The outdoor space is unusually lovely as is the indoor space. Prices reflect decor and expensive location. Our waiter was a true professional and patient. The starter Greek salad looked lavish. The salmon looked superb. The orange cake for dessert won raves. The grilled flat bread is addictive.

you will see every table has an order. the truffle fries are crispy and aromatic and crab cakes are very fresh. you can tell they pride themselves on the freshness of their seafood.

Not only did he provide on point recommendations vs. what dishes are popular, he also had a very happy and friendly personality. My table was extremely satisfied. The swordfish was the best tasting dish my brother in law ordered - I had the grilled bonito! Ulysses showed us the whole raw fish and told us the weight and estimated market price before he sent it to the kitchen - how cool! It was tasty (for fish lovers only - beware of BONES)! 5/5

We stumbled upon Avra while walking in midtown and are so glad we did! Food and service were outstanding, as was the ambiance. Hands down had one of the best ever preparations of Chilean sea bass - and the portions were very ample. Split the orange cake for dessert and topped it off with excellent expresso martinis. Expensive but worth it - highly recommend!

Came in for late dinner and every member of staff we interacted with, were very nice. I got the grilled salmon and it was absolutely delicious. The complimentary pita that comes for the table was very tasty too. Drinks were good also. They were very busy but we still received our food very quickly. I feel like it's a great place for everyone, whether you come on a date, with friends, or to grab drinks and/or food after work. Nothing but good things to say. Would recommend and would definitely come again!

I was surprised how great the food was, given that it's a chain with three restaurants in Manhattan. And the environment and service were absolutely delightful !For starter I had the grilled octopus. It came in a hearty portion. The octopus was perfectly cooked, tender and super flavorful. For main course we had the Branzino. Again, perfectly cooked, the meat was tender and juicy and seasoned with just right amount of ingredients. Nothing over-powering the original deliciousness of the fish, only to enhance it. For dessert, the orange cake was a joy! So moist and flavorful. Overall I'm very impressed with everything and definitely will come back or try a different location.

I like the place a lot, the food was great. However it was insolence from manager of the Avra Madison to come to the guest and say that we left not enough tips. It was rude and unprofessional and spoiled my mood for the evening. It’s my choice to leave as much tips as I want. Have 0 tolerance to the guest. No comments more.

This was our third time in Avra, the first 2 were very pleasant so we decided to go again in our first NY trip after the pandemic. We seated in the worst table even tough we made a booking in advance. The table was in the lower level close to the stairs on the kitchen door. We asked to seat on the upper level and the answer was “not possible”. The waiter was very disrespectful and intrusive. Always rushing us into fast choices. Most of the times interrupting me while I speak and always saying words in Spanish - I am a portuguese speaker. Food was below average, the shrimp was overcooked and dry, the $15 blakava was old and not crunchy at all. I asked for a glass of wine and did not receive the menu to choose, the waiter made the decision for me (and chose the cheapest Chardonnay). After he brought the check, he came to the table 2 times to check if I had already put my card. I just paid the service to avoid a scandal but it definitely did not deserve it. Terrible, terrible experience… as it was our last night in NY I let it go and did not want to create trouble but I felt deeply disrespected. Avra never again!

Avra has one of the best restaurant week deals in New York City. I came here near the end of the summer with two friends, and we each decided to participate in their $30pp restaurant week menu, which included an appetizer, an entree, and dessert for each person. Highlights of the meal were the salmon tartar, the dorado, and the orange cake. The staff was also extremely kind and accommodating, seating us early despite one member of our party being almost twenty minutes late to our reservation. On top of everything else, the interior of the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. Highly recommend!

Elegance, freshness, quality, and great service all under on roof! I've frequented this location for lunch with friends, and each time the food is very fresh. They have a display of seafood you can choose from, and various healthy sides as well. Appropriate wines and dessert, which never disappoint. I believe they are part of the Milos chain/family of restaurants, all of which provide the same fresh and flavorful standard of food in all locations. I highly recommend.

Bustling, large space, packed bar, attractive and attentive help. Excellent selection of fresh fish and seafood all displayed on a bed of ice. Interesting wine list containing a number of good Greek whites. One of our companions stated it was her favorite restaurant experience ever. Been three times, know we will be back.

Hummus and pita was really good but there wasn't enough hummus for the amount of pita they gave. Greek salad was great, I had the lobster and potatoes on the side. Delicious food, there were a lot of water people? where there were a lot of them standing around and then somehow it took forever for them to fill out drinks. Dessert was baklava which was yummy but not outstanding.

Arrived for our reservation early and was met by a very rude concierge at the restaurant who nearly asked us to leave bc they weren't ready for us yet. We were dining with two toddlers and always arrive early bc it takes time to get them situated. The concierge was extremely condescending at having to deal with the toddlers and the strollers and offered no assistance bringing the strollers up the stairs nor help with the doors getting them inside. Will honestly never return to this restaurant which is unfortunate since their food is delicious.

My family and I dined here for the first time on Christmas Eve, and it was a horrible experience! From the moment we ordered, our waiter Paul seemed bothered by our presence, even rolling his eyes at one point. At the end of the meal, he literally snatched my credit card out of my hand. I brought it to the attention of the manager, Ricos, who offered us desserts. After this experience, there was no way we were going to eat anything else from this kitchen. The food and ambiance were okay, but being treated like second-class citizens overshadowed the entire experience. I highly recommend trying Ethos (an excellent alternative) or Del Frisco’s, both of which are more friendlier options.

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
