The flautas tasted like cardboard.
I asked for no lettuce/salad and extra cheese and guacamole ON the flautas. I got a plate of lettuce with a dab of sour cream and guacamole on top with cheese mixed into the lettuce. I do not eat lettuce as a garnish. I can't stand it with my Mexican food. - which I asked to not have it. My meal was cardboard. The salsa that was served with the chips had no flavor. I definitely will not be back to this location. The Casa Don Juan on has much much better tastes and service.

RUDE staff!!DO YOURSELF A FAVOR GO SOMEWHERE THEY APPRECIATE Your BUSINESS!!!!Less than one star after being told that my wait would be 35 mins we sat outside patiently in the hot sun for our table. About 30 mins into the wait I went up to check with the bimbo at the reception desk and she said very uncertain like we would be next to sit. Then a family of 3 walk up and I hear the woman tell the bimbo that they needed a table, well needless to say the bimbo and her large hostess seat this family within on 10 mins waiting! Now I'm pissed since it going on 40 minutes we are waiting so I ask the bimbo what's going on and she said they were a larger group so they sat them ! We'll say no more this place sucks when it comes to customer service and fairness! The bimbo and her large hostess seem to get a kick by giggling at my wife and I as we left! Good riddens can't imagine the owners or food can be any good if they approve of this type of bs going on!Puke out!

Second review after , being away for a few years due to Covid & not being in town. Took friends out for a Birthday Lunch. No reservations. Sign in & for a Sunday around noon business was steady& busy. Waited not long & got seated in a nice booth for four. Ordered from our waiter, Enrique who was pleasant, no rush guy, very patient & friendly! We ordered & dined while waiting for our meals chips with red salsa & bean dip. Delicious! The meals we ordered were traditional & what we expected & all was fine. The vibe was very enjoyablewith live music playing & we got a group of staff to sing Happy Birthday for a dear friend, who was very surprised ,thanks to Enrique for his terrific customer service. Lunch ended with a plate of Churros with a splash of whipped cream & chocolate. A nice time & a good restaurant especially if you have guest. A true hidden gem in Down town Las Vegas!
🤢
The customer service wasn't good.
So many waiters and workers walking around without a care for those getting up to leave or use the restroom. Our waiter who didn't even introduce herself pressured us even before we were seated ( we were waiting for a booth to be cleaned) the second we sat down she came and stood at the end of our table without saying anything. We continued to ordered chilaquiles with over MEDIUM eggs. The chilaquiles lacked flavor and the eggs were over cooked. Our waiter didn't come and check on us until our plates had been picked up. I had to ask a different person for our check. Over all what killed for me was the service. I don't think this particular person was a good waiter at all. Won't be returning.
🤮
I went today at 12 noon.
And was greeted at the door very rude because I had my service animal she went in to talk to manger and came back out side and said move and another hostess sat us down ! I guess she was told we could have our service animal she looked up set because we were able to eat their with our service animal Second I went to talk to the Manager on duty and his eye were blood shot red he looked to be under the influence of weed/ wax pen . So I didn't even really wanna talk to him since he could barely keep his eyes open and he had a really scary smile on his face just smiling for no reason ?! Then we ordered our food 3 plates 3 people 1 soup 1 2 cheese enchiladas beans and rice 1 taco ,enchilada , beans and rice 3 drinks Well when the food came they mistakenly game us chicken enchiladas so we told them and they corrected the issue When is was time to pay she said I went ahead and took of the enchiladas plate for the inconvenience we were happy to hear that but !!! We soon realized she added the 2 cheese enchiladas plate and the 2 chicken enchiladas plate that we didn't order she only removed the plate that we didn't even order So be aware they are not to happy to serve customers service was not up to par as it use to be and the manager is no help he is under the influence They tried to say they gave us a deal for the inconvenience but they added the extra plate we didn't even order and took it off so the receipt says discount on it to me that's a scam to get you to leave a tip after ruining your lunch I definitely did not tip them I wish the Onwer was there today

I finally came back after a few years, and it's better than i remember! the food is delicious, you can't go wrong with anything. We went on first friday so it was open later than usual, and it was quite busy, but we got sat right away! Our server was polite and the food came out quickly. Very happy with our dinner!
🤢
No sauce on the relleno and the tamales were dry.
Waited an hour for our food. Filled ourselves with chips and beans. I swore I wouldn't be back but it was my daughters birthday. She clearly said no tomatoes and the filled her burrito.

