Bellini (Coconut Grove) Miami Reviews from The Last 180 Days
Beautiful view outside on the balcony overlooking the park and Sailboat Bay. Very attentive service with a wide selection of specialty cocktails and wines. We particularly enjoyed the charcuterie board appetizer and veal milanese and laungustinos as entrees. Desserts were wonderful as well. Pricey and touch pretentious but grest for special occasions.
Our waiter Dario made us feel welcomed and understood we were on a budget. I had the rib eye which was good and nice portion. Wifey had the salmon. In short, you are coming here mostly for the view.
I almost never write negative reviews but this service here really is notably terrible. I ate here recently with my family and our waiter, Daniele, took nearly 40 mins just to get our drink orders, then "memorized" our food order, got most of it wrong, and was pretty much impossible to get ahold when we needed basic things like water, our check etc. Once you did manage to get his attention he was borderline hostile and treated us like we had some nerve to bother him to order a second round of drinks etc. It was almost bizarre how bad he was at being a basic waiter. The floor of our table was also flooded for some reason when we were seated and when we asked if someone could bring a towel or something to clean the slippery mess soaking into our long dresses, he just disappeared for 30 minutes and completely forgot about it entirely. Of course he didn't need to care about doing his job because either way, with 6 people at our table, 18% tip is automatically allocated in the check for him. I've been to this restaurant once before and seen people at nearby tables struggle with the unnecessarily haughty waitstaff so unfortunately I don't think Daniele is special or unique in this regard. I definitely do not recommend this restaurant. The view might be nice during the day but there are plenty of nearby restaurants with equally nice views that offer a much better experience without Bellini's unprofessional staff.
Absolutely love this spot! First off, you cannot review Bellini without talking about the vibe + aesthetic. Mr. C Hotel outdid themselves. Every detail of this hotel + restaurant was well thought out. Think, nautical meets European glam - so chic! Rooftop dining done right. We had no reservation and were only given a 30 min wait on a Friday night which is pretty great considering you're in the Grove. So, we started with cocktails at the bar. I got my usual Margarita on the Rocks, and I have to say they make a good cocktail. We were seated shortly after, not even 20 min after we arrived! We ordered the Bruschetta del Giorno to start and to our suprise it was a fusion on the traditional Bruschetta. The dish was made up of one traditional tomato and mozzarella, but they gave us a twist with a mushroom + parmesan and an avocado + burrata bruschetta. This was the perfect appetizer. I ordered the Gnocchi del Giorno for my main course, which happened to be the Four Cheese Gnocchi that day. One word: DECADENT. So creamy, so good! Still dreaming about it.Both dishes hit all of the spots and paired wonderfully with a beautiful bottle of the Siesta Malbec 2016 recommend by our wonderful waiter. I am not a big red wine fan, but I would buy this bottle again and again!Lastly for dessert, we got the tiramisu and the pistachio gelato. The pistachio gelato was outstanding. In my opinion, this restaurant hit it out of the park. Vibes and service are immaculate. I will be back soon!
I have eaten in Bellini several times and this opportunity, was one of my favorite one due to the great service that we received from Alfredo; a very gentleman waitress. The pasta with tartufo is an exquisitez! Also, the salmon and the seabass. In the case if the white fish that I have eaten before, I noticed the side was smaller than other times. Still delicious and meaty. The vanilla dessert is smooth, not too sweet, homemade and I felt a touch of lemongrass. They always ask me in the entrance of the restaurant if I made a reservation, so I suggest that you make one, specially in the night time.Kona (my dog) also enjoyed our relaxing late lunch at the place!
Average food. Ritzy crowd. The prices are on the higher end. Tonight I really enjoyed the lentil salad, but not the main fish dish. Plating was nothing to wow at. The pasta was tasty with flavorful tomato sauce. The peach sorbet was as you'd expect. Service was good. Parking with validation tonight was $16.
First I have to give a special mention to the amazing service we got! Sat at the bar and our bartender was great, knowledgeable about the menu & drinks! Love the vibe of Bellini, decor is beautiful. Loved the pasta. I'd definitely come back for more!
The food was amazing. Service was phenomenal. They had a few vegan options which was a wonderful surprise. I will absolutely recommend this place to people.
This is my second time at Bellini and only came back because I had a gift card and was disappointed yet again. Service was horrible and it was a Wednesday I can't imagine weekends. I had to flag a server every time I needed something even to get the check to pay. In terms of food I had the sea bass and it was cooked to perfection. My partner had the Rizoto and mentioned it was salty and undercooked. The atmosphere is great but like many restaurants in Miami service needs to improve.
I brought my employees here for our Christmas dinner. The entrees are $25-$50 on the menu so when I was told about the special I didn't bother to ask the price. I've gotten truffle entrees at amazing restaurants (sapore di mare and Luca) and have paid between $40-$60 for them. I actually asked for more sauce for my entree because it was basically completely plain spaghetti with very little dry shaved truffle on it. I didn't enjoy it but didn't want to make a big deal. One of the girls also ordered another special. When I got the bill my jaw nearly dropped to the floor. Had I come with a friend of family I would have made a huge deal but I didn't want to make my employees uncomfortable or make the other girl who ordered a special feel badly. My bad entree was $130!!! Completely absurd especially bc it was bad and I asked for sauce and all they brought was olive oil! The other special was also $130. This dinner for 3 people ended up being over $500! I will never return and do not recommend anyone try this place. If you want truffle, go to one of the restaurants I mentioned above. You will enjoy it much more and pay 1/3 of the price! I don't have any pics because none of the plates were worth photographing.
I'm giving them five stars because I loved the ambiance, service and view. The restaurant at the Mr. C hotel in Coconut Grove is very beautiful. I know some of the reviews on here reference the food not being up to par. I really can't comment on that as we snacked on some fries and the charcuterie board along with some drinks and enjoyed the view of the bay. I will say both the fries and charcuterie board was yummy and a perfect complement to our drinks.
We went with friends and as the night was lovely we have dinner un the terrace with a magnificent view . the Italian food is great and the service excellent
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
