Authentically wonderful!
Simply wonderful! Having visited Brittany, I know the homey delight of a Breton galette, so when the Paris by Mouth newsletter recommended this cafe, I put it on my list. I was not disappointed! I had the Bretonne galette (a classic combination of flavors full of umami), a delicious dry pear cider, and a special dessert crepe with pear, chocolate, ginger, and vanilla ice cream (plus another cider!). Everything was phenomenal and as good as anything I had in Brittany. The flavors were all beautifully complementary and the portions allowed me to get both a savory and a sweet crepe, plus two drinks. I easily got a table on a Monday night in March without a reservation, and my waiter was polite, attentive, and informative to a solo diner with awkward, rusty French. (I appreciated that he *asked* if I would prefer English instead of assuming.) I also appreciate that the cafe is open early and late and all day, so if you are eating at an unconventional time, it’s there for you! And the prices are right — you can easily get out of there for 20-25€ if you only get one crepe and one drink. I also applaud the goal of the restaurant to help preserve Breton food and agriculture traditions. Even if you’ve never had a Breton crepe, you should try one at Breizh Cafe! (And bonus: buckwheat isn’t really wheat; it’s gluten free!)
Be the first to ReplyExcellent crepes in Marais!!
Truly delectable crepes in Le Marais! Sweet and savory crepes/“galletes” you can’t go wrong. Worth the wait in the line for a reason. Friendly staff and everything was mouth watering!! Still dream about this place!!
Be the first to ReplyAwesome savory and sweet crepes.....
This was our first dinner in Paris. We're not late diners and we don't like anything too heavy. This was perfect. My wife and I shared the cheese, potato and bacon gallate for dinner and we had the special tarte' Tatin crepe for dessert. Super tasty and reasonably priced.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, desert is the best
The crepes are really good, with a variety of hardy selections. We enjoyed our dinner but the dessert put it over the top. Fresh, flavorful and a great finish to a meal. Loved it.

My husband had an omelette, I had a crepe special. It was beautiful. The staff are very friendly and it was a very good price.
Be the first to ReplyPossibly The Best Crepes (And Galettes) In Paris!
After a long morning in crowded museums (tip: avoid the massive crowds on the main "Mona Lisa" floor of the Louvre and see the awesome and uncrowded upper wings - there's so much great art up there! And go to places like the Pompidou in the morning), we were starving. Walking tired and hungry into the Marais, we were in the mood for crepes and felt lucky the Breizh Cafe was nearby. Our luck continued with the welcoming, friendly service and continued with what were probably the best crepes and galettes we ever had. This place is the real deal. You get savoury square buckwheat galettes and delicious sweet crepes. A family of four, we tried a number of them and they were each truly, truly delicious. Even the house brand of soda was notably better than usual! It was just supposed to be a quick bite grabbed on the go but ended up being one of the nicest lunches we had in Paris!

Delicious and Authentic crepes. Fresh vegetables fruit in each bite. The cider was poignant but we had it for the experience. The artichokes, ham and egg crepe was tasteful.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent crepes - savoury and sweet. This is an excellent place. More than a ‘dessert spot’. You can have a full meal
This place is great. Great sweet crepes and savoury ones. Nice location. You can sit outside. Good service too. Mainly Breton cuisine with a slight Japanese twist in some dishes.
Be the first to ReplyAllergen friendly buckwheat crepes. Yum!
Excellent. Gluten free options available for nearly everything. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Excellent food. We returned again the next day. Consistently delicious.
Be the first to ReplyXLNT authentic crepes for breakfast, lunch or dessert
This is an authentic place from Brittany. The buckwheat lunch (or breakfast) crepes are delicious...I had Corsican. Good value
Be the first to ReplySavory and sweet
Delicious, I couldn’t decide between savory and sweet so had both. Cider complimented both. The Nordic crepe was with buckwheat and unusual but nice and the the apple compote melted in your mouth.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious crepe cafe, relaxed atmosphere, affordable
This is the antidote to typical heavy and rich French food while still embracing the French experience. The galettes/crepes were delicious, both savory and sweet. It’s a relaxed, cafe type atmosphere with friendly staff (they all spoke English), and simple but delicious food. Nothing fussy here, just good quality food for a fair price. If you come here, expect to eat crepes/galettes. This is the type of place you can come to eat any time of day, and visit multiple times while you are here.
Be the first to ReplyNot great
If you intend to go there, I strongly recommend booking a reservation as walk-ins will be treated as second-class citizens, with poor seating and abysmal service. Clearly understaffed, Breizh suffers from the « marais syndrome » , where restaurants believe they can counter mediocre food and poor service with location and expensive « organic » and « fair trade » ingredients or beverages. which are only Breton by name. Thus, its overhyped reputation guarantees any experience there to be a huge let-down. Breizh is nothing more than an expensive subpar crêperie with painfully long waiting times in a trendy location. If you truly want to eat Breton, go to Britanny, not Breizh.
Be the first to ReplyVery busy but worth the wait!
Thirteen of us went here after visiting the Picasso Museum, and after a short wait we were seated at 2 tables. They have both savory & sweet crepes. I shared one of each and they were amazing.
Be the first to ReplyRather expensive for what it is
I ordered a special that had caramelised onions, egg and ham. The caramelised onions acted in place as a sauce which was good. They have two locations and it appears that walk-ins are sat in deli next door and the main cafe holds reserved tables. I would not say this place is value for money as it's rather expensive for what is is.

Wonderful crepes and galettes, but so crowded that we really risked our health with the Covid. Be careful.
Ottime crepes e galettes, ma così affollato che abbiamo rischiato di prenderci il Covid. Attenzione.
We went twice!
The food was so good, we went there twice for brunch. Great flavors and so many delicious options. Staff was very friendly Our only wish was that service was a bit better. After the first visit we wanted to try again, but it was worse the second time around! Our food was served before we got water, juice, or coffee.
