Amazing food and service.
The ambiance was great. The food was delicious the oysters were just right and tasted amazing. We got plantains and caviar which actually tasted pretty good together. For people coming for the first time I recommend getting the lobster roll, it's perfectly cooked and on a perfectly toasted bun. There are options for picky eaters and kids, the place is also dog friendly outside. It was an overall great experience and I will be back again!

Went to eat here after a full day of hiking and the food was unfortunately subpar. I had heard great things about this place but the lobster rolls paled in comparison to the east coast offerings I'm familiar with. For a very expensive lobster roll, you got a disappointing amount of lobster which was a bit dry and you had to pay extra for a side. We were still hungry afterwards and everyone described the lobster as just fine. I was also told by the cashier that there was a good amount of lobster pieces in the bisque which was exciting and the reason I ordered it. There ended up being only one small piece. The crab cake was excellent, however. It was a great size and was filling enough with the soup that I would consider going back for just that one item.

What a joke!We ordered extra lobster for $15 and got nothing extra! Don't even get me started on the disgusting uni, and the oysters were tiny. Never coming back here, save your money and go somewhere else.
Be the first to ReplyGreat service, great food, great atmosphere! I frequent
Great service, great food, great atmosphere! I frequent this little spot often, especially for a quick lunch on the go, and the service has always been so kind, attentive, and fast! I have never encountered an unkind soul working here and it is always such a pleasant experience to visit. Is it on the pricy side? Yes, but this is Malibu... Also, I would argue that compared to similar spots in the area Broad Street is far less expensive comparatively and way yummier. Can it get busy at peak times? Yes, but the line and the kitchen move fast even when the line feels intimidating. If I could change anything, they only really stock beer and they have a very limited selection of wine; as someone who can't have beer and who is very picky when it comes to wine, I would love to see them add some canned seltzers or ranch water type drinks to the menu. I've tried everything from the crab cakes to the lobster roll topped with caviar (just do it) to the cheeseburger (yes, this is a seafood spot. yes, this is also the best smash burger in Malibu. just accept it). I can honestly say I have never been disappointed by a meal at Broad Street. P.S. Make sure to order their homemade lemonade! It's well worth the uncharge!!

Finally got to try this place and it did not live up to the hype. Or maybe I should say it was all hype. Food is extremely over priced for the small servings and you don't even get served. Have to stand in line to order than wait and pick up food in an outside seating area no view. Service was great staff was friendly. Def will not be coming back stopped by McDonalds On my way! Home. This is what $220 got me. Glad I got to experience it food tasted good but def over priced and lacking the full service.
Be the first to ReplySuper expensive but pretty worth it.
The shrimp tacos looked good. The bread that I got with the uni spaghetti was awesome, and the uni spaghetti with that lemon ong. $85 tho for 2 people is kinda high.
Be the first to ReplyVisited and got the uni.
The prices were a bit high for the portions we got, but the flavor and quality of the food was exceptional. The seafood was fresh and flavorful, and the uni, in particular, was creamy and smooth. The soups were warm and hearty, perfect for a cool Malibu evening, and the lobster roll paired perfectly with their crispy and delicious chips. Overall, it was a great experience at Broad Street Oyster Company. Highly recommended.

Tried out their lobster roll while they were in Miami last weekend and it was the best lobster roll I've ever had! They were super nice and gave a lot of recommendations! From seeing just the pictures I can't wait to check them out in California! I love ocean views!

Traveled all the way from Irvine to try their lobster sandwich, and it did not disappoint. Had the warm w/ butter with sea urchin on top and OMG it is sooo delicious. Service was amazing and I love the ambiance. Definitely worth the trip.
Be the first to ReplyWe ordered online and picked up early on a Friday afternoon.
There was quite a bit of outdoor seating, but tables got crowded pretty quickly. We loved the lobster rolls, just be warned they were quite expensive for a moderately sized roll ($25 for one). The ceviche was super great, had excellent fish, crispy cucumber which we weren't expecting, with a flavorful marinade. The plaintain chips were great.
Be the first to ReplyI'm a California native who has eaten plenty of lobster
I'm a California native who has eaten plenty of lobster rolls both here in California and several states on the East Coast. I wish I had taken a picture. This was the most underwhelming lobster roll of all I have tried. I thought for $25, I certainly wouldn't have to had to order extra lobster for $15. I am accustomed to getting a sandwich where the lobster is falling out. I had no problem wrapping my mouth around this sad excuse for a lobster roll. And the lobster wasn't great. It was salty and I don't mean in the sweet briney way. I had the clam chowder and fried clam strips as well. While the clam chowder was tasty, it was not clammy. It was basically minced potatoes and minced clams the ratio being about 3:1 potatoes to clams. I want to take a bite of chowder and know I have a clam in my mouth not the essence of one. Same with the clam strips. While the batter was light and crisp, they were mostly just batter. The clam taste and texture were lost. Was more like calamari. My friend had the cioppino. It was a generous portion. I did not try it but my friend enjoyed it. You get a lot more bang for your buck at Malibu seafood.

