I had grilled shrimp & blackened tilapia combo plate. It came with seasoned potatoes, coleslaw & French bread. I came for lunch, but will probably be too full for dinner. Service was wonderful. Everyone was attentive & smiling. Ambiance? Well... the view of the gulf is spectacular.

My 9 year old says best fish and fries he's ever had! We can't stop eating the fries and I'm not a fry person! We also ordered the po boy oyster sandwich and it was amazing! We loved the spicy hush puppies, and the bread pudding is to die for!

We enjoyed this casual dining with water view Cajun seafood restaurant. Counter order and friendly staff bring food to your table. We enjoyed the crawfish etoufette and a shrimp/oyster po boy. Prices were reasonable for the area. Weekday evening in January wasn't busy. Would definitely recommend and we plan to return.

Just to be clear, the rating does not mean to imply this is fine cuisine, but instead overall value for price. The place is a walk up counter and lots of seating, with a casual vibe, friendly and competent staff, quality food, nice portions, reasonable prices, nice views of the Gulf and clean. Authentic Cajun with lots of seafood and and comfort sides like hush puppies, fries and very fresh tasting slaw.We had a really nice lunch.

Dripping with oil from frying, the crab cake, fries, shrimp and oysters on a poboy were edible but not good. I tried the shrimp and crawfish cheese grits and wished I hadn't. Frozen crawfish used and tasted too much like crawfish. I'm guessing the seafood used is mostly frozen. Coffee horrible, related to dishwater and cold. Slaw was good. Waitress very nice. We sat outside because of our small dog at a picnic table. I really would have liked to recommend this restaurant since it has a great view of water but can't.

When we vacation, we try to skip the chain restaurants as much as possible. We really enjoyed our fried shrimp po boys, fried shrimp platter, and hand breaded chicken tenders. Family friendly, very clean, great service, generous portion sizes. Order at the counter and they serve you at the table. They do have a kids menu, high chairs, and booster seats. Our family of 6 ate for about $55 plus tip. Highly recommend!

No frills, no fuss and excellent fried shrimp and hushpuppies. Staff is incredibly friendly. It's honestly my favorite place to go to on the seawall. Warning, wine is served in beer mugs and the portions are HUGE!

The fried oysters are great! The fried shrimp are equal to anything on Galveston Island, in my humble opinion. The batter is cornmeal and it's got the crunch that we refer as "fried to perfection". The sides of coleslaw, fries, and hushpuppies are plentiful and the tartar and red sauces are good on everything! I'll be back here for sure, maybe tomorrow. It's finger-licking good. Staff is friendly and courteous and our hot food came out fast!! Just as it should be. $50 lunch puts it in the $$ category but so worth it. Twelve shrimp or oysters or six of each. Two platters one beer and one soda plus tax and tip. Great!

I love you Benno's, you do a lot right but the crab cakes ain't it. Gray, mushy and no amount of lemon, hot sauce or tartar sauce could help. :( They looked like hamburger patties. I know it was real crab because there were small shells, as there should be, this is to be expected but horrible texture and flavor. I didn't take a pic but the other picture on here is accurate. I made a meal out of the hush puppies, which I love, crispy fries, yum, & coleslaw. The other guests loved their shrimp and oyster po boy and seafood platter. I'll be back but never getting the crab cakes again.

I was in the area for work and figured I would give this place a chance and wasn't disappointed. I had the grilled plate with fish, shrimp, oysters, potatoes and garlic bread with the Cajun seasonings and a nice cold beer to wash it down and this was the best meal I had during my stay. I want to try more items on the menu in the future. Great place for families too.

As I sit on the toilet in pain, this restaurant deserves less then 1-Star. My wife and I's first time here couldn't have gone worse. It took nearly 40minutes to get through the line. It took another 40mins to get our food. We ordered two fried seafood platters. Every single thing on that plate was cold, stone cold, absolute zero cold. Fish,shrimp, fries, and crab balls seemed to be cooked in the stone ages. Flies seemed to be a part of both of our meals. And above all, the food in the back in was handled by personal with no gloves. I will NEVER!! return to this "restaurant". SHUT IT DOWN!

We always dine at Benno's when in town; however, today's experience blew my mind! We had the Fried Seafood Platter and the Fried Shrimp Po'boy. Everything came out piping hot and tasted so fresh. I particularly liked the fried shrimp and the super crispy, well seasoned French fries. The service was also excellent. They were checking on us and refilling our drinks. I even saw them checking on customers sitting outside in the patio. The restaurant was also kept clean. Overall, we very much enjoyed our lunch here. I hope they will keep it up!

Last Time the line was so long and barely moving at all. This time, the line was fairly short, and we waited A LONG TIME. The fish and shrimp were pretty good, decent fries. The small hush puppies were burnt.The "hot and spicy" crawfish.....a joke. Seriously,Not hot at all. We asked for more spice, we used it, not spicy. The potatoes and corn were not boiled with crawfish either. .....or maybe they were, the crawfish boil was so bland, it was hard to tell.Fried chicken was good, but, several pieces were over fried. Will not give this place a third chance.....

The only thing Cajun was the seafood, I got boil crawfish and the seasoning tasted like the one you put on cocktails "Bloody Mary", and I got the 1/2 lb boil shrimp and that tasted like garlic with butter and extra dry to be boil shrimp, and the grill shrimp is why it didn't get a lower grade, but I would rather get the shrimp from the Tex-Mex place next door

I wish I could have mixed the Cajun shrimp and the grilled shrimp. My potatoes were a little cold but good flavor. The French fries were good. My dad really liked the catfish. My mom got the stuffed shrimp and ended up taking off most of the stuffing because half of it didn't have shrimp in it.

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
