The absolute rudest staff I have ever encountered works here. My friend and I were seated at the bar awaiting our table when a customer, who was very rude himself seemed to be upset that we did not want to engage in conversation. We did not want to talk to him and politely asked him to stop talking with us. He then stood up from his chair and proceeded to physically shove me at the bar!!! I am only 5'2" so it was quite a jolt, and I asked the bar tender to please say something to him or remove this hostile man and they did nothing to help me. Next, being quite upset and shaken by the assault, I asked the manager to assist in removing this overly aggressive person from the restaurant, and once again no help was provided. I would suggest finding another place to have a drink and dinner where you are safe, women are respected, and the staff doesn't allow patrons to be assaulted. It was quite a scary experience, and I will never return. I suggest anyone reading this review also finds any other restaurant besides this one where you will be safe! Shame on the entire staff and the rude overly aggressive drunk man at the bar! I considered reporting the incident but was so shaken I just left knowing I would never return to this restaurant.

Great location and ambiance on the river w awesome views! Inside is very modern and fresh. Huge menu of drinks and specialty cocktails. Food menu super diverse, form wagu beef to seafood and sturgeon fish. Service is sooo nice and accommodating. We had a great time celebrating mom's bday!
This place got busy on a Thursday after work.
UBS is right next door so I'm sure this is the place for people to grab drinks after work. We decided to sit at the bar but there are plenty of table options. People were waiting for a table at 8pm when we left. They do have social hour at the bar until 6pm. I wish I had known that because I would have ordered more before 6. I tried the Tori tacos - blufin taco - delicious. On the regular menu I got the weehawken roll - scallops and hamachi. Loved it. Was so fresh. I got to try the fried cauliflower too - loved that so much. Especially with that dip - it had a nice kick to it.

Shame, it was good quality and properly cooked and ruined by too much salt, and waiting to serve till it got too cold. The place looks wonderful and the evening vibe is very alive. The servers are hard working, but as i mentioned, missed on presenting the food. I complained, and they did move the steak to a heated plate, too late, but i appreciated the effort. Enjoyed the drink, called a Dual, which is their version of an Old Fashion. Overall i will go back but not for $600 of poorly prepared wagyu, The rest, fish and pasta was quite good.

I don't usually love restaurants on this side of the Hudson, but that was hands down the best porter house steak and mashed potatoes I've ever had . Better than Del Friscos and Dino & Harry's . The service and ambience were fantastic as well. Oh I forgot to mention they have amazing cocktails that rival some of the best cocktail lounges in NY. So happy to have such an amazing edition to Weehawkin .
Here's the deal: it a beautiful place.
High end appearance Very large bar area! Large sections for dinning which is nice for conversation. Good spot for business dinner or dates! As for the food. Apps. Rice cakes amazing!! Oysters very fresh! Entrees. Sushi roles very good. The bone in strip steak was "ok" truffle butter is a nice presentation BUT not any change in flavor. MUST GET whipped mashed potatoes! Lot of interesting people to watch! Valet parking in front Would go back

The half naked east coast oysters with tomato granita are a good start and the prime delmonico packs a lot of flavor. None of the sides disappoint with the creamed spinach and crispy cauliflower being the standouts.

Blu continues to impress and I think only has gotten better since they opened. Amazing seafood options amd the gnocchi might be the best ive ever had. Their cocktails are fun. The steak is both cooked and seasoned perfectly. Will definitely be back soon to try more of the menu!

Blu on the Hudson has easily become one of my favorite restaurants. Blu is decorated beautifully. There are many rooms to dine in when visiting, which add to the experience. Each room is sophisticated with great attention to detail in all decor. There is outdoor seating available and a large bar area. The service at Blu is exceptional and the wait staff pay close attention to make sure you enjoy your meal and time at Blu. The cocktail menu is seasonal and quite unique. There are many different options with incredible garnishes. The presentation of the drinks definitely steal the show! The food has great flavor! Every time I visit, I make sure to get the gnocchi dish. If you love pasta, definitely order this. The gnocchi melt in your mouth and the vodka sauce is on another level. I always have an excellent dining experience when I visit Blu. The food consistently delivers and I walk away planning my next time to visit! If you haven't visited Blu I highly recommend that it's the next place you dine.

