I cannot think of a better brunch then at Catch.
Let's start with the scene as you walk in. A floral garden walkway greets you as you enter the space. Perfect for pictures and be sure to snap them quickly. We were seated in the main area. The panoramic view allows light to flow through the space overlooking LA as you dine. Start your brunch with the Moët flight. The food is served in portions to share with those at your table. Try the cinnamon pancakes and turkey sausage. I've been here enough to try most of the brunch menu. You can't go wrong. Sushi rolls, mushroom spaghetti, and the steak and eggs are great eats too. Love this place.

Atmosphere is beautiful and our server was very attentive for being a busy. We got fries, steak and eggs, crispy rice with tuna, and poke bowl. Poke bowl was small but it was delicious.

Had some friends make surprise reservations here and boy
Had some friends make surprise reservations here and boy was I glad ! It was my first time dining here and I enjoyed it through and through! Had some laughs with the waiter. Ordered some wine, my man got the eggs and steak and of course I stole some it was delicious! Too good I couldn't snag a picture with it. The poke bowl was so delicious as I'm writing this review I am craving it again! Even the water in this place was smooth and delicious. Maybe because the tap water in the valley isn't the best, but that water was so smooth and perfect. Totally a place worth the price. Fun vibes, great food good wine and amazing cocktails!
Went on a Saturday night couple weeks ago with my girlfriend. The buzz around LA is that this is one of the hot spots. Great active environment with suitable music. The booths were very comfortable! Had a couple different rolls and the bass, very well prepared (as it should be for the price). Not cheap but not crazy expensive. Will visit again when in LA.
🤢
Overpriced and over-hyped.
I can see how this place can be appealing because of the ambiance and high-class feel, but that is all this restaurant has to offer. The drinks are inconsistent (we ordered two of the same drink and they both tasted completely different) and the food quality and taste does not match the high price. The only dish out of the 7 we tried that we enjoyed was the crispy shrimp, it was delicious. The lobster Mac and cheese was the worst of the bunch, it tasted like Kraft Mac and cheese was mixed with blended lobster. Our server though, Dominique, was great. She was so attentive and friendly. Overall, skip this spot. It was a big disappointment. (And $9 for a double espresso and $21 for a well cosmopolitan? Come on...)
🤮
Overrated and way too expensive for that kind of service.
We waited 40min to be seated, and than another hour to get food and another hour for dessert. Crazy. Il never go back.

We had the worst experience at Catch tonight, so bad that I
We had the worst experience at Catch tonight, so bad that I decided to write a review which I don't normally do unless they're positive. First, we waited for 35 minutes for our table. Then, the waiter took forever to come take our order. I got a sprite, waited 10 minutes for someone to bring me a soda. I ask for a sprite again, not soda, they forget and don't bring it until I remind them again 30 minutes later. At that point, a guy that was waking by pushes our table and knocks our drinks down spilling that sprite all over me and my leather jacket. I guess the sprite wasn't meant to be? :)You would think someone would come and help us wipe down the table and booth. Nope, not for a while. Our sushi came , no soy sauce, no chopsticks. Again, took forever to flag them down to ask for it. We ordered a desert, it took 40 minutes. At this point we just wanted to leave, and took the desert to go. Our waiter could tell we were upset, so when we tried to get the check, he ignored us and sent someone else to drop it off. Horrible experience, do not recommend and will never be back.
🤮
I came here to celebrate my birthday with my friends.
They sat us at an outside table not by choice, Midway through dinner I felt something on my finger and realized it was a cockroach that had latched itself into my hand. I confronted the manager about it and she was so rude and basically told me because it's outside it's out of her hands and there nothing they can do about bugs. It's not like the outside area is in the streets, it's a third floor tented in area. And there's nothing she can do for me, other than give me her business card to get us reservations for next time. There will be no next time. For a five star restaurant to have cockroaches is absolutely disgusting. We didn't choose to sit outside and have dinner with cockroaches. Also the doors to the outside are open to the inside so I can only imagine the bugs that come in. So disappointed after spending $800 here.
🤮
We made a reservation for four people with special guest
We made a reservation for four people with special guest from Atlanta, we arrived 10 min before 8PM but unfortunately we waited more than 45 minutes and didn't get the chance to sit down . Shameful!
THE FOOD IS AMAZING. The prices is a bit expensive, but it's absolutely worth it. Give it a tryy
Awesome food, service, ambiance. Sashimi, Snapper, Catch Roll, Hit Me Cake. Napa Manhattan and One Too Many for drinks.
Nice viewWouldn't really recommend the brunch.I got a dish with eggs meat and spaghetti sauce, no lie felt like I had to dig for the protein. It was mostly sauce. The drinks were good.My sisters been there before she said their fillet mignon is good.So I need to go during dinner time.

