The service is top class
Nice restaurant with genuine Italian food. It’s mostly dishes that you don’t get served everywhere. The pasta’s are absolutely the ones to go for. Really nice service that is supportive and helpful. On the negative side it’s maybe a bit too expensive for a restaurant like this. You can probably find comparable food, but less good service, to a more affordable price.

We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. This is a modern Venetian restaurant which has been tun by the owner Simon for the last 18 years. It is situated in Wigmore street behind Selfridges and next door to Wigmore Hall. It was a welcome break from shopping. We arrived shortly after 12 without a reservation and were fortunate to get in as the restaurant soon filled up and those without a reservation were disappointed. The food was excellent and the service impeccable. There was a comprehensive wine list with a super Tuscan by the glass. This will certainly be the first of many visits in the future.

It was my first visit to 2 Veneti . And it was wonderful. I took a friend for her 70th birthday. They gave us a glass of Prosecco on arrival. The food was amazing staff were really lovely. Will certainly be going back Christine Roberts January 2024!

Excellent lunch time meal. Super busy restaurant with a real buzz. Great traditional Italian food. Fabulous deserts! And range of wine and drinks. Attentive service.

Wife and daughter had a very nice meal here, well looked after by Piero, the manager. Food rated excellent, and looking forward to going myself.

Excellent food and service... A smallish but buzzing restaurant with really attentive staff. We had a pasta dish , a burrata salad and some side dishes which were all delicious.

You walk through the door and greeted with big smiles and a warm welcome. You feel right at home and once your coat is taken, given a seat and menu. Great choice to choose from, bread is out in the table to eat while deciding what you wanted to eat. 2 had veal, one had fish and one had chicken.. all our food was first class and we ate it all. We couldn’t manage a pudding but good choice to choose from, I’m sure they were delicious. Our friends Alastair and lynne go much more than my husband and I but it’s a gem of a place to eat, with good prices within London. Shall return.
Be the first to ReplyPost theatre dinner but disappointing
We liked the restaurant and the service was very attentive and speedy. However I was disappointed with my main which was difficult to cut with the basic knives. It was not hot which I really find annoying. Can’t understand why a restaurant of this standing serves food on cold plates. Would probably not return.
Be the first to Replyvery meh!
For £150 for 2 with one glass of red each (2 courses) it was so average and not worth the money. The food was under seasoned overall and the service was vey lacking Had to ask about specials and were non the wiser after the server didn't even look at the table and mumbled something about cod and shellfish whilst tending to the request of the table behind, in mid flow. Sweet & sour floured fried sardines, marinated with white onion was poor (cold and sloppy) husband's Milanese di pollo was bland and underwhelming. I would not go back again
Be the first to ReplyA very enjoyable visit
The food was good although there was possibly a bit too much batter on my frito misto. Service was friendly and efficient and overall it was a very relaxed and enjoyable visit.
Be the first to ReplyAn amazing restaurant in the middle of London
This restaurant is one of the best Italians in London. It is a family business with many long standing excellent staff. The food and wine are absolutely brilliant and very fairly priced . The restaurant is always busy which is testament to the incredible service and it is notable how many locals eat there regularly. Well done to the Veneti team

My first visit here and as a guest so I did not know the restaurant at all. If I say that I tried to book it to take somebody there a few days later then I was clearly impressed. Great food and the service was both quick and attentive. Very impressed and will definitely re visit.

I’ve been hear before lockdown it was so lovely to be back. Our friends go more than us, but staff always make us feel like family, warm welcome once you step in the door, quick to take your coat. As our friends go lot , so we all got free glass of champagne. Yes we did. Once seated and we looked at menu our order placed. Didn’t wait long for the food to arrive .. one had oxtail, one had venison, I have breaded style chicken and hubby had liver.. sides also ordered and it was all truly delicious. Only one off the group managed a dessert, apple/ almond pie. I was told it was delicious. Then coffee to finish the evening.. I can’t wait to go back.. the staff are a credit to this little gem of a restaurant..
Be the first to ReplyGood food - rushed service
Visited here a few times - food good but won't be returning. They evidently allow maximum of one and a half hours and then, even if the restaurant is not busy, they're 'on your case' to get out. So even if you're still spending on digestives and coffees the owner and waiters are stalking around the table making one fell uncomfortable after spending best part of £200! Called the owner over and told him and he offered the service charge refund but we refused - didn't want any refund or reduction - just to be left alone to enjoy the 3 course meal in peace.

