I've been here before for happy hour and dinner but recently had the chance to try their breakfast. The avocado tartine was fantastic. Great coffee too.

Staying in downtown Miami over the weekend we wanted a classy restaurant to end 2023. We were able to find a table for two tucked away in a corner. The ambiance is very nice, classy with the staff as friendly as ever. Our server approached us with cocktail options and we chose our usual old fashioned and wine. At 8pm the place was quiet but you can sense that would change. Lamb Meatballs for appetizer. Five (5) small balls covered in a soft spicy sauce accompanied with focaccia bread. At first I thought, that's it? But, the portion was perfect. The tenderness of the lamb with a small kick of spice was a great way to start off dinner. Our server sold us on the Dover Sole for two, prepared table side. Took a little bit, but the GM arrived with a table presented us a cooked fish and started the deboning process. In a matter of seconds, the fish was completely fileted, out came the bones and we were presented with a delicate and tasty fish. Definitely worth it. For dessert, something light was presented off the menu that featured pistachio ice cream. Overall, the place was good and would recommend for a nice dinner for two.

Came here with family the other evening and had a wonderful time! Loved the classy ambiance, and great location right by the river. We had already eaten a bit before coming, but that didn't stop us from trying quite a few dishes! Grilled Calamari - really enjoyed the sauce with this dish! Also perfect texture of the calamari itself - chewy; but not tough. Tuna Tartare - truffle, with tuna? I'm sold! This was possibly my favorite dish of the night; perfectly balanced between the tuna and the truffle flavors. Mezze Platter - this was a lot of food, actually! I enjoyed all of the dips; surprisingly, my favorite may have been the muhammara. Super tasty! Seafood Malfaldine - A bit spicy but not too spicy (so perfect for me)! I also love the texture of Malfaldine pasta so I always get it when I see it! Great mix of seafood mixed in, too.
Be the first to ReplyI got a smoothie and a parfait.
I enjoyed the smoothie and the parfait, except for this really sweet fruit jelly stuff in the middle. The service was pretty slow. The ambiance was bright and beautiful! Good brunch vibes. This place is really pricey for what you get, so I wouldn't choose it if we didn't have credit from the hotel to use.
Be the first to ReplyFood was ok.
Service was good at first and then went down hill. Ignored for 40 min. The place was very empty and lots of service people. Place looks cool and drinks were awesome.

Absolute 10/10! The prestige of Boulud Sud is everything aesthetic that a girl could wish for. Embedded in the gorgeous JW Marquis Marriott Hotel, my friend and I stopped by here for dinner after checking into the hotel and getting our bags settled in the room. When you walk into the entrance way, what really stands out is the decor. It's beautiful, modern, chic with somewhat of a bohemian vibe with basket lounge chairs spread out. The host sat us down and our waiter was with us within a minute of seating, so very prompt. He was really interactive with us, giving us great recommendations and was cherry. My friend and I had a great time - I docked one star because my first cocktail that came out had a dead fly in it! When I brought it up to the waiter, he was very accommodating but tried to insinuate that it couldn't have been from the bartender lol the bartender made the drink so......where else could it have come from? Either way he replaced the drink so no problem, but I had noticed halfway through my initial drink so there's that. I say all that to say, it's an amazing restaurant! While staying at the hotel, they serve breakfast-dinner and can be ordered for room service. All in all, great experience with them.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was excellent, very authentic Mediterranean tapas.
Everything we had was so good! The ambiance was quiet suited mostly for business dinners or dates that you'd like to talk and hear eachother. The service was excellent, very attentive. Overall would recommend
Be the first to ReplyI've been here mainly for drinks.
The bar /lounge area is cozy and also bar bites. The service is great. It's attached to the JW Marriot so you get a lot of out of towners. Overall good place for cocktails and bites.
Be the first to ReplyI came here for Miami Spice 2023, and I would highly
I came here for Miami Spice 2023, and I would highly recommend this restaurant for Miami Spice! - Oysters topped with caviar: not a big fan of oysters so I guess it tasted good? I can't tell the difference between good and bad oysters so take that with a grain of salt - Seared scallops: The playing was super cute and the scallop was delicious. I just wish the portion size was bigger since my friend got the lamb meatballs and got three large meatballs. - New york strip steak (medium rare): DELICIOUS I'm pretty picky about my steak and was utterly ecstatic to have a good piece of steak. There was a bordelaise sauce which brought the whole dish of meat and veggies together. Normally I hesitate with wine based sauces since I don't like the taste of wine but they balanced the sauce well so there was no jarring wine flavor. - Fresh focaccia with olive oil: Give me a cup of olive oil and a loaf of this bread and I could just make a meal of them. One of my favorite parts of high end restaurants are the fresh bread and high quality olive oil and Boulud Sud definitely lives up to it. - Chocolate coupe: I'm a mousse girly and this made me very happy, especially with the crunchy layer on the bottom. The different layers added contrast, and it wasn't heavy so I felt just the right amount of fullness at the end of my meal. The service was fantastic and my server was very attentive and sweet. Boulud Sud Miami Spice was definitely a great deal. I would have to come back again to try the full menu to see how I feel about it.

