A Fabulous experience
Our first dinner in Monaco was at the Blue Bay Restaurant and what a welcome to the country!. From the moment the big white coral like doors opened to the time we left we had a wonderful experience in a restaurant where attention to detail includes the arrival of the dishes being choreographed to be delivered together! Even all the plates on the table have a reason for being there. It is all to portray and encompass the chef’s Martinique culture to best complement the food . The food is exquisite and my words cannot do it justice- hopefully my photos will do that . I will just say that as it is a 2star Michelin restaurant I expected to leave feeling a little hungry but even though we chose from the al la cart menu that was not the case. The staff are absolutely amazing - Jeremy, Leonardo , the Sommelier and his staff - thank you . Thank , too, Jeremy for introducing us to Chef Marcel so we could thank him so the wonderful “Food Theatre “we had just experienced. As you would expect the bill was a little expensive but you don’t eat there every day .

My stomach doesn’t become upset so easily, yet I was in the worst state for the first time in the last 8 years. Woke up the next morning still feeling nauseous. I really wanted to like this restaurant, given the charming reviews, but it did not live up to the standard. I’ve had my fair share of Michelin star restaurants but it was the first time that I felt the food and flavour combinations did not work at all. I’m sure there will be those who enjoy their experience in the restaurant, but it was not for me.

What an incredible and unforgettable culinary experience! Chef Marcel Ravin has created an absolutely flawless dining experience with his 9 and 10 course tasting menus. Blue Bay is culinary masterpiece with incredibly well balanced flavors and textures! We chose the 10 course menu and it was a lot of food, but the sides are worth it! It was a wonderful experience that we will never forget!

Delicious food. Very friendly and professional service. Nice location and atmosphere. At the end of the evening we were pleasantly surprised by a bag with cake and chocolate bonbons to take with us.

Blue Bay, a Michelin two-star restaurant that was booked on the day of the meal, is located at Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort. The restaurant arranged for guests to dine on the balcony. The tableware and decorations used in the restaurant are very distinctive. The dishes show that the chef has a deep affection for the place where he grew up. One of the dishes even uses his grandmother's recipe, which combines the flavors of the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. There are three menus in total to provide guests with different choices. PS: The restaurant staff are very good at taking photos and videos.

A journey in the senses, tastes blend together perfectly, a new terrace with full sea view, high quality service and the food, what can I say, of the very, very high standard.
Be the first to ReplyWell deserved 2-star!
After a disappointing 3-star in Menton, we are longing for tasty food. We are very fortunate to discover this 2-star gem - Blue Bay. The food is excellent from amuse bouche to dessert. The amuse bouche with foie gras and caviar are very delicate; the eel risotto and seabass was fantastically cooked, mellow and flavored. Lot of flowers decoration but was not overwhelming the authentic food taste. Price is totally reasonable and 1/3 of the night before.
Be the first to ReplyIncredible! Absolutely PERFECT!
Charismatic and creative Chef Marcel Ravin is absolutely worthy of both stars ( in our opinion 3!)!!! His menu is very unique and different from any other Michelin Star menu we ever had . Fantastic compositions that you would have never expected being paired from this creative culinary master mind .The entire team was very attentive and welcoming and we never had an empty Glas of water or wine or champagne on our table . Details that we truly appreciate! From the Monte Carlo truffle eggs with Maracuja over to the excellent lamb with black garlic…every single course was a POEM . What a wonderful dinner experience to remember and we definitely will come back when we visit Monaco again .Thank you very much Mr Ravin for personally also requesting honest feedback from your guests. Absolutely WONDERFUL and HIGHLY recommend from us !

We went to the blue bay for a Sunday brunch, because it’s advertised as a champagne brunch party and the restaurant is SUPPOSED to be a 2 michelin star ⭐️ m there was champagne but no party and we had to ask every time for our glass to be refilled, staff must be bonused on how few bottles they use on a Sunday !! We arrived at 2pm and firstly disappointed with the ambiance, then the very cold welcome from the staff Absolutely not engaging at all they didn’t tell us the concept or guide us, The food was awful, the fish bar had just prawns not cleaned of there poo ! and oyster shells no oysters inside! (no idea whe they left empty shells) but a disgusting show. The salads where a non event you can’t pick your own in the smallest bowl enough for a lettuce leaf 2 half tiny mozzarella balls and some pesto, really boring and served by staff as a buffet so really awkward too Then the main coarse Cold veal, only parsnips as a veg and the gravy was tomato sauce my wife asked for the risotto and it was served on the plate with a serving spoon they way I can discribe as slop how a prison would serve it. We stayed the weekend in hotel de Paris which owns this Place, you could never believe there related because hotel de Paris is great Shall not be back to the blue bay restaurant. We felt it was the kind of place that it is aimed at tourists so they don’t care if you return.

