This was by far my favorite experience in NY.
From the service, food, and atmosphere Bowery has it all. Before our reservation started the staff reached out asking if we had any requests. I messaged back asking for a quieter table and was responded within minutes that the accommodation would be made. They were also able to seat us early even though they were booked that night. The service was incredible from the moment we entered and our server was fabulous! Answered all questions and made great recommendations. The Ricotta was brought to us complimentary! The food was delicious flavorful and excellent quality! From the salad, steak, clams and everything else all were a hit at the table. We left full, happy, and very impressed! I highly recommend this place. I look forward to coming back again on my next trip up soon!

I am so embarrassed how awful the quality of pictures are, but no regrets. We took friends out of town here and so glad we did. I haven't been back here since 2016 or so and it's even better! We ordered food and went in family style. Service was great - there was a delay in our drink selections that they brought out appetizer on the house to accompany us. Duck lasagna was so good but the lobster Mac and cheese was heavenly. We also ordered the porterhouse for two for four people and we were full that we had to skip dessert. Vibe check passes. Think this is a solid place to take friends!
Be the first to ReplyI was surprised by how good the steaks are.
The steaks are different from the butter drenched styles of Peter Lugers and Benjamin's. Its more dry aged and clean and lean tasting. I liked it but it might not be for you if you like the butter drenched versions.Appetizers and sides were all great. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is the service is painfully slow. The steaks came out about 30 mins after we finished the apps. Basically the steaks came out an hr and a half into dinner.

Classic, solid steakhouse with that old-school (meaning excellent) service but a more modern ambiance. The presentation of meats had me drooling. The bone-in ribeye was perfection (and "for one" is plenty for two average eaters). The ravioli was so soft and creamy. Ended the night with a hot gooey chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream in cast iron. Great Bowery restaurant, high praise.

.....being in the Industry one tends to have a certain amount of expectations and boy oh boy was this experience simply out of the park. When I dine solo I always do so at the Bar and from the initial greeting from Cristina the Bartender, the pace was set for a memorable time. It was all Uphill from there. The food was excellent, the broiled oysters to start were to the Max and the steak was top quality and even the kind gesture Cristina offered with the house made Ricotta while i was waiting on my steak was above and beyond and dam was it tasty. The converstaion, casual and attentive interaction in service was engaging and simply excellent. Thanks Cristina, I shall return. I hope that when management sees this they relay to Cristina as I do with our Team members, as acknowledgement is valuable to the frontline members, it will mean the world to them and validates the great effort they put in to doing an amazing job for the Company. Thanks again Bowery Meat.

Come here for a phenomenal steakhouse experience! There are so many different, delicious cuts to choose from. I got the 10oz filet mignon au poivre and it was INCREDIBLE. The steak is seasoned so well and the sauce was perfection. I finished the entire thing so fast. My friends got the ribeye and I loved theirs as well! For dessert, we got the cast iron chocolate chip cookie and WOW this may be my new fave dessert. The cookie is so warm and comes with vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle. PLEASE GET THIS. I am already missing it, wanting another.

How has it taken me so long to visit Bowery Meat Company?!? Quite possibly the finest fine-dining bacon in the United States. Brilliant service. Spectacular wine list. Over-the-top outstanding steak that sets a new bar for prime meat preparation. Run... do not walk... to Bowery Meat Company.

I'm not a huge meat guy, most know me as "the fish guy", but I would be remiss not to leave a glowing review for the Bowery Meat Company (BMC).If you've seen my other reviews, you'll know that I'm not only "the fish guy" but I'm also "the vibe guy". BMC is all about vibes - I love the mood and setting. It's really intimate and comfortable. Pretty sure a lot of celebrities come here too, so be on your best behavior. I have to make note on this because this was just amazing. There was one guy there who provided the most epic service ever. Everyone was great, but this young man was on a different level. Let me just say, if you're trapped in the Sahara desert, you will not die of thirst if you have this guy with you. Every single minute, the server would come around and refill your water. You take one sip - water is refilled to the top. Your glass never goes below 90% full. He will be there to fill you up! Sometimes you look away for one second and look back at the table and your glass is full - but the guy is nowhere in site. An absolute wizard. Give this man a raise. For the food, honestly, what really blew me away was the duck lasagna. Wow. I'm still speechless. I think it's better than any steak I've ever had and even comparable to some of my favorite fish dishes. Yes. That good. Also the duck wings are soooo good - crispy, meaty, not too fatty, and topped with the most perfect sauce. 5/5!!!

