Had their special of the day from the blackboard: Gnudi
Had their special of the day from the blackboard: Gnudi with shaved truffles, ($70). The ceremony of the truffle VIPA arriving in a red box with a humidity gauge on it's side, escorted by 2 servers, was humorous. But at least they didn't get stingy with it; they shave enough for the 5 pieces of Gnudi. Bread was good, but truthfully, I've had some far better ones from a French Bakery in Berkeley. Roasted Beet Salad was good, but, again, was it "wow" caliber that I was expecting from a single-star Michelin restaurant? For me, it didn't meet my expectation. Service was good however.
Be the first to Replythe lobster should always be the best one.
the oyster are not recommend anymore. It is fresh though but too salty for me( personally. It is not necessary to get a platinum just order half lobster depends on how many people. For appetizer I would recommend the devil egg and the smoked salmon. Both of them taste very interesting. For main course I prefer the lamb. It is juice compared to the chicken and if you choose the steak instead just remember make the truffle fries! If you want a Chardonnay with your meal for a price range 300-400 I would recommend William Fèvre. 2021 have the most interesting taste when compare to 2016 2018.

the food was very good, close to the finest we 3 ever had but not quite a perfecto 10. the salade d'endives was nice and we splurged on the roti d' entrecote ribeye for $185, my sense is that it might've been had at another steak joint for 50% that price and i prob would've thought that was still pricey... but this is supposed to be fine fine french dining, oui? we did get some sides to go with - sauteed spinach/epinards, shrooms, and champignons de paris/caulflowers - all pretty decent and not cheap, but again - fffd, oui? i liked their table bread free of charge and had some leftover to bring back to the crib. lastly, we succumbed/porked out on a lemon cake for dessert. total damage? - almost $340... bring the gold amex if you go, and you should because yolo/yodo... btw, our server bsapp was very nice and took some pix for us and with us, oui oui!!!
Be the first to ReplyBest experience in Yountville, from beginning to end.
Arrived early, sat at bar, enjoyed a tasty Negroni. Ate everything at lunch, tons of amazing food. Didn't take a lot of pictures in Yountville, because social media people are really ruining the dining experience...subtle pic of my food is one thing, but it's like a photo shoot in some of these places.
Be the first to ReplyWe had high expectations.
Our service was excellent but the food was just ok. The short rib was my favorite.
Be the first to ReplyI love this bakery.
They have wonderful pastries and bread. I have yet to try a sandwich from them. I love their chai tea as well. They have really good service. It may be a wait depending on the time of day but really worth it.
Be the first to ReplyDivine dining experience! After a less than good
Divine dining experience! After a less than good experience for a Sunday breakfast a few months ago, I hesitatingly made dinner reservations for a Saturday evening. Off-the-charts experience, French onion soup, steak frites, and the vanilla creme brulee were beyond delicious. Service was attentive, and we were able to enjoy our dinner and not feel rushed. Thanks for a special evening!

Sadly I was not impressed by bouchon bistro. (The bakery on the other hand is amazing). The biggest issue for me was the fact that they packed us in. I got so claustrophobic I had to leave part way through the meal (friends paid). The sat us and pushed the table all the way up to our stomachs. Feet were crammed back and people on both sides. It's was insane. Then the food came. Salad was great, soup was ok...service was ok...gnocchi was the saddest thing ever. Seriously bad. Bread was wonderful. Cocktails were good...also...that is no escargot. Wouldn't go back. If they opened up the space a bit maybe I wouldn't be so cranky about the subpar food.
Be the first to ReplyWe came here for a nice Mother's Day treat.
We didn't have a reservation but were lucky enough to wait a bit and get seated at a table. It was very busy, and the space is quite compact. Since this is a pretty pricey and well known spot, we were definitely expecting a top tier experience. My family and I all ordered different dishes to get a good sample of the menu, and the food was beautiful and delicious. Unfortunately our experience was ruined when my brother went to ask where the restroom was to a passing waiter and instead of giving him a direction, responded with "I'm not your waiter" in an unhelpful and dismissive tone. We understand that the waiters are very busy, but we believe this isn't a professional way interact with guests just looking for a restroom. We did end up bringing this up to our waiter and host who apologized for the interaction. While the ambiance and food provided a pretty good experience overall, it's a bit difficult to overlook the service.