Parking: Had a difficult experience trying to park at the parking garage just right behind the restaurant - the machine only took cash at the time and some of my friends had to take a jog to the nearest ATM to withdraw some. Street parking can be a nightmare in this area too so maybe valet is the way to go. These issues are definitely not the restaurant's fault but just a tip for future visitors! Food: My friends and I didn't really arrive hungry so we mostly came for drinks and appetizers. For the price, the food quality and portion size don't exactly match up but I still had a fun time dining. My friends and I all agreed our favorite menu options were the desserts. If you visit here, PLEASE don't shy away from trying the desserts, even if you're too full lol. - Wagyu Gyoza- Lobster Mac and Cheese - Crispy Shrimp - Catch Roll- Donut Carousel- Hit Me Brownie and Ice Cream Ambiance: We arrived for our reservation for 6 people and were seated right away. The flower tunnel is super gorgeous but the staff were pretty anal about not taking photos there, despite our group being the only people in the tunnel area, so it was a bit of a mood killer. Once we were seated, we got the enjoy the decorations within our surroundings - a beautiful bar and plants all around. For many people who have poor service experiences here, I think the ambiance definitely is this place's saving grace. Volume wasn't too bad considering it's an open space. Service: Our server was super kind and accommodating and made our dining experience very much worth the annoying parking and expensive menu.
😍
The service was beyond excellent.
We got the Truffle Sashimi and it was incredibly delicious! Grilled Spanish Octopus and Seared Yellowfin Tuna dishes were delightful! We enjoyed tremendously.
😍
What an experience! Maybe it's the high elevation and fun
What an experience! Maybe it's the high elevation and fun little cocktails, but I loved loved loved Catch LA.We started our night with the Catch Roll. I had low expectations LOL I thought it was just going to be some ho-hum little spin on a California Roll, but NO! I was wrong. In short, it was delicious. The flavor profile was complex and changed continuously from bite to swallow. A must-order.Crunchy rice cakes were also good. Felt like something I would eat at a night market stall overseas. Like in a good way. King Crab Tempura was bomb as hell. A thin crunchy layer above flaky, soft crab flesh. What's not to like?Grilled Branzino was good. Well cooked, buttery. And then you must must must get the chocolate cake at the end as well! Amazing experience. Can't wait to go back.
😒
The service was great but the food was nothing to brag
The service was great but the food was nothing to brag about. I'd give food a 2.5/3 out of 5. Come here for cocktails and the occasional celebrity sighting or better yet save your money and go nearby to Gracias Madre or something actually more fabulous.
😒
It was an overall good experience but I expected more for
It was an overall good experience but I expected more for the price that we pay. I'm huge on customer service when we go to restaurants that charge above average. The customer service was average, not to mention the tables were so close together that it was so uncomfortable. I understand restaurants try to pack crowds and fit everyone in, but why make it so uncomfortable especially during the pandemic?
😍
Though a bit difficult to get a reservation, I can't say
Though a bit difficult to get a reservation, I can't say enough great things about our experience. Seating was immediate (res at 5:45) with patient hostess as we had to close bar bill. Our server Tapley was incredible! He described each item on the menu so well it was difficult to make choices. The sushi is great, the branzini was crazy good and the lobster was delicious. Just a note that we were a group of four and though the branzini and lobster were each meant for four we had both with nothing left on the plate. Dessert is a must (and I rarely eat dessert). We had the Ferris wheel of donuts...so good. Can't wait to go back again.

