This place is super overrated.
The service was ok, and the food was not great. The portions are quite small for the price paid. The khinkali were decent (probably the best dish out of everything we ordered), but khachapuri was not tasty at all. It felt like the bread was a bit over cooked. On top of that - the mandatory tips of 20% (sat whaaat?!) are just offensive at this point. We normally leave good tips, but when you are FORCED to leave 20% for the mediocre experience it honestly just doesn't feel right.

Bevri Palo Alto is a must-try for anyone looking for delicious Georgian cuisine. Their khachapuri, made fresh in the wood burning oven, is an absolute star. The airy dough is perfectly golden brown and the cheese filling is incredibly gooey and flavorful. It's the kind of dish that you'll want to order again and again. Don't forget to pair it with a glass of Georgian wine for a truly authentic experience.

Last Saturday, our quest for a culinary adventure led us to Bevri, a Georgian gem tucked away in Palo Alto. Initially set on a different restaurant, we serendipitously stumbled upon Bevri due to the bustling crowds elsewhere. And oh, what a delightful detour it turned out to be! Stepping into Bevri, we were greeted with warmth and an enticing aroma that hinted at the gastronomic journey ahead. As newcomers to Georgian cuisine, we found ourselves at a loss for what to order. Thankfully, Google reviews came to the rescue, guiding us towards an unforgettable dining experience. We embarked on our journey with the Pkhali Sampler, a delightful assortment of flavors and textures that served as a perfect introduction to Georgian cuisine. The Makhalova, KhachaPuri Adjaruli, adorned with the restaurant's emblem, not only pleased the palate but also dazzled with its elegant presentation. Our taste buds danced with delight as we savored the Ajapsandali and Khachapuri Shampurze, each dish embodying the essence of Georgian culinary tradition. Every bite was a symphony of flavors, a harmonious blend of spices and ingredients that left us craving for more. And then came the dessert. The winter Pear, a sweet finale to our meal, was nothing short of perfection. Its luscious sweetness and delicate texture elevated our dining experience to new heights, leaving us utterly enchanted. Despite the bustling ambiance, luck was on our side as we secured a table within a mere 15 minutes. The restaurant's popularity is a testament to its excellence, and Bevri certainly lives up to the hype. In conclusion, Bevri is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a taste of authentic Georgian cuisine in Palo Alto. From impeccable service to unforgettable flavors, every aspect of our dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Don't miss out on the opportunity to indulge in the culinary delights that Bevri has to offer.

Came on a Saturday night and was able to be seated right away. The service was good and the ambiance is nice but the mandatory 20% gratuity for any size party was a little steep. We ordered the pkhali sampler, khachapuri adjaruli, and chicken kebab with the Orgo wine. The wine was amazing, so rich and full without being bitter. It paired with the food so well. The food was good but the portions were small for the price. The star of the show for me was the khachapuri - I've had it before at markets but this was so good. Surprisingly big and the hot eggy cheese with the bread was fantastic.

Overrated! 20% mandatory gratuity for any group size for average food and ambience. Pkhali sampler was the only item that we liked. The so called famous Khachapuri Adjaruli was disappointing to say the least, not for me. We were excited for lamb dumplings Khinkhali but they weren't really juicy and lacked flavour. Only highlight is that the place has Georgian cuisine otherwise the expensive for the quality and service.

I love Georgian food and this restaurant is a must try, especially it you are looking for khachapuri and khinkali. This food has a lot of cheese, meat and really delicious dough! It is quite pricey plus 20% gratuity is already included to the bill but at the same time it is very authentic and fresh. Location is great - it's in the middle of downtown Palo Alto among other great restaurants. Street parking is limited but there is a parking garage next by.
Be the first to ReplyVery expensive for the portions.
We had visited the Los Altos location and had a great experience. This time we ordered the following: Georgian sparkling water - Very heavy, lots of salt and minerals. Couldn't even drink it, I wouldn't recommend it, you're better off with tap water. If you'd like to try something typical, I'd say opt for one of their Georgian sodas instead. Soup Kharcho: My friend enjoyed it quite a lot, they said it was delicious. Khachapuri adjaruli - I'd say it's a must. This is what I think of when you say "Georgian food". Quite filling, I suggest you get one to share if you're planning on eating anything else. Chicken Mtsvadi - Incredible!!! Loved everything about this dish, however portion again was very small. We shared (or tried to share) this dish, but I suspect that it wouldn't have been enough for just one person. Chocolate Lava cake - Tasty but very very tiny, definitely not worth it. For $18 it is an extremely small portion and there's nothing special to it, it is at best a personal serving.

