4.7 The appetizers and pastas were absolutely delicious! This was some of the best Foie Gras I've ever had which pushed this review to 5 stars. The Cacio E Pepe was fresh and you can tell the pastas were home made. It was also cool some of the ingredients for the gnocchi special were housed from an employees local garden/farm. The main dishes lacked some seasoning and were a little lack luster compared to the Apps but would go back for those dishes for sure!!

Incredible dining at Cache Cache!!! We had such a wonderful experience and really look forward to going back again.

I cannot imagine how this place does not have anything but five stars. It is an institution in Aspen and anyone who is anyone has been here. That doesn't matter though. It's longevity and popularity is most likely because the staff works tirelessly to meet your every need. Our waitress provided perfect service along with her assistant. The restaurant was packed, but we felt like the only ones in the room. Cache Cache is poetic and magical. Most importantly, the food is amazing! We ordered king crab everything, a steak, the mousse, cocktails wine... all heavenly. We're grateful to the dedicated staff there!! Whoever can't find happiness here doesn't belong.

I was very underwhelmed by both the food and service at Cache Cache. My partner and I dined here last night (Saturday night) to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I don't drink alcohol, and it seemed to annoy our server when we did not order wine for the table. Once our server found I was not drinking booze, we didn't see much of him for the rest of the night. My water was infrequently filled, and my glass was empty multiple times throughout our 2 hour meal. Eventually another server seemed to have replaced him as he stopped coming to our table. We started off with the burrata and tomatoes, and the foie gras. The tomatoes didn't taste like the local/farm fresh tomatoes advertised. The raspberry jam with the foie gras was spectacular - probably the best thing we ate at this restaurant. The foie gras itself was fine - certainly not the best I've had. For our main course, I got the sea bass and my wife ordered the lamb chop. My sea bass was beautifully presented but tasted as if the chef forgot to salt it at any point during the cooking process. It was so bland and under-seasoned that I resorted to adding my own salt and pepper from the table. My wife's lamb chop was cooked perfectly to the medium rare she ordered, but also lacked proper seasoning. The portion size was generous, and I would not be surprised to learn that lamb was almost a full year when butchered because the chops were huge. Everything we ate the entire night was chronically under-seasoned. I rarely resort to using table salt shakers, but it seems like I had a fork in one hand and salt shaker in the other for this meal. The chocolate cake was burned. Not overly toasted - burned. I would be embarrassed to send that out if I were on the line. We all have off days - so it is possible the kitchen had an off day, and our server was having an off day, but our experience was about $400 for 2 people and I think it would have been better spent on a lot of other dining options in Aspen.
Be the first to ReplySuch a disappointment-again.
So many better places to go for literally half the price. $29 Caesar salad was terrible-had to ask for lemons and add salt to make it zing a little. To start with the romaine was terrible quality. Then the $72 shrimp entree was average, even sweet which was not a welcome surprise. Service was fine. Gimlet was fine.
Be the first to ReplyI had the worst experience in this place last night.
I'm not sure why people say this place is good. The Maitre D was so rude and stuck up. I just told them that the Escargot was impossible to get out of the shells .He was so rude and looked me up and down like I was a piece of dirt.Horrible. Don't waste your money. There are way better places than this.
Be the first to ReplyThe best in town! Delicious quality food and great service.
Big wine selection. One of the best dining experience aspen has to offer
Be the first to ReplyFood not good- attitude from staff .
.. no reason to go back... Not sure more words necessary
Be the first to ReplyBest Chicken & Apple Crisp in Aspen hands down.
Service is excellent and ambiance is best in town. Jodi is a magician!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing presentation as well as highly tasteful food.
Lots of options but not so many as to be overwhelming, servers were attentive but not bothersome. Perfect place to spend a birthday dinner
Be the first to ReplyI went here for my 60th birthday.
My boys flew in from Dc with their gfs to enjoy a long weekend in Co.Service was impeccable. Appetizers delicious. The sommelier brought out a bottle of Jo Landron muscadet. I had ordered another muscadet, but he surprised me with Jo Landron. It was amazing! I ordered the filet mignon. It was cooked perfectly. It melted in your mouth. Everyone's meal was divine.I'm not sure why anyone would give this esteemed restaurant less then five stars. Unrealistic expectations or unable to ever be satisfied is my guess.....Cache Cache is lovely. Patio tables feel like your in the south of France. This is a not to be missed dining experience in Aspen. Put on your bucket list! I'm heading back soon! One of my favorite restaurants!!
Be the first to ReplyEasily one of the most fantastic restaurants in Aspen.
It's been around for so long and has consistently remained outstanding. Everything from the food to the ambiance to the delightful and extremely professional staff. I always try to make reservations for at least 2 nights because one never seems like enough. Absolutely all time and will continue to satisfy my every desire
Be the first to ReplyThe food, service, and ambience were all fantastic.
The services provided by the professional management and staff are the main reasons that we keep coming back. The old world elegance is a rare thing, and we value their focus to make sure that everything about the dining experience is excellent. I highly recomend this restaurant.