I had a great time at catch for my 21st birthday! I
I had a great time at catch for my 21st birthday! I celebrated with family on the night of and it was really great ambience but unfortunately, none of the pictures turned out well as a result. We ordered a plethora of different things from the menu and that just goes to show what variety Catch has. Fortunately for them, they do everything pretty well. My favorite was by far the filet mignon with truffle shavings. I paired it with a $44 glass of wine and it was amazing. I'd say $44 was a little overpriced but it was the experience that I was paying for. The filet mignon came cut into smaller pieces which took the worst part of eating steak out of the equation. It was so buttery and tender that I pretty much refuse to share with anyone else in my family. I would come again just for the filet mignon. Everything else I could do without. The wagyu was a little bit underwhelming compared to the one that I tried at Nobu, but it was still melt in your mouth deliciousness and I enjoyed the action of searing my own meat. One other thing I would recommend is the lobster mac & cheese. I think they did that very well and there was an ample amount of lobster hidden within cheesy goops of perfectly cooked macaroni. I love a mac and cheese that has a good cheese pull, and this delivered. Also, the Manhattan comes with your own flask that you get to take home with you! Best 21st bday souvenir.
🤢
This place is so Hollywood.
It's super trendy but the food is horrible for the price you pay. Not at all impressed. Great instaworthy photo opportunities and the drink are nice. This is a nice place to pre party or after party but definitely not to dine.
😍
Sooooo yummy and beautiful.
I got an amazing tower of waffles and sushi and both were so good.

This used to my favorite restaurant but their customer service is the worst and won't be coming back here again. If I could I would give less one star!!!

