I've given this place multiple chances because there are so few brunch places in Harlem now.Again I suffer disappointment. It's tiresome when these business gouge you with added gratuities on the bill. Apparently brunch has an "automatic" added gratuity. One which isn't stated anywhere when you make the reservation and not stated by anyone or listed anywhere when you arrive. It's definitely not listed on the dinner menu, which is the one we had. To top that as my reservation was at 4pm mid meal the waitress hands us the bill and says it needs to be closed out due to brunch ending. Wow couldn't even finish eating before you're asking me to pay for a meal I haven't even finished or maybe wanted to order more after. Typical of the establishments that hide prices gouge customers and show a continued disrespect for the community it serves. And when asked to speak to someone you get dull looks and vapid apologies that just further serve to infuriate. This place need to follow all of the post pandemic locations that didn't survive. It is ultimately my fault as I've given this place many a chance with my failures found then praise, the best way to deal with bad business is stop giving them your money and warn off others before they endure the aggravation.
Be the first to ReplyPerfect ambiance for dining alone or with friends.
Service was excellent and both the food and wine were delicious.

This is always a great place to casually catch up with friends. Nice neighborhood spot with a friendly staff. I recently went back for the first time in a while and was reminded of my one issue with this place. Every time I visit, my clothes have a heavy smell of fried food for whatever reason, and I must do laundry otherwise the smell persists for days. It makes me wonder about the overall the indoor air quality. And usually I don't see much cooking going on. This has always made me think twice about visiting the place. Otherwise, I still recommend it based on other aspects, if one is not sensitive to such.

We've actually been twice: once with our 5 year old niece and small dog summer, and once for date night in the fall.Summer: we enjoyed the outdoor eating area for an early evening dinner; you have a great people-watching view onto Malcolm X Blvd. The kid's menu is tasty, and our niece enjoyed her pasta. The server was so sweet brought out a water dish for our pup, and it was easy to get him settled under our table. Service was quick and prices are on par for similar restaurants in the area.Fall: we sat inside in a very cute booth. The ambiance was off the charts and perfect for a cozy date night. We noticed many other couples enjoying the vibes, too, so it might not be the best choice to bring kids later in the evening for dinner service. We had a reservation and were seated as soon as we arrived. The food was good, but I think we chose poorly (our own mistake). Unlike our first visit, we didn't go for recommended specials or pasta, which seem to be the specialty. Instead, we went for tuna tartare and chicken breast for entrees, and a side of truffle fries. The dishes were fine and service was fast, but I wouldn't repeat-order either dish. Our first visit was positive, so we'll probably be back to try stronger dishes on the menu. My guess is that these two dishes are there for folks who *really* want them, but they aren't necessarily the stars of the menu.Definitely check this place out and then walk a block to Sugar Hill Creamery for dessert-- if you have room in your stomach!

What kind of business owner would not be super concerned about a matter such as this happening at their establishment? This is a serious crime . . . beware.
Be the first to ReplyLovely atmosphere and vibe.
Enjoyed the drinks and people watching on the patio. Also enjoyed sitting at the bar which wrapped around to the other side. Good date spot or just to hang with friends.

Delicious salads and really nice outdoor seating on the 120th street side! It's on a quiet, closed off street and has a nice and relaxing vibe. We also tried the branzino and chicken entrees - both delicious as well. Only downside is that happy hour is only at the bar.

I've been going here for the last couple of years and I just love the vibe here. I always sit at the bar and get the best service and everyone is so friendly. The charcuterie boards are everything and the frozรฉ here is great. Not too sweet, just right! The calamari isn't worth getting here and neither is the hummus in my opinion, but everything else? Amazing. I love the burger and the ravioli the best, sooo good! And they have a pretty good happy hour, it's from 4-8 usually, I wanna say M-Thurs? But maybe til Friday I'm not sure. But the customer service and the way everyone makes you feel here is so special, I'll always be back!
Be the first to ReplyCame here last night for the first time.
The hostess greeted me warmly and I sat at the bar while I waited for my friend to arrive. The ambiance here is great and they have a large selection of wines. The food was very underwhelming (got the burger and truffle fries) and by the end of the night the service began to wane. I would come back here but only for drinks and hors d'oeuvre.

