Amazing food, great service
The 4 course was wonderful. The staff was top notch. The sommelier was very helpful. I didn’t love the dining room/vibe. All in all it was a great evening!

Oh em gee. Everything was spectacular! Crab cakes- chefs kiss. Salmon- chefs kiss. Savalin i believe it was called- amazing. Sweet potatoe dessert amazing. A wonderful introduction to the Michelin restaurant scene. I loved every course. Can't wait to visit again.

The crab fritter and duck never disappoints. Service always consistent. For special occasions try supplemental caviar service!

I had expectations of perfectly executed dishes, but had several disappointments. Firstly, why would you ask if there are any food allergies, then serve multiple plates with said allergen? Secondly, the timing was terrible. Our bread came 30 seconds before our first course, but we were waiting with nothing on the table for half an hour previous. Drinks that were meant to be accompanied with meals were never served with them, and the wait between courses was extremely long. I would be more understanding if the restaurant was full and servers were running around like madmen, but the general vibe was lax, with no sense of urgency. Speaking of the drinks, we ordered a couple of classic cocktails - a Sazerac for me, and my wife had a Brandy Alexander with dessert. Neither of which were made by anyone who had made them before - it was obviously that these were Googled recipes, and muddled through. I would have much preferred they tall me that they couldn't make them, and we would have ordered something more to the caliber of the bartender. Skipping ahead to dessert, my wife had the Muscadine, which was akin to cheesecake that had been left in the fridge uncovered for a week to dry out, then covered with a bunch of wet things to cover up the fact. The worst part was the gelatin bits - they were completely out of place for taste and texturally. The most egregious complaint comes with my meal - the lamb. As soon as it was presented, I knew it was beef. Lamb doesn't sear the same, smell the same, or taste the same. When we asked our server what cut it was, he stated lamb loin, (which I have cooked dozens of times at home), and that it was sourced from New York. Funny guy, being that I was served New York Strip. To be fair, it was cooked perfectly, and very tasty, but I ordered lamb. The one real high point was the cheese course - I had the red cow parm, and my wife had something with a french name. They were both creative, beautiful, flavorful, textural, and perfectly proportioned. If the entire meal was on that level, this review would have gone quite differently, and it would be obvious why they have Michelin Stars... unfortunately that was not our experience.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food wine and service but too cold
The food, wine and service were great, but it was so cold, it crept up on me through the meal, until dessert when I was warming my hands on my soufflé. Other dinners didn’t seem to mind but my wife and I had to hurry to leave - just so cold.

Everything was just perfect!! The food was DELICIOUS! Each piece was so flavorful. The service was great. I really can’t say enough. It’s not just dinner it’s an experience.

We had a wonderful dinner at Bacchanalia last night. The flavors and presentation were amazing. We look forward to visiting again soon.
Be the first to ReplyNot what we expected from a well-known restaurant
We had a very lackluster meal. It was small plates with about 4 choices for each part of the dinner. My brother had raved about this restaurant being so great. He knows the woman who owns it & has dined there several times in the past. He said they moved since he was last there & was disappointed in the food. We only ordered 2 bottles of wine & somehow the sommelier sneaked a third in when we were not paying attention. My brother did not take it up w/ the restaurant, just let it go. Wines were quite expensive. We think he may have spent $1,000 on the meal for 5. He said he would not be returning.
Be the first to ReplyService and wine were great, food was not good. Left before the last course.
We do a lot of fine dining and were excited to finally go to Bacchnalia in Atlanta. Rarely write a bad review. Got tasting menu - first course (steak tartare and crab fritter) were prepared well and had good pairings. My second course (lobster) was overdone and rubbery. Third course of cheeses was really just bizarre, Would have been happier with some plain interesting cheeses, but they put toppings on that messed with the texture and the taste, didn’t eat it. Decided to skip 4th course and leave. Hope it was just our seat but it smelled like sewer gas throughout dinner. Happily they only charged us for the wine since we were dissatisfied but I would much rather have had the dining experience we were looking forward to.
