The best part about this place was the staff.
They were pretty nice. However, the food and drink was not as great. I got the Portobello Road and the Lychee Dragonfruit drink. I'm sure they are healthier than alternatives but they seasoning was lacking. The drink wasn't very sweet.Considering the price, if I wanted healthy mediocre food I would rather just eat at home.

Be the first to ReplyThe best salad I believe I've ever had.
How can a salad be that amazing - I have no idea but I never yelp and here I am. I had the Harvest Salad with kale which I don't usually order but it was January and I was trying to be as healthy as I could. The kale was so soft and not bitter and just all the ingredients together were amazing. I'm a bit of a foodie so truly this place is great! Very clean and the customer service and manager (Shane I think was his name) were so nice and accommodating! Very enjoyable. I'll be back.

Gee, I can't believe this spot was featured on "Shark Tank" and landed a $400K joint investment from Mark Cuban and Barbara Corcoran. I mean, it's a nice concept but hardly novel to Californians like me used to places selling avocado toast and avocado bowls. Jamie W. and I had never been to Industry City before, so we were browsing the the variety of eateries in the food hall. This one caught our attention because the skinnier Brooklynites appeared to be gravitating in their direction. As I suspected, the menu consisted mostly of salads and bowls with sliced avocado in the spotlight position. There were also some bun sandwiches where avocados were mashed as a mayo substitute. Jamie decided to go for the $14.45 Spicy Chicken Bowl (photo: bit.ly/3U1Tg4m).It featured spinach and brown rice mixed with chicken, avocado (of course), purple cabbage, carrots, pico de gallo, and crushed tortilla chips. The spice came from habanero hot sauce and jalapeรฑo citronette. He thought it filling but rather perfunctory in flavor despite the spicy description. I ordered their seasonal flagship, the $14.45 Harvest Bowl (photo: bit.ly/3NrWPP3).It was a rather bland concoction with quinoa, kale, roasted sweet potatoes, goat cheese, chicken, avocado (of course), roasted almonds, and a balsamic vinaigrette they described as 'smoky'. It was all decent enough, and they appear to be successful enough to be building a chain of avocado eateries. I certainly don't question Cuban's business acumen though I know his favorite place to eat is IHOP. I'm just sayin'.FOOD - 3 stars...avocado bowls that just passed the gradeAMBIANCE - 3 stars...a 500 square-foot space with no room to wait for the orderSERVICE - 3 stars...rather roboticTOTAL - 3 stars...you can do a lot with an avocado RELATED - Hungry in NYC? Soooooo delicious!!! My body was craving something healthy and filling and luckily I found this place! I wish there was one back home so I could eat it all the time! Very fresh and so many options from preselected bowls to create your own. I was very disappointed they closed at 5p on a Saturday.....really?! We walked in and they closed behind us, but so did all the other places. Makes no sense, when the place was still crowded. Don't miss this place if you like health food and avocados!
Be the first to ReplyBrown avocados, bland chicken.
ย When I'm spending $15 (including tax) for a bowl of chicken/avocados, I don't think it's too much to ask to have fresh green avocados served. ย Was wondering why other places like the burger place had long lines, and this place you could just walk right up to. ย Now I know why. ย Won't return.

After a carb and butter-fueled romp around NYC, my body was calling out for something green...and I knew this LA girl couldn't go wrong with getting a salad from a place called Avocaderia. Which begs the question... so why didn't you open up in LA first?!I ordered the Spicy Chicken bowl, sub habanero sauce for the chipotle mayo. It was well proportioned, full of yummy fresh ingredients with various textures (the rice had an enjoyable crunch, especially with a bite of spinach and avo), and most importantly, tasty and nutritious. For the ~$15 I spent, I couldn't have gotten any more of my money's worth anywhere else for what I wanted. Someone mentioned SG--be honest, for a salad this size with this many ingredients, you'd have to spend at least 25% more. Now again... please open one in LA!Reading through some of the negative comments I've seen, just wanted to say that knocking points off for this establishment being part of a food hall is a bit ridiculous. If one doesn't enjoy the ambience of a food hall, one should not eat at a food hall.. just saying.

Ummm for a place that's named Avocaderia, I'd expect their avocados to be fresh. But it wasn't. I ordered this via Seamless and was excited to have some good salad and willing to pay the price thinking it'd be like sweetgreen or something. But it was so underwhelming. The salad bowl was small, the ingredients were not fresh... it just felt like a rip-off. I really wanted to like it but unfortunately, I won't be ordering here again. :(

I dream of their portobello and tahini bowls - such fresh ingredients, creative combos and most importantly, generous portions of avocado!!! Love this place and the cute shop they have in Chelsea :)

So I've been following this restaurant for sometime but haven't found the time to go all the way to industry city. Anyway, I was finally in industry city for a pop up and was going to be there all day. My sister and I ordered the portobello road bowl. First, the bag broke after my sister picked up our food. Second, the bowl was so bland, tasted weird, need some more salt or seasonings. There was this strange bland taste! It was not good at all but we were hungry and the food was expensive, we finished it. I don't think we will ever order from there again unfortunately. :-(
Be the first to ReplyInitially I ordered the imposible bowl.
I had to return it since the kale smelled stagnant. I came back and asked them to get another bowl. I got the My Thai and the watermelon radishes were really dry and the tofu that I got seemed more like the leftovers they had before they closed. I work in the food industry and I know when ingredients aren't fresh. It's sad because I paid over 20$ and the quality is really not worth it

As an avocado aficionado, I was really looking forward to this restaurant but ended up leaving a bit disappointed. My mom and I split the Bombay quinoa bowl and the mediterranean.1) Bombay quinoa bowl was quinoa, spinach, curried cauliflower, sweet potatoes, chickpeas, Brussels sprouts, avocado and coconut curry dressing. Not bad, but I would have expected better presentation from an instagram place like this. It was a bit messy as you can see from the picture. Portion size was huge and there were so many goods packed inside. a good portion of avocado as well. 2) Mediterranean toast was very underwhelming. there was so little avocado - the olive tapenade was very overpowering, and neither of us liked the taste of it. Again, the presentation wasn't great. I expected the focus to be more on the avocado, seeing as this is an avocado-focused shop. A bit overpriced, even considering the fact that everything has avocado on it. Probably won't return - there are better places to get great avocado toast.
Be the first to ReplyThe "Burrata Dream".
At first I thought that was an egg on top, but its cheese lol. The avocado and cheese was a good combination. If you are an avocado lover, this is definitely a place you have to visit