Let me start by saying I'm mad I have ventured to Harlem sooner. I saw this restaurant on the show 'Run The World' on Starz so when I picked girls night out i immediately thought of this place. When we arrived around 6pm there were a few people at tables outside but we sat at the bar inside. My girls ordered red sangria and I opted for a bottle. The server/bartender Mielle (sp) was super dooper fabulous. What I thought was a bar was actually a double sided table. It held about 15 people on 1 side and 10 in the other. There is also a back area that is more of the traditional restaurant. The vibe was unmatched. We ordered dinner and moved from the bar/table to a traditional table in the front. I had the steak, one of my friends had a vegan dish and the other had the lamb. Everything was seasoned to perfection and the portions were plentiful. The the show came about 8pm and played all r&b oldies from rhe 80's and 90's. It was amazing. Not overrun by colonizers. I will surely venture to Harlem again. This place is amazing.

Be the first to ReplyLast night we had a double date at this restaurant.
Although the atmosphere was perfect, the service and food was beyond poor. 1. Asked the waitress what gins they have. She has to ask the bar, which is completely fine, but upon returning a mere :30 seconds later her response was, "Bombay, Hendricks and I forgot the third." This was not a good sign and you'll see why. BTW... the gin and tonic just tasted off. Either not the proper balance or the tonic was flat. 2. We ordered our meal, which the waitress did not write down. We asked to start with a Cheese plate. What comes out is the Charcuterie plate. We send it back. 3. Cheese plate comes out and understand cheeses need to be refrigerated, but at $24 they should have a plan for them to be closer to room temp. All cheeses were just so cold. And to put out CLUB CRACKERS is pitiful. 4. Our dinners arrive and guess what, rather than bringing one guest the raviolis she's ordered, it was the spaghetti.5. Putting aside the food was ok and didn't live up to the cost... to have on the bill that there is a 3% charge on credit cards is astounding. That was just salt in the wound.

What a cute place, I went with friends for some drinks and loved the decor very much. I had their French Velvet cocktail as well as their truffle fries to munch on, both were very good. I'll certainly visit again to have a full meal but if you're in the mood for some great wine or cocktails, they're also a good option!

This place is one of my friend's favorite places in the city and so she took me here for brunch. I had the vegetable quiche. You don't see it as much on brunch menu on the city and so I had to grab it. I was glad I did. It was quite delicious. My friend had a burger and enjoyed it as well. The dรฉcor is lovely and the whole vibe very uplifting. Service is also really good. So why did I take a star off? Coffee was tepid. We had to ask to change our coffees. Other than that, I have no complaints. It was a good experience.

Had a great meal and good drinks. ย Service was a little inattentive but nothing that was disruptive or disqualifying.

My friend and I dined at this lovely place in Harlem for dinner recently. The interior is elegant, grown up, and refined with a cozy dining area.I wanted to try both the Hanger Steak and Porc Tenderloin, so we shared them. This proved to be an excellent idea. Surprisingly, I wasn't that impressed by the steak and much preferred the pork. The Hangar Steak looked amazing, cooked in a borderlaise sauce with mushrooms. Instead of the roasted potatoes, my friend asked for mashed potatoes. The sauce was tasty with rich depth of flavor of wine, shallots, and butter. However, the steak was bland and kind of tough. The mashed potatoes were pretty good though, and very creamy, filled with different seasonings.Porc Tenderloin was made with a mushroom sauce, served with roasted potatoes and string beans. The pork was delightfully tender, juicy, and simply delicious. The sauce was quite enjoyable as well. The potatoes and green beans were slightly crispy, very fresh and cooked perfectly. There was Chocolate Lava Cake on the menu, which I normally always order but decided against it since the price tag was high at $15.Service was great. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. We were well taken care of throughout. That being said, the menu items are expensive, as most main courses are around $30+. I was also a bit disappointed by the quality of the steak, which I had high hopes for, so I am not sure I would return.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful restaurant, perfect for a date night or gathering.
Sangria and cocktails were very sweet. Wine list was expansive. Food was pretty good, I think it could have been a little nicer for the price.
Be the first to ReplyI went there with a friend for dinner on a Friday night.
We decided to share the lamb shank and the steak. Both were absolutely delicious, sides were too. We also had wine, cocktails, and digestivos after. They abided by COVID protocols and I felt comfortable dining inside. I'm taking one star off because they were out of a lot of the digestivos. I'd go again.
Be the first to ReplyThe French onion soup and sangria was both bland.
The soup was a thick layer of cheese on top which just tasted like plain melted mozzarella. The soup itself wasn't to great and very bland as well. The sangria tasted watered down. The price for these two things were $27. I won't be going back. There's a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating and they do offer HH.

I was visiting my old stomping grounds & took my friend out for her birthday to grab some snacks and she suggested this place. I was very happy with this place. We ordered some appetizers and a dessert. Very tasty. Quality ingredients. Cool ambience. I recommend if your in Harlem & want to have a seat & sip & snack on something.
