We arrived 30 minutes early to our reservation and was sat in the bar while we waited. When it came time to our reservation we waiting 15 minutes before I went to the hostess to ask the status for our table. She said they were working on it. 10 minutes later I followed up with the manager and he said they were "working getting us the best seats in the restaurants" when it cane to 9pm we were sat at the table closest to the hostess stand. The table was unacceptable. People were walking into out seats because it was the most inconvenient spot. We then asked to move and the hostess said the wait would be another 35 minutes. The manager came back and said he will move us and escorted us back to the bar saying out table we were going to sit at the guests just paid and they were setting up to us. While waiting at the bar I was looking at the empty tables outside for 10 minutes and they sat us at a table that was completely empty even before we were waiting. While sat we did have great service and the food was delicious. Its just a bummer everything leading up to that wasn't up to par with the food.

We've eaten here several times over the years when visiting Miami. We've had incredible meals but this last visit in March 2023 was disappointing. Half the meal was great, the other half just good. You kind of want consistently great at these prices.

When bad service happens to good food
Long story short, we had a very sad, bad night here, but we were amongst friends so we were able to laugh it off... until we weren't. We were so excited to go on a gals dinner to Casa Tua and, while the food was good, the staff and service were rude and condescending. We never knew our server b/c we did not have a consistent one. We we were served stale bread and, without apology, did not have our wine or water refilled. We were seated at 8:30PM and did not leave until 12PM b/c no one would bring us a dessert menu, or our check, or just simply check in on us in general. It was truly so appalling I don't think we can ever, in our right minds, go back to Casa Tua whether in Miami or Aspen. There was no remorse, no apologies, just harassment for a tip and signature from the staff. It was gross. For shame! As a review "newbie," I feel strange even writing this review but this restaurant deserves to be audited and rethought as a top establishment in Miami.

This is a very elegant dinner spot located in Miami Beach.
My fiancƩ took me here after he proposed to me - it's a very romantic spot. The tables were decorated with lovely red rose petals and the entire restaurant appeared as though it was in a secret garden. The menu was, however, quite pricy.

Despite not having any openings, when I called, they still managed to make room for us. This was a very kind gesture, which also matches their service. The drinks were very good, with the exception of one drink. Forgot what it was called but it had Prosecco, Campari, aperol, and more. We like aperol spritz, but this one tasted odd to us. On to the food... it was very hit miss. 1) Vitello de tonnato was really good. I'm used to having the carpaccio Alice's much thinner, but it was still excellent. 2) the bread is just ho hum. 3) bucatini cacio e pepe came out really undercooked. They admitted it wasn't done right and redid the dish for us and it was very good. More creamy and cheesy than I'm used to, but excellent flavor. 4) salmon with caviar sashimi was the beat thing we had. 5) veal Milanese was really disappointing and makes me wonder if they just have quality control issues in the kitchen. Breading way too thick and the veal was very over cooked. I would not recommend this dish. Overall, given this dinner for two was $400 and despite Miami being expensive, there are better spots. Been here twice and wasn't blown away on the first visit and the second visit ensured we won't be back. Too bad, because it is a cozy place with friendly service.

great spot with awful service
Everything was perfect, but the service was not. First because they didn't accept my card to pay the service bill, so we asked if we could pay the service taxes in cash, he didn't accept for a dollar! The taxes were 40, and he was so rude to us over one dollar, so we had to take another credit card - which would cost us more than 10% taxes because of it, cause he said he couldn't take a dollar from the service taxes - which is ALL places we CAN CHOOSE how much to pay!! We spent almost 300 dollars in the restaurant and they did such a RUDE thing with us because of a dollar!! It was so embarrassing!

The ambiance here is next level.
Right off the Collins Ave strip but once you enter the restaurant you wouldn't know it. The food and wine selection was incredible, definitely go for any pasta they offer. You won't be disappointed! The service was also great, some people working were a little pretentious but the servers we interacted with most of the time were amazing

My fav south beach Resturant.
The food is delicious; attentive serve in a beautiful space.

