The food is absolutely amazing, the staff is lovely and the whole restaurant atmosphere brings you to Spain even you being in the heart on London. I totally recommend and will be back many times!

Excellent meal, very good modern tapas with high quality ingredients and a good drinks list. Pleasant and well informed service, reasonably priced for the quality.
Be the first to ReplyAuthentically delicious & great wine choice
Had such a lovely, relaxed and authentic experience at Barrica! Delicious all-round - enjoyed a number of the tapas - the deep fried cauliflower and the beetroot salad were faves. Enjoyed the wine - super delicious. Barrica requires a certain budget, but you’ll be assured quality. Will definitely be back.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food BUT we had food poisoning
We thought the food was really great and I was with two people. We were raving about the food since this was in the Michelin guide so it wasn’t that cheap. After we left, we woke up in the middle of the night with food poisoning and were bed ridden for two days during our holidays. We paid 80+ pounds for this dinner so it wasn’t a great experience for us. Most of our dishes were seafood so overall we were very disappointed. Since it was in the Michelin guide, I would have thought they would pay more attention to food safety and cleanliness. We should be getting a full refund! I’ve had cleaner street food.
Be the first to ReplyGood food, abysmal service.
As the title says... The kitchen lost our order (it happens), but when we asked the waiter to remove the service he added the 1 free complementary glass of wine back onto the bill saying "I took that off at my desecration, you shall now pay that instead of the service charge". The small price for a glass of wine is not the point, its the blatant contempt for anyone he's serving and the assumption that tips are mandatory no matter how poor the service. I'm sure, if he isn't the head waiter, you will be a fantastic night out because the foods pretty good. Such a shame one vindictive man took aim at our evening. Nicholas.

Be the first to ReplyA few very good dishes, and some quite forgettable
Came here for saturday night and the place was crowded. The table was nice and the waitress got our wine and water on the table efficiently. However when we asked how many dishes they would recommend us to order, it was difficult to get a straith answer. We opted for six dishes for two - which ended up to be quite right. The the croquetas with ham were very good, so was the fried cauliflower. The patatas bravas were OK. The prawns was dissappointing though as they were luke warm and not spicy at all. The «sauce» tasted only of oil. The cheese board had one really good and two utterly forgettable (tasted very little) cheeses. We ordered bread which surprisingly was the last thing they put on our table - the bread was good though.

So so good. Booked here for a Saturday afternoon and would definitely do so again. The jamon croquettes and confit duck leg in particular were amazing!
Be the first to ReplyNot a very god experience
The food was not good at all. First of all it was placed on our table without any explanation at all. So when we thougt we were having bread and aioli, it proved to be bread and Wild mushrooms? And the deep fried cauliflower had definitely been deep fried before we had them, and were not hot at all. And the mashed potatoes to the octopus was cold. No, I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody. The staff was not interested in us at all, although we bought an expensive Wine with our food. Grabe/Overgaard

A cosy little gem with incredible food and great price for the area. Friendly staff and highly recommend trying out the desert Torrija.

A friend said to me this is a must, so we all went with the family for my husband's birthday in Jan 2022, great atmosphere nice people and the food was excellent would recommend anything on the menu.
Be the first to ReplyA good find.
The restaurant was very busy (Saturday evening) and a little cramped. However the food is genuinely good and is very reasonably priced especially for central London (so many other places aren’t!). The staff are friendly and attentive. Special thanks to Vanessa who served us.

Haven’t been for years and now I’m asking myself why.
We had some fantastic food served by some very friendly staff. I would highly recommend a visit and I will definitely be back.
Very authentic Spanish tapas bar
Great little restaurant serving fantastic Spanish food, with great wines. The service is good, being friendly, helpful and quick.
We ordered lots of plates to share and had a great time - favourite was definitely the jamon. We will return
Cosy tapas bar with real Spanish tapas, good service and excellent food.
Great ambiance, small and cozy, real Spanish tapas. Loved the jamon extra bellota, toast with tomato, secreto, tortilla and ribs. The service was good and quick. Wine could be better. The good ones where really expensive. But wine was expensive in every restaurant in London.

Visited with my wife on a Saturday morning. Food was great. Not cheap but worth it. They do the Basque cheesecake too which is the best.
Be the first to ReplyExtremely good tapas and service
I have visited Barrica twice in the last 2 weeks for lunch. I highly recommend this place ! Service and food is spot on. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff along with extremely tasty Spanish tapas . I have e visited both Barrica and it’s sister restaurant Copita . For me , and my companions, these both have to be rated high up as the best Spanish tapas restaurants in London. Try it!!
Be the first to ReplyOne of the best tapas bars north of San Sebastián...
Was a regular before Covid struck, been back thrice in the last two months. I am very glad to be able to report that they have managed to keep their high standards up during the crisis. The regular tapas are great, the specials are fantastic! On my last visit, I had two duck-based specials, one fantastic duck liver pâté and an equally brilliant confit duck leg. Also happy to recommend a great “en Rama” (unfiltered) Fino. Same great service as always, one of my favourite restaurants in London, I will be back!

Great tapas, great atmosphere. Really recommend and not expensive for the quality and quantity of food. Very worth the visit! Very enthusiastic staff!

When in town for an event or catch up it’s become a tradition for my friend and I to indulge in long, lazy, tapas lunches, often with a lot of wine sipped during this time!
For quite a while, Barrafina has been hard to beat but after a lacklustre offering by them for my birthday earlier in the year we decided to look for another tapas bar to adopt. Barrica had very favourable reviews and we liked the fact it’s not part of a chain. so we decided to give them a try. We were not disappointed and you won’t be either if you try the food.
It’s a small restaurant but feels very Spanish once you are inside. Nothing special, just a genuinely homely atmosphere and staff who are very friendly and attentive.
It was, as I said, a long lunch so we just ordered a dish or two at a time. Everything was delicious. To start things rolling, we had a melted cheese dip from the specials board with bread, carrots and a fruity chutney. It went down nicely with the white Rioja. This was followed by some aubergine and goats cheese fritters, perfectly crunchy in the outside and very flavoursome. After a little break we moved into the black squid ink rice. Heavenly, a taste of the sea without being too salty (Barrafina, take note!) Bottle number 2 arrived alongside melt in the mouth rare lamb with a Smokey flavour served with a fiery green harissa that tasted incredibly fresh and herby. Chargrilled beef with tiny roasted potatoes arrived soon after, again, cooked to perfection. And finally, we just couldn’t resist trying the pork dish. For me, possibly slightly too rare but then I’m a bit unsure of undercooked pork but nonetheless it tasted delicious.
We’re not pudding people so we didn’t venture into that territory but the selection looked interesting.
Sadly the stone bass was unavailable the day we went. I would like to see a couple more seafood offerings but that’s just a personal preference rather than a negative comment about the menu selection.
On leaving we were called to the bar to share a Spanish shot with the staff. A nice touch at the end of a fabulous lunch.
We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely return!
