Boulevard Restaurant Manama Reviews from The Last Year
Excellent service, ambiance, and food.
A unique menu of Hawaiian fusion cuisine that puts a twist on the use of rice, spam , and tuna among many other exciting combinations. A great experience!!
Wonderful Hawaii Asian fusion.
.. Had uni on crispy rice Caprese Chinese salad Hokkaido scallop Yuzu cheese cake And yuzu sorbet Lovely service Will definitely go again!!
Yummy food and super cute inside.
We went for a girls night and it was absolutely perfect. Definitely recommend!
We loved Malama Pono.
This was our first time here and everything we tried was great. It was nice to have so many good options when ordering, and we chose the garlic naan, spicy tuna crispy rice, and tempura cauliflower as starters. The flavors were all on point and everything was shareable. I would say to grab more than one order if you're sharing and love something because they'll get devoured quickly. I ordered the horseradish crusted mahi mahi and found it delicious, uniquely prepared, and beautiful in presentation. By uniquely prepared, I mean that Malama Pono has chosen unique flavorful combinations one may not think to try, but the ingredients work well together and compliment the fish perfectly. My wife felt the same about the seared ahi, and our friends were pleased with the red snapper. I'd have taken some pictures, but the restaurant is dark and no one wants to be the "phone flash guy" in a dark restaurant. We also really enjoyed the house Pinot Grigio, but the other mixed drinks didn't really appeal to me, and seemed to be pretty sweet based on the ingredients. Malama Pono is a unique restaurant with very nice staff, and delicious, fresh, beautiful, and affordably priced food. I'd love to come back and try some of the other menu items. Highly recommend.
This hawaiian food is real creative and real tasty.
Perfect for a date night and the yuzu aguachile is the way to go. Id stay with the fish here.
Such a great night last night.
Hard to say what's better - the inventive, worldly, awesome food, or the warmth of service that makes you feel like being welcomed into your extended family's home. We were with a group of four, so we were luckily able to try a number of dishes, and there was not a single weak one among them. The Crispy Rice (various toppings) was unlike that at any other restaurant - perfectly crispy exterior, with the interior being impossibly creamy, delicate and bordering on liquid-like. So good that we ordered quadruple servings. (we were initially disappointed that they were out of the Uni crispy rice, but the deliciousness of the other versions absolutely made up for it). Other standout dishes - the aguachile, mahi mahi (pineapple beurre blanc!!), fried chicken, the yuzu cheesecake. We tried several cocktails which were beautiful, inventive, and tasty, although for our table's palate, sweeter than we would have preferred, so next time we will ask them to boost the tart components and dial back the sweet ones (we would say the same about the Yuzu sorbet - inventive and delicious, but sweeter than we would have preferred). Or - just choose something from the diverse and worldly wine and beer selection (amazingly numerous for a restaurant of this size). Overall we also found the pricing to be super reasonable for food/drink of this level. One note - although the restaurant's description says Hawaiian (and there are number of Hawaiian or Hawaiian-influenced dishes on the menu), there equal number of dishes from all over the world - India, Spain, Italy, Latin America - even southwest US shrimp and grits. Truly a world tour that somehow comes together and makes sense when it's all on the table in front of you. Also a kudos to the designers of the room - this is a fairly small place, and there are a lot of tables they've managed to fit in, yet somehow (unlike many similar places) they've found the magical right amount of space between each table so you don't feel on top of your neighbor. Can't wait to go back (wish we were going back tonight) - this team really is brining the Malama Pono. Thanks for the great experience.
Fantastic food and drinks.
Darren was attentive and offered on point recommendations!! Dark, moody and cozy. We will be back.

We had a reservation but when we arrived they said they were overbooked. I'll never go back to this "wanna-be Aloha" ambiance!

A six star is warranted here! We are so lucky to have Mālama Pono in Sherman Oaks. Hands down, it is my favorite restaurant in SO and it always aims to please. For the three years I have been dinning here, it is hands down excellent in service and food. It is heart warming to see the same servers over the years provide attentive and excellent service for guests. The food is consistently excellent! I have never had an average meal here. My top three absolute favorites are the Uni Crispy Rice, Cauliflower Tempura, and Saffron Seafood Dumplings. These are a must!
Mixed feelings.
Patatas bravas and the yuzu aguachilie are superb. Sangria is also excellent. Vibe is dark and busy but not so busy you're crammed, and service is good, attentive without being smothering. Not all the menu items were as good, some of the beef in particular (on the Hawaiian mixed grill) was just okay; not that it was bad, but compared to the stand-outs it felt all the more ordinary. And parking, if you don't valet, is a pain. 3.5 stars, but rounding up seems more fair.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
