Market loaf, I need not to say anymore of this place.
But I probably should since it's just amazing! Every weekend. My go to place for the market loaf. 1 , 2 amd sometimes 3 loaves. It's baked fresh everyday . And let me just say... the best bread I have ever had in my life. The cafe is also very cute and there are some vegan items on the menu every weekend. But to be honest, I just want bread. They sell things in a to-go case cooler and random nick knack. Oh Batard . How I love your bread.

Our new favourite bakery! We had an incredible cream of mushroom soup with bread and the brie & peach panini. Fantastic, as are the pastries (OMG those croissants!) and coffee drinks. This place has a lovely store as well that has takeaway food and an assortment of baking goodies and supplies - including those luxurious French cherries in syrup and our favourite coffee beans. Also love the decor - cool art and furniture.

Nothing bad here...literally! The store has the most lovely selection of treasures. Reasonably priced and luxurious array! The cafe side is equally unflawed. It's like a little holiday inside with the hustle and bustle of patrons. Love it!

Such a cute little cafe nestled on Fraser! I love the storefront and the vibe inside. We visited early morning on a weekend, and it wasn't too busy, but their menu doesn't start until 10 am. They have a little shop section inside for interesting ingredients. (Baguette and take-home soup for lunch were super tempting!) They also sell bread by loaf and half-loaf. We had the truffle potato galette, tomato artichoke galette, and pumpkin tart. (Don't quote me on the names. I can't remember exactly.) They were all delicious, but my favorite was the tomato artichoke galette. The pumpkin tart was amazing and not overly sweet. Perfectly balanced and decadent. The white hot chocolate was good, but I think I'm just not a fan of white hot chocolate. I recommend it if you want a really creamy, milky flavor. I'll be back after 10 am to try some stuff on their menu!

We commute from New Westminster to shop there due to their friendliness and absolute treasure trove of food.

My mom and I decided to go to this cafe last minute during a trip to BC and it was probably one of the best choices we've made. On the outside, the cafe is a quaint and quirky space with kitchen goods creating the aisles where you wait to order. They have cheeses, eggs, and other produce to purchase there as well. While I really wanted to order one of their sandwiches (so many people had them and it looked amazing), it was already close to lunch so my mom and I ordered pastries and a coffee instead. The americano was smooth. And when I say smooth, I mean smoooooth. Absolutely delicious with a splash of cream. We also got the lemon puff, a puff pastry dessert with lemon curd, the tomato and brie pastry, and the fruit danish. The lemon puff was so addicting and my favorite. The custard inside wasn't too sweet and it was filled quite a bit. I'm absolutely going back when I get a chance.

Such an amazing place with a loud environment full of life!! My patient introduced me to this place but after nearly a year, I've decided to check it out. The selection but full and the fridge was filled with a wide selection to choose from! The line was moving quickly, so I wasn't able to completely sneak a peak on all the available products. Will be back to take my time next time!! Wasn't able to get a cup of coffee today, but will be sure to make that happen next time! The pastries were soo fresh and melted in our mouths!! Just like how I remembered it a year ago!!! Ahh one of the best pastries I've been to in Vancouver!!! 10/10 incredible!!!

Yummmm! Best bread ever and their pastries and food are awesome too! We ate in and had a beef dip (fabulous and stacked with thinly sliced beef) and a croque madame (good but a little salty). We also bought several pastries, some eggs and a salad to go. This place has a wonderful selection of bread, pastries and a lot of other assorted ingredients to go, as well as great prepared meal offerings for eat in or take out. This place is BUSY, however the staff deserves commendation for keeping both the product counter and food service working like a well oiled machine. There is not a lot of parking available, even on the side streets. The location is not overly large, with the dining area slightly separated from the bakery/deli area. The only downside is the lineup for food and bakery/deli is the same, creating longer waits and a lineup than necessary. A nice little gem, great for breakfast or lunch and oh yeah- motivation to go to the gym after eying, if not indulging in, all those beautiful pastries and bread :-)

Delicious bread as always. Service is friendly. Prices seem a little higher but that may just reflect the higher cost of food in general. $25 per person for sandwiches coffee and pastries. Pastries here never miss. Always pick up a loaf of bread to take home. The tables are usually full but the customers don't mind sharing.
Be the first to ReplyCute bakery with indoor and outdoor seating.
They had a really good selections of jams and chutneys for sale (Bought the green tomato chutney and the peach chutney. Both delicious!). Stopped in for a bite and we had an excellent little lunch that won't break the bank. While the place was extremely busy, the line up was extremely fast and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Definitely will be going back!

Adorable café! Limited seating so we had to take out which was too bad. Front staff were really friend and efficient. Food was fresh and we all enjoyed it!!!

Friendly staff and they offered great advice.Wonderful decorated cafe with table and bench seating.Cappuccino was well made and had a nice latte art with a continuous caffeine kick.Desserts look great and were very tasty. The Honey Bun has a nice honey custard filling with a lightly sugared outside similar to a croissant/amann. The lemon tart is very lemony with a solid graham crust. All in all, a great find.

