Made dessert reservations for myself and to treat my fifteen year old who loves ice cream! Her response, "I would come here again just for this." She was also impressed with the small pot of French pressed coffee we ordered. She said the favor was just right, not too dark. Hence - 5 stars for our experience!
Be the first to ReplyClassy place for brunch.
Their eggs Benedict is a hit! And don't forget to try bananas foster. They make it tableside and explain how it was invented in their very restaurant. Delicious food and wonderful service!

Moi hot Patootie pink birthday "Breakfast at Brennan's" was just spectacular. The steak & eggs & Eggs St Charles a symphonic culinary masterpiece. The best brekkie in the FQ. OuiOui. "La Vie en rose."
Be the first to ReplyAmazing breakfast & dinner.
Staff is wonderful! Eggs Hussard were delicious and were a great twist on the usual Eggs Benedict. Bananas Foster also top notch! A must!
Be the first to ReplyWe went for Breakfast/Brunch.
I had the Duck Confit Hash that was remarkably delicious. Beautiful atmosphere and decor I especially love the Grotesque/Chinoise wall murals. For dessert we had the Bananas Foster which was FAR better than I had even expected it to be. It was one of the highlights of the entire trip. Service was impeccable and everyone is attentive and so polite.

Reviews had me doubting but honestly only read the positive ones. I get maybe a server might be having a bad day but from what I saw everyone was working very hard and service looked top notch throughout the restaurant. Our server was a super star: patient and informative. The food was phenomenal. We came for the world's best banana foster. We also celebrated my husband's birthday. When we made our reservation, we informed them of his birthday. They mark your table with a special birthday sash. At the end of your meal they also present you with this really cool cotton candy extravaganza with a surprise underneath, and they present you with a take-home apron. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We ordered and shared an appetizer of the crab avocado toast. It was delicious. The entire place was widely decorated. I felt like I was sitting in a southern mansion. There's lots of places for that Instagram shot.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful interior, the best service, food was delicious.
Really had a a celebratory ambiance, everyone working there was so warm. Everything we ordered was perfectly executed

Came for a Saturday brunch with friends! The inside was so beautiful, and our service was excellent. Their brunch menu was really unique and all the food was delicious. The gumbo is a must try! I got the shrimp creole, but others in the group got the lobster omelette and eggs Benedict and all were wonderful!
Be the first to ReplyI went for champagne happy hour and dinner.
The service was great, we sat at the bar and got to be chatty with everyone waiter as they grabbed drinks from the bar. Food was great! We had: turtle soup (this was just ok compared to other restaurants in Nola), seafood gumbo, blackened redfish (a different version of blackened, not what you would expect), roasted filet mignon, bananas foster, shoofly tart (this was so good, much better than expected). We were fresh off the plane in travel clothes but since we sat at the bar we were ok. Those in the dining room were dressed better than us.
Be the first to ReplyFor a birthday brunch it was amazing.
They treat birthdays very special. I'm not sure about the lunch or dinner menus but breakfast was amazing.

A proper New Orleans breakfast at Brennan's is an absolute must! Start your day with an Irish Coffee and Brandy Milk Punch, a New Orleans staple, then a cup of New Orleans style coffee w chicory & dark roast. On to the appetizer, that's right an appetizer before breakfast!.. of Oysters J'Aime w a light tomato kick to wake up the taste buds, and crab avocado toast, a light refreshing paring. So many amazing unique breakfast entree options to choose from. We had the Eggs St Charles, and the Lobster Omelet Cardinal the taste were as amazing as the sound, let the pictures do the talking! The service was impeccable, the place has maintained a sense of high class for all these years. Highly suggest reservations and we ate on a Thursday 0915, seating was full by 10:00.

We were delighted to have been able to get a reservation while visiting in New Orleans. I started with a butter lettuce salad and my daughter tried the turtle soup. We were both very happy with our selections. The salad was fresh and beautifully presented, the soup with a touch of Sherry was flavorful. For the main course I had the gulf fish and daughter had the scallops. We were again pleased with both the taste and presentation! We topped off our meal with the famous Banana Foster! It was wonderful in that it came with the "show" of creating the dessert and the story of how it was "invented". We were checked with frequently to make sure our experience was favorable but were never rushed. We sat by a window to the courtyard and could hear the piano playing nearby. I initially thought that all of the hoopla was unwarranted but it was well worth our time and money!

