Casey's Pizza San Francisco Reviews from The Last 180 Days
We live in the neighborhood and frequent Caseys almost once a week. One of our favorite restaurants in the city and dare I say the best pizza in SF! Try east coast and arugula pizza. You won't be disappointed! -Jessica S.
Located just down the street from us, we ordered Casey's Pizza to try out a new neighborhood pizza joint! We ordered online for pickup through the their website (DoorDash, Uber, etc had slightly higher pricing) which was easy to use. It did take us a moment to realize that the item description was located at the very bottom of the screen when you click on the item to see it. It took about 15-20 min and we were alerted through text when it was ready. When we picked it up, it was still hot and they provided a side of pepper flakes and parm (the parm looked like it was freshly shaved vs prepackaged or powdered parm which was nice) - Bianca ($25)mozzarella, ricotta, garlic, basil, gran padano, (added mushroom for $2.50)The flavor of the pizza was really good. I'm a big fan of ricotta and I really enjoyed each bite of ricotta dollap. The add on of mushroom was also a nice touch. The pizza itself was thin crust with a thin/medium crust.
We ordered online through the website and it was ready for pick up within 15 minutes! When we got there, the pizza was still fresh and warm when we got it. We ordered the Bianca pizza and added mushrooms. Overall, the flavor of the pizza was really good and tasted fresh. The mushrooms were the perfect touch that pulled together all the flavors. One touch I really appreciated was the Parmesan cheese was freshly grated (not like those packets of parmesan cheese)! Something you don't see to often at pizza places. We'll definitely be coming back to try their other pizzas!
Best pizza in Mission Bay - good selection of super tasty pies, their ingredients are incredible. The scene is cool, great staff and friendly patrons - modest price for the quality and consistency - I hope they keep growing!
We came here on a Wednesday night, since it's one of the few restaurants in Mission Bay. The seating outside is convenient, and is quite pretty and well-lit!We started with a burrata arugula salad. The burrata was super creamy and rich, and was really enjoyable to spoon onto the crunchy bread slices. The arugula was super lemony; it made sense as a balance for the burrata, but the proportion was also quite off. We had over half of the arugula left over by the time we finished the bread and burrata, but were hungry enough to just bear the sourness. We also wished the bread was warm!We got the spicy pie, which was a salami, ricotta, honey, and basil based pizza. It was amazing. The salami was high quality; the flavors were strong, and it was cooked to crispiness but still with some chew. The honey added a delightful sweetness (although this is probably a per person flavor choice). The crust was also super crispy, but had enough structure to hold the pizza together well. The flavor of the ricotta was drowned out entirely for me, but I didn't mind the addition. Would definitely recommend! The only reason this is not a 5 star review was the service. It took us ~40 mins to get our pizza, with only 2 other tables being served. When I went to ask about our pizza, the staff was pretty dismissive and rude, as if the wait was expected (even though a table that came later with a larger order got theirs 10 minutes before us).
Casey's frozen pizza arrived beautifully packaged in an insulated envelope with strategically placed ice packs The margherita itself was sophisticated, yet simple. The crust was a bit heartier than cracker thin-crust pizzas, but not at all carb-y where you feel the need to intermittent fast for the rest of the week. The toppings were thoughtfully adorned in Type-A manner and ideally wholesome - the flavors of fresh ingredients shine on their own. Bake time minimal, and the pizza on re-heat tasted just as good as it did upon first bake. A pro of Casey's frozen pizza is you forgo waking up with a Sahara-dry mouth dying of thirst from the excess sodium so many mass-produced frozen foods contain (Hi Amy's). No more stumbling into the kitchen to chug 5 gallons of water in the middle of the night. And Casey's simply tastes better. I ate everything. Even the edges.
Stopped by here super last minute on the way to a show at the Chase Center. It was a really busy night for restaurants in the area and we'd already gotten iced out of a couple others so we were just going to grab a pizza and find somewhere to eat it -- Casey's isn't doing indoor dining right now and all their outdoor tables were full. We snagged glasses of wine to drink while we waited for our pizza and tried to just shark the full tables. However, we got super lucky, and the folks added an extra table outside for us so we could sit and eat there and enjoy our pizza and burrata and wine and it was just such a nice thing that they didn't have to do. We had the burrata and honestly it was SO good, plus the arugula on the side almost outshone the cheese. We also ate the Wise Gal pizza (shout out to Kamala) and it was also HEAVEN. It was such a great experience when we thought we were striking out.
Brought together a group of my girlfriends before a show at Chase Center. Started off with drinks and really appreciated the beverage selection. My friend is REALLY into wines and she was pleased to find something she liked. Another friend got a cider and she thought it was really different and surprising in a good way. The beers all sounded amazing--we'll have to try those out the next time. Definitely a great place to go if you are into craft beers. (There is Pliny on tap! )The parklet had a roof and heater and we were pretty comfortable, though we did choose to keep our jackets on (it is December, after all!). We appreciated the flexible seating arrangement to push the tables together. We got there on the early side 5:25ish so there were plenty of seats, at first. The place got REALLY popular as we got closer to 7, though. Lots of takeout and delivery orders, as well, but service was always great, and we had no issue getting to our show on time. Even as popular as it was at 7, it seemed there was always seating for two available. Finally, the food was SO good, but I knew it would be. I've ordered many of the pizzas through Door Dash and typically order the Bianca (with bacon and hot honey) and the Popeye (love that goat cheese). This time I got to try things I hadn't ordered before--the bacon kale and arugula. Also ordered a fennel sausage, again. It was all soooo good! The dough is probably the *best in the city* for thin crust in my humble opinion. Kale always sounded too healthy for me but actually it was great, and I'm gonna order it again in the future! I loved that lemony finish! And I can't say enough for the quality of meats that go on these pizzas! I mean, all the ingredients are amazing but that bacon and sausage, OMG. So good. I'm actually dreaming of that bacon right now! There are also spicy options if that's your style. The pizzas are sized well and we had a lot of food to share. We also ordered the burrata and the Lil Gems Caesar salad to share and it was perfect. One of us didn't have pizza but she got the seasonal salad for herself and she was raving about it.It was all very reasonably priced for the premium quality of food! I highly recommend eating at Casey's and will probably come back with my friends again, especially since it's such a short walk to Chase Center!
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