Mmmm so we were bummed that French Laundry was so hard to get into but enthusiastic that chef Thomas Keller has another restaurant right there- Bouchon. Everything was delicious! The waiter's recommendations were spot on and we honed in our newly Napa acquired wine appreciation skills to pair our wine perfectly. Definitely a must eat place!!!
Be the first to ReplyFun spot to have a meal while in the Napa Valley.
A Thomas Keller fresh bistro. Indoor and outdoor seating. Nice bar area. If you can't get in for a meal, eat somewhere else nearby and stop in for dessert and after dinner drinks.Friendly staff, delicious food and all around great atmosphere!

By far the best ham and cheese sandwich- peanut butter cookie my husband loved, we got a few different desserts to try . My family and I also stop by here every time we are in Napa , food is worth the long lines .

I'm so glad we had a chance to enjoy this wonderful restaurant. The food was amazing and the staff was very friendly.
Be the first to ReplyMy niece and I had lunch here today.
We live close by and have been dining at Bouchon for the past twenty years but haven't eaten there for the last 3 or so years. It was a sunny day and we were seated outdoors. Our servers were prompt, friendly, and attentive.I ordered the quiche special with a little salad. The quiche was tasty but a little under done for my taste . The salad was very salty. The French onion soup was not as good as I remember it. The taste average, there weren't many onions in it and the broth wasn't the best. My niece loved the mussels but I didn't care for the Dijon and saffron sauce. The pianoforte was good. The bread was still amazing. The desserts were delicious, crème brûlée and hazelnut chocolate chip ice cream. The ambience. Is peaceful and relaxing, nice for tourists and locals.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic food.
I would not get the steak and fritz again. But the French onion soup was very delicious.

Bouchon restaurant in Yountville, Napa Valley is an absolute gem that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. From the moment you step inside, you are transported to a cozy, charming bistro in the heart of France. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a rustic decor that makes you feel right at home. But it's not just the cozy atmosphere that makes Bouchon a must-visit destination - the food is absolutely delicious. From the perfectly cooked steak frites to the heavenly escargots, each dish is a true masterpiece that is expertly crafted with the finest ingredients. But the standout dish, in my opinion, is the confit de canard. This dish is simply incredible - the duck is cooked to perfection and the skin is crispy and flavorful, while the meat is tender and juicy. It's no wonder that this dish is one of Bouchon's most popular menu items - it's truly a culinary masterpiece. The service at Bouchon is also exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff that go out of their way to ensure that your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. They are always ready to offer recommendations and answer any questions you may have.Overall, I would highly recommend Bouchon restaurant in Yountville, Napa Valley to anyone looking for a cozy and delicious dining experience. Whether you're in the mood for a classic French dish or something new and innovative, Bouchon has something for everyone. And of course, don't forget to try the confit de canard - it's truly the best I've ever had!

Bouchon Bistro is a local favorite French bistro and internationally reknown. The fact that I can walk down the street and grab a seat at the bar is just a simple pleasure that I relish. The staff is as professional as they come and most accommodating. They're well versed in all parts of the menu. This time my visiting friend and I opted for the salad with goat cheese and roast chicken which is succulent. And don't forget about the famous EPI bread that is made next door at the bakery. I highly recommend for a casual or a romantic visit. The staff is A-1 professional and many have been there for well over a decade. A Chef Thomas Keller restaurant, please note.

