A little slice of Mexico in Tribeca.
Food and service was amazing. Lovely decor too. Would definitely recommend!
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful ambience.
Great and friendly service and the icing on the top was the hand crafted cocktails and delicious food items. We tried quite a few items on the menu and everything was tasty.
Be the first to ReplyI went twice and have same dish with mole & chicken.
The chicken was tender but 2nd times was a bit tough to eat. I made a remark but no one came bother to deli with me. The roses at the bar counter was tried & all the big glass floor light has no light on them Should pay attention into to keep the business going

Good, flavorful margaritas. Blood orange one was tart and not too sweet. The guac and chips and carnitas tacos were fine, not terrible, not amazing, but good. The service was good, everyone was really nice, and the noise levels were good. It was quiet. Came with a friend for dinner and it was a really nice night. Easy to make a reservation online as well.

This place was very OK - the staff were friendly, the food was fine, the ambiance was meh. It reminded me of a slightly less nice version of Cosme. I would recommend the quesadillas and the enchilada. Tacos are a no go.

This place is so amazing, food, service and the atmosphere are so pleasant, I'd definitely recommend this venue for family and friends, Luis the manager is such a friendly person, thank you so much to all the staff and I'll be back soon
Be the first to ReplyThe ambiance was great.
However, the food was extremely bland. The guacamole comes with 5 chips. And the drinks were overpriced lime juice. It's a scene but happy to skip it.
Be the first to ReplyIncredibly nice staff and quality food.
Would go back. I'm cheap and this is worth it.
Be the first to ReplyBad vibes, terrible service, pork In vegetarian dishes.
Nuff said - no reason to go here.

We recently had our team lunch at Casa Carmen and will say that we all agreed that this place deserves a place in the City's top dining spots! We enjoyed everything about this place - from its elegant interiors to excellent food (ceviche, carnitas tacos, rib eye, chicken mole, corn, etc.) and delicious drinks to its top-notch service! We couldn't have picked a better location to celebrate the holidays. Thank you very much to Camilo and Sebastian for ensuring we had a great time - HF will definitely be back!!!

The space is wonderful and inviting, Shout out to the bartender Francisco for being so friendly and light-hearted, I appreciate staff that add to the good energy of a restaurant. We got a table around 6pm, our waiter was friendly and attentive at the beginning, he recommended some dishes. We went with the duck tostadas and paunches, both were delicious, he recommended the fideo deco, which we sent back after taking it bite, it was giving ramen mixed with whatever leftovers you have in the fridge, we switched to the trio of quesadillas which are vegan friendly, they were ok. The drinks were good and fresh, I drank mezcalitas and tried the blood orange and hibiscus flavor. The star of the show for me was the branzino with the salsa verde, which I paired with the Mexican rice it was superb. For dessert we did the tres leech, the cream can be sweeter, it tasted too milky. My only call out that made the dinner unpleasant towards the end of it was our waiter informing us there were people waiting for a table and if we can go grab dessert and drinks at the bar. It was rude because although we had made it a lengthy dinner we continued ordering drinks throughout and this is also not a cheap dinner for us to be rushed out of the table or even get the request halfway through the dinner Usually a host will tell you before you sit if they need the table back, overall it was a solid dining experience.

Did a birthday brunch at Casa Carmen and everything was absolutely delicious. I believe this was their second week open for brunch. Our server, Mixie, was delightful and very attentive. There were 5 of us in our party and we were all blown away by how delicious and authentic the food was. You can tell how much love and thought went into every dish. Definitely felt like I was at home in Mexico having an almuerzo with my family. Not pictured is a concha, Mexican sweet bread. It must be baked in-house because it was so fresh and not overly sweet. I am obsessed with this place and cannot wait to come back here next time I'm in the city. Brunch AND dinner!

