Walter and the Boia De team really delivered such a stellar experience! Definitely one of my top 5 favorite meals since I moved to Florida in 2015.Not only was the food phenomenal, the service was top notch - outstanding. The servers and kitchen staff went out of their way to make us feel like royalty.First of all, this unassuming, little restaurant had the best ambiance with very casual, chill vibe and great taste in music. The Rolling Stones were on in the background and it just fit so well with the causal, yet trendy atmosphere.Everything we tried was outstanding! My favorites were: The pappardelle which was homemade and so texturally perfect. The beef tartar with fried capers was out of this world and last but not least, the potato skins with caviar really were excellent. I really can't come up with the right words to describe the perfection of it all. All I know is that I will definitely dream about the food we had for a long time to come.
😍
This is the best restaurant in Miami.
From food, which is incredibly thought out and creative and delicious to friendly service - this is the best.

We were really excited to go to this restaurant, some our friends suggested it as wonderful but we were really disappointed. We tried ordering the whole menu and we couldn't.We order a total of 15 plates and 2 desserts. We were expecting so much more from the food but it was just "ok" from the 15 plates we order we really liked 3 (Ika crudo, beef tarare and saffron tagliatelle pomodoro)of them the rest not so much, desserts (carrot cake and chocolate budino)Maybe it wasn't a good day for the kitchen.I suggest you go an have your own experience, give it try. Maybe we missed on the plates we didn't order, who knows. I

Superb experience from beginning to end.
We started off with the polenta, then had the potato skins and the fried artichokes. Then we did the cold crab pasta and the gnocchi with sausage and truffles. The chocolate budino was to die for. Everything was fantastic. Will be back for sure.

Loved this place, only 4 stars because making reservations
Loved this place, only 4 stars because making reservations suck, especially when I've heard that concierge always seem to grab up all the reservations, but food was delicious and eclectic
🙂
We came in on a Friday night with an advanced reservation.
The restaurant seats maybe 30 people and has a very intimate vibe. The wine and cocktail list is superb, and they even make their own grenadine for non-alcoholic drinks. Our favorite dish was the salad, as it was a creative/upscale representation of what I've had as "Italian" salads at traditional trattorias. The other dishes like the potatoes and pasta were okay but the execution on them was a little lacking; the potatoes were chewy instead of crispy, and the pastas were either very al dente or too soft. Overall though I would still recommend trying this restaurant.

My significant other and I made reservations 4 weeks in
My significant other and I made reservations 4 weeks in advance to dine at Boia De- this was our celebratory dinner for Valentine's day. We were seated inside super quick. You will have to give your entire food order (except dessert) at once so make sure you make your decision once you give the order to your waiter. Our waiter recommended that for 2 people, we should order 4-6 plates. So we ordered 6 plates and we're pretty satisfied at the end. We started with the Ika Krudo and the Baked Clams. The Ika Krudo was amazing and had a great beet sauce. The Baked Clams were okay- probably could skip this dish. Then we had the chopped salad- the lettuce quality was amazing! One of our favorite dishes was the Octopus Confit- it was SO tender, not chewy at all! And it was packed with tons of flavor. At last- we ordered some pasta dishes- SAFFRON TAGLIATELLE POMODORO and PAPPARDELLE ALLA LEPRE- you really can't go wrong with either of these dishes but i really preferred the PAPPARDELLE because the pasta was a little thicker. Either way both pasta dishes were served al dente. Finally, we ended our meal with dessert: ginger ice cream and the crispy Tiramisu. Overall, amazing culinary experience. This place is a Miami gem!!

Service: Miguel, Monique, Tamar, & the whole staff were fantastic.Give them all a raise.Food/Wine: We especially loved the Nebbiolo, the simple pasta with Pomodoro, the lamb ribs, the tiramisu dessert, and the tiny bitter after dinner shots. We had no reservation so we showed up at 4 PM on a Saturday and spoke to the professional and very warm manager Miguel before they opened. We noticed the people who came at 5:30 without reservations were seated at the bar-- but we got a table. I am sure on a busy night people will be turned away . There was not one extra seat in the house. Plan ahead!
😍
I can't believe the meal and service I just had.
I flew from out of state for a wedding in Miami. Often, Michelin star meals are ostentatious and feel like you're staring at the blazing sun. Dining at Boia De was like watching a sunset while consuming food made with love. I recommend this place to my friends, strangers, and enemies. Everyone should try this once in their life. I recommend showing up when they open if you do not have a reservation. It's worth the wait.