Okay friends, ever since my small town girl moved to the big city, she has introduced me to new things and experiences. It's funny because she only ate Campbell's chicken noodle soup for breakfast every day for 18 years! This was a wonderful experience. I could write pages but I'll hit the highlights. Lord, it was all a high for me. I'm not a wino even though I love it. But I have always been a cheap date! The broiled oysters were to die for, tomahawk steak, ( WHAT!) just incredible, duck lasagna was a new experience and divine , but the best dish was a food memory for my girl. The mashed potatoes! Always her favorite, she believes these potatoes have something so special. I should have asked for the recipe. We had other dishes as well, but honestly everything was exemplary. The sommelier was new and could not have been nicer. Especially for a doofus like me! A delightful time for me and my girl!

I came for their stakes, and that was a waste of time and money.first I've ordered their "supreme" and recommended steak MR, it served in room temperature and not felt like it was grilled but like it was steamed.I asked to Replace it to their NY strip steak that should be as they were right, a better steak, it really felt like it was grilled, BUT it came as MW and NOT as MR.Of course that I was tired of changing my dishes and ate the entire thing, but for such a price they should cook better. The service was great.

Would not go here again and other steak houses are much better . Service was fine but the steaks were overcooked.
Be the first to ReplyHighly recommend.
This place offers great quality apps, drinks and even song selection, which is always key in keeping up the vibes at a fancy place like this! Visited on a Saturday night which is probably more busy than usual, they were able to accommodate our party of 8 pretty quickly, which wouldn't be the case usually without reservations. AMAZING TOMAHAWK STEAK, hands down . Very professional and friendly staff members. Had a great night over all. Will def. be coming back here .

Outstanding - really top notch food and service, easily one of the best steakhouses in NYC. Well worth it.
Be the first to ReplyThis is dining done at its finest.
The ole battle axe and I took our night out and turned it into stomach stuffing class and prestige. Our server maintained a perfect balance of checking in without helicoptering. We snagged the corner booth, visible to the left upon entry facing a dimly lit but stately bar. We were presented our choice of the steaks for the night, so I chose a 3oz wagyu. Our duck wings might be the best in the city. The chicken my girlfriend had was moist and perfectly prepared. The sides were the money and would blatantly tell any critic of this restaurant to delete their yelp account. 5 stars.

Let me preface with the fact that I've been to several high end restaurants and understand what I'm about to discuss. Went to the BMC on a Monday. Reservations at 7:30. Sat immediately but then waited a while for drink orders. Waitress apologized for wait. Fine, first offense, not a big deal...that is..until it wasn't. We finally got our drinks and ordered 3 appetizers. All were good and arrived timely. Things went down from there. While finishing our apps, we were all done with our initial drinks. Nobody stopped by for another round or even to take our dinner order. After flagging the waitress down, we ordered the second round and our dinners + sides. Dinner arrived. No second round of drinks yet. A side was missing. Drinks finally showed and the waitress mentioned we would not have to pay for the missing side (expected at this point). Finally dessert and drinks. Ordered 2 different desserts yet 2 cast iron cookies came out. No mention of replacement, 86 on the cheesecake or anything. As for the food, the steaks were good but the sides lacked any depth. The mashed potatoes were just luke warm (should be one of the hottest things in a steakhouse). Just overall abhorrent service. Won't be back for a $250 (with tip) per person meal with this lack of quality/service

