Be the first to ReplyAmazing dinner.
Staff went above and beyond for anniversary dinner. Muzaffar and the rest of the staff went above and beyond. Will definitely be back when back in town.

The food here was really good!!!! I love the complimentary fries and garlic bread it was sooooo delicious!!!!!! The menu could have been better in my opinion it was very short and selective, that's why I rate a 4 out of 5 stars but the service and food was great
Be the first to ReplyAmazing! Excellent customer service.
The food was delightful. Filet was cooked to perfection. The truffle bread was to die for. Would come back again and again.
Be the first to ReplyI'll just get straight to the point this place is over
I'll just get straight to the point this place is over priced and underwhelming. Our lamb, salmon and halibut were all under seasoned. The two steaks we ordered were not cooked to the requested temperature and after sending back you just got a super tough piece of meat. The sides were also lacking in seasoning. The whipped potatoes were bland, the lobster Mac and cheese was ok but again could've used some pepper, Brussels sprouts also lacked in flavor. We got a little mini dulce de leche cake horrible. Got a couple bags of popcorn .. burnt. Basically a complete waste of money and a very disappointing birthday dinner. Drinks were good tho!
Be the first to ReplyIt had been awhile since I had dined at Bourbon Steak.
So when a friend asked for me to make reservations for a last minute bday dinner I was happy to see that Bourbon Steak had availability on a busy Saturday night. Our server was incredibly nice and despite a few mix-ups with our order, she was extremely apologetic and so quick to remedy. She was also very thoughtful about ensuring that the bday girl had a candle on a dessert so that she could have a celebratory moment at the end of the meal. We loved the flights of complimentary truffle fries and delicious baked bread that was brought out as we waited for our appetizers. Honestly, I think we got a little too excited and filled up a bit more than intended on these. As for the food, it was not what I remembered. I ordered the octopus and it was tough and overly charred. I love octopus so much and am not too picky with it, so for me to leave any on the plate was uncommon. The lobster mac and cheese side we were sure would be a hit but found wasn't very flavorful and came out at room temperature . Also pretty rare for us to leave more than half of that uneaten and no one had any interest in taking the leftovers home. But the raw oysters and the brussel sprouts that we ordered were delicious!I'll definitely return, but this past visit was not really up to par. But like with any business, there will be ups and downs, good days, bad days and room for improvement so I'll certainly come back at a later time to check them out again.
Be the first to ReplyWhy this place doesn't have a Michelin Star, I don't know.
We've dined at six Michelin Star restaurants in the DMV, and this meets or exceeds the experience we had there.Ambiance - Beautiful! Located inside the Four Seasons Hotel in Georgetown, you pass through the lobby, ornate art pieces, and a fresh flower display before entering the restaurant. The restaurant itself was also gorgeous.Customer Service - Second to none. The chef even came out and took pictures with us. Food - I ate bone marrow, y'all! I tried it at another restaurant before and didn't care for it. Here it was fantastic. This is probably the only restaurant where I would order it because I know they're going to prepare it well. There's so much to say about each individual dish. I'll just say that all the food was fantastic.Overall, I would go back....again and again. I don't know what the requirements are to receive a Michelin Star, but this place should get one!
Be the first to ReplyI've eaten at the restaurant twice in the last few months.
I also have had two cancellations in the last few months. In December, I had a reservation for 6 people that was confirmed months in advance. I was called a day prior to be told the time did not work for the restaurant. Yesterday I received a call that my reservation in 3 days needed to be cancelled again because of a buy out of something. Both incidents required me to struggle to find another alternative. The woman who calls from the desk is rude and unhelpful and they clearly do not care about your business. Go to any other steakhouse.
Be the first to ReplyWoohoo! Our experience here was perfect.
From the complimentary, warm truffle butter rolls and duck fat fries to the oysters Rockefeller and all of the steaks... bravo! The serve was excellent. Ambiance, nice.