Went to Catch for a birthday dinner for a girlfriend of
Went to Catch for a birthday dinner for a girlfriend of ours. Rolling up to the valet was super easy and the guys at the front were very friendly. Went up the elevator and checked in for our party of 8 at 6:30 PM (we were early) and waited at the bar. Around 6:45 (there's a 15 minute grace period) more guests arrived and we checked in requesting +1 guest making us 9 and they said no problem and we all gathered by the bar to get drinks. An hour went by and we'd each go by the front to ask about our table and at one point the front desk basically snapped at us so we went back and decided to collectively be more patient. 2 hours went by and we were finally seated at the jankiest table I've ever seen. 9 people not only squished in a round table, but it was supposed to be a square table with little extensions at each side that came out. The extensions that made it into a round table fell on 2 sides almost dropping one of our drinks. We told the team it was unacceptable and they said we can wait for another table. So we ended up waiting another hour and finally, after so many follow ups, got seated at 9:30 PM at a bigger table.First we had one waitress and by the end of the night we ended up going through at least 2). Water was extremely hard to come by (at one point we even had to catch the attention of a waiter for water for the table next to us lol). Needless to say it was extremely rough. 9 people, who have waited 3 hours for a birthday dinner at a place that's supposed to be the best in LA... with no water and different waiters and waitresses.45 minutes into dinner, we were assigned Ratchelle who was a total blessing. SO organized and amazing. Made her rounds to all her table always with a smile on her face. The food runners and the waiter next to us (he had dark flowy hair) were more attentive than anyone before Ratchelle as well and together they all made our experience so much better. Ratchelle even told us that the appetizers were comped and made the rest of the night amazing. Thank you Ratchelle!! You'd think she was the manager with how well she handled us. Again, 9 people who were so distraught and were about to leave. Her and the comped appetizers are the only reason I'm giving this place a 2. The food was good but not amazing enough to wait 3 hours for. My favorite was the dressed oysters, grilled spanish octopus and crispy shrimp. We ordered the mushroom spaghetti that was super good too, even though they forgot the shrimp. I was excited for the lobster mac & cheese but it ended up tasting like ravioli; I don't recommend. If you're into sweets the whole dessert menu was good, my favorite were the beignets (I'm not a fan of SUPER sweet) that we got to inject with different sauces (caramel, creme, etc).Cool place for people watching as we saw some NHL players. The restaurant claimed to have a printing issue which apparently is the reason why we had to wait 3 hours, that explanation would've gone a long way when we asked about the tables vs the attitude we got in the front. I don't even blame the girls, based on the reviews I'm seeing this happens often and they're probably stressed out. If you come here, show up 30 minutes early, pack a water bottle and comfortable shoes.
🙂
5 stars for the hellfire roll, the seared yellowfin tuna
5 stars for the hellfire roll, the seared yellowfin tuna and the crunch rice cake with tuna (my favorite at every restaurant that serves it tbh)5 stars for the catch roll presentation but 3.75 stars for the taste 3.5 stars for the A5 wagyu gyoza (nothing too special and expensive for 4 pieces) 2.5-3 stars for the service -- for the price I'd expect more? Security (2 stars) seemed rude, when we were waiting to take a picture in the front since it was our anniversary, he said "if you're waiting for a table go over there" with a straight face. The bartender (2.5 stars) took a while to serve us and the menu she offered was a little wet. The waiter (3.5 stars) was very nice, wished us a happy anniversary but wasn't that attentive. (Although I did manage to flag him over for a picture - see attached) At 9 pm on a Sunday night, they were still extremely crowded, but the waiter seemed to think that was typical so maybe they're understaffed?1.5 stars for parking - $20 for the valet since the parking lot around the corner was full and melrose is near impossible for street parking. Overall, I'd return for the food but I've definitely had better service. (It now makes sense why there were so many takeout orders when we were checking in to go upstairs)
😍
Came for my 21st with my family! Amazing place, so jungle
Came for my 21st with my family! Amazing place, so jungle and cute! Everything was amazing. The Manhattan I drank came with it's own flask that's engraved with "Catch LA", which is the perfect 21st birthday souvenir! Everything was honestly delicious although I preferred the filet mignon over the wagyu...hot take? It was cut up for you and was topped with i think truffle shavings which was amazing. I said what I said. CATCH!

Hotspot in Los Angeles, reservations are hard to get and well worth the effort getting them. The restaurant is stunning with beautiful ambiance and lots of outdoor style feeling. The food is amazing and drinks are good too. My favorite is the lava dessert.

My BF and I come here often, beautiful reception area where always found people taking pictures, vibrant, always crowded and good for people watching. We have some regular orders and add specials and always end with "hit me" dessert, must have. Yesterday, ordered two specials including yellow tail with crispy spinach which was the best! Another special with salmon sashimi. Truffle trio sashimi is must. Albacore sushi is out of this world. My BF always get filet minion and I get sometimes octopus or fish or at this time king crab tempura. There is baked king crab roll which I haven't tried at this restaurant and seems very popular. So definitely recommend and I wish I can sit at the main dining area one day. Always sat outside patio or small side room.
😍
Catch was an experience of its own.
The ambiance set the mood ride for a lovely dinner with friends. We ordered several dishes to try but I went with the salmon dish.