Great service and food was good, but the portions are extremely small. The ambiance is nice too. I enjoyed my dinner there.
Be the first to ReplyAttentive service in nicely decorated space.
The food and mixed drinks were underwhelming. This was for executive lunch, mixed drinks, and steak and side.
Be the first to ReplyAlways a nice place for a good late lunch/ early dinner.
Food is tasty and well presented, service a little slow. The bar area is a very comfy space to have your dinner and less noisy than the main saloon.

We dined in here a couple of times and also got a room service (needed to pick up in person). Every single experience was fantastic. Although the frier was out of service during our stay but that didn't bother us at all. We happened to order nothing fried. Some highlights. The guava caipirinha was delicious. So tropical, refreshing, and mouthwatering. The charcuterie was irresistible. There was a lot of meat for 2 with other apps. I kept coming back to the board til dessert was ready to served. The dover sole special was delicate. Same were the scallops. The dishes were simply beautiful and flavorful. We initially ordered one reindeer which was a special mousse cake for the holidays. Once we tasted it we gotta order another one. Yelp is reminding me to review ambiance. The dinning hall was modern and elegant. Yet very comfortable and cozy to have our Christmas Eve dinner here. Agh almost forgot the waffles from breakfast. I had it twice in a row. It was just that good.

Amazing experience, service from Genevieve and Jasmine in the lounge exceeded expectations along with the food and ambiance. Being familiar with Daniel in NYC, the Miami location did not disappoint.... Highly recommend in general as well as the happy hour. Try the tuna tartare, Gambas, Duck Empanadas and the Wednesday Tapas.

When we travel, we always try to eat at one Mediterranean restaurant. (My husbands favorite). tonight we chose @bouludsudmiami . Everything was delicious! My only wish, was that the Branzino was bigger!!The seating is an open setting, with tables pretty close together- however it still had a date night feel. Shrimp appetizer was a good yummy portion. Lamb chops were delicious. The only reason I gave 4 stars was portion of fish. It was small for a full Branzino- but delicious!!!
Be the first to ReplyI just had the absolute best time at Boulud Sun Miami.
From the food to the service the ambiance, all top notch. The hubby and I partook in the bar area of Boulud this evening and we had the best mixologist/servers in Jasmine and Robert. They provided excellent service to us this evening. We are here in Miami for a cruise, which brought us to the JW Marriott Marquis for an overnight stay. Which in turn brought us to Boulud Sun Miami for cocktails and light bites. I had the Caymus Petit Syrah and the hubs had the Mojito Royale, both excellent. Robert and Jasmine were our server/mixologist for the evening and the service they provided was top notch. For our light bites, we had the mergherita pizza and the Gambas, both superb. My husband like the pizza so much he ordered it again. It was really good. I would certainly recommend for a fun evening with great food and drinks.
Be the first to ReplyI have a theory on Michelin Star Chiefs.
.. they're food just isn't that great. There's this overdone'ness to it, a sits on your heart & stomach, type feeling your left with. The quality of the food is of course almost always top notch, well at least most of the time, some of the steak cuts I've found can be a little less high end than you'd expect for the price. But really then, your just buying the name. It's a brand sticker on polyester, instead of supima cotton type deal (sorry for the weird fabric quality analogy comparison) but, that's just it. Now Boulud Sud isn't bad in any fashion, it's good, middle of the pack. The ambience is beautifully wonderful and the waiting staff is phenomenal, some of the best costumer service at a restaurant I've experienced, but the food, overrated and slightly overpriced. So do yourself a favor. Next time you see a Michelin star chiefs name hanging over the entrance of a restaurant, proceed with caution So why the 4 stars instead of a 3? Only because of the service and the ambiance. If we're rating the food alone on its own merit then for sure a 3 star review
Be the first to ReplyIt was a nice experience.
The Tapas-style appetizers were better than the entrees, but both were good. The fried artichokes and lamb flat bread are highly recommended. I got the grouper which was very nicely done and portioned. Service was good, but a smile goes a long way, especially as a bartender.

