We celebrated our anniversary at this chic trendy Japanese spot! Ordered an assortment of sushi, TORO TARTARE, GRILLED AGED NY STRIP STEAK, and GRILLED WAGYU SKIRT STEAK to share. Enjoyed the incredible food and the good service.
Be the first to ReplyIt just wasn't worth the price.
Went with a group of 8. I wasn't impressed with the sushi or the portion sizes of the apps or entrees. There are better spots where you don't have to sit in the dark to eat. Super dim light is a red flag of trying to disguise food that isn't worth the price. Trying to dull the taste sense by taking away the sight sense.

Visited BONDST Sushi on a busy Friday night and the place did not disappoint. It's situated in Downtown Manhattan and offers a lively atmosphere with modern decor. The staff greeted us warmly and we got seated quickly. The cocktail menu caught our attention first. I tried the Ginger Dragon based on the bartender's suggestion - a great choice with a nice kick. The Toasted Barley Old Fashioned was another hit at our table, warranting a second round. Appetizers were the standout of the evening. The Big Eye Tuna Tart, especially with the special salt, was a flavor bomb. However, while the sushi was fresh and well-prepared, it didn't quite live up to the appetizers. It was good, just not as memorable. A heads-up for future visitors: our waitress recommended a lot of dishes, and we ended up over-ordering. While all delicious, it was more than our group of 8 could manage. So, maybe order conservatively. Overall, BONDST offers a fantastic dining experience with its great vibe and unique dishes. Just be mindful of how much you order. Definitely worth a visit for the drinks and appetizers alone.
Be the first to ReplyThis is hands down one of the best sushi places in the city.
Their Tuna pizza and crispy rice are great. The scallop roll and yellow tail rolls are the best on the menu. If you can, sit in the back near the chefs and it will greatly enhance your experience. The apple dessert is also great.

Outstanding!! Queue The Gap Band! We tried this place on a whim and I'm so glad we did. My husband, our 3 yr old, our 10 month old and I went here for a nice dinner after shopping at Hudson Yards (so nice!). We kicked it off with a Lychee martini for mom and a Serrano margarita for dad. We loved both cocktails-- they were well balanced and delicious. We ordered the Hamachi for appetizer and it was fresh and the sauce was so yummy! I ordered the scallop jalapeรฑo roll which is quite possibly my favorite sushi roll ever. That roll is a must try. There's an aioli dipping sauce and the roll is luscious. A word I used to describe it was fatty but is a decadent way. My husband loved his roll as well. It was a salmon avocado roll. This place was so nice and I want to acknowledge how patient and kind our server was. She was so hands on with our 3 yr old. Helping him color and even introducing this picky 3 yr old to edamame which he loved. Typically parents opt not to take their children to nicer restaurants but we think it's important to 1. Enjoy our lives and continue doing the things we love like eating at nice restaurants and 2. We think it's important to expose them to different cuisines and places. We felt so welcomed here and will definitely be back!! The food and service were unbeatable.

It was extremely expensive and the service was terrible! We waited over a half hour for drinks and it wasn't busy! We had a severe food allergy in our party and they brought two things that could have made my friend severely sick and needing an epi pen!! W mentioned the allergy three times! Go at your own risk!

I go to BondST about twice a week and the sushi/sashimi is always fresh. I've never had a bad meal. My go-to for lunch is the miso or the mushroom soup and the yellowtail jalapeรฑo. The bartender, Nico is a very talented mixologist and I was very impressed with my Mezcal drink. I highly recommend BondST located on the 5th floor of 30 Hudson Yards.

Bondst has really great quality sushi and unique dishes you may not see at other sushi spots. They had a great variety of rolls, appetizers, and mains. We ordered a whole bunch of items to try and none of them disappointed. We especially liked the tuna crispy rice! Big eye tuna tarts Crispy shrimp Salmon avocado roll Tuna crispy rice Sea bass with mushrooms The reason for 4 stars is that although we arrived on time for our 9:15PM reservation, we weren't seated until 30 minutes later. Waiter service was a little slow to start but once we got our order in the food started coming quickly. I recommend this for a special occasion or dinner out but be prepared to wait in a crowded lobby area.
Be the first to ReplyI went here on a NY vacation.
The weather was gloomy and cold but the service was awesome. The waitress was so friendly recommending the favorites and tour suggestions in the city. The view was awesome, music and ambience Just WOW! I felt attended to and VIP. Recommend this place when in NYC. Also the mall decor is top notch..

This is my new favorite sushi spot! The atmosphere is excellent, food is wonderful. Service was fast. Definitely a great spot for a night out. The sushi is so fresh, all the appetizers were to die for. Definitely going back!
Be the first to ReplyIncredible doesn't cut it.
This is the place to go. Visited for the first time despite being on my list forever. Wish I had gone sooner. My friend and I went on a Saturday night and we were seated in the lounge. For starters, the music here is great. Back to back Drake really added to the vibe. The service here was also a 10/10. What we were most excited about were the lychee martinis (each had 3 - they made them so well). Food wise we split edamame, each got a salad (the warm mushroom salad was INSANE). Another must have is the crispy rice - I got the avocado one and my friend got the tuna. DO NOT SKIP ON THE DESSERT. You have to try the green tea crepe. I'm still dreaming about it.

