This is one of the most unique dining experience! In the beginning I was anxious because I had no sight and the noise in the restaurant seemed really loud to me. Once I adjusted I enjoyed the meals and guessing what they were. My server was fabulous too! I loved how she described how to eat the items. The price isn't bad for a 7 course meal either.

This was something my fiancé wanted to try that I wasn't very excited for I admit. After the experience I was extremely glad we did it. It was very fun, the waiter was amazing and wish we weren't on a time crunch. For people asking about time frame: we called right when they opened and asked if it was possible to be in and out within an hour. They said we can do that and they performed perfectly moving us through the courses and giving time frame updates.Highly recommend

When you're dropping almost $100 per person for a vegan
When you're dropping almost $100 per person for a vegan meal, most of that is for the experience. While the idea of eating in the dark drew me here, the actual experience was severely lacking, and this was the worst spot for a date I've experienced:- Loud dining room, to the point where it's difficult to hear my boyfriend or the server.- Front desk staff bad-mouthing customers' appearances, myself included behind my back during check-in before the meal. Um, we'll be eating in the dark.- Server forgetting who is who, even with night-vision goggles, by mistaking me for my boyfriend and calling me 'sir'. (And in someone else's review, their server mistook the mother for the birthday boy.)- Imitations of expensive meat/seafood do not justify the $100 price tag per person. I am personally vegan and am no stranger to vegan restaurants, yet this was excessive.- After all of this, the same front desk staff who was bad-mouthing customers' appearances had the audacity to mark the suggested tip on the receipt for our $200 meal. It's difficult to enjoy the experience with a toxic service from check-in to the last course. As other reviews have mentioned, this is a tourist trap.

Ya gotta try everything once right! When they say blackout
Ya gotta try everything once right! When they say blackout they mean it! The only things no you can see is the tiny lights on the servers nightvision goggles so they looked like shooting stars. Our server was so nice and described everything perfectly. The food! It was a 7 course meal and everything was absolutely delicious. I had a friend ruin it for me before I went so I won't be a spoiler for you. Obviously couldn't take pictures in the dark. They tell you the menu after you eat. I am quite sure I would not have eaten some of the stuff if I had seen it first and would have definitely had preconceived ideas, However everything was great.
🤮
Packed like sardines & disgusting / mediocre food.
There is no control for obnoxiously loud, drunk people. Can't move without touching anyone around you - The greed spews in this establishment.... Spend your money elsewhere.

This is probably the best dinner "experience" that I've ever had. I was already intrigued by the idea of eating in the dark. I was even more excited when I found out that the menu was completely plant-based. What a great way to ensure that everyone can enjoy this experience. And honestly a lot of the food you couldn't even tell that it was plant-based. When I say you're eating in darkness, Is literally pitch black. Luckily though, all of your other senses are heightened and you feel more engaged with life and you are able to be more present. It may seem scary at first but it is very tranquil once you get used to it. The food was some of the best that I've ever had. The service was amazing, they made us feel so welcomed and comfortable with the experience.

Do you dare to dine in the dark
What an experience!
Instead of seeing your food you have to dine in the dark and taste it. This makes your senses taste food in a different way. A must try!

great for a bucket list activity: do it there once in a lifetime. i give it 2-3 stars.you check-in at the desk, they give you a key then you store stuff in the locker, go to the reception area until called by server. wearing night vision goggles, he'll take you to your table. our server was pleasant and very clear in giving instructions. it is noisy and packed, you could touch the person seated next to you and if you could see how close they are, you'd go someplace else... but remember that you're there for the experience. no pictures of the menus are allowed (even if the food tastes horrible and some of the texture is squishy, like uncooked crabcakes with mayo). out of 7 courses of small bites, i finished only one (it was small taco stuffed with veggies). no dish should even be considered a meal so don't go there hungry and expect to be nicely full because you just might feel ripped off when time's up and stab someone with a fork while dining in the dark.

We went here on our last night in Vegas for a fun supper! The wait time was reasonable and the check-in desk was very helpful! Our server was oh so friendly and always had a joke to crack! Our server was George! The food was very good! I didn't like 2 of the dishes, but I am a little picky. It is definitely worth the fun of it and getting to experience dining in the dark! The price can run a little spendy, but I still recommend!

