Great service and great menu with a stack of options that all looked unique. Beet spaghetti? Yum! I went with Squid Ink Mafaldine. The prawns were delectable. Mussels and clams and bread pudding tiramisu. I will be back to try more menu items!

5 stars all the way across!! The food, the ambiance, the service was just amazing. We sat at the chefs counter where we got to see all the action take place, it was honestly the best seats! We started off with some delicious cocktails. I loved seeing our delicious food be cooked, it was literally like watching an art show! The food was amazing I'm still dreaming of everything we had. We had the charred octopus, the spicy pomodoro, and off the menu lamb chops, and to finish off the tiramisu banana pudding, which was AMAZING! Definitely recommend anyone to experience Cento!
Be the first to ReplyVery cute restaurant.
We had reservation at 8:45p and still had to wait until almost 9:25 before seated. The pasta was very innovative and delicious. We had the spicy Pomodoro, Nonna's Broccoli Bucatini, Squid Ink Mafaldine, Sweet Corn Agnolotti and the Beet Spaghetti. They were all good. Farro Salad and Charred Spanish Octopus for appetizer. Key Lime Pavlova, Date Cake w/ Pistachio and salted Caramel, Banana Pudding Tiramisu for dessert. My choice of pasta would be the Spicy Pomodoro or the Sweet Corn Agnolotti. As for dessert, the Key Lime Pavlova. I know the Banana Pudding Tiramisu was the fav and it was fun watching it collapse out, Flavor-wise, the key lime Pavlova was so much more refreshing after the pasta. All the food are good, but it was very pricey. We were celebrating a birthday and it would be good for the restaurant to comp a dessert or do something for the birthday girl.
Be the first to ReplyReally great pasta place with a vibey outdoor seating area.
Great service. Chill place for a date night.
Be the first to ReplyWe came with a reservation and we're seated right away.
We were seated outside and atmosphere is so beautiful and well lit. We started off with the steak tartare which was very flavorful and soft. I do think the steak was overpowered by the sauce but it was still delicious nonetheless. We ordered three pastas: the corn pasta, beet spaghetti and spicy rigatoni. All three dishes were fantastic and I cannot find a single thing I did not like about it. The best pasta dish was the corn pasta however. So sweet and salty. It may honestly be the best pasta dish I have ever eaten. If I were to recommend anything it would be the corn pastaFinally for dessert we had their special, a brownie cookie and honeycomb ice cream. Again, just so delicious and perfectly sweet. Chewy warm cookie that just melts in your mouth. The service was also fantastic. Our waitress was very bubbly and made sure we were taken care of. Overall 10/10 experience dining at Cento!

Cento Pasta Bar lives up to its hype! Location is quite random & valet parking is $12 (wouldn't recommend street parking) but the ambiance and atmosphere is lovely and the service was phenomenal. All the pasta dishes exceeded my expectations!+Strawberry mocktail - tastes like an elevated strawberry kiwi caprisun according to my friend & I loved every moment of it+Hamachi crudo - fresh and light appetizer to share ~ love the coconut milk cream & garlic combo+Spicy pomodoro - it's got a kick of spice but the basil oil and ricotta make it creamy and delish!+Sweet corn agnolotti - the first few were good, but a little too sweet for us+Beet spaghetti - personal fav!! I love beets so this dish was perfect & love the fresh cream and chivesService was spectacular--they gave us a complimentary pasta dish bc of a mix-up in orders and while we didn't try the iconic banana tiramisu, it looked decadent and a sweet way to end the night!
Be the first to ReplyThe spicy rigatoni may be a little overhyped.
Etta was definitely better. Hostess is really nice, the server not so much. I understand it's a busy night, but saying "I'm not going to take your order unless you guys are all ordering" is kind of hard to hear when it's your birthday night. Also we did ask to order, meaning that we were ready. Just the experience with the server was pretty bad throughout the night. The corn pasta and the radicchio salad were good. Also ordered the squid ink, the sauce is lacking. Food is served cold. Banana tiramisu was a good end, but really light.Won't come back honestly.

Decided to try this place a while back! We sat inside at the counter and it was definitely a great experience being able to see the dishes made in front of you. It was so fun being able to watch the chef prepare our pastas and the smell was phenomenal. The service is fantastic and the food comes out quickly! I was cutting it close with a flight I had to catch immediately after dinner but I still made it. The star of the show was definitely the spicy pomodoro rigatoni, especially with the ricotta and basil which we felt combined for a great combination of flavors. It was the perfect mix of creamy, herby, and savory with just enough spice. The beet spaghetti, while aesthetically pleasant, was a little too sweet for our liking. We definitely want to come back and try some of the other pastas on the menu!

First of all this place is just wow!!! I'm pasta snob and was shocked when my friends invited me for New Years Eve celebration to unfamiliar neighborhood) i keep coming back there every week! The food and ambiance is awesome! Service is just perfect! Quite surprised! LA did't have places like that for a very long time!!!
Be the first to ReplySeriously one of the best meals we have ever had.
Snagged a 9pm reservation got there and was seated promptly by the owner. Ordered the Mezcal strawberry and the endive Caesar salad followed by spicy pomodoro pasta. At this point everything has been perfect including the service. We finished off the night with the tiramisu and it was the best I ever had. We will be back
Be the first to ReplyReally hard to make a reservation, finally got to try this
Really hard to make a reservation, finally got to try this famous pasta bar in LA. Probably the best pasta bar I have ever been to. We ordered the seared octopus, sea urchin pasta, beet pasta and banana tiramisu. We like their beet pasta, but we love the sea urchin one, you can actually taste the ocean in their sea urchin pasta, it is a must try! Overall, great food, excellent service, decent price, and they have valet parking too, no need to worry about the parking neither. ย Will return next time in town for sure!

