us so happy! He was generous with drinks, extremely fast and also incredibly attentive. He knew what we needed even before us asking for it! It was such a wonderful experience and we definitely want to come back for him.