My kids are going to kill me, but I’m going to say it; the food here is fire! This restaurant is so hot that the only reservation we could get was a Monday at 9:30 (it’s ok, I took a nap). Over my objection, we started with Luci’s Chopped Salad. I’m glad I was overruled. This was one of the best salads I’ve ever eaten. It had artichokes and peppers and cheese and about 50 other things. This was followed by the Crispy Polenta. While well made, this was relatively boring and not worth mentioning again. Then we had the white truffle tagliatelle. It was creamy and delicious. As my wife said, this was as good as any pasta we ever had in Italy. Next up was the Bufala Ricotta Gnochi ala Norcina. This has black truffle and was fantastic. We finishef with the Cannellinni Beans with baby clams. A perfect ending to the meal. Each dish was better than the last. The service was also great. Shout out to Meg, our server, who was friendly and very attentive. If we could get another reservation, we would go back tonight.
😍
This place is absolutely spectacular.
After researching Miami cuisine looking for good Michelin restaurants we ended up here and it was so good we went back before the trip was over. The black truffle agnolotti was amazing and the tartar was so unique and my favorite I've ever had. Can't wait to go back next time I'm in town.
😍
Was surprised by their creativity and amazing flavor combinations
This place makes combinations you thought would not work to create something amazing from them. The location is small and not super comfortable but the food makes up for it. As Michelin system says worth the drive to an area of town that is off the beaten path. Portions are small so order a few things if sharing.
🙂
Definitely a unique experience
Ambience is chill and the food is amazing, definitely a unique experience
Even though the restaurant is in a scary part of town, the food is good and innovative. The one star is mainly for the service. They have this strange policy where you have to order everything you want at once. We were a group of four celebrating a birthday on a Sunday afternoon; the restaurant was semi full inside and completely empty outside. We order our food all at once (as per policy). The plates are very small by the way. When we finished, we ask our waiter if we could order additional plates since the portions were smaller than anticipated. We received a rude "NO, YOU CAN ONLY ORDER ONCE." Needless to say, we were in shock! From that point on the entire experience was ruined. We have never been treated so abrasive and dismissive for wanting to order more food in a restaurant. The whole experience brought to mind the famous Seinfeld episode of "No Soup for You! If you like to be treated in a restaurant as if they are doing you a favor to serve you, this is the place for you. If not, avoid; there are plenty of nice restaurants in the 305.
🤮
How is it possible that this place is mentioned as a Michelin star? .
This is not a Michelin star It is a shame that Miami mentions this place as quality, the food was poorly prepared, without flavor, without salt at all, the lamb was poor quality and very spicy, the waiter forgot to put the correct order and the last dish arrived 30 minutes later, the dessert was very old processed from days, the tables too close together, a customer coughed next to me and I wet myself every time he did, the dishes were damaged, see the photos below
We reached Nirvana during this meal. Our advice: Order everything on the menu. This place is unbelievably good- best food we've ever had including international dining and it is super affordable for fine dining. We ate 6 courses in 45 mins it was so good. They do have you put in your whole order at once so beware! Will be dreaming of Boia De for awhile. Waitress was great, too.
Wonderful meal last night in this cozy spot just north of the design district. Our server was also a bartender who was extremely knowledgeable about the menu as well as eager to make sure we left happy and satisfied. The winners of the night were the beef tartar, the sweet corn agnolotti, and the carrott cake with mascarpone cream. The reason we say "nearly" perfect is that the rabbit ragout and vongole pasta dish both did not have al dente pasta. While the pasta was indeed homemade it was cooked too long and did not have an al dente bite. Also, the ginger ice cream with the carrott cake was off putting, a nice vanilla ice cream would have been better. With all that said, we can't wait to return and see what changes the menu brings this fall!