Ambiance- very chic, welcomed by friendly hosts and electric, rock fireplace, high ceilings, indoor and outdoor seating and a huge, trendy bar towards the back Food- we were pleasantly Service- Brandon was our server and he aimed to please. Table service was on top of refilling Water, cleaning up dirty plates and replacing silverware. My first cocktail was too sweet and he didn't give up- he found me another that I would not have tried and I liked it. We were surprised on how good the food was. App- Tuna crisp, wow, salty, sweet crunchy Dinner- gnocchi with spicy vodka sauce (yes it was spicy- but so good) and the Bronzino that was crispy on the outside and full of flavor. The portions are not big so if you are very hungry I recommend getting one app each and a main. We were not super hungry so we were happy with what we had. Wish I had room for dessert- the dessert menu had some very good choices.

First, when we got to the bar, the bartender barely said hello we waited 10 minutes for a drink. He served it. We paid immediately and we went to our table. We go to the hostess and she said we cannot be seated because our entire party isn’t there. One minute later the person we were waiting for comes, and then she says oh your table is not ready. So we go to the bar And then we are called that our table is for 5 is ready. And we sit down. The waiter comes and goes over the entire menu. My girlfriend’s order an Apperal spritz. it comes in a glass that is so small one sip and you’re done. The lobster with the pasta was highly recommend. 3 of my girlfriend’s order it. It was dry. The sauce came out of a jar. Nothing to write home about. I had the veal Parmesan and that was pretty good. My Apperal, spritz lover friend had the octopus, and she said it was hard as a rock. The Caesar salad for appetizer had more eggs than salad, and the fried calamari was so dried and hard that’s probably because the oil was old, The waiter never came back to ask if we wanted another bottle of wine or drinks but he was proud to say they had a Sommelier on staff who by the way, never came to our table to ask us about anything. It was my sister‘s birthday And we continued to wait for the waiter. I asked another staff member to help me order a cake. She said she can’t. It’s not her station. So the moral of the story is once you get your entrée you become the forgotten guests. I expressed my disappointment to the waiter about waiting for so long for the cake order. He said sorry, but still charges us for the cake. This is a factory that wants to get you in and spit you out and turn you over! . Would not recommend would NOT go back. And at the end when we go to pay for our car the $10, rats are roaming the streets literally!!! Jersey, has far better restaurants than this blu of a place!
Shame about the Vaping!
This place is right by our apartment. We go often. Last night we just went for a drink ( digestivo) I was really alarmed to see so many people inside the restaurant ( at the bar) Openly vaping!! Is this allowed??? I don’t like it and think the restaurant should deal with it.

We bypassed the valet by taking an Uber, but if we had driven, that service would have at least prevented us from having worry about finding parking. The restaurant was stunning! When you first entered the space, there was a large lounge area with a fireplace. Just beyond that, there were a variety of dining rooms with different vibes, as well as a large square-shaped bar that was completely full. Thankfully, we had a reservation, because the place was packed, and it assured our seating at one of the quieter tables away from the bar area. We first checked out the cocktail list, which had a tropical, mythical vibe, with each drink's description sounding like an inspirational poem. My selection, the Dragon Bluud, arrived in a smoking pitcher that looked like a dragon. The drink was bright blue and poured into a small sake cup. The zesty beverage consisted of cardamom-infused Kettle One Vodka, spiced pineapple syrup, lime, and ginger beer. It was very enjoyable. A sip of my boyfriend's Mixed Emotions provided a multi-layered punch of smoky tequila, sweetness from bloody orange and prickly pear, and peppery notes from basil. The vast food menu offered something for everyone, being not exclusively sushi-focused or meat-centric. I started with the Truffle Rainbow Naruto Roll as my appetizer. It consisted of a thinly sliced cucumber replacing seaweed and rice as the outer layer of the roll, which was filled with raw bluefin tuna, hamachi, salmon, and shiso leaf. The sliced discs were laying in a thin amount of truffle-lime sauce and were topped with regular and black sesame seeds for an added crunch. Unfortunately, I was not blown away by this dish. The fish was fresh, but there was not enough of it in the roll to really be impactful. The sauce was like a watery soy sauce with only the slightest hint of truffle. Overall, I found this to be rather bland and mild. My entree, on the other hand, was much better. The Branzino was served alongside a baby eggplant caponata salad with sprigs of fresh basil. The Mediterranean-style accoutrement was excellent, and I enjoyed the fish as well, though I thought it could have used some salt. I sampled a bite of my boyfriend's Whipped Potatoes and was in awe of how smooth and creamy they were. Lastly, for dessert, we ordered the Flourless Chocolate S'mores, which was so incredibly rich and sinfully delicious! Its gluten-free graham cracker base was topped with a dome of chocolate mousse and marshmallow, which was then further coated with a chocolate ganache. And as if that was not decadent enough, the entire plate was covered in burnt marshmallow, and there was also a scoop of salted fudge cream. It was heavenly! The trendy atmosphere, beautiful people, sexy cocktails, and flavorful food lived up to all of the hype that I had heard about the place. It was perfect for a classy, celebratory dinner, but would also be great for a night out at the bar. Just keep in mind that reservations are key!