great food and outdoor seating
second time since 2019 (when I found this place by chance) good family restaurant, my wife and friends liked it.
🤮
I am choosing zero stars.
I have gone to this restaurant multiple times for many years since they've been open. First time I ordered a Cadillac margarita. I watched them pour a well margarita. Naturally I said some thing and they told me I had to say premium Cadillac to get what is a Cadillac everywhere in every bar top shelf. So we learned to be more clear and tell him we wanted top shelf Cadillac. Many times when I sat there ' cause we always sit in the bar. I have watched drinks be returned three drinks in 30 minutes. That tells me that they are ripping people off. People know what a drink taste like when they drink it all the time. So this last time we went we sat down and the place was very busy. They brought us a chips and salsa we told them very clearly that we wanted to top shelf Cadillac margaritas I watched them. We watched the bar and watched them pour us a well drink and begin to serve it as our Cadillac margarita at that time they were $14 apiece. I told my husband we're leaving put five dollars on the table for chips and salsa we're out of here. So time went by Covid went by we decided we give them another try. My husband and I again were very clear that we wanted top shelf margarita Cadillac margaritas. I watch the guy pour something from a picture like a premixed mix intro glasses and I couldn't tell if he was pouring tequila or not into my drink. So he brings my drink I taste it it taste like a fruit drink Cadillac margaritas do not taste like fruit drink. He asked me what I thought of the drink and I told him I didn't think it was very good so he went behind the bar got a glass poured something in it I don't know if it was water he's obviously was trying to give us the impression that it was more tequila came back to our table and poured it in our drinks. So I'm gonna tell you my drink still was awful tasted like a bad fruit drink no tequila in it that I could tell. By the way we drink these everywhere we go. My husband he was worried about driving home turns out he never got a buzz at all and he had supposedly two shots in his drink. My point in telling you all this is these people are definitely watering down their liquor you are not getting what you're paying for. Their food is horrendous. We will never go back and if you're smart you won't go there either. These people are definitely ripping you off with a straight face. It's happened to many times for it not to be true. So we have decided to go other places and we have found places that guess what my tequila is in my Cadillac margarita! Bye bye Casa! You should be ashamed!!!!!
🙂

Staff was attentive and welcoming.
That salsa tho....mmmm...so good..I could eat just that and be happy. It's a Cute Lil spot with indoor or outdoor seating, cute decor. Tons of different margarita flavors... wifey had Watermelon and she was not disappointed!
My family and I came to celebrate my husband bday and the waitress we got was so rude. Then they brought the food and there was a hair on my food i had told the waitress she said she couldn’t do nothing about it. Didnt not even offer a new plate. Then i ask for the manager and he was worst he was very rude . He said he couldn’t do nothing about it since i had eat the food when clearly i didn’t eat the food and the waitress seen that. Worst customer service never eating here again .
🤢

Apparently, when you order a Super Wet Burrito with no lettuce or pico, it comes with an entire salad wrapped inside. Other than the main entree, everything else was fine.

If you want good Mexican food I would look elsewhere, not only is the food mediocre at best but the management is passive aggressive. If you are looking for a family friendly place this is NOT it