Top class restaurant experience, super tasty and wonderfully presented dishes combined with friendly and very efficient service and pleasant ambiance. Menu and wine list are all very wide and both offer a large variety of delicious food and the highest quality wines at very convenient price. I sincerely suggest everyone to try 2 veneti. Thanks to Mr Simon, Giampiero and Bruno for their marvellous service and all the kitchen staff for this beautiful experience.

Be the first to ReplyExcellent Lunch
We had a morning appointment just around the corner, and I spotted 2 Veneti on Google Earth, the menu looked good, so we booked. I'm glad we booked, the place was busy. Very friendly service, great food at a good price (for London). Started with the sweet and sour sardine served on polenta, this was very light. Calf's liver is one of my wife's favourites, and it did not disappoint, the side of roast potatoes were amazing! Finished with tiramisu, again very light. The house soave was very good and reasonably priced. Friendly and attentive staff, a very enjoyable lunch.
Be the first to ReplyVery Disappointing Food and Service
Ate here with a friend. The grilled calf liver, rather than being delicate and tender, was gristly. The mashed potato was edible, but somewhat watery and not light and fluffy. The French beans were OK. When I pointed out my disappointment to the waiter, he simply smiled and took the plate away. When the same waiter delivered the bill I repeated my comments and he said that I should have raised this earlier. When I said that I had done so to him, his reply was “What, to me?” Seeming short term memory loss! His response to this was to make some mention of a glass of wine in recompense, but no apology or concern about the quality of the food and my disappointment. Because of the rather unorthodox pricing system at this restaurant, I paid £12 for three scoops of decent, but not exceptional scoops of ice cream. The decor and staff uniforms are very good, but it would have helped if there was hot water in the cloakroom. The wash hand basin was the smallest one that I’ve seen outside of a dollshouse! As a result a lot of water ends up on the floor. The decor down there was rather tired and worn. The expression “Fur coat, no k……s” springs to mind! The meal (with a small glass of wine, a bit of bread to start with and coffee) came to £52.99. Very overpriced and poor value, taking into account the quality (or lack thereof) of the food and the waiter’s attitude. He really could not have been less interested.
Be the first to ReplyNice service, tiny portions
I went for business lunch with our supplier as our usual spot opposite the office was fully booked. The prices of set menu seem reasonable but portions are tiny. Price of prosecco was good for London. Food was very forgettable. This was made up by ambience: service was pleasant, warm and attentive. Unlike with previous reviewer we were made really welcome and they were very considerate for our needs when choosing a table. I will be happy to return but I won’t expect gournment experience.
Be the first to ReplyWe didn’t feel welcome
We didn’t feel welcome When we arrived the waiter placed us at the table and gave us the menus, he hardly spoke two words with us. After us, different people came and went and they were all being greeted like old friends. They all got some fresh bread and bread sticks, when I asked the waiter after our starter, if could get some bread as well, he kind of said he forgot. The food was ok, but the cold shoulder was just strange. We had a 3 course menu and had to pay 128 pound, which was a overpriced for what we got.
Be the first to ReplyGo to Venice for authentic Venetian food.
Perfectly acceptable restaurant billing itself as serving Venetian food. I would beg to differ. Chicken Milanese is from Milan. As a starter we both had a Rocket Salad consisting of a few slices of pear and shavings of Parmesan and a drizzle of Balsamic which was more Rocket than anything else. My wife had pan fried fillet of Sole on a bed spinach with butter lemon sauce and capers I had Fritto Misto deep fried seafood, prawns, crab, chunks of white fish ( cod ?) and calamari, tartare sauce and a slice of lemon. Included in this was a deep fried prawn head, no flesh! I had the strangest tiramisu served in a tricornered pastry basket and my wife had one scoop of orange sorbet. We ordered a bottle of still water and 500 ML of the house wine. I also had a single espresso. This little lot came to £115! Whilst the service was pleasant enough and quick and the venue pleasant no way did we eat £115 worth of food. The sign of a good meal is a sandwich and a packet of crisps on the train home which is exactly what we did. Not impressed