I've been here before in August 2023& September 2023 both times I wore jeans a crop top and heels. I was turned away at 9pm on Friday night March 8th 2024 for wearing jeans (no rips) in a nice top, suede jacket & red bottoms and same with the person I went with. The man acted like we were dressed like slobs. I read the dress code while waiting an obscene amount of time to get the car back ( which takes forever and we had to pay even tho we got turned away from the restaurant) which said nothing about jeans. I have Never have been denied entry before in my life when I wore a crop top and jeans in August & September. We were turned away but a couple walking out both in wide leg ripped jeans and Nike sneakers were allowed entry. Absolutely ridiculous, the man was extremely rude but clearly let other ppl in with jeans on. Drinks and food are very expensive and food portions are small. Despite now hating this place the drinks are very good and cool. Will not be back. Disappointed.

Swanky! This is the place to see and be seen! As soon as you drive up, valet staff eagerly greet you. Walking up into the restaurant, a doorman ushers you in with a welcome smile. You are then greeted by 5 or 6 staffers who ask for your reservation at the front desk. This resembles more like a hotel desk than a restaurant desk. There's a spacious waiting area if your party hasn't all arrived yet. The restaurant is huge with multiple sections including a lively bar area. Some sections overlook the water with a beautiful waterfront view. Despite the size, you will want to make reservations early on. The food is inspiring and the presentation is fit for the movies. Taste-wise, the dishes were hit or miss. My husband ordered the lobster fra diavolo. The lobster meat is chopped into large pieces and put back into the lobster shell atop the pasta for presentation. Be warned, this dish is spicy! Hubby said the dish was good but looked better than it tasted. I ordered the bolognese. The pasta tasted fresh and al dente. The sauce is made with wagyu beef and was really tasty. I loved my dish! It's worth mentioning there are beautiful sushi selections which I see a lot of customers ordering. We didn't order sushi but we did order a good amount of apps and sides. You don't want to miss out. There are so many creative app dishes here. The wagyu appetizer had a char siu type sauce. The beef was good but to me, the char siu sauce was too sweet to complement the beef. This is my least favorite app. The truffle fries were delicious! Good truffle flavor, not overpowering. Fries had great crispy texture. The shrimp appetizer was delicious! The sauce was so good. This was our favorite appetizer. The wedge salad was good too, slightly different from your typical salad. There is a smart casual dress code but it doesn't seem too strictly enforced as long as you're not wearing flip flops and beachwear. Some were dressed to the nines while others were casual in jeans and sneakers. Between the valet service, the doorman, the front desk staff and waterfront views, don't be surprised when you see the bill. This place is pricey. Not including drinks, expect to pay about $100 per person. As we left the restaurant, and while waiting for the valet to bring our car, we saw a (mostly) verbal fight break out. It was out of place for this type of restaurant but it went on for a good 15-20 minutes!

I got the wagyu skirt steak with truffle butter topping off recommendation and honestly I don't think I talked to anyone for a solid 10 minutes - I was in a dream state eating it. So good. Everything else was great. The blu fish roll especially. Best Caesar salad I've had in the states. Darnell is an incredible server. Finish the night off with an espresso martini.

Encountered many issues at this restaurant which were met with complete indifference by all members of the staff. No respect, consideration or appreciation shown by the hostess, waiter nor manager. The busboys were great and the only team members to say thank you when we left. Will not return. Will not recommend to others.
The pretend velvet rope
We went for an early dinner but it was recommended we have a reservation so we made one and it's a short walk from the hotel. The guy at the door seemed nice enough but said my shoes weren't business casual, which I thought was odd because every other party going in was wearing sneakers. Went back to the hotel and came back with my work shoes on and the manager/owner pointed at my bag and said not to come back. Apparently business casual in NJ means sneakers, t-shirt and jeans.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