Attention to the owner Raul of restaurant Casa Don Juan, we
Attention to the owner Raul of restaurant Casa Don Juan, we are very upset and offended by your Manager service. We asked the waiter that there was a mistake in our bill and the waiter said he couldn't do anything about it but he needed to talk to his manager. The man wearing a blue suit came to us and asked us what was the problem. As my father and mother tried to explain to him why we were getting charged more (4.00 difference) he said he didn't have the time to go over the menu with us but the bill is final and the there's nothing to fix. His tone was heavy and attitude was aggressive. As my mother 75 years old tried talking to him he turned his face and told her he was very busy with other customers and walked away. This is not a manager! This not how you treat customers that are paying for their service. Especially not the way to treat older people that are trying to get an understanding of why the bill was more. DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT! and if you do make sure you check your bill and get charged for the correct food you order. This was the worst service we have ever gotten. I will not recommend any of my friends or family to go to casa Don Juan.
🤮
DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ACCUSED ON WALKING
DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ACCUSED ON WALKING OUT ON YOUR BILL!!! My family came here yesterday 3/15 and the service was terrible. The waiter Cruz took over 10 minutes to take drink orders. The food did not come out until almost an hour and a half after being seated. The waiter never bothered to check up on us to see if we needed anything. The waiter Cruz was slow and not attentive at all and took forever to bring out the bill. By the time we were ready to leave my family and I went outside and my dad stayed inside to pay the cashier. He let the cashier know he was stepping away to use the restroom and during that time the waiter ran out to follow us and say that the bill was not paid. He tried to accuse us of walking out on the bill when my Dad was inside because he was going to pay. He humiliated us in front of other customers and didn't even apologize for accusing us of walking out without paying. DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!!!!
🤮
We always go there when we are in town We stoped in on
We always go there when we are in town We stoped in on Sunday evening. We were happy there was no wait. Not a few minutes later a waiter dropped a margarita. The glas fell and broke. Glass on my feet. My wife ordered steak salad and I ordered chicken soup. The waiter cam back and said they were out. I replaced my order with cocido. The food came and everything looked good. My soup was deceiving. Tons of cabbage. Two pieces of squash. Corn and one carrot. But the beef. There was a lot of it. I thought they were being generous. Wrong. They were trying to get rid of it. It was so tough. So much Fat and connective tissue it shriveled up. It was looked like a baseball glove. I could barely cut it. Disgusting. I told the waiter and he said he would see what he could do. When he brought the bill he said there was nothing he could do. No apologies. We won't be going back.
🤢
I had some friends in town who really wanted to go to
I had some friends in town who really wanted to go to Juan's Flamin' Fajita but my lazy ass did not want to drive 30 minutes so I was desperately looking for some place closer to downtown. We found on this spot and saw that the atmosphere is super cute. The atmosphere is, indeed, super cute. They have beautifully painted walls, spacious interior, paintings of Frida by Frida everywhere, and the best part of it all, the servers were all dressed up. The men were sharp and the ladies wore gorgeous flowery dresses. Amazing! The food though, left much to be desired. The server recommended the fajitas to me so my friend and I both got it. It was a sad dish. Hardly any meat, I wrapped up mostly onions and peppers. No flavors. My friend got the huevos rancheros and it was the saddest dish I've ever seen come out of a restaurant. It was pretty much just two eggs. I will be making the 30 minute drive to Juan's Flamin' from now on, gas prices be damned.
😍
We stayed in Vegas and were looking for authentic Mexican
We stayed in Vegas and were looking for authentic Mexican food before our flight back to WA. We found the perfect spot! The girls at the door were dressed in beautiful attire. It almost felt like we were in Mexico. The waiters and staff were so friendly. The food was amazing! The beer was cold and the margaritas were delish. Thank you Casa Don Juan
🤮
Giving a one star just because I have to! This place
Giving a one star just because I have to! This place Customer service sucks! Had been years since I had gone, decided To give them another try yesterday. The food quality for the price is over priced for rice and beans. Not to mention they got a new POS system which caused them to charge me four times. I had told the server my card was already charged three times to not charge it again he said in his end it was declined because the receipt Came out as declined. I showed him the screenshot of the pending charges on my account and clearly told him not to charge it again. It seems if I had told him go ahead and charge it again. When I asked for a manager all I can simply get is a sorry to be understanding they got a new POS system and it was not their fault as I told the manager and I believe the owner I told him it was not my fault either as a customer. They didn't even offer to give me a discount or a free drink anything just to make me feel they Were truly sorry for the situation. I will be disputing these charges with my bank I should've had listen to my instinct and not had gone lesson learned I will never be going back again. Save your money and go off the strip to a different Mexican restaurant trust me it will be worth it. I would recommend el diamante, Las islitas, You won't be disappointed.
😍
Food and drinks were amazing! Device was on point.
We got here before the rush. Penty of indoor and outdoor seating. Will definite be back.
😒
Decent Mexican food in downtown Las Vegas.
We received quickly on a first Friday night and the food came out relatively fast. Food was OK but I could I use a little bit more spice and depth of flavor. The free chips and salsa could've been a little bit spicier and the free bean dip could have been a lot more flavorful as well. Really a big menu with lots of different combinations. The food did look very authentic though. I would just say it's an average Mexican restaurant nothing blew me away but it was still good.
🤮