Ambiance: 4/5Service: 5/5Food: 5/5Overall: 5/5As someone who hits up a new bakery almost each week - I can confidently say that this is my absolute FAVOURITE bakery in Vancouver! From a cute interior to a huge selection of goods and delicious treats, it really has it all. The cafe is set up so that you line up from the entrance and order your food and you can choose to eat it there (with some limited seating available) or take it to go. On the weekends this spot can get really busy with lines out the door but typically they go by quickly or you can choose to come earlier in the morning to avoid the crowds. We've tried a bunch of their items including the almond croissant, tarte au citron, honeycomb, spelt loaf and market loaf. If you're only going to grab 1 pastry and 1 bread if you go, I definitely recommend the honeycomb and market loaf! Once you have this loaf you'll never go back - it's perfect for sandwiches, or eating just with plain ol' butter - they can even slice it for you if you ask! As for the service, everyone has always been super quick and nice so no issues on that front either. Always happy to go back to this spot!
Be the first to ReplyBeing French I can't give more than 1 star to this wannabes
Being French I can't give more than 1 star to this wannabes viennoiseries! I got an Almond Croissant which was hard as a rock and a chocolate croissant which was very plain! Even a frozen one from Whole Foods tastes way better. I also tried Kouign Amann that tasted totally bland! No buttery taste! I tried those before in Bretagne and in Paris, it was really buttery and full of flavor. At this place it is just a fluffy bakery ... Pillsbury alike... Let's not talk about the rude Asian cashier that handles cash and food at the same time. When I asked about the almond croissant hard as a rock , she through me a dirty look, And aggressively warmed it up . It still tasted totally ordinary... not worth $5 ! Finally I tried the Honeycomb croissant and flan and I recommend them to just stop fooling people by pretending it is a French bakery! This is a lie or the owner should fire the Asian Boulanger! All the workers there are Asian and for sure not from France nor speaks French. They only copied the rudeness of the French service without the quality or taste! Please get ride of the mean cashier and hire a real French Boulanger or else don't call yourself a Boulangerie!

Tried their lemon tart and kouign amann and both were delicious. What a cute little place in the neighbourhood. Definitely would like to try their other pastries.

10/10This bakery is the best in the neighbourhood and worth traveling to.I feel so lucky that I live close by so I get a chance to try their pastries often.Easily one of the top bakeries in Vancouver for sure.My tip - go in and grab an assorted box of treats and bring over to your friends housewarming/baby shower/holiday party/etc...You will be the most popular person there and everyone will be asking where you went. They have a great mix, truly something for everyone. They offer online ordering with in store pickup as well!Great way to beat the line up and guarantee all of your favourite treats.Their bread is to die for, not to mention phenomenal tarts and galettes. They also sell a lot of local foods, soups, honey, and adorable cooking wares.I might have to make an order after I finish this review...if you are in the neighbourhood, do yourself a favour and visit or make an order. You will not regret it.

What a cute spot! We got an array of pastries to try and really enjoyed all of them. However my favourite was the double baked almond croissant. We also got a loaf of their double hydrated sourdough loaf and I'm already salivating thinking about digging into that later!
Be the first to ReplyI tried the honey comb and Apricot Almond Gallette.
I reheated the honey comb when I got home. Both were amazing crispy and flaky on the outside a soft centre. I can't wait to try the other items.

Excellent, excellent pastries! We stumbled into this pastries shop after our visit to our dentist. It was highly recommended by my pastry lovers friends and it didn't disappoint. During this uncertain time of Covid-19 pandemic, we feel for those in the food industry. No longer we're able to walk into the coffee shops and order our favorite pastries. I was very happy that they're able to do online ordering. We did our pre-order online and picked the time to pick them up. We ordered the pastry box that includes: croissant, pain au chocolat, kouign amann, financier, two cookies, and also extra pain au chocolat for the boys.We picked up during the time given and it was easy peasy: contactless pick up window, and that's it.My pastry-deprived household rejoiced! Now which pastry shop next?
Be the first to ReplyHigh quality french style cafe! I believe all their goods
High quality french style cafe! I believe all their goods are baked in house including the bread for their sandwiches. Their hot chocolate uses real chocolate in their drinks which I appreciate. The croissants are flaky and buttery and you can't go wrong with their sandwiches, not skimpy on ingredients. Love this neighborhood cafe!

My mom brought some pastries home from this place and so I decided to try them out. I ended up finishing the whole box after dinner because they were just that good. Don't know about the price, but portions are average, and the presentation was nice.Lavender Blueberry Scone (4.5/5)The scone was slightly crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, which is the kind of scone that I love. The flavours were pretty decent, but I didn't really get much lavender flavour, which I honestly preferred. I don't know about the blueberry, because I don't like dried fruit, so I just ate around it lol. Overall, it was a good scone.Pain au Chocolat (5/5)This was my favourite out of all three items. There was a generous helping of chocolate, and the almond crust on top was so delicious. The croissant was so crispy and flaky, and I literally inhaled it in 5 seconds. My only complaint is that it was too oily.Double baked almond croissant (4.5/5)This was very tasty as well, but I preferred the pain au chocolat because I like chocolate in my croissant. Again, the croissant was super crispy and flaky, but it was also quite oily.Kougin amann (2/5)My mom had this, and she said it wasn't very good. Overall, this is a great place for scones and croissants. I'm definitely going to have to visit this place in person sometime!

Came back to try their beef dip sandwich and its the best beef dip sandwich I've ever had! Bread is crispy on the outside, buttery, roast beef is tender, and the au jus is so tasty!

Delicious pastries and bread! I usually have their fruit tart and a cup of green tea while I'm here and I'll buy a loaf of bread for home. Their apple walnut bread was quite nice. It's a very nice and quaint cafe, perfect for catching up with friends.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely awesome! You cannot go wrong here.
Amazing soup, bread, croissants. I haven't tried their desserts but they look absolutely incredible. Coffee is great, too.