My girls and I were walking around Yountville figuring out where to eat and Bouchon Bistro did not disappoint! Absolutely loved the look of this restaurant. It could be a bit crowded with the tables sitting so close to each other, but it wasn't a problem with us. We were given complimentary bread made from their bakery and pistachios on the side. Their bread was warm and fresh with light fluffy butter. I ordered the Tartare de Boeuf which I heavenly enjoyed. I enjoyed how they added the pickle and radish. I'd say it added more of a tang to compliment the tartare. Tasted the Saumon Poele and Croque Madame and I'll say that the Croque Madame was everything you could ask for in a ham sandwich. It also came with half a plate of fries! In my opinion, I think the Saumon Poele could have been seasoned more generously, especially partnered with the lentils, I'd think it could have used a bit more flavor. Not pictured is the Lillet + Lime cocktail. It was a refreshing citrus drink. Overall, I was pleased with the staff, atmosphere, and of course the food.

We were in Yountville for 2 days and had reservations at Bouchon for dinner right when we got into town...it was such a lovely meal that we did a walk-in the next day for lunch. The bread and butter is perfection in its simplicity. The braised brisket dish with potato purée was velvety and luscious - we couldn't resist having it for both meals. The oysters were so incredibly fresh and the wine offerings were excellent. The atmosphere was quite lively and seating was a bit tight - but, understandably so. Can't wait to visit again!

It was really top notch service. The champagne and pnw oysters were phenomenal. Great energetic vibe, would love to come back. Really exceptional service and food! I'll day dream about this till I return.

Dear Chef Keller,I would like to tell you about our dining experience this past Feb. 5 at the restaurant Bouchon. It was my birthday, and we were looking forward to a celebratory meal at your highly-rated restaurant. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed, not only by the service but the quality of the food. To start, I was served an extremely salty salad, followed by my main course - an even salter brisket dish. Please know that I rarely complain about restaurant food, but I could not eat this dish. From here - our waiter returned and said, "they would be willing to replace it with a steak." Guess what? The steak was salty too, but much more expensive than my original dish.Isn't it the server's responsibility to let you know if there's a considerable upcharge on a change for your meal? However, what transpired next was the most upsetting part of our experience at Bouchon. Somewhere in the middle of the meal, we told our server that he had forgotten my appetizer. Acting very upset, he said that he would make it up to us and "set us up with a wine tasting." This sounded very much like he wanted to comp us for his mistake, but when the bill came, we saw he charged us $120 for the wine! If a server tells you he will make something up to you, isn't it dishonest to charge the customer? After everything was said and done, I found your server's deception during our meal most upsetting. My husband and I have traveled the world and eaten in countless restaurants. Restaurant Bouchon will stand out in our memory - but unfortunately, not for a good reason.

This was our highlight of our Napa weekend! Started the night with a couple of "Fireside Chat" cocktails which is very close to an Old Fashion with a sweeter twist, which is perfect for my wife. She really enjoyed it. We had a late night reservation and the place was packed but they were able to get us in a little early: 8:30 PM instead of 9:00 PM. First of all, the service is amazing. Our bartenders were so fantastic and it only got better as the night went on. Bsapp, our waiter was so great with suggestions and friendly, he really wanted to make this a memorable night for us; and it was. He suggested the crispy pig ears and they were so good. We took a couple home because we had so much food and he said they would be better the next morning; he was not lying!!! I had the onion soup, which is a favorite of mine and as expected, it was perfect. My wife had the brisket and she was so happy with her choice. I had the mussels and fries, what a huge portion and the buttery sauce was so good. My wife had me taste her mashed potatoes with truffles and wow, amazing. Just amazing!I really want to thank Bsapp for making our night so memorable!!!!

Great food, beautiful decor, and fantastic service!
Be the first to ReplyTheir food is always good and consistent.
I usually go to the one in Vegas and this was my first time visiting this location. My only complaint was that the tables were so close to each other so you have absolutely no privacy. Besides that you'll enjoy the food, service and overall ambiance.