My wife and I went to Blue Bay as we were traveling through France/Monaco. It was a lovely experience and the food was excellent. Great and interesting courses!
Be the first to ReplyReally?
I gave this restaurant 4 stars simply because I am so unfamiliar with this type of dinner and I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. My family and I walked out either half asleep or dazed mumbling, wtf was that. 9 course meal, each course about a teaspoonfull of cream and microfoliage, possibly half a snail. Each course delivered to our table at roughly 15 minute intervals by passionate and very enthusiastic servers. First 6 courses could have fit in half of a coffee cup. The main course, chicken. It measured 2 cm wide by 6 cm long and about 1.5 cm tall. I do have to say the food was tasty, but could all have fit inside a hamburger bun. At 600 euro for 3? We literally fell asleep 2 hours into it, I woke up not knowing where I was. As we prepared to leave the server handed us 2 bags weighing roughly 2 kilos each. Ok now wtf. 2 big buns of flavorless bread each measuring 20cm wide by 20 cm deep. I don't get it. Next evening we grabbed 3 steaks with fries and beer at Tip Top, now we're talking!.
Be the first to ReplyThe experience of a lifetime
To say that this was an experience of a lifetime, is an understatement. From the time you enter the restaurant, you are greeted with top notch quality customer service. The ambience was amazing.! The menu reached into areas of our palettes that have not been ignited in years, if ever. And finally towards the end of our courses, I thought that maybe they had forgotten my husband’s birthday but they surprised us both with a treat. A “Happy Birthday” dessert for him and a “Happy Honeymoon” dessert for me. Small memories like this are the ones that I will hold in my heart for years to come. The whole night was out of this world! My only regret was that we did not meet the chef in person, but only observed his magic and crew from afar. Next time I will make sure to get an autographed copy of his book.
Be the first to ReplyBest experience and service
This was our first restaurant we’ve ever been with Michelin stars and I”ll doubt we”ll find greater than this. Everything was perfect from the food to the friendly and helpful staff. We even had a surprise desert, as at the time of the reservation, I wrote it was a honeymoon dinner. Will come back!
Be the first to ReplyNice Restaurant With A Nice View
I recently dined at Blue Bay and was immediately impressed by the great view from the terrace, the décor and furniture, as well as the good service. The food was of a good standard throughout the meal, though nothing really stood out as exceptional. One person in our party had the vegetarian menu and this was particularly poor, they just use a vegan menu for vegetarians as well and this just consisted of salads and vegetables with no complex cookery at all. The cheese trolley was a highlight of the meal, which came with a fantastic black truffle cheese and some interesting jams as well. Service was excellent throughout the meal and the lovely view from the terrace made the evening even better, for these reasons Blue Bay is worth a visit, though the food sadly could be better for a two star Michelin restaurant. Worth a visit for the view, service, pleasant food and great cheese.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food, service and setting.
The food was amazing. With the tasting menu you transition from one exceptional dish to another. The service was top flight and the views were wonderful. A lovely experience that took about 3.5 hours and was well worth the price.
Be the first to ReplyVery Overrated and Weird Tasting
I was not blown away by this place. We expected something that blew us away and each course came and we were disappointed. For 145 euros each you would want to leave and feel like it’s one of the best meal you have tasted and we felt the chef tried too hard to be creative and forgot about the actual basics of taste: the pea soup was peas and water: the best course was the bread which was cold in parts when meant to be hot.. Also my wife was pregnant and informed them re no raw fish yet they still served this to her offering no alternative for the appetiser.
Service wise , again disappointing. The server took my wine glass without asking if I wanted more. They then took our water without asking if we wanted more and 30 mins from the end of our meal left us with no drinks. Just very very unexpected from what is supposed to be Michelin and what we have experienced previously at this level. It’s like people think because they are served what looks sexy they forget that food is in the taste.
I think when you expect to be blown away or at least something at a different level its a shame to be left so disappointed but my recommendation to the restaurant is go back the basics and go and focus on taste than appearance as customers should feel blown away rather than let down. The combinations on the plate do don’t really compliment each other and this was something we were looking forward to following a similar experience last year. Also the food was luke warm just.
Oh and one last thing they will charge you 10 euros for water and wont tell you. No one asked us if we liked any of the courses and even if we had a nice meal so paid the money and left. Very very upset at our experience and would not recommend to anyone which is a real shame when you spend a substantial amount.
Best meal I've ever had.
Me and my partner came for dinner a week ago. It was the best experience of my life. I'm vegan and they gave me my menu and my starter so quickly after having to change it. Service was amazing, and so inspiring. Will definitely be back!

Fantastic meal. We did the longer tasting menu, which took 4.5 hours but was full of surprises (my own tin of caviar?!) and delicious courses. The setting is stunning and service was great. A little off the beaten path in Monte Carlo but well worth it. I will say their selection of wines by the glass was very, very restricted, but all in all this was a WONDERFUL meal!

It was a 3-4 hour incredible magical culinary experience best dinner & wine & views of the Mediterranean Sea from Monaco’s best hotel. The staff especially the waiter Kevin made the evening even more spectacular. I’ll never forget it. It’s a must try while in Monte Carlo!
