Capital Bar and Grill Little Rock Reviews from The Last Year
This place lives up to it’s good reputation!
Great martinis served in the Bar! It enticed me to look at the dinner menu! I had the Ribeye steak with a side of whipped potatoes. I end this dining experience with their signature brownie! Service was first rate!
Declined from glory days.
My how the mighty have fallen. The management firm now operating the Bar and Grill falls short of previous excellence. Servers slow w water then drinks. 4 shrimp on the po-boy, FROZEN onion rings. Manager did step in to help serve mains. It was okay, but previous attention to detail, and quality of food are a loss. The abruptly closed main dining room- breakfast only a sad second verse of refrain.

My lovely bride and I stayed at the Capital Hotel over the weekend for the solar eclipse. After a long day of walking through Little Rock museums, we needed to eat dinner nearby. The Capital Bar and Grill turned out to be a good call. I ordered the ribeye steak, served with broccolini and garlic fries. The ribeye was cooked perfectly, and the broccolini were a good complement. The garlic fries were just so-so. My lovely bride quickly devoured the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. I didn't like the onion rings because they were slightly greasy, but she didn't mind, dipping them in a spicy mayo sauce. We finished off our meal by sharing the banana pudding, which was stellar. Excellent service, and highly recommended.
Great place for drinks and food.
Ambience is great here, very relaxing. Would highly recommend this as a must go too.

Tasteless , bland, stale chips and genuinely unappealing appetizers and entrees. A Swanson's TV dinner from a microwave would be equivalent ...although service was wonderful, friendly and helpful but did compensate for restaurant lack of cleanliness of menus, ect.
Chicken and Dressing - chicken was cold, dressing was mushy
Chicken and Dressing - chicken was cold, dressing was mushy and flavorless. - Green Beans- ok. Roll - good, mashed potatoes & gravy good.
Whoa! Capital Bar has really gone downhill.
Used to be my daughter's favorite restaurant. We ordered takeout, and they gave me a hard time about wanting pimento cheese on the cheeseburger. What? In the end, it didn't matter, the burgers were inedible. Seriously, we fed them to the dog. So disappointed. The fries were still up to par.
I went here on New Year's eve with my mom.
Everything was excellent. Our server was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed and was very friendly. We got a bottle of champagne which was good and presented/served well. My mom got a mule which she said wasn't very flavorful and a martini which was good. I got a cocktail with absinthe which was very good but I can't remember the name. For food, we shared the caesar salad as an appetizer which was very good. I got the beef stroganoff as my entree which was very good. My mom got the rib eye steak (I think) which she said was very good. Overall great experience and a great place for a nice dinner.
So, made a reservation for lunch mid week.
Got to the front and had to talk over the guy at the host station to let him know we had a reservation as he was trying to tell me that they didn't have any tables open. Not necessarily rude, but certainly wasn't listening to me. Got a table, nice atmosphere (but small!, we were surprised). Like an old fashioned bar and grill, great decor, very nice bar, place to "do business" at lunch time so to speak... lots of suits present. Limited menu, but some interesting choices so not disappointed. Wife ordered the chicken panini... but they're out of the parmesan fries? How do you run out of fries at a high end restaurant one hour after they open? They had potatoes for the house made chips and the roasted potatoes for my order? I ordered the cordon bleu. Food took a bit, but not too long. Wife's was NOT a panini, it was a toasted sandwich (not pressed as a panini should/would be). $18 for the sandwich and potatoe chips. Mine was a breaded piece of chicken breast with ham and cheese on top... not your typical cordon bleu as well. $26 for the chicken, a handful of mixed greens and a generous portion of roasted potatoes. Both lunches tasted fine, but nothing spectacular. As we were finishing the manager was out apologizing for something to the table next to us (didn't overhear the conversation so I don't know what for), but what I did catch is that the cooking is outsourced? Not what we expected to hear for a "to go" place for food. We did order desert and it was the best part of the meal. I had the strawberry cheesecake and my wife had the carrot cake, both were around $15 each. Both were very well plated, what I would have expected for the entire meal, and both were delicious... but, they were both obviously plated and prepared well in advance and things like the sauces drizzled on when served. Not necessarily bad, but not freshly made either. All in all it was underwhelming for an almost $100 lunch and we expected it to be so much more. We probably won't go back.
We stayed at the capital hotel so decided to dine in here.
My mom had been here before and loved it. We were very disappointed with this last visit. My tab was $70 for a chicken Caesar salad, a house gin and tonic and a chocolate martini. I wouldn't have gone here to begin with because look at their menu --- not a lot of options and just simple bar food. The place itself was small one room and a bar. Service was okay -- my salad was so small it looked like a kids meal.

Well considering it was only offering a light bite menu, i still enjoyed my espresso martini here. The bar tender was extremely nice. And the restaurant was very clean and had cool Looking decor. I'll come back and try their dinner soon.
Lunch is great at Capital Bar and Grill, so for our 40th
Lunch is great at Capital Bar and Grill, so for our 40th Anniversary, we decided to try dinner there. Place was crowded and loud (can not control noice issues). Waitress was polite. Ordered wine, but wine preference was out. Husband ordered a mixed drink. Dinner menu is $$$. Opted for soup. Husband loves their Gumbo, so he ordered the Gumbo. I ordered the "Soup of the day". Thought the waitress said tortellini soup", but turned out to be a "Chicken Corn Soup". Soup was in a spicy tomato broth with maybe a tablespoon of corn and chicken in it (ate half of it) Too spicy for me. No bread or even crackers offered. Paid $12 for each small bowl. Meals were $30 and up. We DID love the brussels sprouts appetizer! Sticking to lunches only now. Beautiful hotel and the Bar and Grill atmosphere is elegant, but they need to work on their very limited dinner menu.
Enjoy the Capital Bar & Grill
The volume was low enough to hear each other talking but background music was very pleasing. We had shrimp & grits and a Cobb salad w/ duck gumbo. Both were prepared well. The cocktail was refreshing. It was our waiters first night and he did well. The bar is classy and the hotel is also a classic. We will come back soon.

That's what AT sponsorships are for - and you are only paying 25% in the first year and then less in year two and three.
I beliebe @EternalAnt36 was sponsored by @PerceptiveWash44 and is now doing $25k/mo.
You can write on the top sellers profiles (type 'Top 10' in the searchbar) and then tap request sponsorship button after you found the guy or gal like to work with!