Fun date night spot and amazing food. Everything we ordered was amazing. It is $$$ but worth it. Loud and fun. Our server, Nadine was so great. Will be back!

NY dining experience! Pricey, but simply excellent food, vibe and service. We had Big Eye Tuna, Tuna Crispy rice (think spicy tuna roll but soooo much better), Red Snapper Tacos, OCtopus and Mushroom Donabe. All were excellent in their own way, with a unique element in each dish. We loved it and will be back.

Be the first to ReplyGlad to finally try this place.
We sat at the bar and had a couple glasses of wine and ate dinner. My favorite item was the octopus. It was perfectly cooked and very flavorful. The sashimi and crispy rice was great as well. Although good, I thought the sushi might have been what I was least impressed by. The restaurant is cozy but very busy- you can tell you're at a good spot.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic sushi.
It's a little loud but the food makes up for that. Unique options and a really great spot for a birthday or celebratory dinner.

After two years away from NYC (pandemic), a move to Miami, and a baby. My first visit to NYC and this was my dinner stop. Overall (5/5) clearly my favorite in NYC and maybe restaurant period (Miami just can't mimic bond st sushi vibe like NYC, sorry Miami)Venue (5/5) I go straight to the downstairs lounge. Regardless of how you want to classify this place it's trendy and a place where people are aware they are being watched. I'd say well dressed...beautiful people vibe. Plenty of dates and smaller groups. You'll see celebrities here and lots of models. Food (5/5) the picture is my go - to orders. Tuna tart, spicy tuna crispy rice, spicy crispy shrimp... dry sakatini. Now in 2022/2023 the prices are higher than pre pandemic but worth every penny. Mmmmmm. Desserts are wonderful too. Matcha layer cake or lava cake!Service (5/5). Wonderful. It's pricey so the service does match the price point.

I never write Yelp reviews but this experience has compelled me to warn anyone thinking about eating here. I ate here last Sunday and experienced the worst food poisoning I have ever experienced . No words . My dr is trying to figure out if I got parasites from this experience and I had to miss work , go to 3 different drs so far and spend a ton of money on medical expenses because of this meal . It has been a complete nightmare . My partner also got sick . I have been coming here for over ten years and I'll never be back . Just awful !
Be the first to ReplyIf you love sushi, take yourself on a date to BondST.
If you hate sushi, take yourself on a date to BondST, they will fix that. Staff is very hospitable (like expert hospitality level) and knowledgeable about the very extensive menu and even more extensive wine and sake menu. Overwhelmed? Can't pronounce Japanese words (even though it's really easy once you learn at least one of the alphabets)? They've got your back. You can order a whole slew of random drinks, hot appetizers, cold appetizers, entrees, sushi rolls, and nigiri sushi and it will all be presented to you like a curated sushi journey. Apart from their valuable advice, I highly recommend trying a few different glasses of sake off the premium sake list. (It's not your suburban sushi restaurant hot table sake, it's the fancy stuff, you drink it like white wine, and if you're like me you instantly forget about white wine forever). Each sake tastes so beautiful and different from the other and the menu and the waiters do a good job of helping you figure out what to order depending on your tastes. And if you're still afraid of sake because you still can't pronounce Japanese, BondST has the best lychee martini out there, not to mention excellent other cocktails expertly made. For food, I definitely recommend the tuna tarts (add truffle for fancy flavor!) which seem unique to BondST and are a very memorable and fun cold appetizer. Of the hot appetizers, the fois gras gyoza blew my mind. Like my synapses all lit up and I short circuited. I might come back and get just those for myself for dinner. And then the sushi. The sushi rolls are delicate, flavorful, and unique - one of my now favorite rolls of all time is the beautiful, pearlescent, BondST scallop roll. I've had it three times now and it's like a sushi hug. We took a big sampling of the desserts this time, a classic being the matcha Mille crepe cake, but my favorites this time were the dark chocolate mochi ice cream of the mochi ice cream trio and the donuts which are filled with surprises. Carpe diem. Be royalty. Dress up. Take yourself (and ok maybe a special someone else) to BondST. Learn about sake. Sush out!
Be the first to ReplyA few friends and I came here to celebrate my birthday.
We sat at the bar first before being seated and ordered some drinks. I got a cucumber shiso drink and my friend got the bartenders speciality which was unbelievable but I cannot tell you what was inside. Something lemongrassy-- he wouldn't tell us it's his secret. I wish I could remember what we ordered but we got so much! The most memorable was the cold soba noodles, spicy tuna crispy rice of course and the Szechuan yellowtail appetizer. The staff was incredibly accommodating and always around to take orders and make sure we were well taken care of. Had a blast and ate delicious food what more can you ask for??
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely $$$ but worth every dollar.
Whenever I am back in NYC, this place will be on my list. Do make a reservation if you can. The place is pretty small and fills up quick. Inside, it is pretty dim with mostly votive candles lit on the tables. Would be a perfect date spot. Restaurant is not too loud, but due to the tight quarters, it feels like it. Tables are very close together. Not a place for private conversations. But still, one of the top restaurants for me in NYC.