We were seated at 12:42, it's currently 2 and we have yet to receive our food. Talked to the manager and he did not seem to care about the bad service. We visit often but that will definitely be changing. Highly disappointing.
🤮
Before the shut down I had a bad experience here with food
Before the shut down I had a bad experience here with food and service. Its time for a new chance for all. I went back last week. Now, I wish to share. It's early, before dinner, at almost 445.I know we didn't have a reservation but we were going to chance it. It's a weekday.! Why not! We were told a 20 min wait. Rudely. I was shocked. It was so dismissive and a blank stare at me came with it. My friend went back in. Because my mouth was wide open. And she asked for someone else. So, Another lady told us no room at the bar and a 20 min wait. And just looked at us. What happened to wanting your business ?? How about a smile and can we get you a water or a cocktail ??? And or - what's your name it will go quickly. Thanks for coming in or anything !!! ???? Or even, here's the menu , we will get you seated shortly. (Whereas I would have been just fine to wait the 20 min) but Just a stare and nope. Abrupt and "I don't care that you walked in the door" attitude - will not get you a second chance. It was like why are you here ????So I guess I might have just saved myself from the repeat of horrible service and awful food and nightmare issues after eating here the time before.
🤮
We had a party of 16 and the service really sucked we spoke
We had a party of 16 and the service really sucked we spoke to the manager Martha about the situation and she did not care I asked to speak to someone above here and she said she was the boss I believe for her being a manager it's bad I would never go back to the restaurant again or host a party
🙂

Came on a Saturday night about 5pm and there was a 15 minute wait. Great service and food was 4/5 stars . The cheese enchiladas were lacking taste, but the crunchy shredded beef tacos , per my husband, we're , "the best he's ever had." I'll have to try it next time we're in Vegas since he scarfed it down! We were in and out in about 45 minutes , which was perfect since we had a show to attend. We'll definitely be back for the free chips, yummy beans, tamarind margarita and the amazing crunchy tacos!
😍
Whenever we are passing thru Vegas and feel like Mexican
Whenever we are passing thru Vegas and feel like Mexican food this is our go-to place. Always good, authentic Mexican food, great atmosphere along with efficient staff. Margaritas are great too. Had tamale and chili relleno which was great.
😒
Food ok but lacks spice for my taste.
Frozen margarita didn't have much flavor. Nice interior but noisy.
😍
everything was amazing.
the decor, the service and the food. Employees wear beautiful uniforms and serve the food pretty fast.
🤮
first and last time to visit this place
the was just ok but was not hot, it was so dirty inside. the margarita was so bad i could not drink it for $15.
😒

If you like actual, real, authentic Mexican food this is not the place. It is however really good (Oakey) Tex Mex. Very Americanized. My Southern Texas Grandma would have loved it l, however I wasn't a fan. I was raised in a very Mexican small town in CA.
🤮
WORST Mexican Dinner EVER
A friend recommended this place to eat in the revitalized artsy part of Main Street. I read the reviews and thought I would try it. First impressions were good. The frontage of the restaurant is cute and lively. Inside it has more of a "cafeteria" look. The seating is just average, though the walls are bright.
We first ordered drinks at the bar. My Cadillac Margherita was, at best, average. The drink didnt taste like it had any alcohol. Plus ,the price was expensive.
We then were seated at a standard, uncomfortable, booth. The menu is extensive. Its hard to maneuver the menu. I ordered the Pollo Endiablado, which was the worst Mexican dish I have EVER had. The chicken was very thin and way over cooked. Then it appeared the cook just spread a LARGE amount of garlic over the top of the chicken. It was TERRIBLE! For $19 it was a ripoff. I could hardly eat the chicken and left 3/4 of meal uneaten. Its now 2 1/2 hours after dinner and I am still suffering from the garlic.
I dislike leaving bad reviews. I try to find some good quality in a restaurant, unfortunately I can't find any redeeming quality with this place. I WILL NEVER RETURN
My suggestion is for anyone reading this review is to go to Bonita Michoacan for a EXCELLENT dinner.
Casa Don Juan is a great choice if you are looking for good Mexican food at reasonable prices in Vegas. Located in the Art District with tons of great bars and shops surrounding it, Don Juan’s offers good service, great decor and solid traditional Mexican food. Margaritas are just ok, a bit too syrupy, but the salsa and bean dip are great.
I will definitely go back next time I’m
In town, as well as tell friends and family about this spot.
Not your typical Mexican restaurant. The tacos are made from real fried tortillas. The staff is friendly, quick, and attentive. Great ambience
😍
Our trip to Las Vegas in our Anniversary