This restaurant sits in a very nondescript corner of a small shopping center. I thought I was in the wrong place at first. Friends had said to come here if I wanted to have a solo dinner, and it did not disappoint, in fact it exceeded my expectations. It's a small restaurant with only a few tables but the bar is big enough to sit several couples (or singles) comfortably. I ordered a very tasty glass of red wine, the steak tartare, half of a chopped salad (they only offer the half portion if you're dining alone) and the king crab tagliolini. I hadn't eaten more than an avocado all day so this was the perfect amount for a very hungry woman. The portions aren't huge either so a starter, greens and an entree was perfect. Best steak tartare I've had in my recent memory. They fry beef tendons in order to make the "chips" that go with it. It was perfection. The chopped salad was delicious but I'm partial to a solid chopped salad, which this was. The pasta was served cold, light but also creamy and was worth the very full feeling I felt when I walked out of there. For me, a cold pasta in summer is welcomed and I was so happy with my choice. I'll have to go back to try the potato skins with caviar. *al Bacio*
😍
Went on a Wednesday night for a birthday dinner.
We've gone to multiple Michelin starred restaurants in both Miami and NYC and this has been our favorite thus far. Every dish was excellent, creative and well priced. Our favorite dishes were the gnocchi and the beef tartare. Drinks and service were also excellent.

It's been about a year and a Michelin Star since my first
It's been about a year and a Michelin Star since my first visit to Boia De and a reservation is harder to get than ever for this little hole in the wall with world class food. It remains one of the best unassuming restaurants in Miami. Every item on the menu is outstanding. The Beef Tartare is better than Surf Club, Bourbon Steak, Lido. The Buffalo Ricotta Gnocchi Pomodoro is as good as anything you'll find at Marea or Acquarello. The Lamb Ribs are scrumptious. Fried Potato skins with stracciatella, Regiis Ova Caviar and egg are a high end comfort food indulgence. The Spot Prawn Crudo with watermelon aquachile and Fresno granita sings. Saffron Tagliatelle alla Vongole will please spaghetti and clam lovers. All the pastas are house made right before the restaurant opens. Some sell out as they don't have space to keep anything for the next day. If you miss clams oreganata that you find in Italian restaurants all over the New York area and few in Miami, try the baked clams here made with nduja. The wine list remains eclectic with a focus on old world, small producers and biodynamic with prices that are about 100-125% above retail. Your biggest challenge will be getting a reservation. You can try for a walk in but not easy. Premium Amex Cards will give you waiting list notice on Resy. I understand the reservation system opens up at noon each day for the next 30 days out. Highlights:* A hole in the wall with outstanding food* Wish it were a little cooler and the music a little lower but the food is worth it to endure a little inconvenience* DO NOT expect to walk in and get a table, you need to reserve weeks in advance on Resy with a small $10 short notice cancellation guarantee, you might snag a seat at the counter without a reservation, but no guarantee* Italian Fusion Tapas/Sharing Style* Indoor and Outdoor SeatingKudos to Chef partners Luciana from Italy and Alex for bringing a great new addition to Little Haiti, but actually just a couple of minutes away from the Design District. Of the 14 dishes we sampled there was not one disappointment and a lot of wows. Our friends drive from Boca Raton every week to come here. I was a little hesitant to write this review because if it causes more people to come here I may never be able to get a reservation! But these guys deserve a great review, hardworking, small business owners, putting their heart and soul into creating some of the best food in Miami. Boia De is located in a stip shipping center next to a laundromat. Don't let the location or ambience dissuade you from coming as you will enjoy great food. I'm not a fan of polenta, but the crispy polenta is better than anything I I've ever had. The littleneck baked clams are tasty with a touch of nduja, spicy Calabrian pork, bread crumbs, butter, garlic and lemon. But what may blow you away are the lamb ribs, killer! The Amberjack Crudo was sensational with yuzu salsa verde as was the excellent beef tartare with tomato and garlic-shallot crumble served with crispy grilled bread. Those are some of the things I would go back for, as well as the potato skins with caviar which I didn't get to try but heard rave reviews about. The Tagliolini al Nero, black squid ink pasta with king crab and lemon truffle sauce had a delicious nutty flavor, and it was fun to try half of the other things on the menu, the bone marrow, foie gras torchon, corn agnolotti, Fava salad and some outstanding desserts. The Affogato, Carrot Cake and Chocolate Budino were great and the tiramisu was better than any tiramisu... crispy! There is a moderate size eclectic wine list with a focus on Old World, otherwise $35 corkage with some limitations and they will waive a corkage fee for each bottle you purchase from them. There is a reservation limit of four people. Thanks to Luciana and Alex for your commitment to create a new little gem.
Very pleasant experience. From service through to the meal, everything was perfect. The setting is quaint and down to earth with a friendly staff that was very welcoming. Overall, we got lucky, not having reserved we were greeted and frankly seated at the bar within 10 minutes. We ordered the shrimp started, a wonderful tossed salad and each of us took a pasta. My papardelle rabbit was, and I have almost no hesitancy saying this, the best pasta dish I have had in the last 10 years. We finished with the tiramisu, an incredible conclusion to a wonderful meal. So happy we went, I hope this place never changes.

