Lovely views and food👏
Had a lovely meal here with my family. Restaurant overlooks Brooklyn Bridge which is stunning. Pizzas did need slightly longer cooking as was a bit cold but that’s okay as tasted lovely. Truffle pasta was amazing. Thank you
Be the first to ReplyUnderwhelming and rude
Average fare and rude. Let me explain…. Booked on here a time slot for dinner a few days in advance. Greeted by a lady who found our reservation easily and asked us to wait. We were 10 mins early so no issue. New York is freezing at the moment so we had large coats. We were left for 15-20 mins and in the end I approached the desk. The lady avoided eye contact and kept serving and seating new customers. Eventually another server came to the desk and without conversation said wait and then proceeded to shout my first name at the new customers. I said my surname and he said no and repeated my first name in this frustrating comedy of errors. Irked I had to step forward and ask forcefully to clarify if this was a first name or last. At that point the servers Penny dropped and he briskly asked us to follow him without courtesy, introduction or welcome. I asked if he could take our coats which visually seemed to annoy him and off he went to seek some coat hangers. Minutes later he appeared and eventually we were seated in a lovely but cramped spot. We ordered pizza and pasta and had two drinks each. The waiter who took our order and served our food was brilliant but we were left soured by the first experience. When the food came it was nothing special in fact the bolognese wasn’t hot it was warm but deflated I paid the £100 bill and we left. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t visit again because there are plenty of other nice restaurants at that price point which are better. Other than the view we were disappointed
Be the first to ReplyBest experience of NY of my whole trip and easily too
Me and my partner have just had such a good meal and an even better experience at Cecconni’s Dumbo. I asked for their assistance in making our trip as good as possible due to the fact of it being my partners birthday. They really were 10/10 with us and the attention to detail was nothing short of impressive. The food was beautiful and the service was also fantastic. I can’t speak highly enough of my time here and I would recommend anybody to come and join them for a night atleast, I know I will be back again. The view was also absolutely stunning I really did have a great time the music everything was as close to perfect as could be. Thanks again guys
Be the first to ReplyNice restaurant.
Good food, service was excellent and the atmosphere was very nice. One of the service was awesome. Everything was perfect.
Be the first to ReplyGreat pizza and pasta
Had a wonderful early dinner after walking around Brooklyn. Cecconi’s didn’t disappoint, we had pizza and bolognese pasta. Lovely staff and great good.
Be the first to ReplyBellow average!
The food was a hit and miss. The pizza and pasta were good, the rest was average. The worst however was the service. I could go on and on but I will just say that it was well under par!
Be the first to ReplyGood Italian restaurant
Cecconi's is a good Italian restaurant in Dumbo with view over the water and skyline of Manhatten. Regarding the prices the food is good, but not excellent.
Be the first to ReplyVery good
The waiter Michael was very nice! The food also very good. The view is perfect. I had the octopus and was delicious
Be the first to ReplyThe arrival experience at the restaurant is not acceptable
It was a rainy night for dinner there. Booking was made in advance, also request for a table with a view. Got there and was seated in the lounge area, but not in the dinning area. I thought those lounge area is for walk-in or for drinks, but not a proper meal. We won’t go back again though the food is good.
Be the first to ReplyBelow expectations
Very average food, for example, asparagus cooked in water and tasteless, meat not seasoned. Very high noise, not nice service. The waiter does not have to make an effort because he gets min. 18% tip. Prices too high for the standard. I do not recommend
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing
Perfect location overseeing East river in busy tourist location. It was not too busy for Saturday afternoon, so we had option inside/outside seating. Food average for the price and being “upscale “ restaurant. Service is even worse. Our server was polite, but very snobby and made us feel uncomfortable. We had to ask at least twice and again to remind about 2d round of drinks, that we ordered, because food was coming so slow. We ordered 2 main entrees, to follow appetizers. It was probably 15-20 min later that I was brought my entree, after they served my husband. Noone was refreshing our water.
Be the first to ReplyStyle over substance for food but lovely location
Hmmm Beautiful outlook and very promising but like all this chain I don’t think I have had a nice meal and this was true to form. Nice service, lovely looking over the river but always disappointing food, never had a good meal in all the soho houses I have visited, London shorditch, Miami and now dumbo Overpriced and I have always been underwhelmed
Be the first to ReplyFabulous outdoor seating at this fabulous restaurant
I can't imagine a more perfect location for a waterfront restaurant. This place has a VERY long run of tables that front the East River and showcase the NYC skyline. The only separation between diners and the water is the very active pedestrian path that runs alongside the river and, rather than being unpleasant, that path makes a seat outdoors the best people-watching spot you can imagine. We even saw a bride and groom strolling. The tables are comfortable, the service was outstanding and the food was absolutely delicious. It was one of the nicest evenings I've spent in NY in ;years.

The food was much worse than I expected, it seems to be heated in the microwave!!! The service was below average, there was no one around and we had to stand up to call them.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic pizza and nice staff!