Service and food have definitely gone down hill from the first time I visited. Took my 2 year old daughter here to celebrate her birthday this past weekend and I guess covid took a toll on this establishment as well. The restaurant still had the same vibe but the quality of food and service definitely took a hit. I was so excited to celebrate my daughter's birthday and this was such a disappointment. We were seated in an area that was close to a door that kept getting opened and closed. Like seriously did they read my note that it was a 2 year old we were there for and to sit us that close to the door when it was like 30 degrees out. Then we get our meals and my husband's ribeye tasted burnt and the mac and cheese wasn't even as great as it was 2 years ago. The only thing my daughter loved was the fries and the aioli which we asked could we have more of to go. The waiter said he would put some in the bag for us. We were ready to go and they came to get our plates to pack our food to go. It was the longest wait for them to bring us the bill. We were literally just sitting there. The entire time we weren't asked if we wanted refills on our drinks or anything. We get home and the next day we check our to go bag and we didn't have the aioli for my daughter or the creamed spinach that we hardly touched. Like seriously!! How do you not pack up all the food we ordered? Seriously one of the worst experiences ever! Will not be returning!!!

I think the restaurant does a good job of overpricing and making a fancy facade that the restaurant is an amazing place or something. Food didn't live up to the hype. For starters, it was very dark and there was little to no lighting for the tables. I couldn't really see my friends' faces. Looked around and saw maybe like one candle but only at the really large tables. My guess for this is so the patrons cant see how tiny their food actually is. Haha.Very busy even on a Wednesday night. Our waiter took many tables and we barely saw him throughout the night. However service is good. People are kind:)There's a valet in front and you can walk straight into the hotel. Valet is about $15 I think?? We made a reservation online the day of through the Open Table. It was my birthday. They gave me a small free cake + a lighted candle. Super cute!! Really liked the service because of this.Complementary foods:Duck Fat Fries Trio (5/5)Ok, this was actually so good. I devoured this in an instant. Im surprised it's free it's literally SO tasty. would have def paid for tht if it weren't part of the complementary service!!Truffle Bread Rolls (4/5)Tasted much better years ago. Still good though. Tastes a bit like Pillsbury dough croissant or biscuit dough. Not that strong of a truffle flavor as I wanted. Still delicious and fluffy. Also free:)What we ordered:8 oz Picanha 7x Colorado (4.5/5) | $65Pretty solid steak. Pretty tasty! Idk what else to say about it, pretty good. Very soft and easy to bite into. Ordered a medium rare, couldn't check out the color because of the restaurant lighting, so can't give an accurate description if they cooked it right haha. One of the Rib-Eyes (4/5) | $80+It was still pretty good. Very chewy (personally not a fan of the rough texture). Kind of charred in certain areas, didn't like the burnt flavor in some spots. Not as good as the wagyu. It's ok for a steak. Expected a bit more from it. Basque Style Bouillabaisse (1/5) | $56Oh my goodness can't believe we had to pay up to 60 bucks on this dish. It was NOT worth it. I'm so glad this wasn't my dish because I could not eat it. The bread that came with it was inedible. It because soggy and not appetizing once in the broth. The soup part was also just not it. Had some aftertaste that left my mouth bitter. Maybe it's just the soup itself that normally tastes like that. But not for us. Truffle Mac & Cheese 3/5 $17Not gonna lie although very tasty, resembled annie's white cheddar instant mac & cheese with just some truffle oil. very thick but don't understand why it's almost $17 for a small pot of it?Trio of mushrooms 2/5 $16Too much for me. Tasted like just sautรฉed mushrooms. Not worth $16 to me. Sorry! I normally like mushrooms but didn't really enjoy this. My friend liked it though. So maybe just my taste buds.Smoked S'mores (3/5) $25 or $29 (idr)Presentation was very cool. Hazelnut ice cream on top was SO good. I didn't really like the chocolate nor the cream thing. Too thick and decadent for me. Too much chocolate in one bite. Wish there was more of the graham crust part or more ice cream. Ended up leaving it unfinished. Wish we got the pineapple dessert instead.

