After hanging out near by we were niceee & needed some food, late night & these guys were the only ones open with something good to eat.We got a few slices, Love me some Vodka slice great taste , good sauce definitely a favorite for me. Next we had a Pepperoni, good slice & the signature Artichoke slice lorddd these slices are big to begin with all that creamy goodness is hard to resist not the healthiest of choices but certainly very good. Small location, quick service & prices these days well we all know prices have gone up, the slices are huge so at least paying the $5-6 in change per slice is not terrible assuming u are not eating this everyday. Better to stay & eat or take it to go, slices are big, messy & not meant as a typical grab & go pizza.

One of the best pizza spot in the city! You need to try the Vodka, the Staten Island & you can never go wrong with pepperoni

Foodie? Maybe find another spot. To be very honest, they're good, but they're not NYC good. They're a solid pizza chain anywhere else in the US but they just don't stand out in NYC.

I'm a regular here, and the artichoke pizza just keeps getting better and better. I love the huge slice that fills my hunger in an instant because i chomp it down so quickly because I am an animal in front of the artichoke slice. Also this place has chairs! Hard to find in many pizza venues.

Delicious!!! That's all I have to say about the Artichoke, Crab and Vodka sauce slices. The gentlemen behind the counter were very friendly. This location has no seating but you can stand and eat. I will definitely be visiting again very soon!

I tried the artichoke pizza and it was a creamy mess that had little flavor. The slice was large, but quite expensive . I won't be going back.

I was so excited to try this place but it failed my expectations. The artichoke slice was creamy, but personally was way too heavy and salty for my liking to the point that eating a quarter of the pizza was enough. The margarita was better of the three, it is a simple classic that can never go wrong. Slices are extremely huge, but flavors were mid.
Be the first to ReplyTheir vodka sauce is not very good.
Very similar to a regular sauce. Artichoke slice is always good though.

A pizza i would have just for the experience but definitely not on a regular basis.Too salty for me and HUGE(7/8 $ a slice)Lacks the simplicity and refinement of your typical NYC slice.

I was visiting New York for NYE celebration and was dying of hunger after midnight. Asked one of the locals where is the best place in town to get authentic NY style pizza and Artichoke Basille's pizza was highly recommended. As soon as you enter the door, there is a long line, which usually is a good sign that the food must be good. Ordered a slice of Artichoke pizza, Pepperoni and Staten Island pizzas. The pizza were delicious and sooo filling. I mean look at the size. I would definitely recommend the Artichoke pizza- It was so unique. It is their house recipe, so you have to try it out. Even tough, the line was long, the staffs are efficient and keep the line moving.

Aight, so Artichoke is a weird pizzeria as far as NY institutions go but that's a good thing. They shirk the standard slice size and sling GINORMOUS slices that kick ass. My goto is the marinara, but be prepared. It's a bunch of sauce and a sprinkling of mozzarella. It's like the inversion of a standard NY slice like Joe's. It's heavenly. My hot take though - skip the artichoke slice. It's gross white sauce on bread and it draws the tourists. However, to each their own and I know New Yorkers who love it.

These slices are MASSIVE!!! I got the crab slice and tried a bite of the margarita. These are definitely a great lunch item and the flavors are so fun and unique. I was obsessed with the creaminess of the crab slice and added the red pepper flakes added the perfect spice I needed for this slice. It wasn't the best New York slice but I'd you want to be wowed by the sheer size of a slice you definitely need this in your life. The service was fast but I felt like my slice could have been warmer. The crust definitely can stand on its own but it's not a bad idea to eat this one with a fork.

I have now been here twice and I can confirm it is some of the best pizza in Brooklyn. The slices are massive so you are more then satisfied after 1(could not eat more then 2. I have tried the margarita, meatball, and grandma--all are to die for--the margarita is my favorite, you can never go wrong with a classic. They are $6 a slice which is on the pricer side for NY but it is so worth it, you would be spending the same amount at other places where you would be buying 2-3 slices. They are also open super super late so really convenient. Only takes them about 5 minutes to serve you--went once during rush and once it was slower--both times it took around the same amount of preparation time. There are a few bar stools and some outside area to sit but I would recommend just taking it home/on the road. Will continue to go back and most definitely recommend!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing pizza!! Rich, creamy and satisfying.
Can taste they use good ingredients and it's dangerously yum

Finally had the opportunity to try out this place and their signature artichoke pizza, It was decent. I enjoy that it was a big slice, however, I found it to be too dense and thick for my taste. I honestly preferred their pepperoni pizza over their specialty. It was a great experience to try this spot, the staff was great and honest about the wait time.

While at first it seems to be an inviting radiant pizza place, the moment you go in you start to realize the owners are professional con artists.I paid $30 for my meat lovers pizza and waited over 30 minutes before asking where my pizza was. I was standing right by the register so there was no way they could miss me. After asking twice and getting told "5 minutes" the third time I asked over 20 minutes later was met with silence. At this point I wanted to leave but my friend backed me up and was cursed out. This is clearly not a man of values to speak to a beautiful woman in this manner. I eventually began using my fighting words and got my money back.Overall amazing pizza but I am probably banished from this establishment.
Be the first to ReplyMakes me sad to say this.
I had this 15 yrs ago when I first came to NYC and thought it was the best but now I can honestly say it's not good pizza :( The artichoke is my least favorite white pizza I've had - super thick layer, taste like leftover Alfredo pasta on a pizza Even tried the margarita and it sucked - no flavor Also NY pizza should bend... this thing could plank on top of the Empire State Building for hours :( sorry artichoke I wanted to like you the same as I did as a 15 year old

I finally had The Crab Slice last night, and it was worth the wait. My 1st time ever having crab on pizza. It was one of the most uniquely delicious slices of pizza I've had. The Vodka Sicilian slice was very nice too. I know people come here for the Artichoke Pizza, but it would be unwise to sleep on the the Crab Slice.
Be the first to ReplySuch a unique pizza experience.
I first saw the artichoke pizza on an Instagram ad and had to bookmark it for when I was in NYC next. This slice is 100% different than your typical Joes slice but it's definitely worth trying. The artichoke slice is huge and incredibly rich- so I usually share it with someone. But it's hot, creamy and always has a crispy crust. Always. I now go every time I'm in nyc. My routine is getting Mamoun's Falafel and then topping off the meal sharing a slice of artichoke pizza.
Be the first to ReplyStraight up garbage.
... If you plan on ordering full pies, they don't give a shit. They make all there money on slices. If you still wanna order pies from them.... Expect a 2 hour wait.....
Be the first to ReplyThis pizza spot will stand the test of time in my book.
I had my first experience in 2014 and never looked back. They have never failed to serve such delicious, hot pizza no matter the time of day. I've never been dissatisfied and will continue to support!
Be the first to ReplyArtichoke slice is good, but at $6.
50 a slice?!!! I'm not sure it's worth it. The crab slice is not that good. Is it even real crab? The squares are okay.
