Elena was a superstar !!
We love Cecconis and came for a speedy lunch. Elena read the situation well and made sure we got our order in and sent off for mains as soon as we were finishing our starters. She personally served our drinks and made sure our bill was ready when we had asked her. She was super relaxed and understanding (in such a busy atmosphere)
Be the first to ReplyAlways a great visit to Cecconi's
My mom and I went here for dinner and we are always pleased with Cecconi's. It is one of our go-to restaurants every time we're in London - the service is great and very attentive, the restaurant has a great atmosphere and the food is very good. We shared a couple of starters - a selection of crostini, burrata and fried calamari - and it was wonderful. Especially the calamari! For dessert we had profiteroles - AMAZING - and we drank the Italian champagne Franciacorta. The evening was really nice, we had a great table and my mom absolutely enjoyed her evening (it was Mother's day). Will definitely reccommend a visit to Cecconi's if you are in London.

Went to Cecconis, a favourite, fab food, would recommend - and if you can’t get a table then the bar is just as good. The dover sole is mouth watering. I would highly recommend the Zucchini fries as a starter.
Be the first to ReplyPricey but worth it!
Classy traditional Italian restaurant with a real buzz which was full for the duration of our visit with diners waiting outside. Great menu, my tomato and burrata starter was exceptional in its simplicity and huge in portion size! Crab ravioli also sublime. An excellent lunch with great ambiance and excellent service.

Excellent food and service at the bar. Impeccable steak tar tar and seafood bites. Beautiful interior and first rate service.
Be the first to ReplyGreat location and space
Cecconis at Mayfair is one of the classic options for Italian in London. The place is very beautiful and always full of people and energy.
Be the first to ReplyBeware of dangerous hot bowls.
Quite simply the bowl containing the very average gnocchi was dangerously hot and it burnt my thumb and finger. Rough and brown now. I can’t think of anything to say in this restaurants favour. Surly unapologetic waitress could do with some SSRI’s. Gnocchi was hand rolled and simply chopped, claggy, little gravy and a small blob of mozzarella surprisingly not melted.

Extremely rude front of house woman with red hair who would only sit you at the bar without a reservation. Having been to Cecconi’s since 2010 it is sad to see this previously well-run restaurant fall into poor service. Regardless of service the food quality has fallen in the past year. Better pasta at Cipriani and Daphne’s for the price
Be the first to ReplyBest sharing menu !!
We dined mid week and the sharing menu was amazing. Large starters & main with a good selection. Nice cocktails & great staff.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food?!?
Sorry but this is far away of a good restaurant, the food is realy bad, the service,.. the waiter was in the same bathroom as guests, how is this possible? I dont really understand how this could be one of the best restaurants in London,.. only thing that comes to my mind is because English people are used to bad food so they find this good? Go to Italy and you will see what good food is, this is far away from being Italian restaurant..

The quality of the food doesn’t justify the over the top prices. The calamari was good but the tonnarelli was very salty and so was the ravioli. At £23 and £27 were extremely expensive for the quality. A very long wait between the starter and the main course. We were wondering as to whether they lost our order. The service was good.

From the moment we arrived the staff were very disregarding and were quite inattentive. This mood followed us through the night and they seemed quite unbothered to make the effort to help us. They didn’t even take our jackets and left us sitting there multiple times looking for help. We thought this was quite disrespectful as we were lying the same amount as other people who received 5 star treatment.

Restaurant located in Mayfair around 100 metres from Burlington Arcade..nearest underground train station Green Park with a 5-10 minute maximum walk. Traditional decor still looking smart after many years. Great place for traditional breakfast for business or leisure. Excellent location in the centre of Mayfair means lots of places of interest to visit and shop nearby. Great quality traditional breakfast menu with good service. Lovely renownedLondon high end restaurant to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Visited with family for Mother’s Day. First visit. The food is nice but very pricey. £6 for a side of mashed potato which arrived cold, but was quickly replaced. We ordered profiteroles for dessert but were surprised to see they were filled with ice cream instead of the usual cream. The Arancini and fried zucchini were delicious. The portion sizes are generous. The service was good and not rushed and the waitress was knowledgeable of the menu when we had queries. My only criticism would be that the lighting in the ladies toilets is far too dark. I could hardly see and actually nearly forgot to pick up my bag on the way out as didn’t see it! Would return for a special occasion as cost is high.

