BONDST New York Reviews from The Last Year
We celebrated our anniversary at this chic trendy Japanese
We celebrated our anniversary at this chic trendy Japanese spot! Ordered an assortment of sushi, TORO TARTARE, GRILLED AGED NY STRIP STEAK, and GRILLED WAGYU SKIRT STEAK to share. Enjoyed the incredible food and the good service.
It just wasn't worth the price.
Went with a group of 8. I wasn't impressed with the sushi or the portion sizes of the apps or entrees. There are better spots where you don't have to sit in the dark to eat. Super dim light is a red flag of trying to disguise food that isn't worth the price. Trying to dull the taste sense by taking away the sight sense.
Visited BONDST Sushi on a busy Friday night and the place
Visited BONDST Sushi on a busy Friday night and the place did not disappoint. It's situated in Downtown Manhattan and offers a lively atmosphere with modern decor. The staff greeted us warmly and we got seated quickly. The cocktail menu caught our attention first. I tried the Ginger Dragon based on the bartender's suggestion - a great choice with a nice kick. The Toasted Barley Old Fashioned was another hit at our table, warranting a second round. Appetizers were the standout of the evening. The Big Eye Tuna Tart, especially with the special salt, was a flavor bomb. However, while the sushi was fresh and well-prepared, it didn't quite live up to the appetizers. It was good, just not as memorable. A heads-up for future visitors: our waitress recommended a lot of dishes, and we ended up over-ordering. While all delicious, it was more than our group of 8 could manage. So, maybe order conservatively. Overall, BONDST offers a fantastic dining experience with its great vibe and unique dishes. Just be mindful of how much you order. Definitely worth a visit for the drinks and appetizers alone.

I found my fav sushi spot in nyc it's the best I've had here so far their tuna is amazing, classy vibes and honestly everything was so good im coming back here AT LEAST ONCE
This is hands down one of the best sushi places in the city.
Their Tuna pizza and crispy rice are great. The scallop roll and yellow tail rolls are the best on the menu. If you can, sit in the back near the chefs and it will greatly enhance your experience. The apple dessert is also great.

Outstanding!! Queue The Gap Band! We tried this place on a whim and I'm so glad we did. My husband, our 3 yr old, our 10 month old and I went here for a nice dinner after shopping at Hudson Yards (so nice!). We kicked it off with a Lychee martini for mom and a Serrano margarita for dad. We loved both cocktails-- they were well balanced and delicious. We ordered the Hamachi for appetizer and it was fresh and the sauce was so yummy! I ordered the scallop jalapeño roll which is quite possibly my favorite sushi roll ever. That roll is a must try. There's an aioli dipping sauce and the roll is luscious. A word I used to describe it was fatty but is a decadent way. My husband loved his roll as well. It was a salmon avocado roll. This place was so nice and I want to acknowledge how patient and kind our server was. She was so hands on with our 3 yr old. Helping him color and even introducing this picky 3 yr old to edamame which he loved. Typically parents opt not to take their children to nicer restaurants but we think it's important to 1. Enjoy our lives and continue doing the things we love like eating at nice restaurants and 2. We think it's important to expose them to different cuisines and places. We felt so welcomed here and will definitely be back!! The food and service were unbeatable.

It was extremely expensive and the service was terrible! We waited over a half hour for drinks and it wasn't busy! We had a severe food allergy in our party and they brought two things that could have made my friend severely sick and needing an epi pen!! W mentioned the allergy three times! Go at your own risk!

I go to BondST about twice a week and the sushi/sashimi is always fresh. I've never had a bad meal. My go-to for lunch is the miso or the mushroom soup and the yellowtail jalapeño. The bartender, Nico is a very talented mixologist and I was very impressed with my Mezcal drink. I highly recommend BondST located on the 5th floor of 30 Hudson Yards.

Bondst has really great quality sushi and unique dishes you may not see at other sushi spots. They had a great variety of rolls, appetizers, and mains. We ordered a whole bunch of items to try and none of them disappointed. We especially liked the tuna crispy rice! Big eye tuna tarts Crispy shrimp Salmon avocado roll Tuna crispy rice Sea bass with mushrooms The reason for 4 stars is that although we arrived on time for our 9:15PM reservation, we weren't seated until 30 minutes later. Waiter service was a little slow to start but once we got our order in the food started coming quickly. I recommend this for a special occasion or dinner out but be prepared to wait in a crowded lobby area.
I went here on a NY vacation.
The weather was gloomy and cold but the service was awesome. The waitress was so friendly recommending the favorites and tour suggestions in the city. The view was awesome, music and ambience Just WOW! I felt attended to and VIP. Recommend this place when in NYC. Also the mall decor is top notch..
BondST
I honestly came in here loaded, so take this review with a grain of salt. I was invited to join this dinner with some old friends that I met Freshman year of college. I ended up transferring after sophomore year, meanwhile their friendships kept on budding and grew into something beautiful and special. When I was invited last minute, I took it as an honor. We met for a few drinks before, and then headed over to BondST. Why I am telling you all of this? I have no idea but it feels important to set the scene. I'm a visual guy. When we checked in for our 9:30 res, it was about a 20 minute wait which was irksome but not abnormal. We waited at the packed bar to pass the time. One of the girls in the group asked what I wanted to drink. So thoughtful. I opted for an old-fashion as I thought I would look beast drinking it in my new suit jacket I just picked up from L-Train. I was correct. Beast. The hostess came up and said our table was ready. After a short elevator ride, we were seated in the back corner of the top room. Beast again. At this point we ordered more drinks, which really TAGGED me. Hit me like that body shot Tank hit Ryan Garcia with. I was involved in ordering the food, with another girl in our group taking the lead. Thank Jesus, I needed to be led at this point. We ordered family style and the items included seaweed salads, Big Eye Tuna, Tuna Crispy rice, Shrimp Tempura, Steamed Black Sea Bass, Spicy Tuna rolls, Spicy yellow tail rolls, and the Wagyu Skirt Steak. I loved everything with the highlight being the Tuna Crispy Rice and Wagyu Skirt Steak. All in all, BondST is a great place to catch up with friends or an ex lover, hold a business meeting, or just to come and have some exquisite Japanese food. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__
Deeply Disappointed - Discrimination Incident
I am profoundly disappointed by my recent experience at BOND ST NYC on December 15, 2023. A celebration turned sour when an adjacent table accused my group, which included a Black, Latino and a Russian, of having paraphernalia. We had ordered our cocktails and food and once the food came to our table. Shockingly, without investigation, the staff asked us to pay and leave. We normally visit the establishment for our personal and work related celebrations. The assistant evening manager did dismiss us and did not provide the general managers contact information after we were being embarrassed and dismissed from the vicinity. This unfounded accusation, coupled with the lack of proper inquiry, reflects poorly on the establishment. It's disheartening that the evening manager, a person of color, allowed such discrimination. My family and friends are deeply hurt, and we demand a response from management. This incident has prompted us to reconsider our patronage. #Discrimination #UnpleasantExperience #BONDSTNYC
Impressive
BondST Hudson Yards! I went to the original location for cocktails but last night was able to dine at the Hudson Yards location. I was on cloud nine, as each dish came: first the Big Eye Tuna Tart, Short Rib Gyoza, Yellowtail Sashimi, followed lastly by the Toro Tuna Tatare. I sat in the lounge, Richard at the bar served me and I had such an enjoyable experience! Will be back next year, thank you BondSt and Richard at the bar!

Questions around how AppointmentTrader works for Restaurant Reservations

Ask a Question |
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue? |
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