The expensive steak was average to below average in taste, texture, and presentation. Appetizers were pretty good. We loved the bone marrow dish. But what killed it for us and why this place gets a 1 star is the mouse we saw moving back and forth between tables. Disgusting!
Be the first to ReplyCelebrated our first wedding anniversary there last night
Celebrated our first wedding anniversary there last night and it was a fantastic experience. It was our second visit to Bourbon Steak, but it had been several years. The staff and service is fantastic; they really took care of us and helped make our anniversary special. We had to call because we were running 10-15 minutes late and they were incredibly accommodating. Our server, Aaron, is the absolute best. We had so much fun chatting with him and he really gave the best advice on wine and cocktails based on our tastes. The fries trio is truly one of the best gimmicks at any restaurant anywhere and I loved it! Other than the fries trio and the bread (amazing), We enjoyed:Oysters Tuna tartare12 oz. NY strip (perfect medium rare)Truffle Mac and CheeseSautรฉed Kale with confit garlic (seriously so delicious)Everything was delicious and spaced/timed perfectly to let us enjoy our evening and drinks without feeling rushed. Since it was our anniversary, we were treated to a glass of champagne and the smoked s'mores for dessert, both of which were thoughtful touches that made our evening that much nicer. Other than the champagne, between us we tried the Shai Time, What Do We Call It?, and the Kintsugi (Cherry Blossom inspired special - one of the best cocktails I've ever had and I am absolutely not a whisky drinker). Wine wise, both the O.P.P. Pinot Noir and the Maldonado proprietary blend were excellent. All of these were based on Aaron's fantastic recommendations. We had a fantastic night and will definitely be back and call ahead to be in his section!
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely a 5 star here.
The Ambience, service, and experience was a pleasure. We celebrated a Marine Corps Graduation here! By the way, Obama ate here before as well as the Legendary Dr Mike Ozaki!
Be the first to ReplyThis has been my best dining experience in DC yet.
I loved how they addressed the reservation maker by name once we were stared. To start, we were given complimentary bread and a fry trio, with 3 unique dipping sauces. I ordered the 8 oz filet with grilled shrimp, truffle butter, truffle Mac and cheese, and grilled broccoli. Everything was perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. To drink, I had the apple cobbler cocktail made with Appleton rum. That was also very tasty. Since we were celebrating a birthday, our guest of hair was given a dessert, compliments of the chef. From service to food, the experience was a 10/10. Will be returning for sure.

Last week, I dined in one of their new chalets, and the whole experience was bougie AF. ย It's been a minute since I last visited Bourbon Steak, and the service was as impeccable as I remember.ย Big shoutout to James, my amazing server, for being all sorts of dope. Here's what you NEED to get when you go:-truffle rolls (INSANE)-fries (done 3 ways with 3 different dipping sauces)-any of their steaks-chicken schnitzel (delicious but SUPER rich)-THEIR DESSERTHoly moly, I can't even begin to tell you how crazy their s'mores dessert was. NEXT LEVEL, FOR REAL!!!! ย This came with toasted marshmallow ice cream, chocolate-praline mousse, and hazelnut streusel, and it may not sound compelling, but it was honestly one of the best desserts I've had in DC. And it's super instagram worthy so have your cameras ready, lol. ย I'd honestly go back for the dessert alone, lol.

Why get a steak when you can get a great burger? Obviously you can pay a lot of money and get a good steak, but you can get that at a lot of steak-centric restaurants in DC. What sets BS apart is you can get a good burger and just hang out at the bar if that's your jam. Definitely prefer the ambience of the lounge/bar to the dining room!

Best burger in the area in my opinion! Service is always great! They changed the trio fries which was a disappointment. The original seasoning was much better! Can't go wrong with the food and service here! This is def my go-to spot on a weekly basis!
Be the first to ReplyMy brother celebrated his birthday at Bourbon Steak.
With the help of Jose and Dillon I was able to coordinate a bourbon flight experience for him to enjoy. I highly recommend this establishment. With Dillon and Jose's help you will not be disappointed with the experience and service you will receive at Bourbon Steak.
Be the first to ReplyThe 2 stars are for the table fries and 3 dipping sauces.
..it's ALL downhill from there. Service- extremely slow. One would think there would be white table service due to the price point. Long wait for everything. Food- There were 5 of us. The only item ordered that was a hit was the seafood tower. Which wasn't a tower at all. I assume it was because the items were steamed/grilled. Nice presentation. Scampi tasted just ok. Oyster were ok. It was a very small selection of items. $139My lamb $72 was still alive inside even though I ordered medium. Steaks were ordered from medium rare to well done. The well done steaks had a lot of pink. Two went back for more heat. I decided to just take my lamb chop home. The sides are described as feeding 2-3 people. The tiny portions are more suited for 1-1 1/2 people. It was just a major disappointment. I expected more from a restaurant with this pricing. Will not be going back