Be the first to ReplyCool vibe.
Boring food. The food is bland and the nice plates and presentation, unfortunately, don't make up for it. We will not come back here and I'm sad that this isn't a great restaurant. They def don't live up the the hype and all "Best New Places in LA" articles. ย Their PR team did a wonderful job getting a below average restaurant in too many articles. I hope the owner and chef can turn things around and actually make food that tastes good. Beet pasta is at best a 5/10.
Be the first to ReplyUnbeknownst to us, this was a more formal dining
Unbeknownst to us, this was a more formal dining environment than our initial impression. I state this because, ย as Cento is walking distance from our home, we brought a 1 year old and a dog along with us for the 5pm patio meal. ย With that said, the staff was more than gracious, patient, and incredibly kind, despite the antics happening at our table. 1-They provided a child's seat 2- They had a complimentary pasta dish for children 3-The music was a great mix of genre and just loud enough to muffle the 1 year old's antics and yet still at an enjoyable level. ย The Hamachi and Tartar were exquisite. ย The squid ink pasta was perfectly spiced, the greens of the Jidori chicken were like nothing I had had before(excellent), and the chicken itself was cooked to perfection. ย We greatly enjoyed the food, service, and will likely minimize the company on our next visit! Thank you Cento. We appreciate you.
Be the first to ReplyCame here for a special celebration and got our table
Came here for a special celebration and got our table immediately upon arriving for our 7:00 reservation. We weren't starving when we arrived so we weren't feeling the appetizers since we were told it would only be about a 15-20 minutes bearable wait for our entrees. It actually turned out to be more than a 30 minute wait for the sea urchin spaghetti to come out. And then about another 20 minutes for the short rib ragu to arrive. They came to apologize twice for the miscommunication in the kitchen that caused the delay with our second entree but we were hungry by that point and it ruined the experience already. Would have been nice if they were able to offer bread or something to hold us over but I don't think they had any on hand since I didn't see any on any tables. It looked like only two guys working the kitchen (I could be wrong) and that may have explained why we got our orders so late. I enjoyed the short rib ragu with the dehydrated (?) Tuscan kale but I have had better sea urchin (uni) spaghetti elsewhere. The place did have a nice ambiance with outdoor seating and friendly service though. Looked like they would be able to accommodate a large party outdoors. Only counter seating available indoors. Street parking or valet available.
Be the first to ReplyI'm sure the food is great.
Wish I could have tried it. But we showed up today for a reservation we made a month ago to find a sign saying that they had to close. So they had the wherewithal to type and print a sign and put it on their door but not to send an email or text though Open Table to notify people so that we wouldn't drive across town? Feels so inconsiderate and unprofessional.

This is one of my favorite new places! Pricing is so so reasonable for the quality, ambiance, and service. I highly recommend the tartare, the octopus, spicy pomodoro and mushroom pasta... honestly everything was great, perfectly seasoned and pasta cooked aldente. Wait staff is so friendly! And wine list is great!

I'm not someone who usually seeks out pasta places but I came here with friends and was blown away. The food is beyond amazing, the ambience is really trendy and nice. Bonus points to the chef who sent my 1 year old the best cheesy pasta she will ever eat. 10/5 would recommend.

Has anyone noticed that West Adams is becoming a place to go eat? ย We have been to a few great ones like Mizlala and Mian but couldn't get a reservation at Cento. ย Finally relenting we decided to grab "lunch?" with a 5:15pm reservation. We sat at the bar which was much more fun than sitting outside. ย The service, the chefs and food were all outstanding. ย Not a bad thing to taste or a bad thing to say about the experience. ย In fact, they have a cauliflower dish with raisins and olives that blew me away - especially since I don't eat any of those things.Go soon!
Be the first to ReplyWonderful restaurant.
glad we were finally able to snag a res. Went early for dinner and stayed a while, was great as they didn't rush us. Everything we had was delicious and creative, well prepared. It's a beautiful restaurant. The patio was more preferable for me but looked fun to sit inside around the open kitchen space. It's a lively urban retreat. Feels like a bit of an escape. Lots of space between tables outside which is always a plus in LA. Very attentive service as well. Food took quite some time to come out but we weren't in a hurry. Like everywhere they seemed a bit understaffed and were hustling so be nice. The pastas are all really delicious, generous portions and my suggestion is to leave room for dessert. Lovely experience all around. I'd go back anytime.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing fresh pastas.
Which are very unique, inventive & outrageously delicious. Love the beet pasta for both the visual ย & the tastiness. But you can't go wrong with any of them!
Be the first to ReplyThe food was delicious.
The celebrity chef and the staff made the experience even better! Intimate, great food!
Be the first to ReplyReally good pasta main course and dessert.
Look forward to going back. Banana tiramisu was a delicious new idea.
Be the first to ReplyThe place was Okay.
The pictures make it look more special than it really is. The vibe is really nice. The water/plate server was friendly but it got to a point where it felt strange. He was joking with us a lot and didn't pick up on social cues that we didn't want to keep conversating. At some point, he broke my glass cup and water got on me. I didn't mind too much, but I really wish he paid more attention to his own work. Anyways, the food was a hit or miss. The mushroom pasta (yesterday's special) didn't have any flavor to it. The steak tartare was delicious. The octopus was mediocre. The bone marrow was good but small. All the portions are small. Almost felt like a tapas restaurant. Even their entrees were tiny. Their spicy Pomodoro pasta was great and their lamb chops (another special) tasted great. The desserts were just okay. My bill came out to ~$430 for 3 people and I left unsatisfied. I had a second reservation lined up a month from now (I got greedy on OpenTable since the food looked so good) but I just canceled it.