I was shopping in the area on a Monday evening. Still early but thought to have a light dinner. I expected it to be quiet at 17:45 but it was super busy. Lord knows what the weekend is like. Nice restaurant. Despite it being 'upmarket', you don't need to dress up so much but look neat. A lot of people were smart casual. Indoor and outdoor seating. Great vibe and nice atmosphere. Very noisy. Tables are quite close together. There is also bar seating. I was lucky to get a table. Menu is good with a nice range of options. I had the octopus, scarola, olives & tomato confit which was a starter. I didn't have a main. I thought to have a starter and dessert rather. To drink I had a fresh grapefruit juice. They give complimentary breads and what appeared to be olive oil. Those were the positives. The octopus was not well presented. Despite it being cooked well, it was salty and bland. There was nothing wonderful about it, something you could make at home. I have eaten octopus in Latin America, Spain and Portugal which was outstanding but this was nothing in comparison. The sorbet was OK, tasted the same as a shop or supermarket. Again for a restaurant of this standard, I would expect better presentation. The grapefruit juice was the only good thing! Very fresh. Service was just awful. Yes they were busy but staff were stressed and looked fed up. This is a big name and it has been on my list to try for ages. I want to give it one more go before I write it off so I have booked a table for breakfast in a month as I will go abroad for a bit. Hopefully that will be better. If you do go, book a table!

I revisited today just for breakfast. The Eggs Benedict was one of the best I had. Service was a bit slow (which I remember from previously).

We came for our mums birthday and had a amazing time.. I had the truffle pizza which was unbelievable. We all loved the food and atmosphere here thank you we will be back.

I was so let down by this restaurant. The prices for what you get are astronomical and there are far better places to go in London. Starters were way too big and covered in huge amounts of rocket, and as for the main courses! I’ve had better in Cote, and after eating here would not recommend or return. I wouldn’t mind so much if the food was outstanding or tasted of something, but this is hype and not deserved.

Its great in so many ways....but there is a major problem....its way too noisy! If you like a conversation where you can only hear two words out of three then this is the place for you, its just so annoying...pardon, what, say again etc etc.
Otherwise, great location, tasty food, reassuringly expensive wine list, good service, buzzy atmosphere.
Overrated overpriced inefficient and rude … don’t bother with Cecconis!
30/1/22- Abysmal chaotic service ,rude staff, definitely the last time I visit Cecconis Mayfair
Shown to outside terrace table ( after nearly 10 minute wait) by charmless front of house staff , provided with Wine list and menu and the we waited …. And waited …. And waited for at least 20 until I had to go back in to ask for a waiter to attend , a flustered waitress appeared about 2 ministers later , served the two tables next to us with additional drinks and totally ignored our table and menus!
The front of house girl then came out to declare haughtily that the terrace was now closed after we had been waiting almost 25 minutes! No apologies and a very much couldn’t care less attitude…
Not the premium service that the more than premium prices that Cecconis seeks to command
Very sorry Cecconis but you are not all you are cracked up to be , plenty of better quality better value better service options in Mayfair … like 123 Vegan cafe outside Fenwicks on Bond Street … of which more in my next post
Don’t bother fighting the tourists at Cecconis , find somewhere else , and you won’t be disappointed
Completely and utterly disappointed
I really dislike reviews but in this case I felt I should.
I have been coming to cecconi’s ever since I was a baby and it’s always hit the spot but yesterdays meal was by far the worst I’ve had. All the food was bland and tasteless the truffle pasta was just in a watery cheese sauce. My Milanese was like eating cardboard, my friends crab ravioli was cold.
We asked the waiter for some wine and he said have the Sauvignon blanc it’s ok and cheap!! My friends that had never been before were horrified!
We should of really said something but we was all starving and had plans straight after so we ate and went.
I’m really not sure what happened yesterday but cecconi’s Mayfair had really lost its spark and I was so disappointed and embarrassed as I talked great things to my friends.
Lovely night
I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant as well the service provided by the staff.
The food was also amazing!
We will definitely be back!
Not Recommended
I had not been to Cecconi's for many years, when I tried again just recently, I realised why. Not sure what the Cuisine is meant to be but one thing is for sure, the food was dreadful along with the poor, bad and sloppy service. Never again!

Highly recommend restaurant but sadly very disappointed. The food was poor with congealed pasta and extremely salty. It looked as if it had been warmed up and definitely not fresh or hot.
Service was great and ambience buzzing but the food was really not good. We did mention to our waiter the food was way too salty and he shrugged. Could not recommend abd would not return.
Mixed experience but errors handled well
We've been many times to Cecconi. We like the food and love the lighting and atmosphere.
This time round was disappointing, especially the service. It seemed they were short-staffed, but that is their problem, not mine.
The waiter was young and seemingly not well trained. We had to ask him to refill our drinks, and he appeared to be constantly trying to avoid our attention. This is very poor.Whatever else a waiter is doing, he must be aware of a customer wanting his service (especialy when said customer has his hand in the air!).
My crab ravioli was more like a starter size.My partner ordered a desert which stated raspberries, but when it arrived had blueberries instead! (she can't eat blueberries).
We told the waiter we were disappointed.Without asking, the manager came over, and we explained politely why we were upset.
When the bill came the manager was , shall we say, very generous.
The moral is the restaurant really does need to improve its training. For the customer, by all means complain if you have good reason, but you must not do so in a rude way.If you're polite but firm a restaurant of this class will respond in an appropriate manner.