Would I recommend: NoWhy: Food ranged from good to "where can I spit this out"Experience: The restaurant is beautiful for starters. The staff extremely friendly and attentive. This restaurant upon initial inspection lives up to their claim of "top 50 restaurants in the US" plastered at the bottom of their menu. The fiancé and I were in awe when we sat down and inspected the menu! We settled on a oyster starter that was decent, nothing special about it but good. Then it was all down hill for me. For entrees, we ordered the duck and steak, the steak was to be prepared table side which in theory sounds very elegant. The issue was that they brought my duck out right when they brought out the steak to cook. So, I was left with just staring at my plate while the waiter fumbled cooking the steak at the table. By the time I cut into my duck it had already gone cold. Speaking of the duck, I don't know if the cooks were in a rush this time around because we were seated at 9 PM, but the fat was not rendered properly. This left a mouth full of unchewable fat that made me search for a place to spit without making a scene. To give credit where credit is due, my fiancé enjoyed her steak (but not the potato side that came with it). After feeling disheartened with dinner, we decided to get the famous banana foster. This was to also be prepared table side, which was once again fumbled by the waiter. He was unable to properly flambé the banana liquor in the dish, which left a very harsh alcohol burning sensation when eating the desert. It made me physically cough twice while eating. I could've overlooked this if the waiter had not just previously done this to the table right beside us. Let me say that the waiter was extremely nice and kind and we enjoyed his service, but if I'm paying over $160 for a meal I expect my food to be properly flambed so the flavors are correct.
Be the first to ReplyGood food, but quite pricey for what it is.
We had their gumbo, oysters and catfish. Everything was very tasty, but nothing justifying such high prices.

Brennan's has been serving New Orleans since 1946 so locals and tourists alike have enjoyed 77 years of New Orleans breakfast in the French Quarter at Brennan's. The New Orleans brunch tradition was really kicked off to the levels it currently celebrates at Brennan's! If you're not in the mood for brunch they also offer lunch and dinner service here as well. This restaurant is also notable for inventing Banana's Foster and Eggs Hussarde. My video review of Brennan's is here:youtu.be/NddhghaZFoM
Be the first to ReplyBrennan's is a must visit in New Orleans.
Not only is the food decadent, but the service is top notch. We went for a birthday, and I have never been anywhere that is that enthusiastic about birthdays in the service industry! Highly recommend (:
Be the first to ReplyGreat staff period.
Food tasted great but I was there for a wedding reception and they didn't give enough food. I wish they gave maybe double the serving we got. I didn't even get full off the bread and I ate a good amount.
Be the first to ReplyDo not go here.
It's just not worth it for the prices. The drinks and food is good but $25 for an eggs Benedict with no sides is ridiculous for what they gave you. The drinks are good and it is a pretty atmosphere.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious!! We went for dinner.
Joe was an amazing waiter! You need a reservation. Next time we will try the brunch.
Be the first to ReplyExceptional service - best I received in NOLA.
Food was delicious. Eggs sardou were wonderful. Single origin coffee was fantastic - one pot yielded about three cups. Reservations highly recommended.
Be the first to ReplyThis review is for Bubbles at Brennan's.
I have been attending this even for years. Now they opened it up to be Thursday - Monday with extended hours. Normally in the courtyard with Champagne sabering at 5pm, they were hosting in the bar when we arrived about 230pm.They used to have a larger selection of Happy Hour food - I miss the cheese. But we shared a Croque Monsieur and it was good. They have a great discount on bottles of bubbly but not on glasses like they used to. Just a few Champagne cocktails. Please bring individual glasses as my husband doesn't drink and a bottle would be too much for me.Excellent service from the bar staff. It was slow and we all had fun.
Be the first to ReplyFood was great as expected.
Comfortable and staff was very helpful and on point.
Be the first to ReplyStill going strong in the French Quarter.
Sic dishes of turtle soup and lacquered duck were terrific. Reservations required. Sitting inside with a view of the patio during daylight hours an extra bonus.

Truly one of the best brunches I've ever had! With no reservation, we got lucky and we were sat very comfortably in the lounge. The Benedict with coffee cured ham was to die for, but the star of the show was the potatoes with vodka washed salmon. Might have to come back to New Orleans just to enjoy another brunch at Brennan's!

You must dine here! The ambiance was amazing, the staff was welcoming and knowledgeable, and I must mention that this was the place banana's foster was invented! Portions were made for ordering several courses. The price fits the venue as well as quality of food and service. If you haven't been you must go! I wish I tried this place sooner!