Came to this spot yesterday for a larger group after debating steakhouse's. We determined BMC because of the size of our group and ambiance and it definitely did not disappoint. Nice lighting low music and plenty of space. Chairs are a bit weird though....Steak: 3/5As far as presentation goes this place touts their dry age quite a bit and they are not aggressive but definitely try to up-sell to the shared steaks from their cutting board which does lend itself to a nice presentation. Most folks at our table got a mix of fillet's and the bone in ribeye. Their butcher selects pretty good cuts and everything is very thick at least 1.5 - 2 " the way it should be. The quality of the meat was pretty good though likely not grass fed. The finish was very nice with very charred edges and a decent crust. However, the gold standard IMO is still Strip House (quality of their meat has gone down but the finish is still the best in the city). My biggest issue was the toughness on the ribeye, for something that should be so fat layered it was really tough to cut into, it was also tougher on eating. Not that sort of marbled fall apart piece that you are used to. I think this is due to the excessive dry age time. And, it was medium rare. Also they put shiatsu peppers on top which are nice but totally pointless for no reason than being unique. i would have preferred roasted garlic. If you are going to get anything dry age from this place that isn't the A5 wagyu, make sure you get it rare. PLace would have been 5 stars if the steak was better. I am sure if we actually did get one of the shareables it would have been better, but I am a steak lover and honestly I hate pre-sliced steaks. Steak: 3.5/5Sides/Apps: 4/5The app's and sides were great. We got the duck lasagna (only get this if you love duck and have a big group), all the potato dishes, brussels's, spinach. THe best potatoes was the fingerling truffles but only if you like that flavor. The has was so disappointing. It is a cake that is not crispy. The brussels were easily the best, charred to perfection with some sweetness. The mac n cheese presentation was disappointing as it looked a bit small and was done with penne. But the flavor made it the best side, the cheese is very sharp and VERY strong. Loved it. Dessert: 2/5. The table got cheesecake (NY style with berries on top), cast iron cookie, and "18 layer cake". The cast iron cookie was the best and all their gelato is so thick and creamy. The cake was ultra disappointing, it was small and was more like 1 layer with no distinguishable layers. I will say the flavor and moistness on the sponge were very good. But, this is NYC if I am going to spend $20 on a slice of cake it needs to be a showstopper. Overall, a great intimate spot for a group. It doesnt feel as open and massive as Morton's but not so cramped like Quality Eats. Great presentation and accompaniments. I think the steaks should be pushed to be one level rarer than you would normally order. For me the best overall experience is still Strip House

Had the perfect birthday dinner with my best girl friends here. Every single thing we ordered was cooked to perfection. From the duck lasagna, the oysters, the salmon, the branzino, the Tomahawk steak, the brussel sprouts, the mac & cheese, all of it was so tasty. The ambiance really sold the deal too. Cozy yet classy and intimate. And whoever was running the playlist deserves an award because they had Jill Scott and Slum Village in rotation all night. Honestly couldn't have asked for a better restaurant experience in NYC. Will definitely come back.
Be the first to ReplyFirst time we went, it was jam packed for Valentines Day.
Second time, the manager Cesar was kind enough to seat us at a nice table and stopped by a few times to check in on us. Our server Manny was also fantastic at helping us select our meal. We had the porterhouse and everything from the truffle butter to the sides was perfect. Highly recommend for a dinner date. Great atmosphere, food and service!
Be the first to ReplyThis is my favorite steakhouse in the whole city.
Highly recommend getting their duck lasagna, it's so rich and tasty. The ambiance is also amazing. Great place to go on a date or to go with friends!
Be the first to Reply10/10 recommend BMCo.
From the starters, to the steak, to the dessert, there wasn't one item we didn't love. We began with the Mac n cheese with bacon (delicious), meatballs, & Caesar salad. We then had to duck lasagna, which you would never know was duck & so good. All the various steaks (Wagyu, strip, chateaubriand, & filet) were cooked perfectly. Lastly, the bread pudding was to die for - perfectly undercooked to be so soft. We also had the cookie skillet, which was fine but cooked too much -- we want the gooey cookie. Glossed over it but the gin cocktail of The Real Slim was great as well! Quality service where they were attentive but not overbearing.

.. prior to coming to this place, I put my heart and soul into the fact that Keens steakhouse was #1 in my heart. After dining at BMC, I have to say, things and opinions may have altered. The quality and taste of food, the ambiance, and the service was incredible. I didn't know what I was getting myself into, but I am so happy I did. If I could describe this place I would say it's a younger version of keens, less old people and more of a cool vibe. And the steak... *licks fingers* Now i'm not saying the steak was better than keens, but my heart and head are very confused now!

I went here last year with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary. We specified on the reservation that we were celebrating. The host came over as soon as my boyfriend left to go to the bathroom and began saying extremely inappropriate things to me while giving me his card. I went there to celebrate with my boyfriend, excited to have a night out for the two of us. Once we paid the bill, we decided to confront him and he showed absolutely no remorse for his actions. I won't ever recommend this place to anyone and I'm shocked they have such a creep hosting their guests. If I could give it minus 1 star I would.
