A Pleasant treat
A wonderful relaxing evening. Food was imaginative and delicious and service impeccable. Of course understandably portions and prices are Michelin standard but the flavours and explanations of each course made the evening also entertaining. A good night out.

Visited for my birthday as a special treat. Staff were exceptional. We were so well looked after. The food was extremely delicious and beautiful to look at. We had the seven course dinner which took an extremely long time to get through but it was worth it

Very disappointed to be honest. Was at the restaurant at about 8:45pm. Ordered 3 course meal. The bread took ages to be severed and the first plate was served between 35/40 mins. Second plate took about 35mins to be served also. Ordered fresh local fish and no one bothered to inform us about what type of fish it was and it was served super dry and very chewy. One of us did not even take a desert because it was already very late. The restroom was not functioning and had to go down to the hotel to make use of the bathroom. Everyone at the restaurant was complaining, so the vibe wasn’t great.

What an amazing experience.
Place: Super beautiful! Spacious and quiet.
Service: Superb! All staff knew what they were doing and all were so knowledgable and helpful.
Food: OMG the food 😍 We took the future menu and it was a journey throughout. The presentation was beautiful and most importantly the tastes were outstanding. It's a great place where you go, enjoy your evening, relax and enjoy every plate that comes your way. This was an experience, you definitely achieved your goal here. BAHIA, you will definitely see us again.
Keep up the good work!
Bahia...A wonderful journey through time!
Exceptional dining experience starting from the bread and the amazing french butter, followed amazing courses. The service, flavour profile and presentation are set to the highest of standards and curated by a great team. A truly memorable experience and a lovely journey through the senses! Well done!

I went to Bahia tonight and based on the reviews the bar was high but I have say that my experience exceeded even my very high expectations. The atmosphere is stylish and not overly formal (which I prefer). The food is incredibly thoughtful, innovative and out right delicious. This is not one of those Faberge egg type of dining experiences where you get two bites and leave hungry. This is exceptional food that leaves you feeling fulfilled as you work to identify what subtle ingreedents were being combined to create each dish
Service was warm, professional and right on the mark.
Definitely NOT worth a Michelin star!
It felt a lot like pretentious blubber and presentation, minute portions not delivering their worth in size or taste. 33 euro for a 2inch piece of fried red snapper with a few plain chickpeas does not cut it for me. We also waited for well over an hour to be served the main meal. Sorry, felt like I was being taken for a ride!

This was not my first visit to bahia but we had not been there in a while. Its always nice to explore the menu and decide what to take. It was obvious from the beginning that each dish was immaculately conceived and prepared and I simply can’t state any fault in the design, presentation, execution, and most importantly flavour of ANY of the dishes. They were all utterly fabulous and the service was so amazing that it made every dish taste better. Every single dish was a beautifully done, tasted wonderful and I simply did not want this experience and afternoon to finish. In fact, I actually got a little down half way through the meal as I knew it was not going to go on forever – I could have comfortably stayed in the bahia indoor courtyard being served those sorts of creations in the company shared for another day.

We went to Bahia for a rare night out without the kids but with another two couples and we didn't regret out choice. The restaurant is set in a lovely old property with simple but warm decor, the service was impeccable and we all loved each and every dish, especially the utilisation of local products. Definately worth the Michelin star.

Our dining experience was amazing. You fully deserve your Michelin star. The concept is smart and we loved the drawer where you can choose your eating tools 😋 Food was absolutely fantastic and your maître d’hôtel very kind. Wine pairing was original and worked well.
In our word: bravo! We will be back next time we travel to Malta.
All the best!
Sorry, but the Michelin star is not deserved in our view
Based on the positive reviews and the Michelin stark we came with high expectations, which unfortunately were not met.
First of all, one of our party is vegetarian, which so far has never been an issue anywhere. At Bahia we were told that either all four of us eat the vegan menu or all of us the meat menu. No Mixing. Hä? Seriously??? After begging them for mercy they exchanged for our veggie daughter the main meat course against a strange taste „potato dish“ and for the other meat course simply the meat (lamb ham) was left out.
For the dishes of the journey through time, the rabbit and the dessert were good, all others just ok, nowhere at the level that we usually see in Michelin stared restaurants. We noticed that the raw materials were good and fresh but rather low–cost (barley, pickles, rabbit, red snapper, …), maybe except for the single sashimi scallop in 2nd course. For the wine pairing, we found it a bit odd that after vermouth and sparkling wine a bottle of craft beer was served, followed by wines for the rest of the menu. I think most people have learned at some stage in life that mixing drinks like this usually results in a headache….