My sister came here last year and adamant that we go for
My sister came here last year and adamant that we go for her birthday. How do you say no to that? Well you should. While I understand that a lot of weho businesses base their selves off rep than quality its sad to admit that this restaurant was no different. Location wise, this place is tricky to find parking. You can valet for $15 or park close by at a near by lot. This restaurant does book up quickly so look into reservations at least 2 weeks in advance. The entry way and rooftop is a big draw at this place. The entryway is cute and you know I had to get my pictures. We were seated pretty quickly. Being a group of 8 we expected a booth or a corner. They placed us in a pretty inconvenient area on a wobbly table. After about 15 min they came to ask if we wanted drinks or had any questions about the menu. We ordered drinks and didn't wait too long to receive. My thing came to the food. We were told that food comes out based on the dish and preparation. Meaning that once its ready you'll be served. While sounds typical but its a bit inconvenient when you're a big group and only 1 person gets their food. I ordered the steak and eggs at a hefty price of $41. I asked for medium rare. My plate was the last one brought to the table. And let me tell you, Idk if they had a cow in the back and just carved it but that meat was rare. Like rare rare. blood and everything. while I like a little blood, I'm no vampire. I waived the server over and told him. He said sorry and walked away but not before shooting a very pointed look at a nearby server. My food came back medium rare, and it was alright. Nothing special, no great flavor. I looked around the table and all the food looked ordinary. Their crispy shrimp which is their most ordered just tasted like regular shrimp. The sushi was subpar. The only thing we ended up liking was the dessert. In addition service was nothing to brag or be appreciative about. The waiters hardly checked on us. We didn't have water for half the meal and kept asking for it. Everytime we would speak or waive a server over we were met with eye rolls and attitude. This restaurant just seemed like your typical we're popular and popping so we don't have to provide quality service because people will come situation. Which is just terrible. You come to celebrate and have a good time to be met with this. I would not come back.
We order the Lobster, portobello steak, mushroom pasta, shrimp, sushi roll, mash potato lobster, and 4 dessert. Everyting was so good. And 3 beers and 3 cocktails. The only thing i did not like was the lobster mash potato.
🤮
This place is horrendous.
We arrived on time for our reservation to which the doorman looked us up and down and said they don't have a reservation under our name, we showed PROOF of our reservation and then he LITERALLY popped my friends tag from his shirt and laughed about it being a boohoo shirt. I have never witnessed such disgusting behavior. We headed over to Ysabel and was treated with much more respect.
😍
First time here and everything was great! I love seafood
First time here and everything was great! I love seafood and everything we ordered tasted really fresh. We ordered the MRC roll, Catch roll, King crab tempura, Charred broccolini, Sesame seared salmon and the Grilled spanish octopus. I want to say that my favorite is probably the Catch roll and the Grilled spanish octopus. Most octopus is a little chewy but this was perfect. Not chewy at all. Flavor in general for everything we ordered was great! Our server was awesome, giving us suggestions and coming back to see if we needed anything. The ambiance was romantic. We ended our meal with the Baked snickers pie and OMG...delicious! Something I will definitely crave every now and then. Definitely coming here again in the near future!
We had a reservation made for 6 at 8:15pm , there was a possibility we might have been late so to make sure we have no problems I called ahead then heard on a recording they give a 15 minute grace period , we then ended up arriving exactly at 8:15pm. We were then told to wait for our table, 100% understandable. Then something really strange started happening. We were noticing other groups come in after us and then be seated before us. It took an hour to finally get a seat after arriving at our reservation time. It was like they kept seating groups and people they knew. There were 2 hostesses and the manager Walter that kept frequenting the front desk. One of the hostesses had a bad attitude. Another who's name I can't remember was very kind she had blonde hair. Walter the manager was the rude as if he was born that way. He was a completely Disrespectful and discriminating human being. Never in the history of my visiting restaurants have I came across someone like that. Our waiter was nice and tried to make up for the terrible start to the evening. He did the best he could. The FOOD , it was good maybe average but extremely over priced. If only there was a ZUMA in LA.
🤢
This place is a tourist trap.
Food is meh. The prices for the amount of food you get is ridiculous. The lobster mac and cheese looked and tasted like boxed mac & cheese. I would not recommend.
Good, drinks, decor and superb service! I haven't had a bad server or bartender yet. Tapley though is brilliant... his knowledge of the menu is second to none and he truly adds to the 5 star experience. Weekends are fun but honestly... this is even perfect for a solo weekday outing. Yes, it lives up to the hype and more.
🙂