I had the flattened cornish chicken (not game hen) and it was a little difficult to eat. I wasn't sure if I should use a knife and fork or go caveman and use my hands. There wasn't much meat and rather boney. The circular pieces of bread were good like mini pizza dough. We got an appetizer salad and instead of romaine or iceberg lettuce they used rosemary leaves which was a little different. Wine was good. Apparently, there is a wine region in Georgia.
Be the first to ReplyDecent food but overpriced.
The khachapuri was delicious and lived up to my expectations! Unfortunately, that was the only dish we liked. We got the beef khinkali (similar to dumplings) and the soupy filling was good, but the outside wrapper was doughy and soggy.Pork kebab was also just ok, it was a tiny plate and the meat wasn't very tender. Potatoes were good though. We wanted to order the poached pear dessert but didn't see our waiter for a solid 20 minutes. Oh well, saved us $18 anyway...
Be the first to ReplyWe were excited to try Georgian food for the first time.
Pros:It was a nice, clean restaurant with delicious appetizers and wine. We love that you can scan to order and pay online.Cons:Service was not great, server was not knowledgeable about entree recommendations.Food is on the pricier side.We ordered:- Khinkali (beef and pork) was juicy and delicious.- Khachapuri adjaruli was a favorite, warm and soft bread with lots of cheese and perfect egg yolk. We wish there was more of it!- Chicken mtsvadi was okay, not as good as the appetizers.- Winter pear dessert was good, loved the chocolate and vanilla cream but not a fan of the wine poached pear.- Artevani red wine and Tvishi semi-sweet white Marani wine were surprisingly good and not too sweet.Would return just for the appetizers and wine!

This was a solid spot that I finally got to try thanks to a coupon I got from Nift that gave me $20 off. Luckily either the owner or manager was there because she seemed to be the only one who knew how to apply this coupon. The food is pricey here as dishes are like $30+. We got the beef/pork khinkali which are these Georgian dumplings that look like oversized Chinese pork soup dumplings (aka Xiao long bao). The flavor was solid with fresh herbs in there that may have included parsley. There was some juice that came out of the dumplings as we bit into them so that was fun. The other dish we ordered to keep a reasonable budget was the Khachapuri Adjurali, which they are most famous for. The bread is served with cheese, a cube of butter, and raw egg yolk. This was my favorite dish as the slightly sweet bread was so fragrant and tasted so good with the melted cheese. The butter and raw yolk added a nice touch although it wasn't entirely necessary. They do have a regular khachapuri that only has cheese so that is another one that you can get. Overall I'm glad I got to try them at least once and for those curious about Georgian food and wine, this is a nice spot for a more upscale dinner in Palo Alto.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious Georgian food.
Love the katchapuri and the walnut rolls appetizer. Would like additional vegetarian options but what they do have is excellent. Seating is a little cramped. Make a reservation ahead of time for busy hours.

Well, we were finally able to seat down and dine at this place last night and rather than do a long review I'll do a star system. FOOD SERVICE WINE 1 & 1/2 COST $$$ Not worth it... Simply putting it, it was a very disappointing experience!

Be the first to ReplyMe and my husband recently dined at a Bevri - Georgian
Me and my husband recently dined at a Bevri - Georgian cuisine restaurant for our wedding anniversary and were blown away by the authentic flavors and aromas of the dishes. The restaurant had a warm and inviting ambiance, perfect for a cozy night out.The service was exceptional, with the waitstaff being knowledgeable about the menu and offering helpful suggestions. The Adjaruli Khachapuri was a standout dish, with the fresh, warm bread complementing the cheese beautifully. The Lamb khinkali were another highlight, with the juicy filling and tender dough. We were also impressed by the selection of Georgian wines, with a perfect pairing for each dish. We had Marani Sparkling Brut and Dilao Sapevari red wine. Overall, we would give this restaurant a solid 5-star rating for its delicious food, fantastic service, and overall experience. If you're a fan of Georgian cuisine or just looking to try something new, this restaurant is a must-visit.
Be the first to ReplyService was super friendly, but everything was OVERPRICED
Service was super friendly, but everything was OVERPRICED and portions were tiny. Food wasn't flavourful, wines were pretty good but cost $20 per GLASS. $140 for 2 people's **light** lunch 5 for service4 for ambiance2 for food 0 for sour overpriced dessert 5 for wine Interesting experience, but I wouldn't go back unless everything was atleast half of the price ( or everything was so flavourful that we were mind-blown).
Be the first to ReplyCute restaurant in Palo Alto We tried 2 vegetarian dishes.
Phkali platter - 5/5. Great flavors, amazing bread, good eggplant rolls. Wish they gave more bread to go ith it.Khachapuri Imeruli - 3/5 I wasn't expecting it to be so big and heavy! I found this too bland to enjoy by itself. Marani white wine - Loved it! Mildly sweet and very refreshing!