Outstanding Experience!
Absolutely brilliant experience for a date or group meal. Dining in the dark really brings out other aspects and dynamics - increased taste and smell, but also fab conversation. The staff are extremely friendly, and the food was excellent. Slightly more than we'd usually pay, but the quality and quantity of food justified the price tag. A brilliant experience - thank you so much!
My husband is a former chef and we went for his birthday. Eating in pitch black darkness is hard to explain. Trusting the process (with deep breaths) got me through it after about 5 minutes of being there. We each ordered a cocktail which was made very well and soon our first entree was delivered. The food was very very good. My only complaint was 2 of the dishes had very similar textures. All the food was great but making each one vastly unique would have been a 5 star review for me. I’m so glad we went and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special experience!
We had such a great time dining here. Our server, Anna, was fun and friendly and we loved her humor. The food was surprisingly excellent! Not everyone loved every dish but there is much variety and we at least liked most of it. Such a great experience to do as a family!
This was a fun experience. I had fears that it would be terribly difficult to eat in the dark with my food sliding all over as I tried to eat, but it turned out to be fine. I think this was helped by the plate having a rim. The server also gives a little description of the food item such as it's shaped like a taco. I would say the food is more like a 4 than 5, but it's 5 for the overall experience. It is totally dark and you might see just a tiny light coming from each server's night vision goggles occasionally. Those lights in no way provide any illumination. After the meal, we were escorted back into the lobby where we were able to see the secret menu, which confirmed some of our guesses as to the ingredients of the dishes.
This was a date night for my birthday and it was a very unique experience. The food was ok drinks amazing and overall a good time.
This 7 course mystery meal experience was definitely unforgettable. Our server was great and made it fun and the food was also amazing. I would recommend this if your looking for something different
Upon entering the dining room its pitch dark, you can't see your hand in front of your face. Our server was great and made this 7 course mystery meal fun and the food was amazing I might add. I would definitely recommend this if you're looking to try something different
We were a little nervous coming into it. The experience was exceptional and the staff was friendly and really enhanced the experience.
🤢
Experience- fun and with the right date/group, really funny.
Ambience-Obviously pitch black, but feels really small. You eat your entire dinner while listening to almost every table share their thoughts about each course and some waiters tried too hard to be funny and so they come off annoying. The entire meal you also just hear plates being moved in and out of the kitchen which was distracting.Food- The food was not worth it. I can't disclose what we ate but I'll say that I felt what I would imagine a sheep hoarder eating on a winter night would eat. Nothing was unique. No complexity of flavors. I didn't eat 3.5/7 of the courses and the main entree was just not good at all. We left hungry!Value- overpriced. $230 plus tip. I'm sorry but you can get a great meal at so many places close by. Even though I can't share what we were served, I will say, if you know good food...it is a scam for what they charge. You're better off having a friend get some cheap ingredients, have them blind fold you and have them play chopped in your kitchen.2 stars only for the experience. Wouldn't recommend for the price.
🙂
This is a must try experience with a group of people.
Very intense. Our waiter was great! I'm a vegan and think that the plant based menu was just okay. They gave like a 7 course meal and do a great job of recreating a high end meal as a vegan meal but I'm sure a comfort food type of meal would satisfy people a little more. Go for the experience. The food will be good if you have a more eclectic taste.

We wanted to have an unique experience while in Vegas and we came across BLACKOUT Dining in the dark. Ok, no matter how dark of a room that you think you have been in, times in by 100. You can't see anything! I am not a person that gets anxiety from situations, but this really rattled me. I felt very claustrophobic. Our server was great and really tried to help us through it all. There are 7 courses to the meal and we were able to get through course #5. My biggest disappointment was that since my anxiety was overwhelming and I needed to leave, I asked if we could take course 6 and 7 to go. They told me no. Basically, you eat it here or not at all. Kicker was, I was still responsible for $89.99 per plate regardless if we finished it or not and I couldn't take it with me. If we couldn't make it through it - either discount us for the main course and dessert or allow us to take it home. You are worried about your secret getting out, then you need to switch up your menu. Also, we were never told what we ate. Being able to have your sight is a blessing and we all need to cherish it.
🤮
disgusting don't go here.
you wanna eat in the dark, go home and turn off the lights. food was disgusting. you like olives? go here not worth the money . its 90$ a person. that's basically a new purse. not worth it