Had an amazing birthday experience at Catch! Our waiter was phenomenal and he brought out complimentary birthday shots which had a ginger flavor - so good! We were impressed with all of the food, especially the truffle sashimi - the fish melted in your mouth and the sauce was exquisite, not too heavy on the truffle. The rooftop environment was super cool and we loved the experience. We only wish some of the portions were bigger, but overall 9/10!
😍
Went back to celebrate a friend's birthday.
The food was still yummy. Tried multiple sushi dishes. And different drinks (maybe - was drunk last time so not too sure). FYI - There was no "complementary" birthday dessert. Be prepared to see a $20 charge on your bill. lol
🤮
We did a reservation for 8:30pm and came on 8:45pm.
The security didn't let us get in and also talked to us in a bad way. Also the manger was very not polite to us.
🤮
The food is so so and the service isn't that great either.
We had a 7:30 reservation on a Monday night and still had to wait almost 30 minutes to get seated. Definitely wouldn't go back
😒
Came for brunch for a friends birthday.
I've only been here for dinner and brunch menu was def underwhelming. Staff was nice but it def turned into a place where people go to Instagram every second of their lives etc... our waiter was nice but every dish when asking for a recommendation was "that's very Instagramable" lol I mean I care more about how it taste than if it's IG friendly. But I guess it's good to mention that for the people who did take a zillion pictures while there. Def come for dinner hour and the entry way doesn't disappoint. It's always pretty.
😍

We celebrated my Best friend's birthday and Dominique made our experience spectacular! She gave us great recommendations and even pick out our entrees. She is definitely the reason we will be back! Thanks Dominique!

Good food, nice atmosphere!
Catch LA is a nice spot to dine with friends. Visited here for brunch on 03/05/22 for a friend's birthday get-together. Had reservations, so was seated in a timely manner. The staff was friendly and our server was nice. We all ordered different things so we had a variety of foods to share at the table. The drinks were good as well, and the atmosphere was casual. However, this isn't a cheap place so be prepared to spend $$$$.
Never disappoints...not matter where the restaurant is. The tartar...to die for!!! Always order it! The lobster burguer is really good too! And the views of Beverly Hills and Hollywood...beautiful. perfect set up for amazing food
😒
Good Ambience, Average Food
Catch has been on my list for a while. Living here/visiting whatever the case, the place is hyped up to the max but it's kind of a restaurant you just need to tick off your list.
I booked a few weeks in advance to get a Saturday night, other days/nights are pretty ok, but Saturday evening spaces fill up fast.
We had a 7.30pm reservation, but were running late, and they were really great and accommodated a later time. When we got there we were quickly seated outside with a view and pretty rooftop vibes. Our server was pretty good and recommended the Sesame Seared Salmon and East Coast Kali for a drink, so we got that along with Parmesan Truffle Fries, Salmon A La Plancha & an Old Fashioned.
Sesame Seared Salmon ($25) - I liked the mix of Yuzu soy, hot sesame olive oil, toasted sesame seeds, ginger, chives. It was tasty.
Parmesan Truffle Fries ($17) - The fries had the perfect crisp & were so delicious . Very, very good.
Salmon A La Plancha ($37) - A little bit plain in comparison and not that memorable.
East Coast Kali & Old Fashioned ($20ea) - The Old Fashioned was ok, but the real deal was the delish jalapeño infused East Coast Kali cocktail which had an actual kick of spice, it was awesome.
Quantity 3/5 - Decent portion sizes.
Ambience 5/5 - Catch is all about the ambience - it's a fact.
Service 4/5 - Our server was friendly and helpful.
Taste - 3/5 - Food is good but not memorable, in terms of pricing would expect a bit more from the food.
Valet - $15.
Some Tips:
Good for Special Occasions, Date Nights/Days, Catch-ups or Brunch - WeHo vibes
Smart Casual - but it is dressy ppl
Reservations Only - Book in advance through OpenTable - especially if you want Saturday evening
Overall as I imagined, this place is ambience and insta-worthy pics galore and definitely an LA scene must-do. But not sure that I would be rushing to visit here again anytime soon. It's probably good to take out-of-towners but only if I can be bothered to, otherwise I'd take them somewhere else. Ambience is great, but it would be even better if the food was too.