I can't say enough good things about this place! O-M-Goodness! One thousand thumbs up. We tried several things since it was our first time here, EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious. Perfect even! It's been a long time since I've had an experience like that at a restaurant. And aside from all the raving about the food, the staff was equally as wonderful! HIGHLY recommend this place!!

Be the first to Reply24 oysters + lobster roll + fries/chips will run you over
24 oysters + lobster roll + fries/chips will run you over $70 - it's not the cheapest option, but will satisfy your seafood cravings.FOOD:Lobster roll: bun was roasted perfectly, but not enough butter or the proportion of meat to bun was off. Many bites just had the brioche bun unfortunately. As of today (April 2022), it's $25 for the roll - which is definitely on the higher end of rolls. Would get one to split next time and get something else.Oysters: fantastic! They had this unreal red onion vinaigrette that I wanted to drink. The horseradish packed a great punch with every bite. One of the better oyster options I've had. Would come back for these.Fries and chips were so flavorful and were fried to the perfect crunch. LOCATION:It's at the end of an alleyway between Saje and Lululemon. There is parking around the mall, and plenty of seating. We got there at 12:30 on a Friday, and didn't have to wait too long in line. There was a sizable amount of people though, so make sure you aren't too hungry before making your way here.4/5 stars cause of the price.
Be the first to ReplyOne of the few places that lives up to the hype.
Before coming here I was skeptical of how good a Lobster Roll could be until trying Broad Street Oyster. Now I often go to Smorgasboard downtown where they have a stand just to get one. So lets talk about their iconic Lobster Roll I always go with the hot buttered option since it was recommended my first visit. Game Changer I always thought with Mayo was the way to go, I stand corrected. The bun is buttery and has the perfect amount of char to compliment the sweet and tender mounds of fresh lobster. I always get the fries with old bay aioli. Also everyone who works here is so nice and friendly. I absolutely love this place and stop whenever I am in Malibu highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyThese are the best variety of oysters you can find on PCH.
I wish they offered cocktail sauce. The lobster roll and bisque was amazing! Do not get the stone crab claws. They dont have much flavor and the way they break the the shells, you will have tiny bits of shell in every bite you take. Everything else was great. Will definitely be coming back here for some drinks and oysters.

Be the first to ReplyI'll have to give this mixed reviews.
My lobster roll was medium to small in size but delicious. Expensive, but delicious. My husband got some other seafood and it must have been contaminated with something because he was sick later on. No one else in our group was ill. He usually doesn't get sick or fights through it but this was tough. After about 12 hours and getting it out of his system he was better. Not sure what happened. I'm sure this isn't a regular occurrence for this restaurant. It's a fun, outdoor location with nice covered patio seating. We just had bad luck that day. I know it's Malibu, but wish there were a couple more reasonably priced food options in town especially for the students nearby. This place was popular because it had a constant line of people the entire time we were there. It's always nice to have casual seafood options when you're at the beach.
Be the first to ReplyGood, but pricey for the small portions.
The pound of mussels must have included the broth in the weight, as I only got about a dozen and they were tiny. The broth was TO DIE for, but for $29 it wasn't the best value. The bread it was served with was soaked in butter, so again, delicious, but maybe a little overdone. Lobster roll was also delicious, but small and pricey. Fries were fine, dipping sauce very yummy. I bought a white wine in a can for $17.50. The place is located behind the Marmalade, and it was a little tricky to find. You order at the counter and they give you a buzzer to pick up your food to go/ eat it at the covered benches outside. In short, if you want tasty food and don't mind higher prices, go for it.