Blackout Dining in the Dark was a unique experience that
Blackout Dining in the Dark was a unique experience that I'd recommend others try at least once. CHECK-IN + THE START //The lobby and check-in area got quite crowded when we first arrived - there was a mix of people coming out and standing in line to pay and look at the menu, and others coming in and trying to check in / sign the waiver / stand and sit around waiting for their turn to go in. People were crammed all around the tiny room and in front of each other, which was not very comfortable. Thankfully the rest of the experience was better.SERVICE + DINING EXPERIENCE //The service inside was great. Our server was super helpful and quite funny! Once our turn finally came up to go in, our server called out our names and first gave us a brief intro of what to expect before we walked into the blackout room. The five of us formed a mini conga line so he could lead us to our table and get seated. He helped us figure out where our plates and utensils were and guided us through how to best eat each course (ex. when to use the soup spoon vs. our fingers). It was fun to guess what each dish was as we ate. I found myself straining to look at my dining companions, or at least in their general direction, but I really couldn't see anyone! Good job to the staff for making a near-perfect blackout room. (The blackout goggles had a tiny bit of light on them.)In the middle of the meal, someone at another table took out their phone to answer it, lighting up the room briefly... they got booed immediately by everyone else. (Please hide your phones, watches, anything that lights up! Don't ruin the experience for others.)FOOD //The food was not bad overall. As others have mentioned, the meal is vegetarian. I personally don't mind most plant-based alternative proteins and enjoyed the dishes, but B did not like certain of the proteins. I was very full by the end of the meal and felt satisfied. After we conga-lined our way out after the meal, we got to look at the menu descriptions for what we just ate. Go into the experience with an open mind, be ready for plenty of jokes from your server, and have fun!
😍
Ate dinner at this restaurant last night.
A bit pricey but definitely a fabulous experience! We did order a bottle of wine and tipper our waiter well, so that added to the price. They didn't tell us the food until after the meal finished and I found out that my favorite course was a food I swore I hated and would never eat! The menu changes every 6 months or so. I would definitely go again with friends. It was fun knowing you could eat and no one could see you take that too big bite, or hover over your food! Very fun!!
😍
Omg! Me and my honey looooved this experience.
Don't worry you won't eat anything crazy (that was my main concern) we enjoyed the experience I'd do it again
🙂
It is exactly as described complete darkness.
I enjoyed the whole experience guessing what I was eating. I think for foodies who guess correctly some sort of prize or gift should be given. I also would say for $90 a plate the first drink should be complimentary. Very expensive not to have at least one drink on the house.
😍
What an amazing experience! Loved eating in the dark.
The food was delicious and I had a delicious margarita... What a great date night!
Had seen video’s on YouTube and wanted a non traditional experience while visiting Las Vegas. I booked our reservation a few days in advance, which I highly suggest. Our reservation was at 4:30 pm on a Thursday evening. All indications say they don’t open until 5 pm but that was not the case. You walk in and are greeted, sign a few legal waivers, and are given a lock for a locker located near the restrooms. I suggest you use the restroom at this time. Just before entering they show you an alcohol menu and at this time you meet your server. Our server was fantastic. Added the right about of verbal humor to go along with the experience. The first 30 seconds that they lead you into the darkened dining room might get you at first. They safely lead you to your table/seat and drinks follow soon after. Once you are seated the real fun begins. You can’t see a thing, but the music playing relaxes you as you wait for your seven course meal to arrive. Everything served is plant based and at the very beginning they ask about potential food allergies. The whole experience lasts 60-90 minutes depending on your number of guests involved. For two of us to dine it was right at $200 before gratuity. It’s not cheap but it was well worth the laughs we shared. I can highly suggest trying it if you are looking for a unique experience in Las Vegas.

My husband and I were giggling the entire time. Roscoe our waiter was phenomenal and super helpful. The plant based food was delicious and filling, and I'm a meat eater. Drinks were awesome. Overall, and great experience if you are looking for something different to do while in Vegas!

So much fun!!! You definitely go here for the experience
So much fun!!! You definitely go here for the experience not to leave with a full belly. You get lots of food but literally (well for myself) ended up just tasting the stuff to see if I could figure out what it was. Everyone is so nice and I've told everyone about this place and told them if they ever end up in Vegas this is a must do! I won't tell details but GO GO GO!

Tonight's dinner was definitely interesting to say the
Tonight's dinner was definitely interesting to say the least. We totally had no idea what to expect. Our server walked us thru complete pitch darkness to our table and seated us. We sat there commenting to each other about how our thoughts led us to think " Damn, what did we getOurselves into" we had a whole 90 minutes of dinner in complete darkness ahead of us. If I'm being honest there was a moment of panic, how on earth am I going to last 90 minutes in complete darkness. Luckily the first course of 7 came pretty quickly. The rest followed quickly one after the other along with a wonderful wine pairing for each. Did I mention that this was a completely vegan restaurant? Another surprise to us, we thought, it's ok we can go eat something else afterwards. Well, there was no need. Surprisingly the food was amazing. Each course was more interesting than the last. Each and every bit of this meal was delicious. After the initial moment of panic, this dinner turned out to honestly be the most interesting dinner I have ever had. I cannot wait to return someday with all my kiddos. It was awesome, I know I have dragged on, but to anyone visiting Las Vegas anytime soon, Blackout Dining in the dark is a must try. It is definitely worth every penny spent.

Really fun experience! The food was surprisingly interesting with some great complex flavors! ..we eat primarily vegetarian so we had no problem with the menu. A couple of the items were really delish, a couple were meh and some average. We got lucky with a very cool server - Josh! He was just really cool and very nice.. a lot of fun! Two suggestions for the owner,, a small hot hand towel before and after dining would really bump up the experience. I don't mind eating with my hands when needed, so long as I know they're clean first. That would be a great addition! Also, hubby got me a rose, which was presented at the table,, so of course, first thing I did was sniff it, couldn't see it, but it had no scent. Since the rose is received in the dark, it should definitely be a rose that smells nice! lol And yes, if you find these tips useful we'd graciously accept a comp dinner on our next visit :D All in all a really cool experience, thanks!