Pros: intimate, excellent wine selection, great location.
Cons: want to go back when it's a nicer night out so we can dine on the gorgeous patio. Went to Casa Tua on Saturday and unfortunately were hit with a rainy and cold day so couldn't enjoy the gorgeous patio. However, our server was fantastic and helped make our night incredible. He was great with suggestions on the menu and everyone was happy with their pics for dinner. We all agreed we want to go back soon and the food was fresh and flavorful.

Host was amazing and professional.
He caught that I wanted the outdoor dining and made accommodations for me. The server and busboy was amazing. Food was excellent and hand made fresh pasta tastes the best. Must do for a romantic night
Great evening with my husband and our friends We had very good gourmet Italian dinner Super cocktails Super music Good staff

Hilariously bad service! I tried making a dinner
Hilariously bad service! I tried making a dinner reservation online, following their link through Open Table, but every date I plugged in returned the error message that there wasn't anything on that date within 2 1/2 hours of my requested 8pm. I looked for their phone number on their website to call instead, but this was not provided. A website which doesn't volunteer a phone number?! Next, I Googled and found it, called, and asked about an 8pm reservation for this Saturday. No, not available. What about next Saturday? Without answering this question, I was told that I would have to call back another day as reservations are only taken between 10am and 4pm - it was two minutes past 4pm! Whereas she had time to repeat that their policy is to get ready for dinner service at 4pm, and time to explain why I hadn't been able to make a reservation online (despite still having the Open Tables link on their website and no phone number to call). Casa Tua was recommended to us by friends in Florence, Italy but from the reviews it's apparently fallen off the cliff recently. I'll have to let them know. Casa Tua, which markets itself as aspiring to emulate the home of a friend, succeeds in emulating the home of a very disturbed person you'd be crazy to befriend.

Fantastic food great service.
Very special restaurant and romantic Expensive place but excellent!

Really depends on what you are after
The setting, if you are outside, is fantastic, their garden is deservedly famous. The place is packed and dynamic. We we ready for the cons, so we enjoyed the place. The cons are: pretty ridiculous prices (and DEFINITELY ask for the price before ordering a special, many of them are arnd $150) and the food is really just ok, certainly not great. So, if you are not going for a culinary experience, but for the romantic night and people watching, you will be ok. Book well in advance.

Expensive coffee shop
Casa tua has declined 500% in the last year or so, they overbook the place to the point that service is HORRIBLE, i have been coming to Casa Tua for years and have never seen this place like this, you can hear employees complaining about the treatment they receive, Servers are completely lost, barely yoi can understand what they say, employees walk around with the death sign on her faces, whats going on with this place? I have been at the club couple of times since i am friend with the members, its horrible lately, i dont know if the owner changed the managers or whoever is managing the place but Casa Tua is sinking down very fast, the only positive thing is the food, food is still amazing but everything else is horrible, its like a trattoria or a factory where they only care about the money, passion and love is lost.

Average, overpriced and under serviced
Venue is special, the decor inviting but Iām afraid it all stops there. I specifically reserved indoor table and we were awkwardly shuttled outside. Aside from cold temps which, of course, are beyond control - the food is barely average ā presentation + delivery limp. The service is erratic, staff everywhere standing around chatting. Once served, no one bothers to check in on things at table-side. Sommelier enthusiastically up sold an expensive Barolo as bold and big which was anything but, chef audibly screaming in the kitchen ā the whole evening was an expensive bust. Having a few earlier lovely visits, something has been lost at Casa Tua, sadly.

Great service and ambience
Casa tua never disappoints from the quality to the service! Go on Wednesdays for a unique surprise!
We love Casa Tua in Aspen so had to dine in Miami while we were in town & it did not disappoint. Food was exactly the same as Aspen & was happy to see my favorite drink also on the menu. Beautiful inside & outside but we chose inside since itās Miami in July and again had a wonderful dinner. They even brought out a complimentary Tiramisu for my bday.