We had dinner here on a Monday night with two other couples to celebrate an anniversary. I had read the Yelp reviews in advance and it was clear that there was a real love-hate thing going on with reviewers. The haters invariably complained about snooty service. Our experience was delightful. We were warmly greeted by the hostess at our reservation time and shown to our table. Our waiter, David, was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and specials. The sommelier, Sophia, went out of her way to be helpful. We had ordered a bottle of champagne in advance to celebrate the anniversary as a surprise, and they pulled off the surprise seamlessly. The food was wonderful. We split salads (Caesar and Beet) to start, and they were fresh and delicious. I had Osso Buco and it was one of the best versions I've ever had. My wife split the risotto entrée with another in our party, and loved it.The decor is understated elegance inside and out. Even though we ate inside, the flowers and hustle and bustle outside were charming. To be sure, all of this didn't come cheap. But I would say it's comparable to other high end restaurants in Aspen.Bottom line, I've eaten at excellent restaurants all over the world, and this is up their with the best. As for the "haters", we'll, you know what they say: haters gonna hate.
Be the first to ReplyOver priced and snooty!Have you ever heard of a restaurant
Over priced and snooty!Have you ever heard of a restaurant that doesn't allow a large party to split credit cards? How about $50 for 3 little fish tacos filled with flavored mayonnaise?I admit that the service was good but still not worth the price. Unless, of course, you want to pay $45 for a trout entree.Oh BTW, they can't accept having separate checks either.....and believe me, when you are with a large party, you want one!
Be the first to ReplyThe food is outstanding- however the service here is so
The food is outstanding- however the service here is so freaking snooty it's beyond belief. I've eaten at many high end establishments like PerSe, French laundry, monarch etc etc and have never experienced stuck up service like this before. The wait staff make you feel unwelcome and treat you like a bother. If not for the good food I would never come back. Sadly this was my third time here and every time it's the same attitude. There are not a lot of options in Aspen but if you desire excellent service try Betula.

One of my favorite restaurants in Aspen, I've been coming here most of my life and it never fails!
Be the first to ReplyTerrible food .
Rude service. First place in aspen where I experienced this. I ordered lamb meatballs dry overcooked and cold. The smoked salmon app was terrible . When I was asked how it was the bartosaid don't come back
Be the first to ReplyPhenomenal.
Cache Cache is expensive, but amazing. The location is right in town, and the food is so good. Service is mediocre, but that seems to be a pattern and a small price to pay. (From @tastessky on instagram)
Be the first to ReplyI only give this 2 stars because the location is right in
I only give this 2 stars because the location is right in town. Problem is food is sub par. They want to be a fine dining spot but the staff isn't trained at all and menu doesn't fit fine dining. Everything is over sauced, over cooked. Escargot was past its date it should be. Steaks over cooked. Pasta over cooked. Would not refer this place. Much better next door

We haven't tried the food here yet, although heard it's delicious. The bar manager, Norman, is a very sweet guy and by word of mouth heard he is an amazing bartender. The atmosphere of this restaurant is boujie, beautiful, and has dark lighting. We will have to try this restaurant when we come back to Aspen!
Be the first to ReplyWas not happy at all .
.. the wait staff thought they are better then us ... rude at times ... someone needs to tell the waiters that they are in a service industry ... we got a half raw pork chop, I told them they still charged us for it, we had a trout and it was tasteless ... it was our last evening in Aspen so we just took it ... 3 people and the bill was $500 --- we expected so much more ... what a disappointment....
Be the first to ReplyHORRIFIC SERVICE, didn't even get a chance to try it
HORRIFIC SERVICE, didn't even get a chance to try it because the hostess was VERY rude. She very nice to everyone else around EXCEPT me. She was speaking incoherently and walked away while while I was asking a question. If they treat guests like this, it makes me question their devotion to making sure guests are happy with the food and is a larger reflection of their entire infrastructure in the back of the house. If reservations are recommended, put it on the site and make it known. No need need to be snobs, there are PLENTY of other fine dining options in Aspen.
Be the first to ReplyWorst host I have met in my life.
We walk in with a reservation, we requested to sit outside before hand. The Host says '' we might be able to seat you in 20-45 minutes'' with the conversation not being done, he proceded to answer the phone and not finish the conversation. I wasn't able to eat there because I was so annoyed by the service.
