I've never been to this place in person so I cannot vouch
I've never been to this place in person so I cannot vouch for their service but the food here is great. This place has pretty much the best chicken tikka masala and saag paneer I've ever had and they are also the most generous with the meat and the portions. Also have discounts all the time on Uber Eats. Glad to have found this gem. One of the best new spots on Honolulu post Covid.

This was the best Indian food we've tried in the SGV & we've been searching for years! We had big family meal for 7 people and service was excellent right from the start. They were quick to bring out extra dishes when we devoured the initial rounds of paneer masala & korma. Even the special salad was delicious, which isn't often the case for an Indian restaurant. They were so kind and we'll definitely be back!

$16.95 for a wonderful variety of dishes. Each came with rice, soup and salad. I ordered a lamb dish and my friend chose a tofu dish. Both delicious and not skimpy! Highly recommend.

My favorite Indian restaurant ever!!!I grew up eating at my dad's Indian restaurant, so I'm quite familiar with the cuisine and this by far the best experience I've had with the cuisine. Staff is always friendly and inviting. Totally worth trying!!

I recently visited Cardamom and got to say that I was pleasantly surprised by this place. It's tucked kind of inconspicuously among the shops along Honolulu ave. I ordered the Daal Makhani and my fiancรฉ got the Spicy Sylheti Chicken. We also shared garlic naan and rice. The food was filling and delicious, although I must say I wish mine had been a bit spicier. The spicy chicken was a good level of spice to begin with but crept up the more you ate, so definitely be aware if you're sensitive to that. Despite that, the flavors were top-notch. Especially the naan, I would go back just to eat that! One of the standout features of my experience was the speed at which my meal arrived. The dishes came out quickly and were still hot and fresh. I appreciated not having to wait long for my food, especially since I was hungry! The ambience of the restaurant was pleasant enough, but nothing particularly noteworthy. The staff were friendly and attentive.

The food here is amazing!! It's a good option if you are craving something different. The workers are also very friendly and attentive. This is our go to spot when we are craving something delicious and spicy. Order the chicken tikka masala! Never disappoints.
Be the first to ReplyBest Indian food around.
We drive over 20 miles from our house to come eat here. Perfection.

Ordered delivery, chicken tikka masala, some samosas and naan. The naan is delicious, really happy there. Everything really was good. I thought the tikka could use more spice, it was on the sweeter side but I did enjoy it. Definitely will order again.
Be the first to ReplyWe really enjoyed the food at Cardamom Indian Cuisine.
A perfect addition to the restaurants on Honolulu in Montrose, Cardamom has beautiful dishes ad the staff is very sweet and accommodating and are great at making suggestions. Everything we had was wonderful. The naan with the fruits and nuts is fantastic. We'll definitely go back to Cardamom.

For a party of 2, we ordered a shrimp patiapoori, coconut chicken chetinad, paneer tikka masala, 1 order of rice and plain naan. We did end up with some leftovers. The patiapoori was my favorite thing - super yummy sauce on top of a crispy fried flat bread. The two entrees were okay - however, I really liked the texture of the paneer here. It's definitely better than many other places I've had. Unfortunately, the entrees don't come with rice and you have to order that separately - which is okay. A bit pricier than what I'm used to for what we got - could be the location? Service was decent, nothing special. We accidentally ordered bottled water because the waiter asked if we wanted "still or sparkling?". Without thinking about it, we replied, "still". BAM $5 bottled water. So sad. I actually wanted filtered tap water...lol.
Be the first to ReplyIt's just OK.
Had the fish curry and my wife had the lamb sag. Both OK. Nothing special, and it's pricey for Indian food. So, blah

You can't go wrong with this place! Went with a group of 5 friends and we ate family-style. Everything was divine and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The place is clean and wasn't overpowered by smell which can happen at other places.Don't think about it. Just go!

Very tasty food, portions are smaller than some other places I've been, but the price is not terrible. Staff is really friendly but service is a little slow (45 ish mins for 4 dishes). I'll be returning.

Interior has changed and is now a good feel! My first review was when the restaurant was just open and not everything was ready. Only problem is no alcohol but can bring in so all's great.

.. I don't know about this being the best Indian restaurant in town. I supposed if it's the only one, then it is the best one. The food took forever to be served even though there was only one other table with people waiting. We got two lunch specials and two sodas. It was $60, not worth it. The two chicken dishes we ordered had 6 small diced pieces of tasteless chicken each. The ratio of meat to sauce was totally off! The only item they had flavor was the tamarind chutney, which is really hard to mess up. The chutney was served on a tiny plate with about 1 Tablespoon worth for two people. The lemons we requested were rotten and dried out. I would not recommend nor would I return.

The lunch special was fantastic. My wife and I both agree it's our new favorite restaurant. And so wonderful it is right in our area (although I'd probably drive far just to eat there if I didn't live locally). We had the Chicken Tikka Masala lunch special, along with an order of Mater Paneer and vegetable samosas from the main menu. Every bit of it was absolutely fantastic. HIGHLY recommended!

A friend and I went there looking for them since another person we knew had given them a good review to us. ย They did not disappoint. ย We got there closer to closing than we meant to and they were polite, kind and most helpful. ย The food was fantastic - most places do not have lamb samosas and theirs' are great. ย My only complaint was I wanted more of them - but of course I had no room since all the other food stuffed me. ย Lamb Korma and Saag Paneer (which I'd never had before) I HIGHLY recommend. ย I'll order that again. ย Simple decor, and just amazing food. ย And the rice was really good as expected. ย We had plenty of leftovers and could barely move when we left. ย The garlic naan was really puffy and the texture was as good as its taste! ย A really unexpectedly great little hole in the wall.

I came here with my parents and sister and we were delighted at the service, food, and attention they provide here. One of the owners consistently stopped by to ask if everything tasted good and if we needed anything. The food was delicious, we didn't leave a single crumb on any of the dishes we ordered. The owner was also kind enough to give us rice pudding on the house and it was the best way to finish off our meal. We will definitely be back here sooner than later.

After a whole day of thinking about what to eat, I finally decided to come here for lunch. I was really craving Indian food, and even with those expectations, the food was better than I could have anticipated. I ordered the lunch special for the tikka masala and the buttered chicken, which came with a side of naan that was so good that I couldn't have enough of it. I also ordered the raita, and it was so flavorful! The service was amazing, and the owner is very kind. The rice pudding was a great end to the meal, and it cleansed my palate after everything. Would definitely come again to try the dinner menu as well!!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Indian food here in amontoe-se.
I am so excited they opened up. I am looking forward to go eat in person. Their tandoori chicken breast was amazing. The veggie biryani was out of this world too. With okra on it. It tasted fresh and delicious.
Be the first to ReplyThose with nut allergies beware.
The food was tasty but nowhere on the menu does it mention anything containing nuts and my son has a tree nut allergy. The food was tasty but as soon as he took a bite of the chicken tikka masala, he said his throat felt funny and then started freaking out as he recognized he was having an allergic reaction. I gave him his Epi-Pen and drove to Verdugo Hills ER.We have had chicken tikka masala from 2 other Indian restaurants without any issues. So Cardamom, PLEASE indicate that you have nuts (probably cashews as that is what he is most allergic to) in your sauces!Update to Owner's response: We ordered online and there are no symbols next to any items online.