We ordered four pizza to share on four adults. Really good. Some of the best we ever have eaten. Friendly and service minded staff. I can highly recommend the this place
Be the first to ReplyGreat Place. Great View.
Make sure to be seated at a Window.
The food was great, not overpriced. Friendly and great Service.. .
Lost my order/Pizza. Was worth to wait for it and they didnt bill it w/o asking...so great Place.
Touristy but Fun
Visit to the Time Out Market and stumbled upon. Cecconi. Was the nicest of the 3 bars in the market. Expensive drinks but fun to do once. I can see going back to Time Out for a Pat La Frieda cheesesteak.
Be the first to ReplyWe have heaters … they just don’t work !
Arrived here for a special meal with my daughter, who had made the reservation. We were offered inside or outside dining and since it was a cold but dry early evening, we went outside with the promise of heaters at every table .
On seating ,the view was indeed terrific , but the server explained that if they turned the heaters on, they fused! So we’re kept turned off. Obviously the front desk don’t eat outside !
After chipping the ice off the olive oil, we asked to be seated inside and were shoved into a corner and then were promptly ignored by the majority of the waiting staff .
The food was average to poor Italian standards , with many dishes unavailable.
The Prosecco was very nice but it felt like it was in an ice bucket somewhere in New Jersey, such was the wait to get a glass refilled .
I think next time , I’d walk along the pathway in front of the restaurant for the view, with a slice of $1 pizza.
Really not recommended, very overpriced in addition!
You need to fix the reservation issue - It is NOT OK to keep people waiting like this
WARNING - If you book a table at Cecconi's, do not think that's the time you will actually sit down. We booked for 7:45 on Friday night and finally got the go ahead to sit down at 8:45pm, an hour late!! Not ok at all. What is the point of making a reservation? They are currently being mismanaged.
When you arrive, there is a bouncer checking Covid passes and ID's, pretty slowly with a hint of attitude. You then proceed into the restaurant and are greeted by three ladies managing the reservations. They told us to 'wait while your table is being prepared' and then left us to hang around for an hour. Surely this four-person team could be done by one person ? Then you can release three people into the kitchens to help make things go faster. I'm no restaurant manager, but for a pretty expensive restaurant the front of house service we received is not ok at all.
This was the second time we received a healthy dose of attitude from staff, so we will not be going back again. One time your bad, fool me twice my bad.
Awful please think twice!
01/14/22 Honestly the worst experience ever. We had a reservation for 8:30pm and we have to wait for 1.5h for the table to be ready. We waited by the entrance where no drinks at the bar were offered not even an apology for the delay. You must address your front desk staff as they are not trained properly to be there. I came from London to have the Cecconi’s experience and instead end up having a very overpriced yet under average experience. Happy to speak to anyone that cares about their costumers but honestly not on!!!! If you find yourself in Brooklyn please don’t basket all your money in this place as if it is not due to my London experience I would never touch this place again! Just Awful!!
Be the first to ReplyTerrible experience with awful food...old fashion "fettuccini Alfredo-godfather" style...!!!
You go to this restaurant because you are attracted by the view that is certainly astonishing; however, the food is another issue. Me and my daughter tried pasta with pesto and a bolognese; the quality was really bad and it reminded me one of those restaurant of the beginning of the century, the classical Italian old fashion restaurant, "FETTUCCINI ALFREDO-GOD FATHER" style !! I am sure that the owner of this restaurant have been to Italy and they know what is a real pesto or a bolognese. I am sorry but this is a tourist trap, old fashion American-italian restaurant offering awful food. As usual they added oregano and several spices to the bolognese sauce; They forget that Italian food is very simple and do not need cinnamon, spice or oregano to be added. Mamma mia what a disaster.....
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful location and great Negronis!
We went to Cecconi's for a joint 50th birthday celebration. It is a high end restaurant, beautifully placed in NYC with views that are really quite something. Our table was booked for 8.45pm. We arrived early and ordered Negronis.
Food was very nice, but seriously lacking in veggies. I had a very nice steak, with sauce and potatoes, but no veg! Deserts were also nice. So far...so good.
A couple of the party asked for coffee and were told that the machine was shut. Disappointing, but ok.
Now bearing in mind we were sitting a lovely restaurant with ambient lighting, enjoying celebrations etc, the lights were turned on like we at the end of a theatre show and the staff were stripping all the tables.
Not really in style with a high end restaurant, particularly when the bill came in at $460.
We did speak to the manager who apologised, but to be honest didn't seem that bothered.
I wouldn't put poor, as the food was nice as were the drinks, but to not have coffee orders fulfilled and have the lights switched on and ushered out is not acceptable.
The best “by chance”restaurant that we found
This Italian restaurant was a hidden treasure in Dumbo. We had octopus as starter, delicious. My husband and I shared a pasta, Bucatini which was great!
