Must breakfast:brunch stop
A must visit while in the area. Had breakfast here twice and everything was great. Portions are very big. Their donuts are delicious
Be the first to ReplySolid Sunday Brunch Meal
We stayed at Carneros resort for a long weekend. After eating breakfast at the Hilltop Restaurant twice, we were ready for a change. There were four of us. We ordered Chicken and Waffles, Omelet with Bacon and Onions, BLT with a Fried Egg, and the Corn Beef Hash. My chicken was a little too fried/crispy but the waffle was delicious, the omelet was good, not great. The BLT was good and the fried egg made it excellent. Finally, the corned beef has was delicious. We sat at the bar and the service was attentive and good. Nice experience in a beautiful location.

Great service, incredible food! Must try their hashbrown, religious experience! Their griddle cakes made me giggle like a kid. I recommend Boon Fly all hearthedly!!!
Be the first to ReplyClose, but not quite
Good idea, poor execution. The portions are beyond huge, something that should be more explicitly stated on the menu. A wedge salad is enough for a meal. The fried chicken was not completely cooked thru on the thigh piece and overcooked on the breast and wing. The taste was there on every dish, just not followed through.

Fun little restaurant on the way from Napa to Sonoma. Great breakfast and super service. Exceptional pancakes with fresh fruit and warm syrup. Bacon side was delicious. Excellent toast made from wonderful sourdough bread. Definitely worth the drive!
Be the first to ReplyLast stop in Napa
Last stop in our wonderful trip to Napa on the way to SFO. A bit of a wait but so worth staying! Food was excellent! We started with the breakfast donuts (highly recommend). Each of the 4 of us had something different (BLT with egg, chicken and waffles, breakfast burrito, breakfast flatbread) and enjoyed our plates! Julieta was our adorable server and she was super friendly (I give her this compliment as we’re from the friendly state of Texas)! On our next trip to Napa, we will be returning, maybe a weekday to avoid the long wait.
Be the first to ReplyMushroom Bolognese
A very small restaurant in Napa. The online menu had more offerings than the actual one. My husband is not a very adventurous eater but fortunately they had fried chicken on the menu. They give you a humongous portion of fried chicken with mashed potatoes and greens. I had the mushroom bolognese. Amazing!! So good!! I’d go back and get it again. It’s a fun place that I’d highly recommend.

Real good food in an authentic rustic farm setting. Perfect service - what's more for breakfast. Recommended. Excellent dinner at the sister restaurant..

Went before 8am and put in our name for a noon reservation. Really terrific breakfast. Highly recommend

We have driven by this place for years, and each time we said, next time. Finally we got to enjoy the lovely service by Luis A, the soaring ceilings with plenty of light, the chicken and waffle as well as the smoked salmon flatbread. I would come back here for sure!
Be the first to ReplyGreat breakfast spot!
We were staying next door at Carneros and enjoyed breakfast here three days in a row! Each time we tried a different item, all were delicious. Everything is fresh and delicious, service is excellent! Come early to avoid a wait on the weekend!
Be the first to ReplyParking Problems
My wife and I live in Napa and have had dinner here several times. They have now blocked off the parking near the restaurant causing a problem with the parking. It is still an excellent place to go for good casual fine dining.

This place was a great brunch stop. As soon was we walked through the door we were greeted by a friendly staff member. The food was fresh and tasted great…
Be the first to ReplyGood food in Napa!!!!
food was great with a touch of Southern style!! Be sure to order the shrimp grits … delish!!!! And, the strawberry rhubarb empanada!!! Be sure to ask for Amy!!! Fun place when visiting Napa on a budget!!!

The rudest staff I’ve ever encountered. The hostess and the bartender had absolutely zero hospitality sincerity. I will never ever EVER go back there. Management needs to be fired if this is the culture there. Extremely disappointed

The 1.5 hour wait was well worth it. As a smaller venue we anticipated a wait. They provided pastries and coffee and enjoyed some fresh California air while waiting. Once we were served things moved quickly. The food was outstanding, service was as expected, and our meal was plentiful to hold us for the rest of the day. Highly recommend this spot if you are not in a hurry and want to start you day right.

Wonderful spur of the moment pick for breakfast. The staff greeted us so warmly and we’re very attentive. We had a short wait but the waiting area was delightful. Once seated, the experience was even better. Flat break and breakfast burrito were incredible. The donuts are also a must try!
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely Wonderful Meal!!
Our dinner and service were all outstanding. The servers were engaging and attentive as six of us thoroughly enjoyed fried chicken with collards and smashed mashed potatoes, perfectly seared NY strip, flavor packing wedge salad, and a scrumptious kobe bacon burger. The bacon old fashioned’s drinks were a hit! We ended our evening inhaling the burnt cheesecake and boon fly donuts. This was a wonderful meal!!

