Too Noisy to Enjoy
The restaurant is in a lively neighborhood; lots of young people; lots of small tables inside and out and lots of noise so that we could hardly have a conversation. If you don't mind that, then go. The food is pretty good, not great. There were four of us and we ordered several appetizers: cheese fondue, beef marrow and escargots - good not great. For our mains: paella, rack of lamb, branzino and skate. Good except the paella just ok. The table are so close together that you can barely walk around them to leave. I won't be back. I also thought it was over-priced.

We had an amazing dinner here, as we were visiting Las Vegas to celebrate our retirement. I had the Pork Chop and my husband had the Braised Short Ribs and both meals were wonderful.

My friend and I met my New York nephew and his fiancรฉ here, at their suggestion. We had a phenomenal evening g together. EVERYTHING was delicious but the highlight was a wonderfully rich chocolate flourless cake surrounded by three scoops of the best ice cream Iโve ever had (we asked for all chocolate). After filling our appetites with lamb chops, prawns, and other delights, we fortunately shared this dessert. I hate to let incredible food to waste. Service was superb and friendly and we sat for over three hours (no pressure to rush). I will definitely return on my next visit.

Food and service were perfection. Itโs a small, dimly lit, but pleasant place. Service was efficient and timely. We started with bone marrow and endive salad. Bone marrow with toast and complimentary marmalade was a perfect, and addicting dish. Entrees were fried chicken and branzino. The two couldnโt have been more different, but each were thoughtfully accompanied, and amazing in look, taste, texture. I would happily sample everything on the menu.

Very quaint and cozy, outstanding service and the manager came by our table to check on us during our visit. We ordered fried oysters, crab cocktail and the spicy fish soup. Cannot say enough good things about any of them. The crab was not overly impressive, but the fish soup and fried oysters stole the show! The flavor was outstanding and not typical or boring! For main course we had ravioli shrimp Provenรงal. Again, not mainstream or boring, VERY flavorful. Whoever is the chef is doing a great job!

Very pleasant and warm welcome by the waitress and we were looking forward as it came highly recommended. Then all hell broke out after an unfortunate incident of a waiter spilling full glass of red wine on my white shirt. Manager, a Jared fella, came to see us after a while and after sending a couple of his poor team to offer insignificant and almost insulting compensation. He should have either stepped out at the very beginning or manage, in true elegance which he seems to lack, the issue remotely as any competent manager would do. But he seems to have been drinking with buddies given his breath, and he left it to his poor directs to address. Even when we asked to cancel the order but nonetheless pay the bill, his attitude was one of kicking us out by not giving us the bill. A rather shocking demonstration of his claimed 20 years experience? But not surprising given the persona. Definitely not to be recommended and I hope Bruce and Eric will help him and have a chat with him.

So rare that i give a 5 rating on a restaurant, but this one was easy. Such good food, such a lovely atmospheric place with the perfect buzz. Understated, honest and feel good (but enough about me), if they maintain this standard and atmosphere i will come here every single time i come to NY.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly and efficient service and excellent food. We loved that it was full of locals. We had a reservation and it was quite busy even on a very cold night.

This is a small brasserie with equally small tables. Four adults at a four top were a bit crowded even before considering Covid.
The food was good, but not the outstanding experience other reviewers have had. Hanger steak was slightly overcooked, though not enough to make a scene, particularly when we were joined by friends we haven't seen in years. Beef marrow is better at BLT Steak.
Overall, the night was memorable for the friends we were with, not for the food.
Great food and ambience, the perfect NYC experience
Just ate here after a 2-year pandemic hiatus. This restaurant remains a total first rate experience, with excellent food, fresh and unique choices and a great bar. We always sit at the bar. And we cannot say enough good things about Patrick the bartender. He made great recommendations, mixed great drinks and was a pleasure to be around. This is everything you want from a New York downtown restaurant.

Iโve been visiting this spot for many years and have never been disappointed. Some of the best oysters in NYC, fried chicken is always slamming, sweetbreads are delicious and the foie gras is my favorite. Great place for a date or the grabbing a meal with friends.

A gem in Soho. The setting isnโt fancy, but the food is!
Good but not great
We went for dinner tonight with our two teenage daughters. The food was good but not great. The paella is top-notch but the rest of our dinners were pretty average (ribs, salmon). Very dark and the tables are way too small. Too crowded. too loud. Very good service and wine list. Probably won't go back as there are so many other restaurants to try in New York.

Order the chicken wings really cool dish and of-course the marrow bone is very unique as well. Prices is very affordable.

I was there for a business meal. I believe Dave was the maitre D that day. What a great host. Our waiter was also prompt and professional. We had the special that day which was the beef short ribs and it was the best. I had already had dessert at Dominique Anzel before dinner so didnโt try the dessert there but there is always next time.

Whether you go early in the evening when the crowd is relatively light, during peak hours when there is a real "crush" or past midnight, this restaurant always hits the mark. They turn out great food, have a waitstaff that can handle anything with a natural and unruffled ease and they never make mistakes. Our favorites include the oysters, the bone marrow, the shrimp remoulade, the steak tartare as appetizers. Of the many mains we like the duck breast, the sirloin, the paella, the sea bass and the rank of lamb. Though there is a neighborhood feel to the place, it is truly a professional operation with expertise in the kitchen and on the "floor". Nice wines by the glass and well prepared cocktails round out the experience.