Favorite Restaurant in Miami
An understated restaurant where food speaks for itself. All dishes are creative and simply delicious. All the pastas are so good it is hard to choose one. Super nice staff and price is hard to beat. If you are a foodie and want to avoid the cliche Miami scene, than this your spot. Bravo!!!
😍
I went last night and the food was incredible.
I've just been trying different new Michelin star restaurants and this one has been my fave. My friend and I shared the crispy polenta with egg plant (I don't even like eggplant and wow), the mussels and potato skins to start. All amazing flavors. Three pastas: agnolotti , vogola and gnocchi. All delicious. I can't decide which one was my fave. Also the portions are perfect and not too filling. For dessert we had the tiramisu and chocolate pudding. Don't think twice just go and order. It's in a random shopping center and recommend a reservation. There is limited seating. Service was great everyone was very nice. The Pinot Noir bottle was incredible. Trying to find it in a store to buy. Nothing bad to say about this place.
🙂
Good food in a hidden location.
Their menu is pretty unique but I am not really sure it's worth a Michelin Star. Prices are not too high - although I didn't like they charged me for bread - and could improve on the overall service. I had to dine with water dripping over me from the AC, which wasn't entirely pleasant. Anyways, overall I enjoyed it, will be back (hopefully sit in another spot) and would recommend it.

My wife and I took a chance to attempt to walk in at
My wife and I took a chance to attempt to walk in at opening and were rewarded with one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. As a chef myself, this is the restaurant of my dreams. Located in an unassuming little strip plaza, small, casual/cool vibe, informed staff, and a tight focused menu, with both counter and table seating w/ additional seating outside weather permitting. We were seated at the counter which We prefer because We like the interaction and watching the entire team create the experience. The menu this night was 10 starter plates and 7 second plates. All plates are perfect for sharing, not too small to share, but not too big for individual. We share so we went with 3 starters and 2 seconds. We zeroed in on baked clams, beef tartare(was solid recommendation) and veal sweetbreads. All were really delicious, like f-bomb delicious. Special shout out for the sweetbreads though. They were perfectly portioned and cooked, creamy on the inside. Very few people understand how to properly prepare sweetbreads. They nail it on this dish. Great technique in preparation. We followed with the tortellini and agnoloti. Not sure if these are regular menu items but they were great and i would order the the pastas how ever they decide to compose them(they straight up tell you the menu changes at will). 5 desserts, we went with tiramisu. Was perfect ending to a great meal. Cocktail list is tight and interesting and the cocktail my wife had was great(I Dream of Greenie). I had a couple of beers (I am a chef!), a really good pilsner and a equally good ipa. I cant recommend this place enough. The couple really nailed it with this restaurant.

I have been to Boia De twice within the past 6 months and
I have been to Boia De twice within the past 6 months and was not impressed. The staff is very friendly and the service is good, but the food was disappointing, especially the second time. The Potato Skins, Saffron Tagliatelle, and Grilled Mushrooms were good. The Tagliolini Nero and Sunchoke Pasta were disappointing. The second time I went, the food had zero flavor, especially the Squash Blossoms and Tortellini in Brodo.
😍
Excellent food and service!! Would have never thought based
Excellent food and service!! Would have never thought based on location but so glad we decided to give it a try. Can't wait to go back again.