I booked through Opentable and the restaurant charged me $25 at time of reservation (which I guess is now a THING?) I confirmed the reservation online - then got a call from the restaurant (woman) who asked me 3 times if I was coming or not..."was I sure??" Arrived at restaurant and I believe the same woman was the one seating people (it was early...before 6 pm) - the restaurant was pretty empty and she took our party of 4 to a table in the very front - when I noticed several booths lining the side I asked if it would be possible to have a booth..again she was rude and explained the booths 'were for big parties..5 or more' - I understand holding booths for larger parties, she was just so rude about it. I told her we had a hard out and would be out by 7 - but she said she had them reserved before then. Of course when we left the booths had remained empty. Just seemed lame. The Guacamole was great. Maybe next time we'll just try and eat at the bar so we don't have to deal with her.

Be the first to ReplyGot recommended to go here from a foodie friend.
When we walked in ambiance was beautiful. Felt very authentic and somewhat romantic with low light. We started off with a couple of mezcalita because i heard the drinks were the best part. I'll be honest and say i'm not sure if it was an off day but the mezcalita was OK. and i LOVE mezcal. The drinks were priced at around $17-18 and for such a high priced cocktail i expect a little extra love in it. Either way weren't super hungry so we ordered a couple of tacos which were also very high priced for 2. We mixed and matched and I have to say i wasn't impressed at all. There was almost no flavor on the meat and the salsa was whatever. I truly was disappointed coming here, I had higher expectations for a Michelin star restaurant. The service was good though which made the time more enjoyable. Overall I'm not sure if i would come back to eat but possibly for another drink at the bar.

The waiters and manager were so kind! The decorations inside are amazing and food arrives pretty quickly. I loved eating here.

The food here was wonderful and fresh! I haven't found a good Latin place in the city and was so excited for some fresh guacamole and ceviche. Yum! The margaritas are soooo good. It's a smallish place that's pretty packed but you can hear yourself talk. There is no outdoor seating. Prices are up there but not totally crazy. Enjoyed the fresh flavors of my meal here would recommend for a change of pace!
Be the first to ReplyGreat atmosphere and decor, pleasant service.
Somewhat overpriced, but on par for Tribeca. Chicken Enchiladas Verdes were tasty, as was the esquites. Guac was good, but it comes with - LITERALLY - four chips (which are actually mini tortillas) and if you want 4 more they will charge our $4 more. Talk about nickel & diming the customer! It's fried masa, maybe just comp them since we paid $17 for 1/3 cup sized serving of guac?
Be the first to ReplyAlways love trying a new neighborhood Mexican spot.
As others have said the vibes and decor here is very reminiscent of a restaurant in CDMX. For drinks we went with 2 flavors of the mezcalitas - strong and well flavored and balanced. We liked the blood orange over the hibiscus. For apps we got the duck tostadas and ceviche. Both were good but personally the ceviche was my favorite (and maybe my favorite item of the night.)For mains we split the side of esquires, ribeye and the shrimp in black salsa. The shrimp was unlike anything I have had before and delicious. The ribeye was cooked perfectly. Only thing I didn't enjoy as much was the corn "cake" dessert which tasted essentially just like corn pudding side at thanksgiving lol, much more savory than sweet but my boyfriend loved it and said I was just harsh haha so still 5 stars from us!
Be the first to ReplyAlways look forward to a new Mexican restaurant in NYC.
They had good Mole here. I won't post a pic because it doesn't do it justice. It was good. I don't think any of the duck dishes are really worth the price. Nothing is of huge portions given the quality so don't expect leftovers. The place was pretty full. Nice bar area. The noise level is pretty loud. Not unlike most NYC places.

Felt like I was back in Mexico City stepping inside this Polanco style restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing and the drinks . Def recommend this spot to anyone looking for authentic high end Mexican cuisine.

Food was authentic and delicious!!! We worked our way through the menu and all dishes from appetizers to entrees and desserts were great. Cocktails so different and lovely. Staff are attentive-great systems in place - as soon as you order your drink it's at your table. Highly recommend Casa Carmen.