Fantastic breakfast spot! My husband and I shared the doughnuts, which were excellent! My husband had the corned beef hash. I had an egg white omelet. Both were very good. Portions were large and service was good. Would have gone back a second time if we could have.
Be the first to ReplyRubbery omelette
I ordered a simple ham and cheese omelette. When it arrived my husband and I were surprised that the eggs looked almost lemon yellow, and it was quite rubbery. Just awful.
Be the first to ReplyThere is some fun eating to be had here! Even a swing!
After all this time, I did not pass the red barn looking complex on Sonoma Hwy just off of the Hwy 121 going toward Sonoma. There is ample parking, you'll see.
I stopped to explore and found a wonderful group of people cooking and serving at the Boon Fly Cafe! I seated at a spot I could see the comings and goings of this happy team as they go about taking and filling food orders with a smile! There a full bar, and homemade tiny donuts, as well as, a wonderful menu from breakfast to dinner. Gluten free on request- They are open from 7am-9pm Dinner from 4pm-9pm Wheelchair accessible. Please mask up and social distance.
Make reservations for Thanksgiving Dinner! A very positive place to have a good meal.
Great breakfast atmosphere
Came here for breakfast and they got us in faster than the estimated wait time. The food was great and the service was great. It is a bit pricey but worth trying.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing. Delicious. 10/10 service.
Cannot say enough great things! We ate breakfast here, coffee and iced tea were great. Everyone working was so pleasant and lovely. I had the vegetarian burger which I made into a breakfast burger by adding an egg and hash browns - so.dang.good. My SO had the breakfast burrito which I didn’t try (pork) but he said it was amazing! Would be a perfect stop before wine tasting in Napa!
Be the first to ReplyPhenomenal breakfast
We were looking for a good breakfast while staying in Napa and Boon Fly kept popping up on lists so we decided to give it a try. I had the Boon Fly Benedict and it was nothing short of amazing- the Jalapeno Hollandaise was unique and well executed. The service was also reminiscent of dinner -far from what you usually get for breakfast and we loved it;
Be the first to ReplyGet the warm artichoke dip
For our first night in Napa, we made ressos (for 6 people) at Boon Fly for 8 pm on a Thursday. It was a late dinner (and I believe they close at 9) so there was probably only another table dining there at the time. Still, we felt welcomed and the service was great. I wish I could remember our waitress's name because she was super nice. We decided to order a bunch of dishes to share. This was probably too much food for six people but we like to eat.
Butter Lettuce Salad (pickled beets, cucumber, feta, toasted sunflower seeds, white balsamic vinaigrette) - it's just a salad but it was the start of a 3-day bach weekend so we already knew we weren't going to be eating healthy, hence the salad
Caesar Salad (roasted red onions, chopped romaine, shaved parmesan, croutons) - same with this one. Plus, you can't go wrong with a Caesar salad
Southern Fried Calamari (grilled lemon, chipotle aioli) - bit too oily for me
Crispy Truffle Fries - not much truffle flavor but any fries are better than no fries
Warm Artichoke Dip (roasted poblano peppers, toasted pita chips) - this was probably my favorite, which I was not expecting. It is a bit decadent but I guess that's the best part. I actually started dipping the crispy truffle fries in it as opposed to the pita bread, and it was a match made in heaven. We ate some of the leftover the next day and it was just as good after a trip to the microwave, as it was the night before
Margherita Pizza (san marzano tomato sauce, mozzarella, basil) - another classic that you can't go wrong with
Mac 'n' Cheese - a little bland and tasted like it was microwaved because the pasta was kind of soggy
Smashed Yukon Gold Potatoes - nice and buttery/creamy. Again, it was rich but worth the splurge of calories
Roasted Asparagus, Lemon Oil, Parmesan - I don't like asparagus but I like this. The asparagus was perfectly cooked and the lemon and parmesan paired well together
Big Glory Bay King Salmon (black eyed peas, charred fennel, snap peas, salmon roe, lemon vinaigrette) - salmon was perfectly cooked and was flavorful
Seared 10oz New York Steak (green garlic crema, tostones, cipollini onions, asparagus, bordelaise) - I really liked the green garlic crema but unfortunately, the steak was chewy, even though it was medium rare
Fried Donuts - we were told that these sometimes sell out during brunch and I can see why. I am not really a fan of sweets but can see how these can be addicting. They're the perfect mini size, and they're not overly sweet
For drinks, I had the Watermelon Martini, which I didn't love but I did appreciate the fact that it wasn't too sweet. Plus, all of the cocktails are presented very well and are really pretty!
Overall, I would say I probably liked half the dishes we got. But I still have dreams of the artichoke dip.