Beautiful restaurant with great food.
It is difficult to get a reservation so make sure to plan ahead. Finding parking is difficult, but the restaurant has valet. I went here for my anniversary and the staff decorated the table with rose petals and sat us in a more private area outside. The Fettucine with Wild Mixed Mushrooms, Black Truffle and Parmesan Cheese Fonduta, and Cacio e Pepe were delicious. I will definitely be back for another special occasion.

Tried to get reservations for an anniversary and it took 3 weeks to get in. I'm not sure what all the hype is about as this was a very disappointing experience. Waited at the bar for 45 mins while our table was being "prepared" even though the dining room was not even half full at 9pm. The food could be compared to Nello's in NYC- way overpriced and completely bland. Service was not friendly, no manager came over to check on us even though it was an anniversary dinner that I clearly mentioned when making the rez. The proprietors of this establishment should be charged with robbery after getting the check... Would never go back.

Booked this place as soon as we knew we would be in town.
Great white cloth service and ambiance.Had the Mediterranean seabass & truffle pasta which was delicious but not so impressive in terms of flavor. Food was ready extremely fast. Our drinks were below average especially the aperol coctail which was named casa tua was so bad.Very cool vibe but I found it to be a bit overrated and extremely expensive for the quality of food & drinks. Not sure if i will go back just for the ambiance & decor.

Restaurant is pretty but the food doesn't taste that great.
Very overpriced for what it is and very small portions also. If the taste of the food would have been great, I wouldn't have minded how small the plates were but the food was mostly bland and really did not taste fresh.

The best dining experience iāve ever had
Eating at Casa tua was the highlight of my entire vacation to miami beach. I read on their website that the restaurant was made to feel like youāve stepped foot in a family/friends home and it was exactly that. The bar tender gave us free shots while we waited for our table outside and was extremely friendly. The scenery was magical, and the food was outstanding. Our waiter bobby was the nicest server and made great conversation and shared interesting background about the restaurant. Although itās pricey, itās worth every last cent. 12/10 experience.

Most romantic spot in Miami! Can't go wrong for date night or a special celebratory evening. I've never had issues with the food or service, make reservations and show up dressed to impress, the rest will fall into place.

Maitre D was very nice and professional.
.. HOWEVER... made a reservation on Open Table 30 minutes prior. Specifically checked dress code because I am in shorts. Dress code said no tank tops , hats or flip flops. Nothing about shorts. They turned me away. I asked to make an exception because of Owner/Management incompetence of not having that clearly on Open Table. They said no. Woman hostess snootily said "well, we call everyone to confirm reservation and remind them of no shorts." Yeah, I booked it 30 mins prior and didn't receive a call. Thanks for your input. Also... many women inside wearing shorts. So this is gender discrimination? If i identify as female am i allowed in? Btw... frequent Joel Robechon weekly with the same attire. No issues. Save your money. No Casa Tua for you!

I wouldn't recommend that you dine here if you're a POC.
You will find yourselves ignored by staff and stared at in disgust by the other patrons. Truly one of the most uncomfortable dining experiences I've ever had in my life. The food was thoughtful and well-presented but nothing in particular was worthy of a brag. The scenery was beautiful and serene, with vines clinging to the walls and homey touches throughout. But again, please note the above if you are a POC.

Fantastic ambiance, service and food.
Terrific experience and will be a staple in all of our future Miami Beach trips.

Casa Tua is a place with solid, upscale Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, but that's not why you come here. This is a Miami Beach hotspot, where you come with your group of beautiful friends to see and be seen. If you're just coming here for dinner, you're missing the entire point. There is plenty of people watching, a lively restaurant and bar scene, and a loud yet intimate elegance. Money is no object here, but you've come to impress, so make the most of it. For hip South Beach dining, this is definitely one of the better locations.