Took me a while to write this review but finally had to let others know how disappointing this restaurant is ...first of all I think they probably have a lot of paid reviews because our experience was definitely not worth talking about to anyone to bragI'm such a foodie and it's shocking because this place it's not cheap ,for the price they are charging their food/drinks they should step it up First of all when we got to the restaurant it was empty like a ghost town , there was probably another table eating on the other side of the restaurant , the decor is ok we sat on a booth/table nothing special. So service was very very slow we didn't had idea why because we were the only ones eating there so it took ages for us to get our food and drinks The drinks are below average, the cocktail selection they had was super basic I basically got a Fanta with gin , not worth the price and super watered down The appetizers were such a let down , $60 for a charcuterie board that doesn't even have cheese and looks like it costs $15 to buy at the grocery/wine store (ridiculous) The salads were a joke My duck was barely warm and food portions are super small we had to order 3 extra sides on top of our main courses , unfortunately all the dishes were the same bland and overpriced.Potatoes (my favorite) were super bad as well I don't know how they were able to mess that up , the fish was the only thing that got the pass for the night The side salad it's $16 just for a cubed cucumber, tomato and lemon so let that sink in ...The dessert was not tasty and it was recommended by our server as the most delicious one from the menu Overall I would never recommend anyone to come to this restaurant and spend any of their money here Such a waste of time as well , the restaurant it's super empty but somehow takes forever to bring the food or it comes cold.

10/10 in terms of service and food (even takeout). Literally the most delicious lamb chops, tuna tartare, charcuterie on par with France, Ibรฉrico on par with Spain, madeleines and the zucchini fritters!!! I'm a die hard Michelin follower and would dine here every day. Shout out to the manager and rest of the staff for being so accommodating and turning my day around!

Robert and the bar staff were great to talk to and provided outstanding recommendations.
Be the first to ReplyI went to the Friday evening wine tasting at Boulud Sud
I went to the Friday evening wine tasting at Boulud Sud last evening. Their wine tastings are amazing. You get to taste 5 excellent wines that are paired with five delicious dishes. The first wine was a Pikes dry riesling from Australia. I normally consider rieslings too sweet and don't like them. But this wine was dry and light. It was paired with Sardinas en Escabeche and they were very good. The second pairing was a South African Bon Valion Chardonnay. This was served with a Soda Verde de Elote. The soup was delicious and the wine went very well with it. Another South African wine was served after the Chardonnay, a "Rust en Verde" Cabernet Sauvignon which I thoroughly enjoyed. This was paired with "Escalivada Catalana", roasted vegetables Catalan style. Also a very nice pairing. My favorite wine of the evening was served next, an Alpha M Montes from Chile. It was paired with an amazing Duck Confit with butternut squash. Duck has never been my favorite item on the menu, but this duck confit was amazing. For the last pairing we had a lamb chop with mint Aioli paired with a Dominio del Plata Brioso from Argentina. This was another good combination. For $45 this wine tasting is a nice way to treat yourself on a Friday evening.

Nice place, I ate in the bar area which had more atmosphere than the regular dining area. The food was good but not outstanding. It missed some herbs and spices for my taste. The shrimps al olio appetizer should have more garlic for example. Dessert was good, had a chocolate hazel nut bar.The white house wine (Chardonnay) was very tasty and during happy hour great value for the price. Also I enjoyed service there. And even though they made a little mistake, it was handled perfectly.