Boia De! Where do I start with this Miami gem? Tucked away
Boia De! Where do I start with this Miami gem? Tucked away in an unassuming strip mall is a charming, quaint Michelin Starred restaurant that does not feel elitist, snobby, or trendy in any way! In fact, I'd argue it's quite the opposite: casual and laid back but completely focused on the quality of the food and dining experience being given to patrons. The vibes are little bit hipster-y and even community-like with the way I saw other diners talking to others at tables across from them! The servers here are both intelligent about the menu and genuinely conversational. We had reservations last week which were booked a month in advance for 9:15 PM in a Friday night, right before the Michelin guide for Florida was revealed. Our dining experience did not disappoint! This was easily one of the top 3 dining experiences I've had anyehere, period. Our server, Freddy M. went over the menu with us and explained all of their greatest hits, as well as some of his own personal favorites. We came here ready to order multiple things and ended up with the following:- CRISPY POLENTA ($9) - with marinated eggplant, and ricotta salat. The perfect snack to share among the table and a healthier alternative to fries sold elsewhere. This is an absolute re-order on a future visit.- BEEF TARTARE ($18) - with tonnato, garlic-shallot crumble, and crispy capers. Instead of corn chips to scoop the beef, this dish comes with a chicharron-like chip/scooper to do the job. A little touch that is unique and goes a long way. The beef itself was also of great quality.- POTATO SKINS ($25) - stracciatella, caviar, and hard egg. This is a show stopper appetizer-- think of a fancier version of TGI Friday's potato skins. An order only brings 2, so I'm not sure if I would order it again personally. But, if this is your first time dining at Boia De, give it a try!- PAPPARDELLE ALLA LEPRE ($24) - with rabbit, rosemary, and tomato. This pasta was cooked al dente and was not overloaded with sauce. This was also our first time eating rabbit meat, which tasted like a more tender version of dark meat chicken.- SWEET CORN AGNOLOTTI ($25) - with porcini. This was the biggest surprise of the night! Who thought that something as simple as half pasta squares stuffed with creamy corn could be so good? We loved both pasta dishes, but this was my fiancée's favorite dish of the evening.- CRISPY TIRAMISU ($9) - exactly how it sounds. Tiramisu crisped up like a meringue cookie. A creative take on a classic Italian dessert!- AFFOGATO ($6) - with a scoop of Frice cream topped with espresso. This was our first time having Affogato and are lovers of this simple dessert now. The espresso satiated our desire for coffee, while the Frice cream scoop provided some creamy sweetness to complement the espresso. To celebrate our recent engagement, our server Freddy M. brought out an additional, stand-alone scoop of Frice cream for us to enjoy. How can I describe Frice Cream? Think of if as a saltier ice cream, made with olive oil. We asked Freddy more about this and learned that this ice cream is locally made and can be purchased at The Citadel. We need a tub, ASAP!What an amazing date night this turned out to be. Thank you to Boia De for making this a memorable evening. Top notch food and great company with an unpretentious atmosphere. What more can you ask for? Congratulations on the Michelin Star-- we're looking forward to future visits and seeing Boia De's continued success. This restaurant is the perfect example a Miami success story that has a soul! Thank you to Freddy M. and all of his colleagues for providing excellent, down-to-earth service. The entire service experience felt homey and friendly!

Boia De means "oh my!" And that's exactly how I felt after
Boia De means "oh my!" And that's exactly how I felt after eating at this Michelin star restaurant. It's located in a shopping center which they have seating while you wait for your reservation. The restaurant can only seat 15-20 people max, so make sure to make a res. My boyfriend and I wanted to try everything so we went for 5 dishes and a dessert. His favorite was the TAGLIOLINI NERO: king crab and truffle. We also got the mussels, potato skins, saffron tagliatelle. Everything was so delicious and I definitely recommend getting a lot of plates and sharing them. We finished off with the carrot cake and it was one of the best I've ever had. I love the natural wine on the menu and my boyfriend was obsessed with the beer he got! We would definitely come back and try more dishes since the menu changes often.
All dishes were above average, and some, like the cold Tagliolini Nero (with king crab, truffle, herbs, and vin jaune), were outstanding and unforgettable. Expect very high quality, fresh, creative dishes not too far out on the creativity but far enough to make them special & memorable. Expect also amazing service. One of my favorite restaurants in Miami.

Underrated dinner spot in Miami The mushrooms are so good
Underrated dinner spot in Miami The mushrooms are so good fresh & delicious for an appetizer. The saffron pasta is a great option for a main course. I've had saffron pasta before and I can say this one tastes wayyy better than what I had before Then there was the lamb ribs that was also well cooked and well flavor. Slightly spicy Excellent service - Would come again
